Just a quick one, my first month doing OPKs and although I have a pretty regular cycle I have started on CD5. I was under the impression I should test morning and night however the morning tests are always so faint it seems a waste of time? I've started reading SMEP and it says only do evenings? Obviously I'm getting through a lot of tests so just wondering if anyone has ever got there positive OPK in the morning or if I should stick to late afternoon evening?

Thanks in advance

@bibs124 I don't think I've been too stressed, usually ovulation occurs same time either way but AF is just later. Ah. Just something else to wonder about.

bibs124 · 19/07/2020 06:50

@Beepbeep42 maybe you are missing your peak, what times of day are you testing? I got my peak at 1pm after seeing a darker line that morning

Help me 😭 period due today. Took this early response Superdrug brand. This line came up. But when I took it out of the stick it was so faint I couldn't pick it up on camera.

I've been tracking for the first time too, and I've been doing morning and evening tests, today's test was from this afternoon. I've not been holding in just doing the test when I remember.... this is my opk progress from CD8.

@3andout that looks like a good peak today!!

I started tracking last month. Worried as my oh has to go away for work on Tuesday but I got a high today at cd11 so fingers crossed get my peak tomorrow. It was cd 13/14 last cycle.

3andout · 19/07/2020 13:12

@LT103 I'm amazed, did not think anything was happening until yesterday... Oh and I DTD last night, so hopefully we caught it. Although not holding my breath...

bibs124 · 19/07/2020 14:34

@zippityzip I can see it!! Have you done anymore tests? Fingers crossed for you Smile

@3andout I didn't think I'd of made it this month as didn't DTD on day of my positive OPK but obviously that wasn't the case Grin

@bibs124 Going to do another with FMU tomorrow. Still no sign of my period 🤞🏻

bibs124 · 19/07/2020 18:50

@zippityzip ahh how exciting, looking forward to your update in the morning!

So hard to pick up on the bloody camera. Done an IC which looks like a faint line. Maybe indent. But here's the new early response below. I've taken another pic and adjusted the brightness but it's the same test.
Period is one day late now so surely this would be clearer???

@zippityzip can definitely see a line! Maybe you ovulated later than you think so prenups AF isn't due yet hence the faint lines? I'd keep testing next few days and the line should get stronger Smile

@bibs124 Thank you. I feel like I'm going nuts. I'll get a FRER for tomorrow and update you!

LT103 · 20/07/2020 08:26

@zippityzip I can see something on the ic hcg tests! Fingers crossed it keeps getting darker for you!!

Congratulations @zippityzip! I am loving all the BFPs on this thread!

I finally got my solid smiley today after 6 days of flashing smileys. We have DTD the last 2 days and will again today and tomorrow, hopefully that will be enough...?

zippityzip · 20/07/2020 09:45

@BeeMakesTea I reckon you're in with a good shot! Let us know!

bibs124 · 20/07/2020 10:08

@zippityzip ahhh congratulations!!

@BeeMakesTea have you read the SMEP? It suggests doing it 3 days in a row after positive OPK and then wait a day and do one more day for good luck.. We didn't quite manage that this month! I got my positive OPK on CD12 and had DTD CD9, CD11 then DTD CD13 & CD14. I think just DTD as much as you can but it does feel like more of a chore when it comes to TTC. Good luck

@zippityzip fingers crossed! Have you told your DP?

@bibs124 thanks for the tip, we had been dtd every other day but then did the last 2 days and will try for 3 days now! It’s hard to not feel like you’re on a schedule but at the same time I want to feel we’ve done everything we can. You’re lucky getting a positive OPK so early, I’m CD16 today so feels like a long time coming!

zippityzip · 20/07/2020 11:05

@BeeMakesTea No I've only told you guys! I'm not prepared at all 😂 need to find a cute way of telling him!

bibs124 · 20/07/2020 11:33

@zippityzip have you had many symptoms? I've not really had many yet, other than a bit of nausea one day, very gassy (sorry TMI) and bloating.. as this is my first I don't really know what to expect and bit concerned I'm not having more symptoms! I am only 4 weeks today though

OP posts:
zippityzip · 20/07/2020 11:40

@bibs124 none at all! Other than a missed period. My boobs are a little sore, but generally it's about 6/7 weeks it starts to kick in. Give it time, you'll probably feel really rough very soon! From my LMP I'm apparently 5 weeks exactly.

bibs124 · 20/07/2020 12:15

@zippityzip ah okay that's reassuring thank you! So happy for you! Grin

Hope we have more success stories on this thread this month
