@MrsTwentyEight did AF show?

I'm CD12 now with EWCM started CD10 so hoping I'll ovulate in the next couple of days. Slightly tricky this month as BIL is in the same flat until we move to the new house and the walls are paper thin...

MrsTwentyEight · 14/10/2020 08:20

@paintfairy @Juno231 no sign of AF so this is definitely one of my stupid 40+ day cycles 😩 I might book to get my bloods checked as I don't understand why randomly I have these. Tested BFN yesterday too (wasted an actual digital as I only had that left 🥺)

Ahh that's annoying
You'll need to find some time when BIL is not home!

Juno231 · 14/10/2020 09:30

@MrsTwentyEight I feel like you need to start temping to get more of an idea of what's going on! I wonder if it's got to do with a particular ovary of yours that isn't cooperating?

Oh and BIL is unemployed so doesn't really leave the flat lol!

Due to BD tonight again to carry on with the every other day schedule. CD13 here, hoping for a peak OPK soon!

Nvm @Juno231 @paintfairy the red witch has arrived. Cycle 7 here we go.
Hope you're managing it in your FW Juno!

Juno231 · 15/10/2020 14:41

@MrsTwentyEight ah I'm sorry she showed her ugly head. What cycle day was that in the end?

O was yesterday! I went from pretty much blank OPK on Tuesday to peak yesterday and a temp rise today so it was all over very quick. Managed to DTD on O, O-2 and O-4 so at least we're covered.

Was thinking how nice it would be to catch this cycle and:
a) Tell OH on our first night in the new house, whilst drinking a glass of bubbly to celebrate being house owners
b) Being able to do an announcement to our families at Christmas

Jumping the gun? Me? Never!

paintfairy · 16/10/2020 17:17

@Juno231 I think you watch too many cheerful films! 🤣

Sorry AF showed @MrsTwentyEight

Juno231 · 16/10/2020 18:06

@paintfairy haha I'm definitely feeling in a Gilmore Girls /New England autumn kind of fairy tale mood atm! I keep picturing autumn country walks with cute scarves and pumpkin spice lattes even though the weather is shit and I find those lattes sickly sweet lol.

What CD are you at now?

OP posts:
paintfairy · 16/10/2020 18:21

@Juno231 yes they are sickly! 🤣

I'm CD 8 now. Usually ovulate 11 or 12.

MimiArm · 16/10/2020 21:49

@paintfairy @Juno231 @MrsTwentyEight

Hi ladies

@MrsTwentyEight sorry to hear AF showed up. On to the next cycle 🤞

@Juno231 I love your way of thinking haha

So, what a shite week this has been. Our wedding reception is banned, we had to cut our guests again to the bare minimum, cancelled other things like hair and makeup, but we are going ahead with the ceremony anyways. No point postponing when the 4 week temporary lockdown could be extended. So our wedding can last for one hour then we are home again to eat a takeaway 😥

In other news, CD8 today, lots of EWCM (must be the Clomid working) but it would be a miracle if I ovulate, yet alone get pregnant this month given I'm stressed to the MAX!!!

paintfairy · 16/10/2020 22:01

@MimiArm Oh no. That's utter crap! I'm so sorry. Honestly what complete nonsense all of this shite is. Bloody messing with people's lives. I've had enough of it, and it's just all so unfair. I hope you manage to make the best of it. But I completely understand why you are stressed! I live in an area with high rates so I think we'll be locked back in houses soon. 🙄

MrsTwentyEight · 19/10/2020 07:28

@Juno231 you think like me 😂 Every month I picture how to announce the good news to the world and how amazing it would feel blah blah haha I really hope it happens for you ...new home and Christmas!

@MimiArm I'm so so sorry to hear :( I can't imagine how down you must feel especially since you've had so much going on with organising it. Try to think of it as the main thing is you have found your OH that you want to spend your life with and that's the only thing that matters :) (easily said than done I know) The world is in a crazy place right now!

I've lost track of everyone's CDs. I'm CD6 today. @paintfairy where are you at again? Good luck for this cycle ladies. I work in a hospital and all this Covid business got me worried and I am just taking a "if it doesn't happen, it's probably for the best" attitude 🤷🏽‍♀️

paintfairy · 19/10/2020 09:17

@MrsTwentyEight CD 11 for me. So I should be ovulating around now or tomorrow. I've stopped tracking but I'm fairly predictable anyway. Had loads of CM yesterday. Dtd last night.

I think I'm a bit the same? The world is bonkers. I can't honestly imagine having a baby right now would be a good thing. Problem is- I'm too old to delay, so it's now or never. But the normal things like meeting new mum friends, family seeing the baby, you socialising the baby just can't happen? So maybe it isn't meant to be. I can't even be bothered myself right now with all this faffing. Never mind having someone else to worry about. The rules to go anywhere really annoy me. We were away last week and that's the only time I've been out in the real world so much.

Juno231 · 19/10/2020 09:46

@MrsTwentyEight 5 DPO here! CD18 :)

Re corona and having babies... I'm just ignoring it tbh and by the time I actually have a baby at this rate god knows what the world will look like so no point postponing it.

OP posts:
MrsTwentyEight · 19/10/2020 13:12

@paintfairy @Juno231 oh no I'm not advocating delaying at all. I delayed 3 months in the first round and now here we are round 2...it might be a never ending saga for a while so who knows. It's just a coping mechanism for me personally if it doesn't happen soon😕

Going to try and DTD from CD6 regularly 😑 The whole 6 months we have "tried" it has been around the OV window and clearly that isn't working. Will book on for bloods in January if needed. This whole thing sucks 😩 But hey ....July baby right 🤞🏽

paintfairy · 19/10/2020 13:17

@MrsTwentyEight I always start early. Never makes a difference. 🤣 I've tried every time of the month now apart from when AF is actually here. And OH would not be up for that. 😂

MrsTwentyEight · 19/10/2020 13:25

Haha @paintfairy this always makes me wonder. My OH says he doesn't mind it at all but I can't bear the thought of DTD during AF 😂😂 is this a normal thing ? Am I the weird one ? Should I be posting this on AIBU threads ? 🤣🤣

Juno231 · 19/10/2020 13:30

Ha so I got to share this cause it's driving me nuts. One of our friend couples are TTC as well. I think they started last year but have put it on hold several times so all in all probs not tried any longer than us lot have. Except they're utterly clueless about it all and it's so frustrating to listen to!

She got given a clear blue fertility monitor by her SIL (one of those £100 ones) and tried to convince me to get it too because it's a miracle worker and everyone she's spoken to that used it got pregnant within 2-3 months. No matter how much I tell her all it does is help you identify FW/ovulation and I already know when mine is she just doesn't get it... This is but one of many idiotic conversations I've had with her over the months but I guess this one bugs me the most because she's trying to convince me to do something this time lol. I can feel my eye twitching just thinking about it!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 19/10/2020 13:31

@MrsTwentyEight I don't mind if I'm in the mood. But my OH definitely does mind. 🤣

paintfairy · 19/10/2020 13:34

@Juno231 God. Got to love the clueless types! Clearly they thought you'd be amazed too! 🤣 I always heavily look into anything I ever do though. I think I've so far spent 3 hours deliberating what colour dog bed to get and trawling through a billion photos. 🙄 So then when people talk to you like you have no idea, it really pees me off.

Juno231 · 19/10/2020 13:44

@paintfairy haha sounds like we're the same person! Gives you an idea of how stressed I've been about buying bed/mattress/sofa for the new house - esp as OH is so gung ho about these things. But yeah she thinks I'm the one whose clueless for not realising how well this CB monitor works in getting people pregnant... Btw she's all these cycles in but doesn't know what a luteal phase is yet and only learnt about the LH surge last month! Mind blown.

OP posts:
paintfairy · 19/10/2020 14:23

@Juno231 🤣 My other half puts everything off until tomorrow. I on the other hand want everything now but at the same time it needs to be right. So I'll spend forever and a day researching it until I'm sure. Then it needs to happen yesterday once I've decided. 😆 I've no patience with people at the best of times though, so I end up not even being subtle if I think they are an idiot. 🤣

GP rant 54. So - when they spoke to me on the phone about the failed first swab they told me I need to collect another from reception. I collected the urine version but they were being awkward. They told me I had to fetch another from reception. So I said I might as well get it when I do my blood test because I can't do the test anyway. Obviously I had to cancel blood test. So I went in to just fetch one today. Oh no, I can't do that. They don't have them on reception. It was on my notes to give it at my next blood test. And I was like- but that's delaying it for no reason because I'm not actually going to be able to do it then because it'll be AF! Ffs. So I'll have had all blood tests and this bloody swab test will be holding things up.

Juno231 · 19/10/2020 14:26

@paintfairy hahaha they do sound like absolute morons! Utterly incapable of independent thinking and comprehension. GAH!

OP posts:
Juno231 · 19/10/2020 14:26

@paintfairy btw OH is having his SA next week and I'm just fully expecting there to be a c*ck up somehow. Either by him, the clinic or both...

OP posts:
paintfairy · 19/10/2020 14:44

@Juno231 literally useless. Which was why I was dreading having to go down this route.
I can't believe how straight forward our SA was. So maybe yours will be too!? I mean, how hard can it really be? 🤣
