Same here! Its been interesting learning about my body 😊 I hear you on the worry and stress! My search history may suggest other wise 😅 i get usually get bad cramps when i ovulate! I know what you mean I can't wait for my turn this will be our first! 😊

Nam095 · 24/08/2020 07:00

@Jemmy94 @Sip123 what apps do you ladies use? I use fertility friend for their chart as apparently they’re meant to be really good but mine hasn’t detected ovulation yet, I thought I ovulated on 21st due to OPKs but I thought FF would have detected the ovulation by now? From my chart do you you think I have? My temps have been erratic since I had my failed ovulation attempt 3 weeks ago so the measurements before this week may be throwing the app’s calculations off. I hope I have ovulated this time 🙁

@Nam095.. I use Femometer... but mainly as a recording mechanism, it hasn’t guessed the pattern 100% but given guidance. in the months I’ve done it my ovulation has peaked and temp risen one to two days later last month stayed high for a week this month who knows.. this month I used the Femometer oil’s and clear blue..
I keep over googling and know that doesn’t help..
we are due to get married and don’t want to book venue until we are pregnant and had first scan which I know is just me putting pressure on us even more

Sip123 · 24/08/2020 07:19

opks not oils!!

Jemmy94 · 24/08/2020 07:31

@Nam095 I use fermometer too, although it hasn't been accurate so far on my cycles at first but it does readjust itself once it has all the information! I use it for bbt, opks, cm, symotoms, diet, sleep, tablets dtd pretty much everything! Looking at your chart confuses me (im only just learning how to read them myself) I think the general rule is that you have around 6 days of low temps then when you ovulate your temp goes up between 0.2 degrees and 0.5 degrees but you have 3 readings of a high temp then sometimes if you implant you get a dip afterwards in temp? I hope that makes sense? Did you have any other signs at all with ovulation like cramps or?

@Sip123 We have so much in common there! I use the fermometer app, i believe I caught the end of my ovulation warning from my opks, my app was quite far off this time but readjusted itself! Are the clear blue ones worth the money?

I too am getting married on May 15th next year it was supposed to be 27th of July this year (might have to skip ttc next month so im not due on my wedding day!)

Nam095 · 24/08/2020 07:52

@Jemmy94 @Sip123 I use femometer as well ☺️ I mainly use it for OPKs and symptom spotting, I got my peak opk on 20th and 21st but then got weaker in the afternoon, but I seem to get symptoms every day and it’s always the same ones so I can’t differentiate them to anything. I had cramps a few days before and then on the day I think I ovulated I had sharp pain in the right side of my abdomen, as if the ovary was prepping to release the egg. Just wish I could find out for sure that I ovulated this time. Congrats to you both on your future weddings ☺️ I’ve been with my partner for 9 years and no ring yet 😂

Sip123 · 24/08/2020 07:56

@Jemmy94 I would say it just gave me a lot clearer idea earlier as I struggle to read Femometer ones even with intelligent reading thing. But I don’t know if would keep buying once I have a clear idea of what’s going on... ideally would get pregnant and not need too!!!

I ovulate around day 10 so would have missed it if not for tracking

Sip123 · 24/08/2020 18:51

@Jemmy94 and @Nam095 out of curiosity are either of you taking any supplements/ vitamins etc, I find myself over googling this also!

Jemmy94 · 24/08/2020 19:27

@Nam095 Its such a puzzle working it all out 😆 I had really strong cramps last month, but this month they were no where near as intense! Sounds like your cramps are ovulation pains to me! I know what you mean its a lot of guessing 🙈 I'm still doing an opk each day just in case I was wrong about my ovulation 😆 Thank you 😊

@Sip123 I am tempted to buy one... as like yourself I struggle to read the opk strips? Really? My cycles vary between 32 and 34 days so I usually ovulate day 15 or 16 or so I think I'm finding! I have been taking pregna care vitamins for a month now and they seem to be okay so far, i have suboptimal vitamin D so went with one with the vitamin D being higher. I've really focused on my diet too, making sure I eat plenty of fresh veg and fruit! I find the science behind it all really interesting 😆

Nam095 · 24/08/2020 19:54

@Sip123 I have a folate and vitamin D deficiency so I started taking them a month before TTC, I’m also taking iron with vitamin C and also magnesium. I do feel a lot better from taking them ☺️

Sip123 · 24/08/2020 19:59

I have been taking the wellwoman conception and my partner the male one. I also take extra vitamin d.
We eat fairly healthily anyway and more so as I we have an allotment and lots coming off of that. Tonight I read of conception yoga. I realise reading all these things doesn’t help me relax but I feel I should be doing something... so you know what I mean?

nottoosurewhattoput · 24/08/2020 20:09

Hey everyone, I’m 4 DPO, my 4th month ttc and second month using the clear blue ovulation sticks. If at all helpful to anyone, I found my FLO app had been calculating my ovulation wrong. Thinking of everyone going through this process, it’s tough and not enough people talk about it and how mentally and physically consuming it can be! X

Jemmy94 · 24/08/2020 20:32

@Nam095 I've only just found out about my vitamin D i agree since being on the vitamins I feel so much better in my health!

@Sip123 I definately make more of an effort to be healthier now than before!
I really wanna try a preconception massage with a holistic therapist its meant to be good for stimulating blood flow! However I'm really protective and tense around my tummy! 😅
The yoga sounds interesting though, I think researching all this stuff helps to mentally prepare you for carrying a baby 😍

Jemmy94 · 24/08/2020 20:34

@nottoosurewhattoput I love the name 🤣 my app (fermometer has been out both times) I'm hoping it gets better over time! It is very exhausting especially when it affects ever aspect of your life ❤

Sip123 · 24/08/2020 20:39

Hi @nottoosurewhattoput i agree I have also found the apps alone can be misleading, I definitely think the tests help too.
I agree there’s not enough awareness it’s all about preventing pregnancy then you want one and realise that isnt reality
Trying to keep positive and optimistic

nottoosurewhattoput · 24/08/2020 20:56

@Jemmy94 😂 thanks, I didn’t have a clue what to use! Gosh me too!

@Sip123 definitely, although it can be costly. The CB tests have doubled in price over the last 2 months. I have also read about yoga, there is a lady I follow on IG called yogayinforwomen who specialises in yoga for conception - it’s difficult to know what to do. I am taking folic acid and my partner is taking well man conception tablets and we are using fertility lube.

Would everyone recommending taking pregnacare too?

x

nottoosurewhattoput · 24/08/2020 20:57

Also to add, it’s really comforting speaking to other people in the same situation x

Jemmy94 · 24/08/2020 21:01

@nottoosurewhattoput Love it 😆 I take pregnacare due to there being higher levels in each vitamin which suits me 😊 the minimum drs recommended was for 400mg of folic acid and vitamin d

Jemmy94 · 24/08/2020 21:02

@nottoosurewhattoput I agree its nice to be able to talk about it with people in a similar position

Sip123 · 24/08/2020 21:04

@nottoosurewhattoput I will probably only do it until I run out of these tests as it seems to fall same time each month and just continue bbt.
We also tried the fertility lube this time.
I will look up the yoga person you mentioned

Nam095 · 24/08/2020 21:05

@Jemmy94 yeah I take 400mg of folic acid and 10mg of vitamin D, just hope it’s enough to bring me out of deficiency! Fingers crossed for us all, it’s just a such long and agonising wait

Jemmy94 · 24/08/2020 21:10

@Nam095 Same here I try to make sure I have food that is rich in vitamins too 🥰 It is a long wait I always worry when my symptoms kind of disappear too over the 2ww for AF, i try to take my mind off it by researching how I can increase chances for next time, I bought special fertility lube this week as we hadn't tried that yet

Nam095 · 25/08/2020 08:37

@Jemmy94 yeah I’ve been eating healthy for a while so I know that I’m getting extra much needed vitamins from my food 😊 yeah it seems to be in the middle of the wait for me where I get no symptoms 😂 ah I looked at fertility lube too but I wasn’t so sure about it! My app has finally confirmed ovulation today as well I’m 4 dpo today 😁

Sip123 · 25/08/2020 09:16

@Jemmy94 we have fertility lube.., i do feel like the romance of the decade is deteriorating rapidly though which makes me a bit sad!
@Nam095 I hope you are starting to feel a bit clearer about ovulation ??

nottoosurewhattoput · 25/08/2020 11:00

I think I need to be taking some more vitamins! I definitely have sore boobs today but I think that’s ovulation playing tricks on me, and also thought I could taste a metallic taste but again I think it’s all in my head 😩
