@Smushty14 oh that would be a lovely birthday present and a early xmas present! Hope it all goes well.

@Curiosity101 oh that's so annoying about the delivery! Hopefully like you said CD6 will be OK! How much did the private test kit cost if you don't mind me asking (you don't have to answer!).

My old manager rang me up this morning to let me know she was pregnant. So happy for her, but also a pang of jealousy as she said it was unplanned and they weren't trying! Last night me and OH DTD (well tried) and OH just struggled so much because he was tired and he was too conscious of the fact we had to do it. He eventually came, but he said most of it came out when he had already pulled out (sorry more TMI!) so don't really think last night went well and he has said he doesn't want to do it again tonight, but rather tomorrow morning. Don't know if that's too late as I have cramping this morning so pretty sure I am ovulating now. Think that and the news of my friends pregnancy is making me feel a bit blergh today.

Curiosity101 · 06/11/2020 15:22

@Smushty14 Wow that would be an amazing present!

@CookieMonster3001 That's an understandable reaction to your previous manager's news, especially if they weren't trying. Aww, your poor DH. It sounds like he's really feeling the pressure right now isn't he? There's no reason to think you guys haven't already done enough this cycle anyway. Thinking ahead though, if you don't get your BFP this cycle is there anything you could do next cycle to lower the pressure? I think it sounds like you both need a non baby making related treat this weekend. Do you have anything nice planned?

Smushty14 · 06/11/2020 16:22

@CookieMonster3001 I know with me we say we aren't trying trying but I think it's only going to be a few more days until I order some OPK's 🤣 I'm such an all in or not at all person!

Oh no, some people just don't understand other people may have been trying for a while when they say they weren't trying.

I did read somewhere that because the sperm comes out so fast, the goodness from the ejaculation should have gone up to where it needs to and it's just the leftovers that come out. - I know none of that was the right terminology but you get my jist!

@Curiosity101 that it would! Have you got much planned for the weekend?

CookieMonster3001 · 06/11/2020 17:06

@Curiosity101 i felt so bad for him! We have decided next time we are just going to try and do it when we feel like it and if it doesnt fall during fertile week then to switch to mornings instead of evenings as hes better rested. He even apologised abt it this morning and I told him there was no need for him to say sorry but I think hes taking a bit more seriously than I am!

@Smushty14 hopefully thats the case. We have done it every other day this week so hoping itll be enough and if not theres always next month. I just feel terrible that he feels so bad about it! Poor guy.

We have just had our garden done and we have a few bits and bobs we need to finish off so aiming to do that this weekend. With lockdown, there isnt much else to do lol!! What about you ladies? Anything nice planned for weekend?

Curiosity101 · 06/11/2020 17:45

No plans over here. But me and DH have Mon-Wed off of work and it's DHs birthday on Tuesday. So it'll just be a case of trying to have a fun and relaxed time over the next few days. We'll probably go out for some walks and play in the park of the weather is nice. I'm going to be working very hard to stay on my diet though 🙉🙈 but I can hear the wine calling to me from the cupboard already! 😂😂

anibendod · 06/11/2020 22:21

I've started reading from the start of the thread but it's going to take a while to catch up with you all.

DH and I have agreed to start TTC baby#1 from Christmas onwards. I've had my smear this week and I've just ordered folic acid, OPKs, some sticks to pee on and conceive plus. It suddenly feels so much more real!

Curiosity101 · 06/11/2020 22:42

@anibendod Good luck! I think a lot of us will be getting busy as of the new year!

Curiosity101 · 06/11/2020 22:44

I've been taking pictures every 2 weeks to try and track the progress of my weight loss. I'm surprised how similar these pictures look (considering I'm quite short and have lost 14lb). But I definitely see a difference Grin

Keeping the motivation going!

Curiosity101 · 06/11/2020 22:45

I meant to say - there are 6 weeks between those pictures.

Smushty14 · 07/11/2020 08:26

@CookieMonster3001 Fingers crossed - or should I say legs crossed 😉

Ooh what did you have done to your garden? Now we are in our new house I actually need to buy a lawn mower, strimmer and learn how to make my garden borders look pretty!

My other half is working today so will be a walk with my mum who is in our bubble and then house work.

@Curiosity101 That sounds like a lovely plan. I'm fine until I haven't planned what I'm eating and then it goes downhill... I have been following Mark Wright and doing his IGTV workouts and they have been fab. Think I'm going to treat myself to one of his plans but I'm hoping he will have a Black Friday sale 🤣 I'm an accountant so it has to fit with the monthly budget.

That is amazing! Massive difference in those photos and 14lbs is incredible!!!

We also stocked up on Asti whilst the supermarket had their buy 6 get 25% off offer so we have a fridge in the garage with 5 bottles left. Part of me wants to drink them all before we conceive, the other part of me is thinking consideration bottles 🤣

@anibendod welcome!!

Lollipop87 · 07/11/2020 12:17

Hi everyone! Just checking in and catching up on how everyone is 😊 @Curiosity101 well done on passing your exam and that weight loss is fab!

@CookieMonster3001 I read that morning sex is more likely to catch the egg so maybe you could agree to more morning sessions? We did it a lot in the mornings when I conceived, not sure if that had anything to do with it but you never know?!

@sunflowersaremyfav93 good luck for your MRI on Monday, hope it goes well.

I’m nearly 6 weeks pregnant now and definitely getting some more symptoms like sore boobs and my sense of smell has gone crazy! It’s also really hard deciding what I want to eat, I’ve not had morning sickness yet but I definitely fancy some foods more than others! Sending you all baby dust! 💞

piddlestix · 07/11/2020 14:33

Hello planners :)
I'm 37 years old and after weeks of talking about it, me and my husband have decided to start TTC our fourth baby in December!
I have 3 beautiful boys age 6,4 and 1. My eldest has Aspergers and my middle son has Autism. My third seems to be developing without any extra needs making themselves apparent just yet but should he and/or our potential fourth need extra support we are totally ready. We are a very happy and chaotic family! I've always dreamed of having 4 children but I know people are likely to throw a few negative comments my way if I do get pregnant. Screw them though huh?!
I would have liked to wait until my 3rd was a little older but I'm also studying an access course for midwifery and hope to apply for 2022! So really want to go for our much wanted number 4 before the next venture!!!
I'm still breastfeeding number 3 at night and have never had that overlap before. I'm hoping to stop breastfeeding in the next few months but I wondered if anyone else has experienced getting pregnant whilst still breastfeeding?? Thanks in advance and happy planning everyone xx

TheNewMrsW · 09/11/2020 10:24

Hi all!!!

It's been a good few weeks since I posted, was starting to feel like I was getting a bit too obsessed for not even trying yet so thought I would take a break. We've most been focusing on getting out flat ready to market in Jan and hopefully move somewhere a bit bigger!

So whilst we are not officially trying till Dec we are NTNP as I suggested to DH in October that we just ditch the condoms as it seeks a bit daft when it won't exactly be the end of the world if I caught a few weeks earlier than planned! Only problem is I am obvs super aware of my cycle through all the tracking so now I can't help wondering... we DTD on Sat afternoon and think I am about to ovulate today/tomorrow, obviously it would be super unlikely but it is possible so of course my mind is running wild 😂

Hope everyone is well, too many posts to catch up on them all but I see there's at least one BFP 😊 congrats @Lollipop87 and lots of baby dust to the others who are now trying ✨✨✨

CookieMonster3001 · 09/11/2020 11:12

@Curiosity101 a couple of days off work sounds lovely!! hope your OH has a lovely birthday tomorrow. Defo pull out the wine! Your comparison pics look incredible! I can defo see a difference and that's given me some motivation to get my butt moving!

@anibendod good luck!! keeping my fingers crossed for you

@Smushty14 we have just recently moved into a new build, and they just give you a handful of patio slabs, so we just got them removed and put in a bigger patio using porcelain tiles with some sleepers and gravel around the edges. Looks a lot more tidier now and more space for some garden furniture!

@Lollipop87 how are you? Hope pregnancy is treating you well! me and OH ended up DTD on Saturday morning instead of Friday night, and by the looks of my temps, I actually think I ovulated on Saturday now so hoping that's a good move!

@piddlestix welcome! And best of luck for your journey to no4! Sounds like you have lots of exciting things to look forward to!

@TheNewMrsW how are you lovely! good to hear from you and fingers crossed, you never know... Sat afternoon could still fall in your fertile window.

Ovulated a day later than normal (wondering if that's to do with the EPO, which I have stopped now as they say to stop when you ovulate) currently 2DPO today and trying not to think too much of it! Got plenty of work and studying to do to keep me occupied, but defo still getting cramps on my right side, which I think is also the side I ovulated on. My sisters think I am a right wierdo when I tell them I can usually tell which side I am ovulating on and when! lol.
Felt super emotional yesterday and have no idea why! I think this whole lockdown/Covid fiasco really gets me every now and then, and defo missing my parents a lot at the moment! Then again it could just be ovulation hormones lol, so I watched a few Xmas movies!
For anyone with Netflix, I would recommend Holidate as a really easy and funny watch!! Never too early for a xmas movie right?!

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 09/11/2020 16:54

Hello ladies,

We picked up our pup last week so I’ve just been getting no sleep, picking up shit, saying ‘wee wee’ 100 times a day and/or trying to keep my house clean! Wow it’s like having a baby... I genuinely feel like I have a baby. It’s very cute seeing OH with him though. Attaching a photo for cuteness 😂

Right, catching up on all messages...

@curiosity101 congrats on passing, what a relief that must be! How’s things going for you? Have you had any further tests etc?
Congrats on your weight loss, that’s bloody brilliant!!

@cookiemonster3001 Thank you, I was being so hard on myself, I read a story of a heroin addict falling pregnant so that actually made me think ok a few glasses of Prosecco reallllly isn’t the end of the world.
Aww pups name is Archie, he’s super cute l just didn’t realise how much hard work it actually is. How’s things with you? Sorry to hear about your sisters wedding, I can’t believe we’re still at this point at this point in the year. Has she rescheduled? How did the bonkathon go? (Love the name)! I’m absolutely knackered with the pub I can’t remember the last time we DTD 😱 The other day I was saying to my OH how he’s gonna feel when we need to DTD every other day and then every day during fertile week and he joked that I’ll have to entice him but my plan (in theory) is to buy lots of nice new lingerie in the Jan sales... this is all in theory!
I know exactly how you feel about when other people announce their pregnancies and I think it’s totally normal, it will be you soon, keep remembering that.
I literally want to Christmas decs up now 😂

Aw thank you @lollipop87, glad you’re doing well! 🥰

I had my MRI today, I should hear back from the gynaecologist towards the end of the week so will be interesting to hear what he has to say and what next steps are.
Being so tired with the pup I’m really not paying any attention to what I eat, I like to get 5 a day and atm I’m not at all... my OH is working from home this week so hopefully it’ll be a bit easier.
Decided to stop drinking as well, it’s 12 weeks before we start TTC and I know what I’m like, I’ll just feel a lot better mentally if I don’t drink and start eating 5 a day again. I was getting so many fruits and veg in but with Archie we’ve been eating out of convenience.. now I understand why people bring new mums meals 😂

Hope you’re all doing well. Xx

Hi all, I'm new here so might not be up with the lingo!!
Hoping to try for no 3 after Xmas all going to plan. I moved jobs this year so I was reluctant to start trying until I was a few months in. Will be here 4 months in January.
We have 2 boys already and part of me would like to finish off our family with a girl although I know the chances are probably slim to none. Dh from a family of 5boys and 1 girl!
I'm taking my folic acid anyway and will see in January.

CookieMonster3001 · 09/11/2020 18:19

@sunflowersaremyfav93 ARCHIE!!! thats adorable he is absolutely gorgeous!!! He is getting you prepared for when you have a human baby!! My sister always says that! She is gutted but was expecting it. Rescheduled again for Dec which means I have to stick to healthy eating! Bonkathon went well apart from one day. OH is struggling a bit but hopefully next month can be a bit more chilled. We was joking today that if I do fall pregnant this cycle my ff app says my due date would be my birthday! Lol. Is it bad I already have fairy lights up! Makes me feel loads better!!

Let us know how the results come out. Keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

@Moneypenny007 welcome!!!

MayDay27 · 09/11/2020 19:43

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Archie is adorable!! Definitely good practise for the future!

I had my coil removed today, actually so much easier experience having it out than in! I know they see fannies all the time but I hate lying there all on show!

It's really nice to hear from people that also have a couple of months to wait, we're going to start in Jan but I can't wait! It will mean though that I've been in my new job a good few months and we want to aim for September for the earliest. I've started taking folic acid and going to get the OH to take some of the men's ones!

TheNewMrsW · 10/11/2020 14:14

@CookieMonster3001 I'm really well thanks! Exciting that you are in the TWW fingers crossed!!

@sunflowersaremyfav93 eeek a puppy so cute, the practice will be great, I know my cats feel like having a child sometimes! 😂

So based on my OPKS and EWCM I think I am ovulating today - probably this morning - which would put Saturday PM when we DTD inside my fertile window albeit not the optimum days. I didn't quite have full on EWCM on Saturday but it was definitely very wet. So whilst it's highly unlikely given that we only did it once and it was just outside the peak days I think I am technically now going to be on my first TWW from tomorrow - temp in the morning should confirm whether I definitely ov'd today but LH has gone back down so I think it was earlier today. We shall see!

CookieMonster3001 · 10/11/2020 14:33

@TheNewMrsW you never know! My sister got pregnant on her first try only DTD once and she didn't even know which CD it was so its definitely possible!

Curiosity101 · 10/11/2020 15:26

@Smushty14 Oo, I'll have to add that to our drinks list. My current favourite celebratory drink is - Freixenet Prosecco Doc. I thoroughly recommend it.

@Lollipop87 Thanks :) And I'm glad to hear your pregnancy is progressing well.

@CookieMonster3001 Thanks :) Having a lovely relaxed day today. I've also been considering watching Holidate so I might have to give that a go.

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Omg, Archie is such a gorgeous little fluffy fluff ball. I bet his cuddles are the best! Really glad to hear about your MRI, I bet you're glad to have that out of the way?

@Moneypenny007 and @piddlestix Welcome!

@MayDay27 Great news. I bet you're glad to have that sorted and out of the way.

Curiosity101 · 10/11/2020 15:34

I got the phone call from my GP yesterday, my results came back the same as from my private blood test so I've been started on treatment. I've been and picked up my prescription today so will take my first one tomorrow as it needs to be on an empty stomach. I'm booked for repeat bloods on December 22nd but I might get a repeat private test after 4 weeks as all the research I've read says your body will have adjusted levels in just under 4 weeks.

Fingers crossed my starting dose is enough, but I'll just have to wait and see. It's a great step in the right direction though and hopefully, I'll be in a good place for TTC in the new year.

CookieMonster3001 · 10/11/2020 16:25

@Curiosity101 oh that's great news and so glad that they managed to get the appointment you had pushed forward otherwise you would have been waiting ages, just to get the same result! At least now you can start your medication.
Getting in another test in 2 weeks sounds like a good idea! Let us know how you get on :)

TheNewMrsW · 10/11/2020 16:38

@CookieMonster3001 haha I just feel like I won't be that lucky! It's silly as we are only NTNP this cycle but you just can't help but zero in on it and analyse to death haha, I totally get what others were saying earlier in the thread about NTNP being frustrating, it would be fine if I wasn't already cycle tracking but as I am I just have too much information 😂

Curiosity101 · 10/11/2020 16:47

@TheNewMrsW it would be fine if I wasn't already cycle tracking but as I am I just have too much information

I know exactly what you mean here. I think I might suggest just using contraception during my fertile week in December and see what DH thinks. That's kind of like the equivalent of NTNP if you know when you're ovulating I guess? Admittedly I know how my mood changes throughout my cycle, so I know I would end up DTD pretty much a day or two before ovulation even if I wasn't TTC.
