Hey girls as we are about to get thrown out of our thread I have started a new one so we can continue manically looking for EWCM, sore (.)(.)s and orange feet whilst chanting 'in with love, out with BFNs'.

Come on over/in

excitable - you can be of my EWCM if you like . I know I am lucky in a lot of ways that I have a regular cycle, no PCOS and AF turns up roughly on time every month, but it does make the lack of anything happening for 10 months all the more baffling. I can see how frustrating it is for DG and Picknmix with their irregular cycles so I know it should be ok and I am feeling curiously upbeat this month, like it is my turn or something. Unfortunately, the lack of anything happening also makes me suspect DH's swimmers which I am not proud of.

07MTW - any symptoms to report yet is you are on the 2WW? This is the thread for it

I'm repeating pixie's mantra in the hope that my eggs are a'hatchin' and that DH is home on time , although I am not sure if I should be dancing round a toadstool in shoes with bells on them for the maximum effect

bucky - meant to ask you before do you have any good tips for doing the road trip through Monument Valley etc? Only 4 more days in the office!

spookykitty · 22/10/2007 14:42

GG - fingers crossed it will be your month, congrats on the EWCM, you remind me of me ttc#1, took us 9 months and one chemical pregnancy. I used opks, got EWCM BDed at the right times and nothing, I as much as told DP it was all his fault and then lo and behold a BFP, hope it works for you too

excitable - do you remember Har on the Oct ttc thread she was my cycle buddy and we were both using CBD opks, she didn't get a I did, she didn't get EWCM, I did she got a BFP I didn't, this ttc business is like that sometimes bloody infuriating.

07MTW - whens your AF due? When you testing? Mine is due Halloween am trying to hold out testing until then.

Bucky - your new dog looks very scary bet he's lovely and soft though. Sorry about AF getting you too

Excitable · 22/10/2007 15:12

That's why I don't want to by an OPK, SK - I think it's just stabbing in the dark. And I don't like weeing on sticks at all. Thought it might be quite exciting, but turns out it's just a bit ikky. Oh dear, must find a way to get used to ik...

Feel so much more relaxed about ttc this month, to the point where I haven't even bought a HPT this month, I'm just going to wait for AF.

07mumstheword · 22/10/2007 16:31

GG No symptoms - none. Can't even make any up. Just checked (.)(.) again (check every few minutes) and absolutely no change, CM seems "normal" but not sure what I should be looking out for at this time of the month. I just seem to have a feeling this will not be my month. Perhaps I'm trying reverse physcology.

SK My cycles can be anything between 27 & 32 days. I was going to use an early response on Sunday but not sure. I have to go to hospital on Tuesday for something totally unrelated so thought maybe I should wait til Tuesday morning. I might use a cheapy Ebay test on Sunday to curb my craving and save my best for Tues

The wait is like when I was a child at Christmas it takes ages to get here and then you might not get the present you most wanted. Lets hope Santa comes early this year.

spookykitty · 22/10/2007 17:34

excitable - buy a 25p plastic jug from Asda/Woolies/Tesco and pee into it then dip the test in it, must easier than trying to hit the stick IME, I have a pee jug just for the purpose!

07MTW - I'm the same as you just haven't a good feeling about this month, I have ebay cheapies as well and DP is away Sunday to Tuesday next week (running a marathon in Dublin) so I can indulge myself too although last time I had 3 negatives on ebay cheapies (AF day AF day+1 AF day+3) and thought sod that went and got a CBD and you guessed it a BFP.

Better be off can smell dinner burning ...............

Bucky2007 · 22/10/2007 20:24

I have taken Thursday afternoon off work so I don't have to rush lunch dg. Griffyn are you coming or what missy?

On reflection I feel a bit fed up about AF. This will be month number 6...6.5 really as started half way through a month. Gryffin, I feel for you, maybe the lack of holidays is what has done it and with all the relaxation you will come back with a BFP . It was years ago about 8...that I went on my road trip. I have all the photos but can't remember the details of the driving part I am afraid. I remember going to the Grand Canyon, seeing a petrified(sp?) tree (when it goes all fossil-like, not a scared tree ) white sands in New Mexico was amazing...are you going to New Mexico can't remember? Saw a mental lightening storm in Phoenix and got grossed out by all the food...just the amount of it, there is so much...I started having liquid meals by about day 4 of a three week break!

Hello to Pixie, Picknmix, 07MTW, Kitty, Excitable and Coolcat. Hope you all had a good day.

Chin up Bucky, I feel really fed up today and I don't know why..
Look forward to the weekend when you get your puppy.

DH came home from work and had to go back out, half term so just me and DD

libralady · 22/10/2007 21:33

Well I did another test today and got a most definite BFP
Only symptoms, are slightly tender (.)(.)s - worse in the evenings, some pre-af cramp feelings since day 21 and a bit of a metallic taste in the mouth when eating first thing in the morning.
Tested on CD 25 and got the faintest of lines, but today's was a real stonker. AF wasn't due until Wednesday. Am in total shock as it took me 3 years + to fall with DS and this time around has taken 4 months. I really wish I knew about Mumsnet when ttc with DS as I'm sure I would have understood my body a lot better.

digitalgirl · 22/10/2007 21:52

hooray for Thursday afternoon off bucky! I think AF is slowly starting to make an appearance (tmi - gross brown CM). i've already quaffed two glasses of wine tonight, so she better be (or I'm a bad mother). so lets go somewhere fun!

well, if AF is properly here tomorrow that could mean an 11 or 12 day luteal phase (if I ov'ed). I will know when to go for my blood test and I am going to book some acupuncture.

still. I know I said I wanted AF, but i don't care whether it's convenient or not I just want a BFP.

ClairePO · 22/10/2007 21:58

Congrats Libralady lovely news, big hugs!

So sorry about TEW Bucky and DG join me in lurking in the 2ww thread while not actually in the 2ww

Gryffin I do hope it is your month!

07mumstheword · 22/10/2007 22:10

libralady Congratulations. It's fantastic that you've fallen PG so quickly this time compard to last.

Sorry TEW got you bucky & DG I've got a feeling she'll get me at the weekend.

PicknMix · 22/10/2007 22:24

Ahhh Libralady thats fab news, congratulations

Bucky and DG am sorry about the arrival of af - evil evil evil witch that she is. Know how you feel DG when you have a long cycle you end up wishing af would just turn up so you know where you stand in the whole ttc game and then when she does you wish she hadn't. Its all pants.

I'm in such a boring place in the ttc cycle - only cd6 and know that by the time the bd'ing can start in ernest I'll be embroiled in the family life of the in-laws. Will have to employ some of the stealth shagging as you suggested DG

spookykitty · 22/10/2007 22:38

libra - again congratulations

DG commiserations

I'm really fed up tonight

I WANT TO BE PREGNANT AGAIN

Thanks to everyone's congrats. I'm still trying to get my head around it at the moment. I am a little shocked. It took me over 3 years to fall with DS and this time it's taken 4 months! There is hope for everyone.

libralady · 23/10/2007 06:38

That should've read 'Thanks for everyone's congrats' - I'm getting a scrambled brain already!

madoldbird · 23/10/2007 08:01

First of all libralady wow, congratulations. Great news - let's hope it brings a flurry of BFP's on this thread now!!!

Hello to everyone else. Sorry i have been absent for a few days (and i realise i should have written a letter first asking for official permission to be absent!!!)I had to go away for work for a few days. Lots seems to have been going on here, and i haven't had a chance to read through properly.

shrekmissus CD10 for us today - am impressed with the military style organisation. Hope it can rub off on me as well! I have been downing grapefruit juice and EPO (+starflower) in order to get top-notch CM to keep little swimmers happy. Am a little confused, though, do i stop both of those PO?? Am also using OPKs for the first time. Last 2 cycles were 26 days and 28 days so have done first one today on CD10 just to be on the safe side. Although i knew i wasn't ovulating today i still felt a bit of a failure not getting a smiley face!

Anyhow, i hope everyone is OK on this cold & frosty morning. Am going to look at the picture of your puppy now Bucky!

flosspot · 23/10/2007 09:50

Yippee Libralady- Congratulations, and see you 'on the other side' whenever you are ready.

Big batches of babydust to everyone else....

digitalgirl · 23/10/2007 10:53

mob Not sure about the EPO, but you can stop drinking grapefruit juice after ov if you want, but doesn't hurt to keep drinking it.

Just posted on the Oct thread that I still don't have proper AF yet. She's dragging her pointy witchy heels. Will crack open the CBD on Sat if it's still like this. Can't believe I'm still hoping to be pg .

pixie04 · 23/10/2007 10:54

YAY Libralady Congratulations! I'm really pleased for you. I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy. Keep us updated with your real symptoms though we like to know what we should be looking out for hehehe.

Well not that you all want to know but DP and I got in some early morning BDing and even though I was going to be late for work I managed to stay horizontal (with a pillow under my bum) for a full twenty mins. Such a hardship lol. So I'm in a fantastic mood today and really hoping that I hatch my egg soon.

excitable well done you, not buying any HPT's yet. Wish I could be like that I've got five in our bathroom.

DG & Bucky sorry TEW turned up, but you guys get to have a meet up so your lucky and you can drink wine. I'm almost at the 2ww so no wine for me now until AF shows up.

pixie04 · 23/10/2007 11:01

DG hopefully its just an implantation bleed and not real AF.

You know what I was like I was in the desperatley hoping corner for a good few days after AF arrived.

Excitable · 23/10/2007 11:13

We might have to do some early morning BDing too. Somehow managed to get myself booked up for four nights out of five this week - somebody really should stop me! It's all good stuff, but I'm going to be exhausted. Must try to drink less too, as am rubbish at not drinking. I think that Mother Nature is waiting until I can show some willpower before she gives me the BFP that I want!

At least being so busy will take my mind off ttc... I think...

Congrats to Libralady and so pleased it happened for you so quickly this time. Every one is different...

Hope you're feeling better today SpookyKitty

Found all this baby dust under my desk at work. Here, have some:

* * * * * * **

pixie04 · 23/10/2007 11:37

Thanks for the baby dust excitable hopefully it'll work for us. I'm booked up every night this week. Its great being so busy (I like it) but getting some alone time with DP is like finding a needle in a haystack. He's not normally a morning man so I was quiet lucky this morning. (also it set the day off to a great start )

spookykitty · 23/10/2007 12:04

Nothing much to report here sorry, still a full 8 LONG days to AF is due.

I had loads of EWCM last week but last BD was CD14 (long story) so not that hopeful, ov day was CD15 so have told DP if we do get pregnant it will be a girl and it's his fault and if he really wanted a boy he should have been up for more BDing so there, still if I get my little trio of girls I will be delighted. Sorry just off on one again....................
