@paintfairy atleast the test is done. Good thinking about booking appt as that would have delayed it even more!! Atleast you may have some answers if anything.

Juno231 · 06/11/2020 09:25

@paintfairy tbf the nurses never know what the tests are for, it's on the system and they just print out the label that goes on the test tube so I don't think you need to worry about that. Fingers crossed the phone appointment goes well!

So my clueless CB monitor friend (lol btw - it never spotted ovulation last cycle even though her day 21 test said she ovulated) has been told by her GP that now her tests all came back fine that the next step is an HSG. I haven't been offered that.... I'm inclined to speak to my gp to request it but now I'm in the tricky spot where I probably need to register with a new local gp first.

I'm sorry I thought I'd given an SA update but that was probably on a different thread lol. It came back completely fine. They did note in his papers that he has a very elevated round cell count but then the GP didn't mention it as anything to worry about so god knows. Sort of frustrated that all we can do is plod along.

@MrsTwentyEight here's hoping!

@Juno231 how long has your friend been trying? I thought only referral places did that? If all my tests are done my gp will refer me to the clinic (likely take forever mind) and only they would suggest anything further? Which i think is the next step now the bloods are done. I think they might have done an ultrasound usually too, but just haven't because I had one last year.

Good about the SA. Well, kind of. You are like me - no apparent reason still. I have read a lot on fb groups etc though where literally all tests have shown no reason and its unexplained. I would rather have a problem! At least then they know what to do. Or not.

Juno231 · 06/11/2020 11:00

@paintfairy at least when it's unexplained we're prime candidates for IUIs - apparently it's us couples it works best for. Often it can be unexplained yet due to the a hostile environment in the woman killing the swimmers off so IUIs can bypass that

OP posts:
paintfairy · 06/11/2020 11:07

@Juno231 hostile. 🤣 Perfect word for me. So very likely! 🤣🤣🤣

Juno231 · 06/11/2020 11:09

@paintfairy haha I know right?! When I read it I was like yup, that must be it.

OP posts:
paintfairy · 06/11/2020 12:13

@Juno231 be good if iui worked though. I'm hoping we can sort without ivf. I'm not sure if I'd go that far with it. I'm really hoping it won't come to that.

MrsTwentyEight · 08/11/2020 20:10

In my latest madness ladies , symptom spotting:

 1. nausea that woke me up (only 6dpo plus I'm pretty sure it was my nachos for dinner)
 2. weird brown rash thing under boobs...this ones a bit weird as I've never had it before but I'm sure it's not TTC related as far too early

Just thought I'd post my crazyGrin

Juno231 · 08/11/2020 20:51

@MrsTwentyEight 😂 you sure it's not a sweat rash?!

OP posts:
MrsTwentyEight · 08/11/2020 22:02
@MrsTwentyEight 😂 you sure it's not a sweat rash?!
Definitely likely 😂😂
I'm even applying anti fungal cream
Bloody 2WW!

paintfairy · 09/11/2020 08:06

@MrsTwentyEight I even find signs not in the 2ww. Oh that's weird- and not usual. Is it linked? When clearly it won't be. 🤣 I think it's just because you pay more attention to what's going on. If you were on contraception you'd never think the rash was anything to do with being pregnant.

Juno231 · 09/11/2020 08:35

@MrsTwentyEight daktacort for the win 😅

CD14 and nothing happening yet. Makes me wonder if I got my CD1 wrong and I'm actually CD12 🤔. Oh well doesn't make a difference does it!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 09/11/2020 09:11

@Juno231 how can you get cd 1 wrong? 🤔🤣 And no probably not! 🙄 As long as dtd now and then to cover things. Doing it religiously doesn't work anyway. I'm not sure what does.

Have to laugh. I was thinking about @MrsTwentyEight and her symptoms after my last reply. And it made me remember what my mum told me. Complete opposite scenario. When she was pregnant with me she didn't know (dad didn't want more kids, 2nd marriage). Mum was on the pill. She also had periods for the first 3 or 4 months. So although there must have been other clues, there was no obvious reason for her to link any of those to being pregnant. Why would you? So even though she was getting fatter, she just thought she was putting on weight and even took her trousers out for work! But literally did not connect the dots! 🤣 Because if you believe something possible (or impossible in this case) you just discount symptoms. Just like we see them and hope it means something. I think the human brain is a funny thing! Anyway by the time she knew about me it was pretty much too late to get rid of me anyway. So here i am. 😁

Juno231 · 09/11/2020 09:30

@paintfairy omg I'm always fascinated by people that have no clue they're pregnant until way into the pregnancy - or not until labour kicks in! My second cousin had that, she only put 5kg on and still had a period so didn't realise she was pregnant until she went into labour! Even then she thought she just had a dodgy stomach lol.

As for CD1 - well my periods are really light, with the odd one where I have one low/medium flow day (but that's on the first day of AF). So this time I had 2 days of my light period only to get hit by the medium flor on CD3 so it's really confused me and now I'm wondering if CD1/2 would only class as spotting for other women? It doesn't help that my temp and RHR didn't drop until quite late so they're not offering me any clues.

OP posts:
paintfairy · 09/11/2020 09:40

@Juno231 I've a friend who didn't know until she was 6 months last year! She'd been on hen dos and all sorts.

Hmmm. Well my spotting is different from AF and I usually gets cramps with AF but I don't with spotting? Also my spotting varies in colour but AF is like a bright colour?
And mine does vary too. This month it started Tuesday night. I had cramps and the blood changed colour. But there was very little overnight. Wednesday there wasn't that much either really. Thursday there was what I'd call a decent amount. Friday not much. Saturday barely anything at all. I'm sure mine get less and less?
Usually my pattern is- medium to heavy (what I'd class as that, maybe isn't a young person's heavy) day 1 and 2. Day 3 is lessening and by day 4 its light.

Juno231 · 09/11/2020 09:50

@paintfairy but sometimes my entire periods is what others would classify spotting in both colour, consistency and volume - as well as lack of cramps. So CD1 and 2 were my normal AF but then CD3 was REAL AF lol - but that only happens some cycles so on those ones I worry about what counts as CD1.

OP posts:
paintfairy · 09/11/2020 10:01

@Juno231 I think that's an age thing. It must be. So many older people seem to have this. And I refuse to believe it means nothing. My periods were heavy and like a week long when I was younger.

Anyway I'd probably count day 1 from when it starts consistently. Whether that be light or not. My first 36 hours were like that this time really. I'm not even really counting any more though. Makes no sodding difference. And we dtd yesterday and will carry on doing it regularly, albeit not timed or religiously).
See that was weird for me. Usually after AF (until nearing fertile week) i find i need to use lube. Not this time. And also quite often i find i can't be in positions where it goes deep this time of the month. Again- nope. Its so easy to overthink things though. I guess your body isn't a machine. There are so many variations going on.
If you opk it doesn't matter what day you think you are on really? (Just start sooner if ever in doubt?).

Juno231 · 09/11/2020 10:08

@paintfairy agreed, so I kept the full flow day as CD3 cause I figured I'd rather be in FW for longer than miss OD by thinking I'm CD10 when actually I'm CD12.

Same thinking here about age or maybe the pill? I used to have long, proper periods and now it's 3 days of nothingness. But my lining is still good at least, that was my main concern earlier this year when I realised that my periods were not going to get any heavier post pill.

OP posts:
paintfairy · 09/11/2020 10:15

@Juno231 I do query if the lining can be good enough? I have wondered that about myself.

And yeah- not sure if it's age or pill. Because everyone my age that's said they are the same, have all been on the pill!

Juno231 · 09/11/2020 12:56

Random but decided to double check my TSH levels from day 3 bloods in July. They're at 3.1 which is within the NHS normal range so therefore "fine" per the GP but if you check anything online, including medical journals and fertility clinics - they all say that more than

OP posts:
MrsTwentyEight · 09/11/2020 13:45

@Juno231 i am on an another thread where someone also mentioned TSH

@MintGreenLife hello! We are 3 ladies who have been on this TTC journey for over 6 months on here too. What did you say your GP said re: TSH? Are you able to shed some light for @Juno231 ?

MrsTwentyEight · 09/11/2020 13:46

PS: @MimiArm hope you're okay and everything's gone well!!

(Also correction : there's 4 crazy ladies on here 😂)

Juno231 · 09/11/2020 14:09

@MrsTwentyEight haha I'm on a third thread with @mintgreenlife so she knows all about my rant today lol!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 09/11/2020 14:29

@Juno231 no, i have no idea because mine won't even let me see the bloody results!

I've got a phone appointment next week to talk to dr about my results. I could kind of ask but I'm not sure how to do it without saying- i don't trust you telling me the figures are normal, so could you tell me exactly what they are please? 🤣 I did had day 2 tests done last year so I could ask if there's any change. Really I need them in front of me though and they just don't seem willing to do that? I might mention this to Dr but I'm not sure they can do anything, reception has to give access.

paintfairy · 09/11/2020 14:39

@Juno231 in fact- my nurse claimed to only be testing progesterone on day 2 (which I did query) so who even knows what I've had tested. 🤣 Complete shambles, it really is.
