@Curiosity101 oh that sounds awful, hopefully your next pregnancy will be easier going! I'm quite proud of myself for managing to stick with my diet and exercise thing for so long, usually by this point I've got bored and decided to bake and eat a whole cake or something 😂

mackjm20 · 26/10/2020 10:10

@Curiosity101 not surprised re the mixed emotions bless you! How did the go appointment go? That makes sense re the waiting to ttc as Atleast once you have results hopefully they can put you an action plan together :)

I am due af tomorrow and feeling super grouchy this week lol! Just want to eat all the choc! But this has given me more time for weight loss to trying to focus on that and lock away the choccy :) xxx

CookieMonster3001 · 26/10/2020 12:08

Good Morning Ladies!! Guess who is back!
I had such a lovely time away with the hubby, plenty of walking and lots of eating!! Lots to catch up on so bare with me!! This might be a long post.

Just an update from me first, AF arrived this morning bang on time! I was pretty prepared for this as I had a BFN on 12DPO and my temperature dropped, so I had a couple of days to get to grips with the fact it hadnt worked this month before AF arrived. Feel OK about it to be honest and onto the next cycle! Decided to start taking some evening primrose oil to help with CM this month, along with some Omega 3 fish oils. So we will see what happens!! Fingers crossed!

@lollipop87 how are you feeling? Hope you are keeping well!

@curiosity101 loving the bulk order from boots!! As soon as my temp dipped, I dragged OH to holland and barretts for more suppliments!! Was very tempted to buy FRERS but I really don't want to get into a habit of testing early! Im glad you said about drinking the wine during TWW. After my temp dipped, I beat myself up a bit for drinking during the TWW and felt so guilty that I probably wasnt pregnant because of that, so that comment made me feel a lot better! I am going to be in my next TWW during my sisters wedding and I don't want to avoid having a drink if I dont need to, but defo going to just try and stick to one celebratory drink. So sorry to hear about your thyroid test results, but as you said, at least you know now! Hopefully they can get things in action for you quickly.

@Leah2501 hope your coil removal this week goes well!

@mackjm20 so sorry about your BFN lovely! We both go into cycle two it seems! Do you know when your next fertile dates are? It is nice to have someone that has same sort of dates as me and similar situation! I totally feel what you mean about a Christmas announcement. Even though I tried not to get too excited its so hard not to look into these things, and I was already thinking of ways to do it! Defo use the OPKS and temping this time. It really helped me to pinpoint ovulation and seeing that temp drop helps me to manage my expectations before AF arrived.

Curiosity101 · 26/10/2020 12:08

Thanks @littledinokitty and @Lollipop87. I didn't mean to have such a moan ☺️🙈. And I honestly count myself lucky in so many ways, at the end of the day I got my wonderful DS so it was absolutely worth it.

@littledinokitty You're doing awesome with your weight loss. Keep it up. If you need cake then eat it, but if you don't then give yourself a huge pat on the back! How're you getting on? Do you have a regular weigh in day?

@mackjm20 It went well thanks. I've got my Endocrinologist referral so I'm going to call my medical insurance and see if I'm covered. Hopefully I am and will be able to get started on treatment within the next few weeks. That'll mean plenty of time to get repeat bloods before Christmas. 🤞☺️ I think a few more days has really helped to get my head around it.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear you're struggling. Was it definitely a BFN then? I know you're wanting to lose weight but a treat when you're feeling down isn't a bad thing if you need it. I'm so convinced that being motivated and positive is the key to keeping the weightloss going. You can have some of my chocolate 🍫 if you want? Especially seeing as I bought 3 big tubs ready for trick or treaters and it sounds like Halloween is basically cancelled now. 😭😭 We have 1.2kg of chocolate in the cupboards.... How's your weight loss going?

Curiosity101 · 26/10/2020 12:14

@CookieMonster3001 Hey! Glad it sounds like you had a wonderful break. Sorry to hear about your BFN 😔. This cycle could be the one though!

I'm glad the alcohol comment made you feel better. You honestly have nothing to blame yourself for! If I were you at your sisters wedding I'd definitely have a drink or two. For full disclosure I did abstain during the two week wait, but only because there were no parties etc. If I'd had social occasions to go to then I would 100% have drunk as usual and been confident I wasn't causing any harm.

Curiosity101 · 26/10/2020 12:16

My Boots order arrived today! I've already prepped DH and told him to hide the HPTs away from me until at least 10DPO on our first month of TTC.

I do the same for him but with chocolate 🤣🤣

Lollipop87 · 26/10/2020 14:34

@CookieMonster3001 hi! Glad you had a good time away, sorry to hear about your bfn but I’m sending you baby dust for your next cycle 😊 I’m feeling good thanks, the cramps have subsided (think they were the after-effects of implantation cramping) but I’m super tired! Had nearly 10 hours sleep last night and I still could have slept longer. I’m just waiting for the nausea now, in a weird way I want to feel sick as I feel like it’s more of a sign that everything is on track.

@Curiosity101 honestly everyone needs to vent sometimes and you’re in the right place for it! Hope everything works out well with your appointments. Haha good idea on getting DH to hide them 😂

Curiosity101 · 26/10/2020 14:56

@Lollipop87 Oh yes, I absolutely cannot be trusted with access to HPTs. Especially the ICs, they're 15p each so there's literally nothing stopping me. But they're all going to be locked away for my own sanity. 🤣😂

I’m just waiting for the nausea now, in a weird way I want to feel sick as I feel like it’s more of a sign that everything is on track

I know it's easy for me to say but please try not to worry about this. Some people don't feel sick at all, others only feel sick for a few days here and there. Morning sickness is not a measure of whether you have a healthy little bean on board, it's just the reaction of your body to pregnancy hormones. I remember the relentless tiredness though, so if you are going to get morning sickness it's probably not far away. I think you're almost 6 weeks? 6-8 weeks is very normal for the nausea to start and it can literally appear overnight. 🤢

littledinokitty · 26/10/2020 16:42

@Curiosity101 I'm down 8lbs now, 16lbs to go. I weigh most days cos I find that more motivating than just once a week. How's your diet going? Are you following any particular method?

@Lollipop87 glad the cramping has stopped. You may not get any nausea - I didn't (apart from in the car, but I've always got car sick, it was just much worse in the first trimester).

Curiosity101 · 26/10/2020 16:56

@littledinokitty I'm 10.5lb down 3.5lb until pre pregnancy and 14.5lb until goal. I feel like I'm definitely starting to notice the physical difference in my size now which is nice. I'm like you though, I need to motivation of daily weigh ins.

I'm was doing TheFast800 but was finding it a bit too extreme so I'm keeping to 1000calories a day most days but throwing in the odd slice of toast or having wheetabix for breakfast etc rather than doing it as an 800 calories per day keto diet.

How about you?

Lollipop87 · 26/10/2020 17:07

@Curiosity101 thanks for the reassurance, I’m only 4 weeks so I guess it could start in a couple of weeks but I’ll try not to over-think it 😊

@littledinokitty funnily enough I never get car sick but twice in the last week I’ve felt a bit sick on car journeys so maybe that explains it!

Curiosity101 · 27/10/2020 08:22

@Lollipop87 I know it's super easy for other people to say don't worry... 😊😄 But please just try to bask in the wonderfulness of being pregnant without any of the negative side effects. And fingers crossed it stays that way for you! 😊🤞It totally could explain your car sickness though.

mackjm20 · 27/10/2020 10:27

@CookieMonster3001 sorry to hear about AF arrival mine is due today which if she comes on time will put my window 7-13th however I am defo using opks and thermo this month to hopefully pinpoint ovulation! Same re Christmas like it’s not the end of the world though :) yes so glad we are both on similar timings and cycle 2 it’s like having so many friends in this group :) this cycle I am not testing at all! As I was seriously obsessed in my last tww! Have promised dh I will just wait to see if af comes :)

@Curiosity101 glad to hear you got your referral! Fingers crossed you Are covered and sounds like timings will work well :) I mean it’s still a bfn today and af is due today so just waiting for her to arrive lol! I’m okay it’s a little disappointing but only cycle 1 and I just had a feeling which helped me not be like so shocked when it didn’t happen :)

CookieMonster3001 · 27/10/2020 11:28

Thanks all! Fingers crossed this month is the month! And I am defo using these next couple of weeks to try and drop a bit more weight so sticking with the healthy eating! Definitely makes it harder to go out on walks when the weather is so miserable!

OH is having a tough time at the mo too as he is really not enjoying his job. We need to get on with BD'ing next week and feel really bad pushing him when I can tell he is not in the mood. Hopefully things will be a bit better next week and its just the post holiday blues!

littledinokitty · 27/10/2020 12:30

@Curiosity101 that's great that you're noticing a difference now, must be really motivating. I'm doing intermittent fasting, tracking calories in mfp and aiming to work out 5x a week

@mackjm20 hope your second cycle will be a lucky one for you!

@CookieMonster3001 the weather is so depressing now isn't it, its way less appealing going outside when it's so damp and gloomy

Curiosity101 · 27/10/2020 12:31

@mackjm20 That's a shame :( I appreciate wanting to get onto the next cycle though Grin. I'm equal parts wishing away the next couple of months and wishing time would slow down. If my cycles remain normal I'm due to ovulate at the end of the second week in January, that would give a due date of the first week of October. Next cycle is estimated due date of 1st November. Will have to discuss it with DH nearer the time when I have a better idea of dates. Although more importantly, I need see how my referral/treatment goes.

@CookieMonster3001 I thoroughly recommend a good quality waterproof coat if you don't already have one. Either big enough that you can put lots of layers underneath or a nice winter one. I have a Musto BR1 Canter Jacket, it's from when I used to ride horses but it's the best coat I've ever owned.

It's good to hear you're putting the delay to good use Grin, really hoping this month is your month!

Sorry to hear your DH is struggling at the moment. Is there anything you can do to help him work through it (not for the sakes of TTC of course), but I imagine once he's feeling more upbeat things will all slot back into place?

Curiosity101 · 27/10/2020 12:32

@littledinokitty Gosh, you're a lot more motivated than me by the sounds of it! I'm really impressed. Have you noticed any benefits yet? I'd imagine the exercise is probably starting to have a noticeable effect now?

CookieMonster3001 · 27/10/2020 13:30

@Curiosity101 Yep I have a waterproof coat, trousers and boots! Looks like I am going to have to pull them out! Just got back from a quick lunch time walk with hubbie and my trainers are not going to cut it now! I had a lovely bowl of soup and tiger bread which has warmed me up now! We had a little chat about work and I think he's just overwhelmed with how much he is doing at the moment but he is still feeling OK about TTC and confessed that he actually is enjoying it as I am initiating the BDing more than before, which made me feel a bit better.
When I had told him my temp had dropped, I think he still thought it would be OK because he really thought that you just do it and you can get pregnant, so I think it was a little shock to him when AF arrived. He was like I just don't understand, why is it others just have sex once and then they are pregnant and when I said even if the timing is bang on, we still only have around a 20-25% chance he was completely shocked!

2nd day of AF and I am already pretty much finished! I am hoping adding a bit of EPO will help as apparently it helps to strengthen the uterus and hopefully thicken the lining.

Curiosity101 · 27/10/2020 16:07

@CookieMonster3001 That sounds really positive regarding your DH! And I'm really not surprised he thinks it's easy to get pregnant. I think we all have it drummed into us so much as kids that it's hard to understand when it doesn't happen straight away. I've been telling my DH the same. He's convinced it'll happen first month after DS being easy to conceive. I keep impressing on him just how lucky we were.

What's EPO? I feel like I might need some of that 😄, who knew we'd every want heavier periods?!?

Lollipop87 · 27/10/2020 18:13

@CookieMonster3001 I think she said in TIWGTGP that if you time it right then you have more of a 33% chance of conceiving, so maybe your husband will prefer those odds for next cycle?! If it helps, my periods were pretty light (bled for 3.5 days but the final day and a half were super light) and I did worry but so far everything seems ok (touch wood!)

@Curiosity101 I know right!! Our school sex ed lessons have a lot to answer for 😂 I think it stands for evening primrose oil??

CookieMonster3001 · 27/10/2020 19:34

@Curiosity101 yep its evening primrose oil. I have literally no ewcm so its supposed to help produce more of it. Bit nervous abt it though as a few ppl have said its delayed ovulation and if that happens then we have no chance as I am going to visit my parents the week after. Hopefully it will be OK

Curiosity101 · 27/10/2020 19:42

@Lollipop87 It's so true! Although I do feel age plays a big part. If we were all teens TTC I reckon conception rates genuinely would be higher. Biology is a cruel thing! Grin

@CookieMonster3001 Ah I see, thanks for clarifying. Fingers crossed for you, hopefully you get all the good effects and none of the negative ones!

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 27/10/2020 20:37

@CookieMonster3001 Sorry it was a BFN! Baby dust for next cycle!! Apparently pre seed helps too because the lube doesn't kill sperm like other lubes and helps so erm get up there because it imitates CM. Worth reading into it because I read some good things, I'm def going to buy it for when we start ... 96 days to go.

Will catch up on messages properly now 🥰

CookieMonster3001 · 27/10/2020 21:17

@sunflowersaremyfav93 i have read a few good things about preseed but its so expensive!! May consider if the epo doesnt work. I also broke OH heart a little when I said no more oral help (sorry tmi) as it kills sperm! His response was "you can still blow me after fertile week right?" Nearly spat my coffee out lol

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 27/10/2020 21:19

@CookieMonster3001 Hahahaha love that! 😂😂 that's made me lol!!
