07MTW - your DH must have been thinking about you, I reckon it was a chemical pregnancy as well as 3 tests cannot be wrong

Gardenangel - hope you feel better today

Well heres to a good week for us all and a few BFPs too x

TheMuppetMuggle · 08/10/2007 09:25

WOW - the thread has grown sooo much!!

FairySnuff That is tragic news, how is everyone holding up?? (in the best possible way i mean)

SK How are you today??
GardenAngel Monitor hasn't arrived yet due to postal strikes and i'm CD6 today so knowing my luck by time it arrives i'd of ovulated

Well AF stopped but was still getting bad cramps yesterday not sure why, got some BDing yesterday afternoon, which i think DP had to do as a make it up to me issue lol
Apart from the fact i look like one big spot at the moment all is good, and i'll feel much better once i get my hair cut tomorrow.
And i have started my xmas shopping!

fairysnuff · 08/10/2007 10:03

ooh christmas shopping, that always makes you feel good justified spending of money on lots of fun rubbish!!

Well, I was nauseas last night and woozy this morn?
Is that good?
Its too early really isn't it?
And prob has more to do with not eating enough yesterday

7miles!! Madness, I tell you, just madness!

digitalgirl · 08/10/2007 10:06

It feels rubbish to be back up at top of list . AF causing me to eat my body weight in chocolate digestives today.
Also went Christmas shopping yesterday which I absolutely love

fairysnuff · 08/10/2007 10:15

I wish I knew how they were doing, but DH is now in the, do I bother him by calling or would it be nice to call him, but if I did, what would I say, situation.
They worked together but didn't see one another out of work (too many working hours, therefore time away is family time)

DH thinks that that will be upsetting the father too, he only saw his daughter as he drove past her (tooting and waving hello) once in about 3 days before the accident. There is a big job on at work. (Maybe you remember, DH home at 11 on Friday and 9 on saturday) So it would have been thursday he last spoke her.

Sorry, in answer, I just don't know.
Oh god, just remembered, they are going to identify her today They have to travel 100 miles to the hospital where she is, too!! I don't know why they had to take her there.
God, what an awful day for them.
Though, I said to George, I would like to think on it as not identifying but collecting ,her soul, to take her home and put her to rest. (Fairy Towers is a Catholic household)

Would love to say that too them but would be frightened of stepping on toes or adding more hurt. And I don't really know them at all....

fairysnuff · 08/10/2007 10:35

JUst suggested it to DH and he dismissed it out of hand saying there is noway he is going to call him before he calls DH.
I just thought it might help??
DH said he was raging at me for trying to force him to call the man.
I didn't think it would be interuppting his grief, it might help?

I can understand not wanting to call him though.

ladylush · 08/10/2007 10:58

fairysnuff - such tragic news. It's so hard to know what to say in a situation like that. One of my mum's colleagues lost his dd in the bomb attacks in London (she was on a tube)and she rang him but found it very hard. What about sending a card/flowers?

Sk - sorry you are feeling glum. Me too. Depressed to be at the start of the cycle again. Starting to think it will never happen even though it is only Cycle 3!

excitable - sounds promising. When are you going to test?

07mtw- I think it was a chemical pregnancy. 3 tests can't be wrong. Don't blame you for being annoyed with the doctor.

ladylush · 08/10/2007 10:59

Missus - sounds very promising Hope you get bfp

MissusH · 08/10/2007 11:39

You never know, Lady

Although they are not so sore today (perhaps I did shut them in a door, but couldn't remember )

ladylush · 08/10/2007 11:48

According to that chinese calendar I would conceive a boy this month. I checked the date ds was conceived and it was accurate, ditto for friend's boys and again accurate. Spooky I was contemplating skipping october to try for a girl in November but then I thought no way as I might not conceive then and would be annoyed with myself for missing out on an opportunity.

MissusH · 08/10/2007 11:53

According to the chart dd should be a boy... I'm obviously in the 10% exception!

fairysnuff · 08/10/2007 11:54

Ooouh I should have had a boy last time.
Maybe I can't trust the chines chart
hehe

I agree with you excitable I love baseing(sp?) my decisions on these nonsense things too!!

Nevermind, i will just have to find something else that I can convince myself on

ladylush · 08/10/2007 12:03

Oh good, that means I could still have a girl if I conceived this month

I have a real dilemma ladies.........
My friend is getting married in Belize (South America) in January. Quite simply, I doubt we could go if I got pg before then as I wouldn't want to risk the flight and the tropical diseases. Plus with my recurrent m/c history, I wouldn't want to m/c away from home. The question is, do I delay ttc til after the wedding? Problem is, that will mean a bigger age gap between ds and baby AND a winter baby (I so want a summer/autumn one).

Har · 08/10/2007 12:22

Hello! Have been internet-less for weeks now (work from home) and have missed you all, your jokes and your advice! And now I see that AF got my old cycle buddy SK . I hope you're not too down and on CD5 it looks like BD time might be upon you and I'm hoping second time lucky for you!

BIG congratulations to all the graduates - can't believe how many there are!!! But we want more!

Wave to digital! How did the egg hunt go?

As for me I gave up with that after finishing my second pack of ov kit with no smiley faces. Was so happy with my first cycle after pill as 29 days but now on CD 33 of second and no Af so seems my periods are messed up after all (and no eggs ). Of course knowing that I'm probably just in for a long cycle doesn't mean I haven't used 6 HPTs already! Started cramping over a week ago and has been on and off since then, sore nipples for over a week (though fine again now) and felt very queasy for a few hours the other day (but that could have been because I had a cold), now milky CM. So allowed myself to believe it could be a BFP... but 6 HPTs in 3 days can't be wrong! Am booking a gynae appointment for next week to check out whether I am ovulating or not, I hope they do blood tests rather than telling me that I need to wait longer after coming off the pill. Annoys me as I know four people who've just got pregnant, right after coming off the pill.

Anyway, how are everyone's Mondays? Anyone due to test today?!

spookykitty · 08/10/2007 12:25

Hi Har I was missing you, wondered where you had gone and if the AF had got you yet. Sorry about the BFNs and getting no smiley faces. Maybe you are just having an non ovulating cycle apparently (as read on mumsnet) 1 in 10 cycles produce no eggs even for a "normal" woman. I think you are right getting yourself checked out though. Hope AF turns up soon for you though and you can start another cycle.

Har · 08/10/2007 12:29

Ladylush, that's a really tricky one. If you definitely want to go to the wedding and are unwilling to fly if pg after what you've been through before then I guess you should wait to ttc till after the wedding. Obviously if it's not that important to be there then carry on (partic if it means so much to have a summer/autumn baby), I'm sure your friend would understand if you became pg and obviously a BFP would make you feel better about going. Though it sounds like a fun wedding!!! I completely understand the winter baby thing. I set my heart on a spring baby, then a summer baby, and now as I face perhaps things not being as easy as I'd thought I'm thinking an autumn baby. However it now looks more like winter (if I'm lucky!) I guess it's impossible to time so if you want to go to the wedding, start ttc after and don't worry about it being a winter baby, could take a little longer after all and then you'll get a lovely spring one!
Oh dear I don't think that was any help at all!

Har · 08/10/2007 12:35

Hi Sk - sorry to have abandoned you! And now we're no longer cycle buddys . Oh well, instead we can have fingers crossed for both getting October BFPs (if my cycle hurries up a bit!) Yes I'm hoping it was just one of those non-ovulating cycles too, the reason I worry that it wasn't is because I don't remember getting any EWCM in first cycle (didn't know about it then but on the other hand, reading Bucky's EWCM website I'm not sure I could miss it!) Might start temping instead as read that the ov kits can come up negative if ov (or pre-ov surge or whatever it is it tests!) was short and happened between the time of one test to the next.

ladylush · 08/10/2007 12:41

Har. It's a real dilemma isn't it. I do want to go to the wedding as she is a good friend and I am delighted she has met her lovely bloke, but (and it's a big but) I want a baby more. I was due a week after she is getting married (then lost it) so she was already aware that I wouldn't be coming, then it looked like I might be able to go but now I'm not sure. I don't know if she quite understands why I can't wait til after the wedding (not that she's asked - maybe I'm just paranoid). It's the age gap more than the season that is worrying me as ds is 3 and a half at xmas.

Hope you get your cycle sorted soon. Reflexology is good for this. Worked for me. I have read though that some women who ovulate late get bfps very late. Do you think you could've ovulated late?

spookykitty · 08/10/2007 12:51

ladylush - this is my personal opinion of what I would do, I would carry on ttc regardless, if you get pregnant soon I am sure she will understand and it's not like you are missing her wedding on purpose. I know now from being on here that there are no guarantees in this crazy ttc world so you just have to go for it. I completely understand your concerns about age gaps. I wanted 3 close together so they would be close and into the same things etc. If I were to get pregnant this month DD1 would be 4, DD2 2 1/2 which isn't huge gaps I know but it means that when DD1 goes to school she would have a year old brother or sister and she is going to be into things completely different to them IYSWIM. I hope thats makes a bit of sense.

Har - it was only when I stopped BFing DD2 that I started to notice EWCM and I had managed to have 2 children without ever noticing it. Sometimes I think I would have thought "oh just a bit mroe vaginal discharge today" if you are not actively looking for it you could miss it. Anyway we are all staying one big ttc thread now as the consensus was we all hated being kicked off to another month thread when AF turned up so even though we are not cycle buddies now I'll still be around for a bit (not too long though)

TheMuppetMuggle · 08/10/2007 12:54

LadyLush I love reflexology and will be trying that again soon

ladylush · 08/10/2007 13:00

Sk - was thinking along the same lines. Maybe if I'm not pregant in December we could book at the last minute.

ladylush · 08/10/2007 13:00

muppetmuggle - glad you enjoyed reflexology. It's great isn't it. So relaxing

FoghornLeghorn · 08/10/2007 13:10

Can I ask a quick question please ?

We were TTC with DD1 which took 11 months (I had been on the pill for 3 years prior to this). With DD2 I decided to stop taking the pill mid-cycle and fell pregnant that cycle.
Now TTC DB3, I took my last pill Friday 21st Sept but I started an extremely light bleed on Weds 19th Sept so this is when I have taken my CD from and We have BD'd at least every other night since 1st October.

When should I test ? I have no clue about my cycles as they are usually regulated to 28 days because of the pill. When I stopped taking the pill ttc DD1 some cycles were 30 days yet some where in their 50's.
