In the meantime ~ sprinkling it with pink and blue baby pixie dust

spookykitty · 19/10/2007 23:06

Rosybelle - your puppy is lovely

TJuice - looking good for you girl, I have my fingers and toes crossed for you x

ILTS - looks good for you too, I would pee on a CBD tomorrow (I know it's more money and you have spent £s on ebay tests but I'm so impatient)

Re: cakefest bit too far for me to travel ladies sorry will have to do virtual cakefest again instead.

Not much to report here CD16 DP has gone to bed refused to have sex with me opks have gone negative again so am officially back in the complete looneydom of the 2ww, AF due 31st.

iliketosleep · 19/10/2007 23:49

oooooooooooh rosy just read your post on the other thread, told you it gets confusing

ladylush · 20/10/2007 00:01

I didn't use opks this month as there wasn't time to go to the shops to buy some! My cm has changed now though, so must be 2ww (white cottage cheese - lurvely)

Off to hen party in Brighton tomorrow. It's for the friend who is getting married in Belize in January.

TJuice · 20/10/2007 08:17

hi ladies - thanks so much for all the positivity!
did another at work yesterday and was a line! think i am up the stick!!!

have booked the nurse on tuesday for their "proper" tests and my lovely gynae who said she would scan me every two weeks on the same referral note. she really is the nicest woman . . .and her clinic is totally geared up for nervous women: beautiful view over copenhagen, nicely decorated with paintings and candles and comfy sofas, gourmet coffee and soft music playing. Why aren't all women-oriented clinics like that?

am now trying to wriggle out of a (potluck) dinner at my flat tonight with a bunch of my most drinky and smokey friends. what excuse can i give????

i feel bad because i shared a bottle of wine with one of said bunch on wed - just wasn't thinking

rosybelle - that is the most adorable pup i have seen.
ladylush have a great time at your hen party - getting married in belize sounds amazing

wish i could join the cake fest. high tea and cakes is a good idea - i can recommend claridges but there is also a "fashion" tea in some hotel near Knightbridge that i have heard is really good.

splish hope you are doing okay right now?Dustin - i did listen to the fertility mp3! but only twice . . . it was very chilled though and made me fall asleep.

wheelybug · 20/10/2007 08:31

TJuice - great news ! Take care of yourself and try not to worry ( ha ha)

That clinic sounds amazing - rather like an NHS one over here (snort...). Not that I can knock the NHS for the care I received during my pg with dd and m/c but good coffee and candles and nice views would have been nice too

DOn't worry yourself about sharing a bottle of wine with your friend. Lots of people will tell you about getting sozzled in the 2 weeks (or more) before they found out. DH and I went on a thoroughly boozy weekend in the 2ww when I found out I was expecting dd (probably 1.5 bottles a wine each for 2 nights ). A bit silly in hindsight but those were in the naive ttc days when I didn't stress about OPKs, CM, Symptom spotting, age gaps and... strangely... it worked !!

Can you get your dp/h on side tonight ? I had to sit through a boozy meal once I knew I was pg with dd and dh had to drink my glasses of wine as well as his. He got a bit stressed about it and ended up downing the glasses pretty quickly and singing all the way home. Or control the pouring of the wine yourself so people don't notice you're not refilling ? Not sure what to advice about the smoking though....

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. I think we have to start bding tonight (wearing sigh ). So, if we win the rugby, in 9 months time we can call the little one Johnny (strange name for a girl).

lovelylou · 20/10/2007 12:43

Hi everyone. My treatment is going well just being monitered, no chemo My hcg levels dropped really quickly and have stayed down so as long as they stay like that i get the all clear to ttc at xmas. Cannot wait!
I have been reading the thread for a while to see how nh101, popsy76 and EllieG were getting on. What happened to popsy, she just disapeared?

lissiethevampireslayer · 20/10/2007 13:38

oh thats good news lou.

how is everyone today?

TJuice · 20/10/2007 16:32

well, i'm about to eat a large toffee cream cake, but i seem to be the only one keeping up on that front . . .

katendmom · 20/10/2007 18:28

Hi all~ How's everybody?

ILTS what's up, girl? Did you do the proper CB yet? You certainly know how to get center stage! We're all tapping our fingers and feet in anticipation!

TJuice I'm so thrilled for you As far as tonight... I agree, control the pouring and then from time to time go and spill some in a sink/ toilet/ out the window, etc. Another one that works in USA (cuz God knows - we're the fattest nation on a forever diet!) "Sorry, I'm cutting down on booze and sweets cuz I have a wedding in Spring and I don't fit the dress I want to wear." Works like a charm on this continent.

Hope everybody else is doing fab!

Oh, just got my hospital bill for my "procedure" (my D&C). Do you know how much they charged my insurance? $4,300~ Oh my dear God! My insurance paid a bit over $3,000, the hospital wrote off as adjustments like $800 something... and I owe them $125... but $4,300?!?!? I better keep my next pg (if I get pg) cuz this mc business might get expensive!

Tjuice - you are not alone in your cake eating. Over the last couple of days I have had doughnuts, mini pancakes with maple syrup, and chocolate muffins. I have also branched out with some chocolate and crisps. I am on an anti-diet!
Dp won't leave - he isn't being horrible or anything about it, the reverse, trying to charm me into letting him stay, ad I am v frustrated. It's like he doesn't have any respect for my feelings or what I want to happen. If I carry on eating like this, he will no longer fit in the house, and that will solve the problem!!!!

Fab news Tjuice and ILTS.

gillypumpkin · 20/10/2007 22:01

Hi Lou, good to hear about your results and good luck with the TTC from Christmas time! Popsy felt she had to take a break from MN a couple of months ago but we hope she is able to come and join us again very soon

Kate, wow that?s expensive ? thank goodness for your insurance! That is a good excuse for not drinking! Must use that one next time even though it might not wash much here as I am not known for going on diets.

Wheely, how is DH coping with the rugby? Mine, not well. Still nothing stopping you from naming him/her Jonny I was determined to name our Andrew after Freddie Flintoff but that now has bitten he dust too

Tjuice enjoy your evening

Splisplosh I hope thingswork our with DH.

wheelybug · 20/10/2007 22:19

LOL Gilly ... well its not to be Jonny after all.... Percy anyone ???

DH is ok - I am helping him along with useful comments like 'its only a game' 'we've done well to get that far' etc etc ... you can imagine how I'm helping. .

gillypumpkin · 20/10/2007 22:31

Depending on how he does tomorrow how about Lewis?

wheelybug · 20/10/2007 22:38

That might work.. I went to school in LewEs....

Anyway, that all pre-supposes DH gets over his 'what ! We need to do it tonight ! You didn't tell' I wasn't aware I had to submit my request in triplicate. Now, if we'd won I bet it would have been a whole different ball game (...snort).

lol at the alcohol comments. we were out last night (together, with the same people -unheard of!!!! (luckily we found someone who could babsysit - hurrah) cos some friends are moving away from London. The girl who is moving kept eyeing me up, cos the last few times i haven't been drinking is when i have been pg (albeit for a v short time ). I didn't feel like saying "i'm on my 2ww fgs", lol - so who knows what she's thinking..... i even turned down rose, which she kept waving at me.
one of our friends who was there is 22 weeks pg () and she got herself in a panic about whether the ice cream was pastuerised. Bless. To be fair, she hadn;t thought about it til somone else asked her if she was ok eating it - poor thing, how mean .

spookykitty · 21/10/2007 12:02

hello there not much to report here on the dreaded 2ww here not very hopeful this month BDing tailed off towards the end of the week, feeling a bit about things today in general, hopefully mood will pick up later

anything else exciting happening today, we had a BFP this morning on the TTC thread could do with one over here, c'mon ILTS we are all waiting...................

iliketosleep · 21/10/2007 14:04

well i had my internet tests yesterday, 5 of them anyway, they are bfn, BUT im not taking there answer as i dont rate ebay tests and dont know why the hell i brought them!! I think i got caught up with the excitment

It will be 6 weeks on tuesday, i have no af symptoms, no af, my cervix is still very high hard and closed which i still dont know what that means. so blarghhhhh!!

dp has banned me from tescos so thats out of the question and i cant afford a cb or a cbd

im going to leave it till wednesday till i use a 'proper' test, and i can hold out as i have my internet cheapies to wee on in the meantime so im still satisfiying my addiction

07mumstheword · 21/10/2007 14:54

Wow ILTS its all going on for you at the moment and the signs are so positive. I have a CBD in my cupboard and if you lived round the corner I'd bring it round and wait for you to use it!! Very exciting.

I received my Ebay tests yesterday, I'm not due to test until next Sunday but guess what I just had to use one so I used one today (one reason I bought them is so I can save my expensive ones for best!) Of course it was BFN but I had the urge to test my urine. Even thought it was BFN I felt better afterwards, crazy behaviour! Lets hope it's a different result next wk.

iliketosleep · 21/10/2007 15:49

as long as you promise to not tell my dp ill let you in on a secret...

I just went and got another tescos test, took it my mums where i am as im writting this and a line came up within 3 minutes! still faint but its there.

i have dismatled the test still but the test strip has a line on, thats a positive yeah??

lissiethevampireslayer · 21/10/2007 15:54

sounds like it

no more testing for 2 days now tho. promise me! your HCG needs time to build up, you'll drive yourself mad if you keep testing, i speak from bitter experience

iliketosleep · 21/10/2007 16:05

no more testing i promise lol

lissiethevampireslayer · 21/10/2007 16:11

i want to believe you....

seriously, if you test every day you wont see a change in the result, so you'll start panicking. a line is a line. a line is a BFP, congratulations, test again in 2/3d and you should get a nice fat BFP.

everything crossed
