Ladies the thread got too big so I have started a new one hope you don't mind, I will cart the list and the tonnes of baby dust over in a minute.......................

OP posts:

I'm on CD20 btw and the bleed lasted longer than the usual 5 days but we extremely light the whole time

ladylush · 08/10/2007 13:14

do you mean you bled 2 days before you stopped the pill? Is that normal? Do you know when you ovulate - do you notice symptoms eg ewcm or ovary pain? If so you can test as early as 8 days after, or to be safe 14 days.

digitalgirl · 08/10/2007 13:17

ladylush I say go for it, at least if you don't get a BFP you've got a fab wedding in Belize to look forward to.

har I eventually got a positive opk on CD21. Took it's time though. I have a feeling I might not have ov'ed the month before tho (as it was a 41 day cycle). I was three days away from my doc's appointment to ask for blood tests to check my hormone levels though. I think it's good to book in and get yourself checked out, feels like you're taking positive steps. Although your cramping could've been the egg hatching!

FoghornLeghorn · 08/10/2007 13:20

No it's not normal Ladyush and totally threw me but the month before that I had ran 2 pill packets back to back as we were on holiday and I didn't want a period when we were away so I put it down to probably being something to do with that.
I have absolutely no idea when I ovulate, have just been BD as much as possible

ladylush · 08/10/2007 13:23

digitalgirl - yes, I think you are right.

Foghornleghorn - maybe taking the pill without a break has messed up your cycle a bit, but doesn't mean you won't get a bfp. Fingers crossed. Sounds like you've been working hard anyway

FoghornLeghorn · 08/10/2007 13:26

I have taken pill packets back to back before when I have had a course of antibiotics etc as recommended by my GP and have never ever had any early bleeding so I don't know why I really put it down to that. Has definitely confused me this time

spookykitty · 08/10/2007 13:29

foghorn - I would do a test about 30 days after your bleed just to be sure either it's BFP or your AF will turn up eventually. I was thinking I haven't been on the Pill for 4 1/2 years now I've either been ttc, pregnant, BFing, pregnant, BFing, ttc, pregnant, mc, ttc ???? thats terrible isn't it? Would be lovely if we were on the same antenatal thread again.

ladylush - go for it cycle buddy I so so hope we are preggie buddies as well (already checked 9th July sure you have too)

SK is in the "I hope everyone gets pregnant this month" mood today. I'm off to search for baby dust on ebay.

ladylush · 08/10/2007 13:30

Could it have been an implantation bleed? The pill is not 100% effective. Have you done an hpt? Just to be sure. It might be an idea too, to know that you are not so that when you do get a bfp you can date it accurately.

ladylush · 08/10/2007 13:32

SK - sorry to pry into your bedroom activities but what is your plan of action this month? I think maybe I get timing wrong. I was going to try from cd9 every other day but maybe it should be earlier.

ladylush · 08/10/2007 13:33

Oh and yes, it would be lovely to be pregnant together. A july baby would be lovely. Ds is June 20th so close together and could re-use clothes

FoghornLeghorn · 08/10/2007 13:33

I did a hpt on 27th Sept which looking back now was totally the wrong time to do it, I think I was just panicking.
God, I'm so confused now. I did think of implataion bleeding which is why I did the test but surely that would've been too soon and wouldn't last over a week which it did.
Think I had implatation bleeding with DD1 and it onl lasted 2 days

FoghornLeghorn · 08/10/2007 13:34

SK, it would be great. I think we had a great antenatal thread back then.

ladylush · 08/10/2007 13:48

This would be a great ante-natal thread

FoghornLeghorn · 08/10/2007 13:49

Of course it would. I didn't really click with the people on my most recent antenatal thread but the people on the July/August 2004 one were great

ladylush · 08/10/2007 13:55

I met two or three nice ones on the due in Jan thread and keep in touch with them now and then. It's sad to think they are due in 3 months (happy for them).

spookykitty · 08/10/2007 14:38

Foghorn - why of course the July/August 2004 thread was fab seems like an age ago I was sitting in an ofice in London debating nursery schemes with you! My January 2006 one was great as well. I was v sad to leave the March 08 one as it was haping up to be a great one as well, as ladylush said it's when you see it in active convos as well.

ladylush - I haven't come up with a "plan" for this month as yet. I am not using opks this month so just looking for the EWCM and lots of BDing. Probably about every one or two days from about CD8 onwards. DP is away a night at the crucial time as well. Last time I got pregnant we BD'ed CD12, 14 and 16. I do believe it becomes a chore if you BD every day (maybe SK is missing something but with 2 toddlers sex drive has nose dived) opks said I ov-ed CD15 so who knows??

Har · 08/10/2007 14:49

Thanks Sk for EWCM pep talk!

Ladylush - it sounds like ttc is definitely your top priority so there's only one way forward! As your friend knows about your mc I am sure she will be absolutely thrilled to have you absent for such a good reason! And thanks very much for reflexology tip, I am going to start googling now to find somewhere .

digital - maybe booking an appointment brings on ov?! Actually it would make sense, feeling like you're doing something makes you relax and relaxing lets your body do what it's meant to do, so they say. And yes, despite no ov signs I of course wondered if the cramps were the missing egg hatching but fear it's just ongoing AF cramps. Anyway, no more hpts in the house so will just have to wait and see (or pick some more up when I go food shopping...)

ladylush · 08/10/2007 15:34

I only have one dc and bding every day just ain't possible while he insists on waking between 2-6 times a night.

ladylush · 08/10/2007 15:37

foghorn - try to find a reflexologist who specialises in conception etc.

sk - action stations for cd8 onwards with a practice beforehand so that dh doesn't feel like a sperm donor

spookykitty · 08/10/2007 16:05

I do tell DP I am just using him and I think he quite likes it he says oh well we both get something out of it!!

He's as keen as I am (well maybe not as keen) to have another he was asking if AF had left last night, I told him another few days, give myself a break before action stations as you put it.

Both of mine sleep through the night now so I'm lucky but I'm usually far too shattered come 8pm and they are in bed.

ladylush · 08/10/2007 16:08

perhaps it adds a bit of spice

spookykitty · 08/10/2007 16:11

spice whats that I've got two toddlers pmsl

ladylush · 08/10/2007 16:14

maybe the spice got you the two toddlers

penguinmum · 08/10/2007 16:15

afternoon ladies, just a quickie

have just survived dd's first morning at pre-school - she was fine, I was a nervous wreck!! I really need another dc to fill the gap now she is growing up and leaving me!

Quick question - has anyone else had really long periods? I am on cd9 and tew is yet to leave me! Periods have been longer and heavier since i had dd (she is 2 and half), but I think this is one of my longest. Am keen to get back to bding!

spookykitty · 08/10/2007 16:15

no they were both midweek quickies once that month (DP away the rest of it) think thats where I'm going wrong too much spice!
