Hey girls as we are about to get thrown out of our thread I have started a new one so we can continue manically looking for EWCM, sore (.)(.)s and orange feet whilst chanting 'in with love, out with BFNs'.

Come on over/in

Anniemac - I am so sorry to hear about your berevement. I hope you are ok and managing. Good luck for the consultant visit tonight and so sorry AF turned up . You have had a tough time of it recently.

sweetkitty - I live in London, but I'm from Glasgow. i am hoping that DH and I will move back there in a couple of years to srttle for good, although he is not Scottish and is worried about fitting in, bless him. I miss the place a lot.

DG - well done on your presentation. Now you can go home and put your feet up or seduce DH!

hello Bucky, Pixie, Picknmix, deb, herbaceous and everyone else. Sorry to anyone missed.

CD14 for me, so it's downhill alll the way on the 2WW if I did ovulate early. i am going out tonight, but have told DH to wait up for me. Poor man left the house at 5.30am, so I'd better not be too late!

GryffinGirl · 27/09/2007 16:30

herbaceous - smelly wee? have you eaten asparagus ?

anniemac for AF...hope your luck changes soon.

herbaceous smelly wee? Is it the wee, or has your sense of smell heightened (which is definitely a pg symptom)

GG have fun tonight! Hope your DH manages to stay awake

pixie you have fun tonight too!

Well, funny how the day has turned out. From waking up depressed and empty - to now having just had some amazing news at work that has totally cheered me up. We've cracked open the champagne, I'm going for a celebratory drink before going home to an already informed DH who is also really pleased for me!
I know it's not a BFP, but it's nearest I'm going to get to one at this rate!!!!!!!!!

Bucky2007 · 27/09/2007 20:53

Well, I have decided to take a MASSIVE step in the name of ttc and....give up....coffee . Can't believe I just said that. Anyway be prepared for me to be bitching until I have detoxed. I don't drink loads of coffee 1 or 2 cups a day, but I cannot get up without it. I am truly a bit panicked by the idea but I guess I have to make a bit more of an effort to encourage Richie to come and hang out.

I had a rubbish day at work today, (glad you had a good one to make up for mine dg ) Left the house at 6.30am got home at 8pm. I HAVE to buy a euro millions ticket so I can lead a new life of luxury, and can you lot not play please to give me more of a chance of winning .

Also, DP was very naughty today. I was wearing a brown woollen dress with like a cowl neck and long sleeves and boots today and as I left the house DP opened the door and shouted "Bucky (he actually shouted my real name of course but that would give away my secret identity ), anyway getting back to the story...he shouted "Bucky, Maid Marian just called and said she wants her outfit back". Then he shut the door phsl!! So, how paranoid was I all day???? He is a cheeky monkey.

I miss Abbymeg already I hope she comes back. I was excited about having a cycle buddy . Of course being CD3 or something (Bucky pretends to be more chilled this month and not know her CD..yeah right ) I have nothing on topic to say.

I am trying to send out positive mental energy to aid everyone's fertility...hope you feel it

debinaustria · 27/09/2007 21:03

Hi Bucky - enjoy that wine!! Sorry you had a crap day at work, you can do without it can't you!!

Good luck with the coffee withdrawal symptoms

You'll probably be off it anyway soon when you get your bfp(there's some positive mental energy for you too)I couldn't drink tea or coffee when I was pg. I keep opening te coffe jar and hoping that I can't stand it and then I'd know!!

Deb

sweetkitty · 27/09/2007 21:16

hello people

anniemac - so so sorry about your DHs friend and for your AF turning up hope you turn that corner soon

DG - whats your amazing news at work (SK is v nosy) congrats anyway and enjoy your champagne

bucky - sorry you had a crap day maybe you should treat yourself to some champagne as well make up something to celebrate, Friday tomorrow, bet you looked great DHs think they are very funny sometimes.

SK waves to deb in austria and tigger

gryffin - I lived in London for 4 years, 4 years in Cambridge before that so after 8 years Caledonia called us back. DP also Scottish from same small town. Once we had DD1 I would have to have worked full time to afford a small house and with the commute wouldn't have seen her for 12 hours a day so I thought it wasn't worth it so we moved back up here, my career is down the toilet but I'm enjoying being a SAHM for the time being.

PicknMix · 27/09/2007 21:53

Gosh, a busy day had by all!

DG I'm pleased to hear your day ended better than it started - enjoy the champagne

Anniemac I'm so sorry to hear of all your worries, it must be a very difficult time for you and your family.

Bucky good luck with the coffee abstinence.... Tried to convince my DH to give up coffee (read that it reduces fertility in men) but as he's just given up smoking (yay!) I think letting go of the coffee fix might be a step too far just now . Sorry to hear about your rubbish day at work - I'm blaming it on the chilly brr weather as my day was pretty crappy too!

Deb thank you for your wise words - not specifically to me but to everyone. The Austrian air obviously suits you as you always seem so calm and know the right things to say

Pixie hope the making up with dp goes ok tonight

I'm sorry to hear of your mc's herbaceous, I have my fingers crossed for you this month - no sanity tips I'm afraid, my sanity went out the door long ago

Hi to Gryffyn, Tigger, SK, Lockets and anyone else I've missed - special big hi to our 'founder' cbcb.

And finally good luck to Abby - hope things work out on a more even keel for you soon xx

PHEW! Thats what comes of not checking in more often!!!!

No symptoms here as only cd 12 although have wierd cm at the mo so am hedging my bets that might OV earlier this month. Have also started temping so as to get some kinda clue on my cycle!

penguinmum · 27/09/2007 22:02

hello all. to those who have not had a good day and to those who have (hope that covers it!)

Good luck giving up coffee bucky. i went off it when i was pregnant with dd and had horrendous withdrawal symptoms.

symptom-wise today, been very tearful this evening, even cried watching eastenders and i am convinced my nipples have got darker (sorry if tmi). dh being non-commital, but think he is just trying not to encourage me in case i am imagining it!

ClairePO · 28/09/2007 09:05

Hello all another newbie respectfully requesting to join you and promising to make a coffee cake that will be ready in time for elevensees (gosh that was hard to spell, took me ages to figure it out!)

I had a m/c 2 weeks ago at 9 weeks and we decided to get trying again straight away, I got some cheapo OPK's from ebay that had free pg tests, tested Tuesday no surge, Weds couldn't really decide if it was same colour or slightly lighter. Stared at it a very long time, bd anyway just in case, yesterday it definitely looked like a surge to me so bd again. Now what do I do?

Oh yes and tried the pg test and it was negativeso think the hormones from the little one we lost have worked their way out.

GryffinGirl · 28/09/2007 10:27

Welcome ClairePO! Sorry to hear about your miscarriage and cheers for the cake for elevenses. Actually, now you have given me a HUGE real life craving for cake!! In my office people bring in cakes for their birthday to celebrate, but having checked the kitchen this morning there's nothing . There is never a birthday when you need one!

Maid Marian - your dress sounds lovely! I am not yet ready to give up caffeine as I love my coffee in the morning . Does it make a big difference? maybe I should think about giving up more seriously.

SK - I do envy you having a life in Caledonia . I work 12+ hour days in a pretty unpredicable job and DH works abroad a lot, so our current working lives are not exactly compatible with family, so we are searching about for where we want to live in Scotland. I expect I will have to make a decison about my career - whatever happens, if a baby does ever turn up for us, the career will have to be radically compromised.

hello again Sherksmissus - hope all is well with you.

Gryffin's symptoms at 10am on 28/09 are...... (drum roll please!).....absolutely nothing ! I am now CD15, so it's all downhill from now as I am into the 2WW. I hope somehting happens soon that I can report!

penguinmum - they sound very hopeful symptoms. Being tearful at random TV images is always a good one

DG - did you save any champers for us?

hello to deb, pixie, tigger, picknmix and annie. Hope you are ok today annie and thinking of you, m'dear. Sorry to anyone missed

katendmom · 28/09/2007 12:48

Hi Bucky2007~ You sound just like me. Just recently I started playing lottery (in USA - so no competition to you ). I had a mc few weeks back and figured - if I was just "lucky" with that, what not to say I might hit a big one playing? I must be loosing my mind

What's even sadder is that I now get upset every time my ticket is not a winner. How pathetic is that?! So now I get upset if my pg test is negative OR my ticket isn't a winning one! ~ More wine anybody?!~

Hi Deb ~ I get to jump on the other thread where we talked about our kiddies not talking at the expected age. My DS was just evaluated and the Dx is not at all what we expected. Nothing bad but kinda bogus. I'm not sure I'm buying it... Will see.

Clair I am SO jealous! Your hormones went down already?! I just tested a few days back and still got that nasty left over "positive" from my last mc! Somebody said it can stay "positive" for up to 4 wks! Do you think I should recheck again? No pg tests left in the house ~ How did THAT happen?!

On to symptoms spotting - I swear I OV'ed yesterday. I had this very typical cramps that went all the way to my sides (where I think fallopian tubes are - isn't that what eggs are using to travel down? Yeah... anatomy was not my strongest suit in college ) so we BD'ed just to be sure.

Now if I do get pg this month - my Dr. will have a heart attack. They told me to hold off for 2 months after my mc and not to do anything until my lab results come back. Rubbish~ (Kate develops beautiful English accent - she thinks she is SO cool now!)

pixie04 · 28/09/2007 12:52

Welcome ClairePO so sorry to hear about your MC, fingers crossed for you that you fall pregnant quickly and it all works out okay.

Well let the 2ww commence for me! Managed some BD'ing this morning. I ended up not getting home till past 1am last night (don't ask) I have a strong suspision we've missed the boat but hey I'm just so pleased I know I'm ovulating

Bucky did you enjoy your wine? Are you feeling any better? Good luck with giving up coffee it ain't easy.

DG Well done with the work thing really pleased for you.

ClairePO · 28/09/2007 12:56

Thanks for the hellos - now can someone tell me what symptons I'm meant to be looking for please? With baby just lost we weren't trying and it was being a week late that made me realise and do a test, I wasn't really looking for any symptoms.

debinaustria · 28/09/2007 13:15

Welcome Claire, sorry about your mc.

Symptoms - nausea, tiredness, sensitive/sore boobs, creamy cervical mucus, tearful, etc...That's enough to get you going!

Deb

TheMuppetMuggle · 28/09/2007 13:19

Hi I think maybe i should join this thread to!!

AF is due in 2 days and i've been feeling sick and absolutely exhausted for past week.
Also had alot of milky CM but not so much now sorry for tmi
No signs AF due yet either which is weird for me as normally get back ache about 4days before and had nothing so far!!

GryffinGirl · 28/09/2007 13:20

Hi ClairePO - if you scan the other 2WW thread we are all on, there are load sof conversations about symptoms, but in the main they are:

sore breasts
darker aureoles (nipples)
cramping like period pains
metalic taste in the mouth
general nausea
food cravings
crying/ being over emotional
orange feet (joking!)

The other posters will add to the list, but I don't think you are meant to experience any symptoms until beanie implants in the uterus, which is 6-12 days after fertalisation, so probably towards the end of the 2WW.

debinaustria · 28/09/2007 13:23

Katendmom - so did they say the problems were hearing related/bilingual home?

Deb

GryffinGirl · 28/09/2007 13:27

that should have read "areola" not aureole

note to self - learn to spell!

digitalgirl · 28/09/2007 13:35

hello all - welcome newbies! katendmom, your english accent is perfect!

sorry i haven't had a chance to read posts properly, have had a mad morning and now i need to dash off for a laptop free weekend in manchester!! will catch up on Sunday. hope you all get sore breasts, orange feet, metal mouth, giant windy nips!!

[dg rushes back in plonks champagne bottle down and a tray of glasses] help yourselves, it's a bottle leftover from yesterday's office celebration from winning our very first client account and proving that all this hard work does pay off!! should go nicely with the cake!!
