morning everyone DDs slept until 9 this morning I think my body is in too much sleep shock, I'm still feeling rough but it sounds worse than it is now. Hope everyone else with the lurgy is feeling a bit better too. Managed to get some BDing done before DP went away and hopefully my opks will arrive today as well. It's October week school holidays this week in Scotland so DD1 not at nursery so trying to think of things to do with them all week. Today we are staying in as I'm having a delivery and both DD2 and I aren't feeling too well but trying to fill in the rest of the week with things to do.

Har - got to think positive that your little bean will stick, as for cheeses just avoid the unpasteurised soft ones like Brie, Camembert etc hard ones like Parmesan are OK I can't remember where you are and what the local cheeses are. Theres a good website from the Food Standards agency that tells you the most up to date stuff, I used to steal the info off there for my lectures!

pigley - heres to your first

garden angel - I am a big fan of small age gaps hard at first but worth it

shazza - sorry about your BFN but as you say it's only your first cycle off the pill

Shazza2002 · 15/10/2007 09:58

ladylush How was your last AF, was it pretty normal ?.

spookykitty · 15/10/2007 09:58

ladylush - I have a tingly right boob for about 2 weeks now I think it is just weird!

ladylush · 15/10/2007 09:58

at your dds sleeping til 9am.

ladylush · 15/10/2007 10:01

Yes Shazza - last one normal. Bled for 6-7 days and no spotting before or after. Heavy-medium-light flow. I think my oestrogen levels are too high so I am off to reflexology at 11am to see if she can work her magic.

spookykitty · 15/10/2007 10:03

ladylush - never been known before for them to sleep til 9am must be the cold thats whacked them out, DP will be so they didn't do that at the weekend.

Now it's 10 we are all still in our PJs, nothing is done around the house and I'm on MN

fairysnuff · 15/10/2007 10:08

Well, I Jumped on DH last night, just in case they were ov cramps. But would I have been too late? I had the really sore ones on Friday about tea time? So that would be about 50 or so hours later.... isn't it meantto be within 24-36hrs

Can you be of me too ladylush
My DD sleeps to about 9 every day, but I leave her to play and gurgle to herself, I have only just given her her milk about 15mins ago.
It's a nightmare for getting anywhere though, but I never have the heart to wake her.
She is abuot 8.30 at night before she goes to bed, even then she gabbles to herself for a fair while. Must be neaer 9.30 before she decides she might have some sleep, so, about 12 hours, as norm really, just late ones all round.
But I am not a morning person, so I just love her for it

ladylush · 15/10/2007 10:08

That's great sk - tis the holidays! Btw, ds slept through the last 3 nights

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 15/10/2007 10:09

Just a quicky so no time to look through other messages I'm afraid (just having 5 mins quickly whilst baby mindee is sleeping and toddler chatting to herself )......just wondered MissusH how long your normal cycles are and when you're likely to test? Day 29 for both of us but with my cycles all over the place, I'm not sure if I should test yet.

ladylush · 15/10/2007 10:10

spookykitty · 15/10/2007 10:16

fairy - my DD1 used to be like that as well 9-9 when she was little, that suited us fine as DP got to see her in the evening and I don't do mornings either. We have moved it forward and now they usually sleep 8-7.30am as it takes me that long to get them ready for nursery. I couldn't handle getting up at 5.30 or 6am like some people do.

Good news about your DS ladylush

hello looneytunes get a test you know you want to

Shazza2002 · 15/10/2007 10:21

My DD is 4 and still wakes up at least 3 nights a week. She suffers from night terrors which the doctor has said she should grow out of. So I feel that it won't be such a shock to the system when I do (all fingers, legs - now that's a tricky one crossed) fall PG this time, it won't be such a shock to the system

ladylush · 15/10/2007 10:23

I empathise Shazza. Won't bore you with a tale of ds night time antics but suffice to say, I know what you are going through.

PennyBenjamin · 15/10/2007 10:32

Hello all,

Have been a bit quiet for the past couple of weeks, been feeling a bit down about the whole TTC thing, so mostly stayed away. But after a weekend of BDing and (hopefully) ovulation, I'm back in the TWW. Have promised myself no obsessive symptom spotting, but, you know........

Is going to be a bit of a trial because I have a hen night and a wedding in the next two weeks. Will have to think of some good reasons why I'm not drinking.

Anyone got any good excuses they use to explain the teetotalness?

abbevillemum · 15/10/2007 11:03

Hi guys
Having a tearful morning. Took a pregnancy test this morning even though only CD 26. It was negative again. I never imagined after our MC in June that it would take so long. Just don't know how to be upbeat any more...

07mumstheword · 15/10/2007 11:42

abbevillemum Just wanted to give you {{hug}}. I'm sorry to hear you are but it is only CD 26 so could still be hope. I know how you feel I have lost PG and feel very and think it MUST be my turn now!

all you ladies who get a lie in! Having said that DD slept til 8am today but up 7am over the weekend. DH said it must be because he's around at weekends and tires her out! who was it that took her out whilst he watched football sat pm and then sorted her for him to watch rugby sat night?

MissusH · 15/10/2007 11:50

Morning Looney

My normal (not counting weird stuff after the mirena came out) cycles so far have been 32 days & 29 days so if she is lurking TEW should come a-knocking anytime after tomorrow... Still no pms symptoms

I am going to hold out from testing until the weekend if she is still a no-show (I have no tests in the house although I did put them in the trolley in Saturday and then put them back in a panic!)..

I am feeling tres smug at my will of iron

MissusH · 15/10/2007 11:51

Penny taking antibiotics is usually a good reason not to drink...?

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 15/10/2007 12:07

Cheers MissusH - I think I'll wait til the weekend too. Thursday will be day 32 and that's what the first cycle was. I DO have a couple of the cheap tests left (the really early testing ones) but if I test and get a BFN I'll be asking the usual 'is it too early', 'should i have done first thing in the morning' etc etc.

MissusH · 15/10/2007 12:16

Looney with dd I tested when AF was a couple of days late (I wasn't really ttc in the same way as I am now...) and I got a bfn. When Af still hadn't shown a week later I tested again and got an instant strong, dark bfp. Am using the same logic here (ie not testing too early)

abbevillemum · 15/10/2007 12:44

I tested early cos every day that passes, my hopes go up a little more and I couldn't deal with the disappointment of last month when I was so positive that I was pregnant at CD28 and then AF turned up. I thought it would make me less sad as my hopes would not be as high. Still sad though

Bucky2007 · 15/10/2007 13:09

I said I would never touch the list again because I always mess it up, but I don't think its been done for today? . Please feel free to change it if I have made any mistakes.

My boobs have started throbbing at the sides and i can't remember whether or not this happened last month?? I wasn't expecting TEW at that point last month as it came a week earlier than the time before

graciemac · 15/10/2007 14:32

Hello everyone!
Would anyone mind if i join this thread? I have been lurking and felt it only right to show my face.
Here are my credentials: cd21 cycle 6 ttc #2
Just started getting stressed about the ever increasing age gap between dd aged 27 months and baby #2 if it ever appears. dd was conceived without even trying so thought i wouldn't have to make much of an effort this time round. How wrong was i? Just started using test sticks and thinking about charting my temperature. Not sure if this might make me even more stressed though and to top it all off i now have thrush!
We're in between houses and living with my parents so i don't think that's helping much. dh is very supportive and i think quite desperate for a brother or sister for dd.
Sorry for the rant. Bring on the october BFPs!
