Ladies the thread got too big so I have started a new one hope you don't mind, I will cart the list and the tonnes of baby dust over in a minute.......................

OP posts:
ladylush · 06/10/2007 09:52

Fab joke chez

fairysnuff · 06/10/2007 10:02

oh, yeah! you won the monitor then muppet? I imagine it will make You feel much more confident about it all.
I get so upset when I see those negatives on my opk's, even though my body is totally doing all the things it ought to.
It keeps my feet on the ground a bit though, if they are negative then maybe no eggs therefore not BFP. I always try to prepare for the worst so that if the best happens its even better!! (whilst serectly believing the best!!)

kirsty I know what you mean, I am watching these babies, younger than DD taking steps (quite a few too) at toddler groups and there is my DD still on all fours, with a big grin on her face though!!
I know she can do it but she has, somehow, lost her confidence. I am trying not to push her or feel frustrated but it sneaks in there
Not too many have asked but I can at least say she hasdone it, but stopped. Most aren't really that interested anyway, so they only hear the beginning bit

No BDing for me last night DH was too tired. Hope he has strong guys who lasted from the day before, or I coudl grab him today and get a fast one.
Swimmer I mean,...or do I?

Shazza2002 · 06/10/2007 12:26

Excitable - It's fine being where I am, just don't want to dissapoint as I know it will be a BFN. Although funnier things have happened, with DD1, DP swears I jumped on him in the middle of the night and he had nothing to do with it

hello all loads of messages to catch up on, AF here with a vengence, very heavy yuck yuck yuck!

shazza - hello and welcome to mumsnet it's v addictive though so be warned

muppet - hya how are you today? did you win the fertility monitor?

ladylush - hello cycle buddy how are you?

fairysnuff - good news about your DD taking milk from you again. Don't worry about your DD soon she will be running away from you and you will be wishing she couldn't just for 5 minutes.

kirstygem - hope AF turns up soon it's horrible getting a BFN then waiting for her to turn up the EW that she is.

hello to everyone else hope you are having a good Saturday whatever you are doing (loads of baby making I hope)

I'm sticking around on here as I CAN get a BFP on Halloween as thats when next AF is due and I mean it this time no testing until the 31st!

Personally I think we should just have one ttc thread not a month by month one (which confuses me anyway) then everyone ttc is altogether and when AF comes you go back to the top not to a new month which is very depressing. Just my thoughts.....

TheMuppetMuggle · 06/10/2007 14:25

SK Hugs AF has left me today i believe and thank christ for that was doing my head in!!!

FS Good to hear DD is taking milk from you, and you'll be wishing she was sitting still soon as she starts running away lol

Fertility Monitor yes, although with postal strike not sure when i'll receive it

Having a good saturday so far xx

mamalex · 06/10/2007 14:52

Hello everyone, it's CD13 for me, all the ov signs but sooo tired in the last two days that I nearly crashed on the couch.DP is out with DS, so we'll catch up tonight. I'll have a large espresso though

mamalex · 06/10/2007 14:59

Just read the news,Deb: congratulaaaations! where about in Austria are you? I live in northern Italy.

Excitable · 06/10/2007 17:20

I agree with SK - it's such a nice bunch of lovely ladies here, I don't want to see anyone disappear to another thread. And it's hard enough when Aunt Flo comes without being sent to the naughty corner another thread.

Let's stick together and make sure we give each other support, after all it's why we're all here!

I'm sooooo sleepy it just never seems to end. I'm now finding it difficult to string sentences together. Although I did spend an obscene amount of money today on a winter coat and some boots (both of which I needed, honest) which picked me up for a little while...

Hope everyone is having lovely Saturdays. DH is now making soup for my tea. I helped by chopping some onions for which he THANKED me. I'm usually the cook, but it's nice to be thanked all the same. He is trying to look after me, bless him. I wonder how good he'll be when I'm a PG-hormone crazed fiend shouting at him and being generally unreasonable. Oh yes, I'm like that before every AF, so I guess it'll be all right...

Sorry, rambling, so tired...

TheMuppetMuggle · 06/10/2007 17:24

Excitable i also agree with SK about one thread we are all here for the same thing, and we cheer each other up when down, and have handy advice & tips on many things

Nice of your DH to be looking after you honey, enjoy it whilst it lasts lol.

Mamalex welcome to the madhouse thread

debinaustria · 06/10/2007 17:26

Exciteable - sounds good that you're so tired

Mamalex - I'm about 1 hour south of Salzburg - a small ski village called Muehlbach am Hochkoenig. We holidayed near the Italian border in May - Faaker See in Kaernten.

Deb

TheMuppetMuggle · 06/10/2007 17:29

Deb - do you like living in Austria?? my Nan used to holiday there alot when my grandad was alive, said was beautiful country

PicknMix · 06/10/2007 18:27

SK - must be the day for it cos my DH is busy making soup for me too! I've been a complete cow today and have been in the worst mood ever for no apparent reason. Why my DH still loves me enough to cook for me is anybody's guess!!! Sorry to hear about nasty yuck af.

Am in agreement that the thread should be more generic so we don't have to move when evil af catches us up and throws us off the list...

Hope everyone else is doing ok x

Excitable · 06/10/2007 19:32

Sorry to hear you've had a tricky day, PicknMix

Do you think it's AF coming or pg symptoms? What's your opinion?

ladylush · 06/10/2007 20:12

I have been getting really moody pre period lately. I read recently that PMT gets worse with age. Great! Our dh's deserve a medal at times. Sweet of him to make you soup. Dh can just about boil an egg! Just need him to fertilise one of mine

Sweetkitty - hi back cycle buddy Your idea is good re. not joining another thread. I get confused when there are loadsa new ladies to contend with!

It's been a busy week and I think it's taking it's toll. Sore throat and achy limbs. My granny and grandad died this week (Granny on Monday and Grandad on Wednesday - day of her funeral). Had to go to Dublin at short notice for the funeral on Wednesday and think I caught something on the plane. Has anyone else noticed that they are more likely to get ill just before their period?

debinaustria · 06/10/2007 20:12

Muppet, I love living here but I do miss my friends and the support network I had in the UK, I think I'm going to be relying on MN a lot

Deb

debinaustria · 06/10/2007 20:14

Oh Ladylush - what a week for you and you family to lose them both at the same time, how's your Mum/Dad ?

Deb

ladylush · 06/10/2007 20:17

It was sad but my dad has taken it well so far. He cried when my brother and I hugged him. Maybe it hasn't sunk in yet. They were ill for a long time. He had cancer and she had various problems including a hole in her bowel which couldn't be operated on. She died of kidney failure in the end.

PicknMix · 06/10/2007 21:14

Oh gosh ladylush what an awful week for you. I wish you and your family strength at such a stressful time. Its sounds like you're just very run down and thats why you've caught a bug?

Excitable - no idea why I'm in such a bad mood. Tis only cd21 for me (bout 5dpo) so shouldn't really be anything hormonal at this stage (my cycles are quite irregular but usually quite long). Am gonna go to bed and sleep it off!!

ladylush · 06/10/2007 21:24

What soup was it? Had some lovely veg soup the other day. I never make it myself but I think I would like to have a go.

I am run down but I've noticed it always happens just before I get my period (without fail) so my immunity is dipping at this time. With each of my m/c I also had acute sinusitis from the beginning of the pregnancy so I can't help but feel that something is happening around this time in my cycle. I mentioned it to the obs consultant when I went to the recurrent m/c clinic but he just looked at me as if I was on a different planet.

GardenAngel4 · 06/10/2007 21:37

ladylush so sorry to hear about your tough week. You so often hear of couples that have been together years going swiftly after one another..it's like they don't want to be apart. Hope you are feeling better.

Well I was feeling all down and lonely because am home alone without DH who is other side of world, but that's just put it all into perspective.

Hope you ladies all had fantastic weather today. Me who is always cold was in short sleeves with no coat today!

For all you symptom spotters....prior to finding out about DD I had extreme symptoms! I had the most unbelievably powerful wind - to the point where I cleared a whole aisle in Tesco and a fair part of a department in Debenhams! I also had flu symptoms and the worst period pain ever. DH was convinced he had what I had and took a day off work!

Fingers crossed for you list huggers at the bottom

fairysnuff · 06/10/2007 21:52

It pos has more to do with the plane than anything else ladylush. They are hot beds for flu and the like cos of being a presurised (sp?)container or somat.
So sorry for both your losses, what a blow

My grandad, I was told today, has decided not to come up for New Year this year because he feels it is all too much for him
He is 90 and beginning to feel his age.
My other grandad has ended up in hospital this week but he is an old battle axe, I am more worried for the nurses than him

9pm before DH got home tonight
I am so worried we missed our window because we did not BD last night. EWCM has left completely and I haven't the heart for any cervical pursuits.
Feel a bit but that it is a bit unreasonable of me so trying to be cheery for DH.
Also, DD wasn't really interested in BF again tonight, so that prob has more to do with my glum mood.

pigleychez · 06/10/2007 21:54

Just updating the list as TEW turned up for me this morning.. bang on my 26 days!
Not really a suprise as I knew it was coming..So no baby born on my wedding anniversay for me

Sorry to hear about your loses Ladylush

Great joke Chez, I'm sorry TEW turned up. I used Clearblue Digital opks, only because I didn't want the stress of trying to work out the strength of the lines - you get a smiley face if you get the LH surge or a blank face if it's negative. I had to use two packs this cycle because my cycles are so irregular that I started too early. But with your 26 days, you're bound to catch it with one pack.
ladylush sorry to hear about your grandparents . Hope you feel better soon.
gardenangel when's your DH back?
picknmix Have you ov'ed yet? I got into a really bad mood with DH this cycle and last cycle just a few days before I ovulated. Thankfully this cycle we worked it out before the egg hatched so were able to BD.
muppetmuggle hooray for seeing AF off!
SK I agree, lets keep this a thread for everyone - even if BFPs won't be turning up till Nov, us ladies will still be ttc in Oct!
shazza welcome!

only 7 days to go till I test

Excitable · 06/10/2007 23:23

Ladylush I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts will be with you and your family this week. Even when it's not a surprise, it still hurts. Hope you feel better soon. Colds are rubbish.
BTW it was onion soup. Soup is really REALLY easy. If you can cook a fry up, you can make soup with your eyes shut! For vegetable soup, just chop up loads of vegetables, cover them with stock and add a tin of tomatoes and you're pretty much there. Just simmer it quite slowly until everything is cooked and you're pretty much there. You can blend it if you want to and it'll look like you bought it in a tin, or you can leave it as it is, it'll taste pretty much the same. Anyway, that's enough about soup...

Fairysnuff don't forget that the little swimmers can last for up to three days, so if you BD'd even before you ovulated, you could have been successful.

Chez to hear about AF, but I'm sure you are ovulating, I think it's just AF making you sad.

Still no sign of AF, and my mojo, which should have left me by this stage in my cycle, is still very much with us
