Bucky2007 · 05/10/2007 11:59

Sorry to hear that TEW is at it again for Spink and Meglet. Why does she keep turning up uninvited? If she had any manners she would wait nine months and come back when she was wanted.

Well I did the deed again last night (BD that is) and i think the EWCM has now gone. But apparently as I am older it doesn't hang around long anymore . CD11 could still be early though for the egg to be hatching so will work out my BDing programme and inform DP. That's what happens when you get two Project Manager's in one household, everything gets programmed and costed and measured for quality to ensure objectives are achieved. Although this time our programme is a bit out the window as in cycle 5!

I hope you are all having such a nice sunny day as we are having here in London.

emmy6781 · 05/10/2007 14:12

Hello Ladies,
So sorry to hear AF is doing the rounds again. No such luck for me tho, no idea where I am in the whole cycle thing anyway hope you are all enjoying the beautiful sunshine.

07mumstheword · 05/10/2007 14:30

Hi all. I'm amazed at how well you all know your cycles. I've got a pack of Ovulation Test things so I'm going to use them this month

My DH doesn't really want to know when to BD. When he ought to be he gets rather exhausted for about a week

I find it a bit difficult because he says it'll happen. Having had two chemical pregnancies I know that but when will it stick! He also gets cross with me testing early (only 1-2 days) and says I should wait two weeks! Yes two weeks, as if I could possibly draw it out that long, two weeks is time to be checking the ovulation again!!

Shazza2002 · 05/10/2007 14:30

First time ever posting , but I have being reading this thread and previous TTC October thread for days and it's a relief to know that there's kind of help there for the next few months/years that my life is going to be turned upside down by TTC. In a good way of course, at least there's something to look forward to at the end of it all (hopefully)

My story is, have DD age 4 and have now decided it's the right time to try for no 2.

Stopped pill Sept, wanted to have one 'normal' cycle to try and work out what my body's doing before really trying. So now just waiting for AF to arrive so I can start counting from CD1.

So will probably be in the TTC November BFP thread but feel more familiar with all you on this thread so just wanted to say HI. You all sound like great woman.

PennyBenjamin · 05/10/2007 14:36

Hi Shazza and welcome. I know what you mean - familiar names to whom you can pour out things you wouldn't tell anyone else!

Thanks Shreksmissus - don't worry about getting my hopes up. I have read enough stories of crazy conceptions to keep a little candle of hope in the back of my mind, but until I get another BFP I'm just carrying on as normal. Have decided I'm going to do one last test tomorrow morning, and if that's BFN then I'll just get on with this month's TTC.

Excitable · 05/10/2007 14:36

Hi Shazza

You're right, we are all great woman. And the law of AF says that some of us will be in the November thread too, so you'll deffo be in good company.

Welcome and baby dust to you * * * * * *

kirstygem · 05/10/2007 14:40

Welcome Shazza, you in similar position to be stopped pill last month and waiting to see what cycle will be like. I on CD31 and just waiting for AF so can start for real this month.

Shazza2002 · 05/10/2007 14:53

Thank you all.

Well I'm on CD17 but who's counting

Been on the pill for so long now so who know's when AF will turn up.

To all of you TTC, especially the ones who have been for months, I am amazed at how well you cope with the dissapointment. I haven't even started TTC and I'm like a complete bull getting impatiant waiting for AF to arrive. I suppose I will have to get use to it and I know being on MN is really going to help.

I think I have OV this week which would be CD13-CD16 so that is all seeming pretty normal , so hopefully AF will turn up in a a couple of weeks and I can start enjoyng this craze that is BDing!!

Excitable · 05/10/2007 15:44

I was on the pill for years and years too - about 16 years and my first cycle was normal in length, so although you can expect anything, you can also expect just the same.

I also know people who have conceived in the first month after coming off the pill, the doctors only advise against it becasue it makes the due date tricky to calculate.

Doctors - pah! We are not here to make their sums easier!

I'm adding you to the ttc list - it's much more fun that way and (ssh! don't tell anyone!) but you can use it to see which cycle day you're on and pretend that you know your cycle inside out when really you're looking it up on our handy list...

I have all my CD's marked on a spreadsheet (sad, deluded, organised, bored, mental) not sure which catogory, my DP would say all of them.

Kind of feel like I'm gatecrashing as I'm not actually TTC this month, but good to get to know who will be my cycle buddies, although hope none of you will be of course hopefully you would all have graduated

Of course, Shazza, I am called Excitable for a reason and if you'd rather move yourself to CD waiting at the top of the list, go ahead, I won't be upset.

TwilightSurfer · 05/10/2007 19:18

Shazza2002 I too gathered all my AF dates and logged them in a spreadsheet (2 years worth) then started marking BDing (9 months worth). Geeky, yes. Theraputic, MAJORLY. Baby making is a game of chance. There's no harm in studing the "trends" so you place you bets properly.

Excitable I used the pill to kick start my eggs. Sometimes I think your body falls into a lull so you have [shock} shock it.

07mumstheword STOP TALKING TO DH about BDing. You keep working on all the BD details though. Remember he's a guy and most don't like "girly" details...makes them nausas. Just use MN to unload, ask questions and bond. Use him for...well you know. He'll enjoy the process a whole lot better. I know mine did.

Fairysnuff Don't worry about "watering" down the seed. So many websites and doctors vary in their response as to how much is enough. EWCM means you're primed so do it. Tummy grumble means you're hatching so do it. Then sit back and wait for the BFP in 16 days. I say 16 because you really need 16DPO to get a nice bold positive.

pigleychez · 05/10/2007 20:22

HI everyone,

Very nearly due AF. Convinced that TEW is going to tun up and out me on the Nov list.

A friend sent me this Joke today and I thought id share it with you. Made me chuckle which is always a good way to start the weekend.

The Smiths were unable to conceive children and decided to use a surrogate father to start their family. On the day the proxy father was to arrive, Mr. Smith kissed his wife good-bye and said, "Well, I'm off now. The man should be here soon."

Half an hour later, just by chance, a door-to-door baby photographer happened to ring the doorbell, hoping to make a sale.

"Good morning, Ma'am," he said, "I've come to...''

"Oh, no need to explain," Mrs Smith cut in, embarrassed, "I've been expecting you."

"Have you really?" said the photographer. "Well, that's good. Did you know babies are my specialty?"

"Well that's what my husband and I had hoped. Please come in and have a seat "

After a moment she asked, blushing, "Well, where do we start?"

"Leave everything to me. I usually try two in the bathtub, one on the couch, and perhaps a couple on the bed. And sometimes the living room floor is fun. You can really spread out there."

"Bathtub, living room floor? No wonder it didn't work out for Harry and me!"

"Well, Ma'am, none of us can guarantee a good one every time. But if we try several different positions and I shoot from six or seven angles, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results."

"My, that's a lot!" gasped Mrs Smith.

"Ma'am, in my line of work a man has to take his time. I'd love to be in and out in five minutes, but I'm sure you'd be disappointed with that."

"Don't I know it," said Mrs Smith quietly.

The photographer opened his briefcase and pulled out a portfolio of his baby pictures.

"This was done on the top of a bus," he said.

" Oh my God!" Mrs Smith exclaimed, grasping at her throat.

"And these twins turned out exceptionally well when you consider their mother was so difficult to work with."

"She was difficult?" asked Mrs Smith.

"Yes, I'm afraid so. I finally had to take her to the park to get the job done right. People were crowding around four and five deep to get a good look."

"Four and five deep?" said Mrs Smith, her eyes wide with amazement.

"Yes," the photographer replied. "And for more than three hours, too. The mother was constantly squealing and yelling - I could hardly concentrate, and when darkness approached I had to rush my shots. Finally, when the squirrels began nibbling on my equipment, I just had to pack it all in."

Mrs Smith leaned forward. "Do you mean they actually chewed on your um.....equipment?"

"It's true, Ma'am, yes. Well, if you're ready, I'll set-up my tripod and we can get to work right away."

"Tripod?"

" Oh yes, Ma'am. I need to use a tripod to rest my Canon on. It's much too big to be held in the hand very long."

With that, Mrs. Smith fainted.

fairysnuff · 05/10/2007 20:39

Brilliant LOL chez!!

Cheers TS trouble is DH is working late tonight, reckons it will be after 11 before he is home. He will not want to be BDing tonight
oh well, just have to hope some of those boys held out from yesterday.
I am not too bothered really, either way. But, you know where I am coming from? It would be nice to have one of each but really all I want is a nice bouncing baby.
DH is convinced we are going to have 2 girls though who knows

On a down side to my excitment over crazy EWCM, I did an OP test today and it was negative.
Took my wee about 2ish but didn't test until 6ish. It said to let it rest for half an hour or so, I just forgot about it.
Why are they always negative?? Can you get EWCM without any eggs? but I had a sore tummy this morning too???

kirstygem · 05/10/2007 20:49

Very funny Chez!!

What age is your DD1 Fairysnuff?

Are people planning to stay on this thread or move to a BFP in Nov thread??? I feel like kind of know the people on here and want to know how it works out for everyone each month. So much I can say on here that cant say in RL not even to DH.

fairysnuff · 05/10/2007 21:06

my DD has just turned 1 kirsty
Not that I mind in the slightest, but why do you ask?

kirstygem · 05/10/2007 21:34

Sorry fairysnuff just interested as I also have DD1 and TTC child number 2. My DD is 16 months

fairysnuff · 05/10/2007 23:08

Not too much between them then, she must be walking well?
DD took a few steps just before her birthday, but now won't stand up to try. She spends ages standing alone, near surfaces, but flops to her bum when I try to encourage her to walk.

ooh, but she took well from the boob tonight!
Does anyone remember that she was rejecting me for a few days there. I really thought it was the end for us but she was happy to drink tonight.

fairysnuff · 05/10/2007 23:11

Was just about to get all excited for you kirsty cos I saw you were CD31, but then read back that you will try for real next month.
Do you think you could be already?
Stranger things have happened

debinaustria · 06/10/2007 06:46

Pigleychez - love the joke

Hope everyone else is OK - anyone testing today?

Deb

kirstygem · 06/10/2007 09:23

Fairy DD was very slow to get walking she only really just doing it this last few weeks. Was getting really fedup of everone asking Is she not walking yet?
Did a test on CD30 and got BFN but still no AF afppeared so still a chance I suppose. Stranger things can happne only took us 1 month trying with DD1

TheMuppetMuggle · 06/10/2007 09:29

Chez Love the Joke

Things are okay here, AF has made her exit i think so lots of BDing now, and will be even better once my monitor arrives
