@butterfly5291 you should bleed since you ovulated, of course it is possible to ovulate and not bleed but quite unlikely so I will keep everything crossed you will have a normal cycle! I can't believe I forget every month how horrendous my period is haha like it always comes as a shock 🙄 just been to the shop and bought pancakes and ice cream for dinner

Mia1985x · 03/08/2020 15:50

Hey everyone,

Just caught up on the past couple of days messages as had a hectic few days at work. Sorry about AF coming @LT103 @Nellyk84 and @Stabal

Like a few others said how brave of you to post about your experience @Stabal definitely agree that it needs to be spoke about more, seems such a taboo subject for a lot of people. Cannot believe your supervisor though, some people will never cease to amaze me. And omg your kitty is so adorable!

@Jadeb1995 that's great you feel better for confiding in your best friend 🥰

@Faith82 I read the same thing about sperm being more active in the morning than at night so tried to DTD in the morning as much as possible. Not sure how much it any a difference it will make but worth a shot as we have pretty much being DTD at night since starting TTC 17 months ago. I also had a chuckle at your comment about certain positions, I know exactly what you mean 🤣 again I don't imagine they will have much of an impact but especially around the days of ovulation I tend to encourage my oh that we stick to gravity friendly positions and I also look like a mad woman lying with my legs propped up for about 10 minutes after 🤣 (i tried to word this as best I could)

@RebeccaS2 welcome to the group 😊

@beckyBP that OPK does look really faint and alot of the time femometer will read ones as low as that as 0. Even though you can clearly see some kind of line. I would just take it as it's very very low. I've attached a screen shot of my OPKs logged on femometer for this month and you will see how dark they need to get for a high/peak reading. Hopefully that helps.

Currently CD20 for me and 7DPO. Still munching away on my 🍍 Got my bloods tomorrow 😬

@LT103 I see you said your d21 progesterone came back as 25. How long did it take for you to get the results? And seeing as this seems normal did they advise of any next steps for you? I'm a bit clueless when it comes to what to expect and what levels are considered good etc. @Stabal has been a fountain of knowledge for me on this side of things so thanks again.

beckyBP · 03/08/2020 16:48

That's so helpful! Thanks @Mia1985x I find OPKs so overwhelming 😅

Faith82 · 03/08/2020 17:22

@Mia1985x thanks I know and it’s crazy how much we overanalyse things, even gravity! 🙈😂

There is an amazing video showing conception on YouTube and out of the original 200-500 million sperm that enter, only a couple of dozen make it to the egg. It really is a miracle, when it finally happens!! 😩😂

LT103 · 03/08/2020 17:39

@Mia1985x I had my bloods taken last wed. Think they came back on Friday but I forgot to call so not long at all. They just said bloods all fine and told me the levels when I asked. No next step for me yet. This is only cycle 4 of ttc. I asked for progesterone to be checked because I was having a lot of Spotting the week before af. I’m 38 tho so if nothing in next couple of months I’ll call them back

CAG14 · 03/08/2020 22:45

@Nellyk84 @LT103 sorry about AF. What a bitch she is!!!

@stabal thanks for sharing your kitty pics!! My 2 are brothers and 6 year old and are gingers!!

@Faith82 your comment about positions made me laugh too haha! I know what you mean and we have been doing mainly the same gravity friendly ones too. Can't believe only that many get to the egg but then after 10 months of trying im not surprised!

@Mia1985x good luck for bloods lovely xx

I'm on CD12 and today was my first official day back to work from being on furlough for 4 months. However my role is at risk of redundancy and we are in a 45 day consultation which is all quite stressful. Really hoping this stress doesn't affect TTC as I feel this year has been one big stress so has probably had an affect. However being back to work is good for daily routine and mental health! Can anyone else believe it is August already? This year has gone so fast with not much to show for it!

We DTD today but no sign of positive opk yet. Hoping that will come by the end of this week.

@CAG14 are your gingers sassy? Ours likes to think the world revolves around him. Everything is his and he must be catered to 😂 he was an absolute devil as a kitten. We rescued him at 5 weeks and thought he was gonna stay so timid and sweet.. He used to climb inside the extractor fan in the kitchen, walked along curtain poles, got into cupboards and pushed our bowls out onto the tile floor so they all smashed, broke a storage unit that was holding tshirts, pushed over a bookshelf holding xbox games, sledged down the kitchen cupboards on a tray that then smashed, pushed a bottle of whiskey off a corner shelf and onto his litter tray that smashed to bits... These are just a few I vividly remember hahaha why did I take in another 🤦‍♀️ I remember thinking this is what having a baby is going to be like.. Then thinking no, this is probably worse because I definitely can't catch him 😂

CAG14 · 04/08/2020 08:45

@stabal omg that is hilarious (sorry!). Both of ours are actually pretty chilled and very very affectionate. However one is really jealous of the other one when he is getting attention which is quite funny. They get on well though luckily. I love that they all have their own personality. Sounds like yours is a right character. Pushing off the whisky and the bowls cracked me up haha!!!

I had the usual bloody opk drama this morning. I was away at the weekend and stupidly forgot to pack my CB digital opk even though I'd already used it for a couple of days. I think it has messed it up as it showed blank this morning but my IC was dark (almost peak) and even when I took the stick out the CB it looked like 2 dark lines which is similar to when I get my solid smiley. Anyway I think the best thing to do is to just DTD again the next 3 days just in case and carry on using the IC. I REALLY must do temping next month!

@butterfly5291 oh my god hahaha!

Plm28 · 04/08/2020 14:48

I have no idea what’s going on with my body! I’m on cycle two or I think I am, took 35 days to have my first period since coming off the pill but it’s an extremely light period, as far to say is just spotting. I took a test when it was getting on for day 30 and no sign of period but cramping but it was BFN. AF came yesterday but not even sure I can call it that, took another test today just to see if it’s implantation bleeding but BFN. Is this normal for periods to be light after being on the pill?is it too early to take a test?

CAG14 · 04/08/2020 15:59

@stabal haha omg!!

Bloody blank smiley this morning and peak this afternoon. I knew something was wrong with the blank this morning as IC was nearly positive. Anyone else's ovulation very different each month? Mine has gone CD14, CD18, CD13 the last 3 months! So not even easy to guess if I wasn't doing OPKs. Will DTD the next 3 days to hopefully cover it.

OP posts:
Stabal · 04/08/2020 16:57

@Plm28 extremely common to have light periods after the pill and unfortunately can continue like that for months until everything is normal again.

@CAG14 I think it's quite normal to have different ovulation days which is why the OPKs are so important when TTC so I wouldn't worry about it. You've caught your peak and ovulation is usually 12-48 hours after so you're in time. DTD and you will be covered 🤞

Faith82 · 04/08/2020 17:42

I am freaking out, please tell me do any of you see the same line I do?!

TTC Baby no1. The crazy lot. Thread 2!!
LT103 · 04/08/2020 17:44

@Faith82 I can def see a line! Does the line have colour to it? Fingers crossed for you. Do you have an frer or similar to do a double check? How many dpo are you?

Faith82 · 04/08/2020 18:03

In real life it’s a clear pink line honestly the photo isn’t even showing it up. This is a mom med ic though so I’m panicking that it’s wrong. Would a frer be ok to use tonight i.e it wouldn’t be fmu?
I’m 10 dpo

Stabal · 04/08/2020 18:31

@Faith82 oh wow! A line like that on an ic I would imagine you'd get a line on frer whether it's FMU or not. Give it a try!

Faith82 · 04/08/2020 19:01

Thank you! I’ve just went out in the rain and bought a frer but need to wait a couple of hours before I can pee again! I’m literally shaking I just think the ic must be wrong!

CAG14 · 04/08/2020 19:36

@Faith82 omg good luck hun. I can definitely see a line there! Let us know how you get on with the FRER and maybe test with another IC from the same pee so you can rule out a dodgy test. Really hope this is it for you!
