OP posts:
digitalgirl · 07/10/2007 18:18

ooo according to the chart it'll be a girl for me! how exciting. am totally expecting a boy after all this bd'ing we've been doing. don't think the girls will have had a chance (what with doing their hair and make up etc).

TheMuppetMuggle · 07/10/2007 18:21

ooooooooooo BOY for me yay

Meglet · 07/10/2007 19:30

I nearly forgot to see how everyone was getting on! I'd had a minor sulk this weekend about my bfn but am rising above it now. I hope there are a few more BFPs this week! Fingers crossed to everyone who is waiting with baited breath, tests at the ready! x

Spink · 07/10/2007 19:53

I'm very happy to stick around with you lovely lot and not start a Nov thread after all!!
GIRL for us if we manage it next month HURRAHHHHHHH

fairysnuff · 07/10/2007 20:26

Well, we are all TTC in October anyway, just that some of us will test for BFP's in November, so no point starting a new thread until November then.
By which point we will be on our 4th or 5th!!
thread, not tests actually prob both for me!!

Have had some horrid news up our way today. DH's work collegue's DD (15) was killed in a car accident last night
DH works really closely with the guy, so he is really cut up for him. Also DH had met her on a few occasions so she is not just a name that was mentioned but a face and a person.
DH said that she was chatty and a flirt with the boys, it would have been her carefree nature that made her decide to get into a small car so that the passengers totalled 6 (one in the boot!). I imagine, but I don't know, she was on someones lap which is why she was the only fatality (sp?)

A friend of his works with the police and told DH that it was instant for her which I guess is a blessing.

The driver passed his test 2 days ago. He was driving too fast, clipped the kerb and lost control. There is no wreckage though, which seems even more tragic. Just a bad decision.

I just can't imagine how they must feel

07mumstheword · 07/10/2007 20:26

Hello all. I've been away at a wedding this weekend and thought I'd better catch up. I can't believe how much there is to catch up on in just a couple of days

Sorry for your loss LadyLush

Spookykitty I think it's a great idea to all stick together, I'm still finding my way around MN so hopefully you'll guide me as to where to go when there is over 1000 msgs?

There has been so much talk of OPK's I think curiosity will get the better of me and I will also be off to Boots tomorrow. I'll give anything a try.

Emmy - You've been trying for longer than me but I too have managed to get PG twice this year only to lose them. Gets you thinking when it happens twice? I think mine have been chemical pregnancies but nonetheless gutting Let's hope for success soon

07mumstheword · 07/10/2007 20:32

fairysnuff How tragic How does anyone cope with something that bad? My thoughts are with them.

Shazza2002 · 07/10/2007 20:37

fairysnuff - What a tragic waste of life, does make you appreciate what you have. Even when DD is being naughty, I never take for granted how lucky I am to have her.

Good luck for anybody testing tomorrow.

Excitable · 07/10/2007 20:37

TS that chart is fabulous! I love trying to predict the future on the basis of no solid evidence. I'm not taking the piss, I really do! Boy for us if this month, girl if next month. That's good as I'd like a boy and DH would like a girl, even though we'll love whatever we get and we're not admitting that to RL people!

Fairysnuff that's awful! It must be pretty sad in Fairy Towers tonight. I would have done that when I was 15, no question. What awful luck.

I've been for a walk this afternoon. A proper 7 mile walk in the Lake District. (Well, in Cartmel, it's near the Lake District...) I couldn't keep up with DH at all, I was rubbish!! Had a couple of swervy dizzy spells too. But as we can't saying, IT MIGHT NOT MEAN ANYTHING. Nice walk with nice view, though. Just a bit of a shame it took quite a bit longer than normal...

kirstygem · 07/10/2007 20:41

Well my AF arrived today and my stomach is bloody killing me. Always have really sore, heavy AF when not on pill. Can someone put me back at top of list
CD1 Cycle 2 TT2

Shazza2002 · 07/10/2007 20:46

According to chart, Girl this month Boy next month.

I would like a girl as I feel I'm more familiar having a DD already, but then would be nice to have a boy to experience that. I suppose as long as it's healthy and all that. I think that's the great thing when you're TTC #1, people don't expect you to have a preference.

My sister has 2 boys (adorable they are too) but when she had #2 there were so many people that thought she was dissapointed that she didn't have a girl in order to 'balance' things up.

Sorry I'm rambling now

Shazza2002 · 07/10/2007 20:51

kirstgem Sorry to hear about AF arriving, was this your 1st month off pill? Were your cycle days pretty normal ?

Excitable · 07/10/2007 20:51

That's mad, though, isn't it, when people assume your preference without asking you?

I won't be having any of that, I can tell you! I bet your sister doesn't either! I am getting ahead of myself, though, as i don't have any at all.

Shazza2002 · 07/10/2007 20:54

It's surprising how many do.

I am getting myself worked up about it already and I'm not even TTC properly yet or therefore PG, you can tell what type of MNer I'm going to be can't you!!

MissusH · 07/10/2007 20:58

Hi Everybody, first chance I have had to log on this weekend (dh was hogging the laptop..)

Anyway, hope you are all well aboard ship..

After a few months of watching the symptom spotting without having any myself, I now have some - woohoo!!

Okay - as of yesterday my (.)(.) feel like they have been slammed in a door. I have also been soooo tired (in fact I conked out on the sofa this afternoon which is most unusual) Sounds hopeful eh?

AF not due until next Tuesday so the wait goes on...

kirstygem · 07/10/2007 20:59

Yes Shazza was 1st month off pill so not surptised Af turned up. Cycle was 32 days but not sure if that just thismonth. Did have quite bit EWCM in middle of cycle which seems to be a good thing.
What do you mean you are not yet TTC properly?

Shazza2002 · 07/10/2007 21:18

Stopped pill in September, wanted to have a 'normal' cycle before TTC. I know this sounds daft but I know sometimes coming off the pill it can take ages for your first AF to arrive. I didn't want to spend that time getting my hopes up that I was PG.

So basically just waiting for AF to come and go then the real BDing can commence

lockets24 · 07/10/2007 21:24

oh..i feel like i have been away for more than 3 days.. DH and i have just got back from a weekend at Alton Towers..I cant even begin to tell you how much fun we had!!
Anyway there was always going to be something to spoil the wedding anniversary..AF came on friday so i guess as of today (sun) i am CD3.

hope everyone is ok, i am so tired i am heading to bed now!!

Baby dust to you all

x

spookykitty · 07/10/2007 21:48

wow loads of messages

just did the Chinese Gender Chart

DD1 - BOY so got it wrong
DD2 - GIRL correct
DB3 (MC) - GIRL

IF I get pregnant this month BOY

07MTW - all we have to do is once this thread gets to 1000 messages someone creates a new generic TTC one in the conception topic and we all migrate over there bringing the bags of babydust with us

lockets - sorry about AF arriving but glad you had a great time at Alton Towers, am I right in thinking you could also still get an October BFP?

Shazza - hope AF hurries up for you x

Kirstygem - sorry about your AF turning up too x

MissusH - keeping everything crossed for you for next Tuesday

fairysnuff - thats horrid news her poor family

Excitable - 7 mile walk wow you must be fit (SK is v unfit and drives everywhere as it's easier than walking with a buggy and a strong willed 3 yo)

Spink - course you can stick around

Meglet - nevermind minor sulk major sulk is allowed when you get a BFN, you must also eat chocolate and drink wine!

Bucky and Pigleychez - heres hoping it's a lucky batch of CBDs for you two x

Emmsy - nice to have you back, your poor DS hope he is on the mend now

I think I will go and update the list makes it easier on whoever does it tomorrow

07mumstheword · 07/10/2007 21:50

Just been having a chat with DH to discover that last week when he went to the doctors for a heart check he asked her about my chances of being PG. I had 3 x positive tests (tested day AF due) then AF turned up 3 days later. I accept it may have been a chemical pregnancy but surely 3 positives can't have been wrong? Doctor responded that she hadn't been asked this before so doesn't really know and would need to do some more research but says as my hormones would have been all over the place the results were probably inaccurate. Why would they sell tests that you can use 4 days early if they are that inaccurate?

I'm cross that he did this last Tuesday and hasn't mentioned it until now and that he believes a doctor who seemed to have very little knowledge on the subject and has given him more reason to believe that I am truly nuts! - well maybe I am!!

I'm due to see my doctor a wk thurs so will go armed with my facts and figures (what do they know about my cycle!!) and see what she says.

Feel better now. Thanks for listening and any comments to defend me, my husband or even the Doctor would be gratefully received.

MTW I'm not sure how you could have 3 faulty positive tests, the odds of that happening are very slim - what did the Dr mean your 'hormones would have been all over the place [so] the results were probably inaccurate'?? How would she know if she's not even met you!?

I think that your DH was very kind for asking as he's obviously caring enough to worry but I think the Dr was wrong in giving a response as she knows nothing about you. The more I think about it, the more it sounds like it may have been a chemical pregnancy. Hopefully when you see your own Dr armed with all your own details, they'll make a much more thorough diagnosis.

Not sure if that helps you any!!!

debinaustria · 08/10/2007 06:28

Morning ladies, just thought I'd pop in with your Monday's Baby dust , here goes.....

Fingers crossed for some BFP's soon, lots of EWCM, and well timed BDing

Deb

GardenAngel4 · 08/10/2007 09:12

Morning ladies, just been reading through Sunday. Wish I'd come on now(to MN i mean). Felt really low yesterday evening and very weepy.Don't know if that's hormones, separation anxiety, or just low self esteem....but feeling better after a good sleep.

Hi digitalgirl DH back in 2 weeks
deb am impressed with your early start!!
muppet how's the fertility monitor going or is it not in use yet? Has it even arrived?? Another 48 strike today. Not good.
