I have just spent a good hour reading through the chat (and the previous thread) and as awful as it sounds, I feel relieved that I'm not alone. Everyone around me is pregnant at the moment and I find it so hard to put on a smile and pretend everything is OK. We haven't told anyone that we are trying as we don't want everyone to keep asking. Hopefully it happens for us soon and I really hope it happens for all you ladies too.

Thanks for creating this thread. I'm new to mumsnet and this is my first post. Hope you don't mind me joining in.

Hey everyone! Had a crazy busy weekend. Hope you are all good. @stabal I love your kitty!!! I have 2 cats and I just love them so much.

I'm on CD11 and me and OH spent yesterday apart but aim to DTD tonight as doing SMEP this month. Im sooooo tired though so I need to find some energy from somewhere lol.

Hi @RebeccaS2 and welcome to the group. I know how you feel with there being lots of pregnancy announcements I've had about 8 happen this month. Everyone was busy at it during lockdown. It can get draining even though you are happy for people.

@CAG14 this is our 3rd kitty now. We brought her to ours for a couple of nights to see how she got on and well.. She's not left and my OH had the feliway diffusers ordered by the end of the first night 😂 we are definitely crazy. Just imagining bringing a baby into the mix.. The cats have their own bedroom 🤦‍♀️

Jadeb1995 · 02/08/2020 19:03

Evening all, hope you've all had lovely weekends! I had a few wines last night with my best friend and ended up confessing about my chemical pregnancy in June and it felt soooo amazing to get it off my chest and talk about it.
I'm 2 DPO today, not sure whether this is our month and don't know if we DTD enough, was meant to be doing SMEP but only did the first 2 days of the 3 in a row. Hopefully it's enough!
Anyone had any symptoms or POAS?

Stabal · 02/08/2020 19:05

@LT103 it could just be because you had some alcohol. Maybe it will be back up tomorrow!

@RebeccaS2 welcome! It's really nice to have found people in the same position, I've felt so alone for ages

CAG14 · 02/08/2020 19:06

@Stabal awww cats are amazing though arent they? I think that about bringing a baby into the mix haha!

@Jadeb1995 aww it is nice to be able to open up to friends. It seems such a lonely journey otherwise. I have a few that know but not many. Sounds like you gave SMEP a good go. Fingers crossed!!!

Stabal · 02/08/2020 19:07

@Jadeb1995 aww I'm so glad you feel good for getting it out. I actually posted about my loss on Instagram and it felt so good. It even opened opportunity for people I know to message me their experiences when I had no idea they've been through it too

Stabal · 02/08/2020 19:10

@CAG14 here they all are gathered in the hall together for the first time without any hissing. They've been so funny to watch getting to grips with each other lol

Jadeb1995 · 02/08/2020 19:27

That's so brave if you @Stabal !

It's definitely better to have people to talk to rather than holding it in :-)

Stabal · 02/08/2020 19:37

@Jadeb1995 I had an overwhelming need to get it out. My experience was so traumatic and I wanted people to know it's not just "the baby is dead and that's it all over". My supervisor just assumed I'd be in work the next day even though I was still vomiting and bleeding heavy 🙄

Jadeb1995 · 02/08/2020 19:39

That's amazing that you did that @Stabal!

Oh my god I can't believe your supervisor!!

butterfly5291 · 02/08/2020 22:27

@Stabal your supervisor sounds terrible! Guessing it's a man?

How often do you all poas? Do I test every day? Or just wait till AF turns up if I've already had negative tests?

LT103 · 02/08/2020 22:29

@stabal that’s such a brave thing to do. I think it is such a taboo subject for some reason.
A couple I know had a baby born early who only lived 10 days and they love to talk about him. It helps them and they don’t want to just keep quiet and forget about him.

It’s not a healthy thing to keep these things to ourselves but society seems to have a made it that way. It’s such a brave thing you’ve done being able to speak out and like you said, there will be so many others who have been in the same boat. Hopefully it helps you and them!

Faith82 · 02/08/2020 23:04

Aww @Stabal your cats are adorable! We have one, he’s a year and a half and the love of our lives we adore him. I’d love another one but so worried bout whether they would fight. If I never have kids I’m getting more cats!!

@Jadeb1995 I feel similar to you, we did smep this month for the first time, we managed to dtd day 8, 10, 12 & 13. But missed day 14 as hubby wasn’t feeling too well. (I disregard day 16 coz it’s 2 days after ovulation and most research says it’s too late) So we missed that 3rd day in a row too. I was a bit gutted, but I got my positive opks on day 12 so our timing was still spot on. I’m 8 dpo and really don’t think it’s happened this month. I did everything, pineapple, pomegranate juice, Brazil nuts and smep and vitamins meditations etc but I just don’t think it’s happened.
No symptoms except on Fri night I was lying in bed and started having this stabbing prodding pain below my belly button to the left hand side low down. It was so strong that I couldn’t sleep, I started thinking maybe it’s implantation. Then yesterday we went out for the day and in the morning I could feel the same pain in the car the whole journey. But it went away after that, I felt really ropey last night, nauseous, hot and light headed but I really felt it was just travel sickness. No symptoms today.

Due af on Saturday so time will tell but I just feel disappointment already.

Welcome @RebeccaS2! I have told my mum, two of my sisters and 2 of my best friends that we’re trying but I don’t say much to them about it and they don’t ask much so I forget they even know!

Can I ask a couple of tmi questions?! Do you all mainly dtd the night? We do but I read that sperm are more active during the day? Also, in terms of positions are any of you really regimented with how you dtd?! I also read that 2 particular positions are best but as I’m trying not to put too much pressure on my OH, I don’t wana become too controlling over that aspect. but let’s just say I just don’t think his preferred position works well with gravity!! 🙈😂

Stabal · 02/08/2020 23:52

@butterfly5291 nope, a woman! She's quite the character! I test every 48 hours until AF shows

@LT103 thank you! You're so right, it definitely is seen as a taboo subject. Something you think you have to stay silent about and never mention it for fear of anyone feeling awkward!

@Faith82 our oldest is the tortie (8) and when we got the ginger (6) she just became submissive and he became the king of the house which suited her fine as she's timid anyway. The ginger is being a little shit because he thinks he is absolutely amazing and has been hissing and growling at the kitten 😂 but, touch wood, no hissing since yesterday and they've been tentatively playing today! As for your questions, we DTD around our work. OH works shifts whereas my work is the same hours every day. I work 4 mornings a week and 5 afternoons so if he's doing a night shift we'll DTD in the morning if I'm off too and if he's on a morning shift then we DTD at night. I'm like you and really don't want to get regimented about the whole thing. I have read that positions don't really matter but I guess it just feels impossible that anything could be going anywhere it needs to be in some positions 😂

butterfly5291 · 03/08/2020 08:12

@Stabal you are kidding! That's even worse! Hope she's a lot more understanding when you are pregnant!
I tested again this morning, my temp has jumped again. I have no reason to believe I might be pregnant other than my temp chart. I really feel for all you ladies who have gone through this for months!

LT103 · 03/08/2020 10:25

Well it’s cd1 for me here. I knew af was on the way. Onwards and upwards as they say!!

Got d21 progesterone back which was 25 so assume everything is ok that way. Just need to keep trying!!!

Nellyk84 · 03/08/2020 10:47

@LT103 Haha, I'm CD1 too.....that relative, AF, we all hate reared her ugly head this morning!! Seems like our judgement was totally on this weekend in having a couple of drinkeypoos x

Stabal · 03/08/2020 10:58

@LT103 that's a good number, I'm so glad everything seems okay that way! Onwards and upwards, new cycle for us all!

LT103 · 03/08/2020 11:10

@Nellyk84 yeah I’m actually glad cos I ended up having a few drinks yesterday haha. Anyway new cycle. Anyone doing anything different this time? I was thinking of trying the natural things like grapefruit/pomegranate juice, pineapple, Brazil nuts etc. it’s all things I could fit in easily enough

butterfly5291 · 03/08/2020 12:09

More advice needed please...
The head of MRI unit has just called me to say they won't scan until I have had a period... I don't know when that could be as I only had coil out on 4th July

My IC pregnancy tests are negative and I'm 13 dpo. Do blood tests show HCG levels more accurately at early stage or am I just going to have to wait?

Stabal · 03/08/2020 14:04

@butterfly5291 blood tests will yeah but most doctors won't do them these days unless there's an absolute need like recurrent loss to check the progression so I think you'll probably have to wait it out unfortunately! I'm fairly certain you ovulated though so if you're not pregnant I would expect AF to be here in the next couple of days

@LT103 I've totally elimated agnus castus and myo-inositol as I think that's what caused my spotting. I've added omega 3 as apparently it helps with the coq10 absorption as well as being generally good for fertility anyway so will see how this cycle goes

AF is being a real bitch today. I just want to crawl into bed and sleep.

butterfly5291 · 03/08/2020 15:18

@Stabal yeah the Dr just called me back to say they won't test unless the MRI was urgent.
My concern is that I'm not pregnant but I don't get AF because my body is still adjusting to coil removal.

butterfly5291 · 03/08/2020 15:19

@Stabal sorry you're feeling so rubbish. Hopefully your afternoon goes quickly xx

beckyBP · 03/08/2020 15:21

Hey ladies, this is the first time I'm taking an ovulation test and I don't get it 😩 on Femometer this is coming up as LH 0%. Any advice?
