Hey girls as we are about to get thrown out of our thread I have started a new one so we can continue manically looking for EWCM, sore (.)(.)s and orange feet whilst chanting 'in with love, out with BFNs'.

Come on over/in

Hi All

I have been watching your thread for a while, I am ttc no2 and would like to join? (passes you all a serving of homemade apple crumble and custard) This is my second month with no contraception and keeping fingers crossed.
Bucky that puppy is gorgeous .... will keep you busy though!!

Excitable · 21/10/2007 19:28

Picknmix what is an EPAC? Is it like an Ewok?

Bucky I am in love with your dog! WANT. Thinking of feigning burglary to persuade DH to buy me dog...

Been on a lovely long walk in Lytham St Annes today. I've never been before, but it's v. nice! The sea air made us really hungry so we had chips on a bench outside a church as the sun set. Quite a romantic day when I think about it, but too tired to finish it off with any BDing. Might tape Dirty Dancing tonight. Guilty pleasure - nobody puts Excitable in a corner either...

Excitable · 21/10/2007 19:30

coolcat anyone with apple crumble is more than welcome. Excuse me, I am talking with my mouth full - this is really nice!

Good luck this month. It's really nice to pass the time between now and BFP with some people who understand.

Bucky2007 · 21/10/2007 19:36

Well I am going to eat the virtual apple pie even though I just ate RL cherry pie. Thank you v. much Coolcat and welcome.

digitalgirl · 21/10/2007 20:04

a little doggie bucky, how exciting!

excitable am [jealous] of your long romantic walk. I've not left the house today, just baked muffins...then ate them.

hi coolcat! thanks for the apple crumble . so whereabouts in your cycle are you? any symptoms?

have cracked today and ordered two fertility books off amazon. dh and I have accepted that I do not have 'normal' cycles, CD44 is a bore.

coolkat · 21/10/2007 20:12

Glad you all enjoyed the crumble

Still trying to come to grips with my cycle, AF finished about 10 days ago. I am trying to stay calm and not think I WANT TO BE PREGNANT NOW!! (takes deep breath)
IF AF (being positive!) comes this month then I am going to start recording and getting serious, this month has not been good as DH started new job but its sort of gone 'belly up' so he has been a little off BD (TMI - Sorry!!)
Will keep you informed.....

Bucky2007 · 21/10/2007 20:12

Hey dg, how things?

He is actually getting rather big. I have enrolled him in school .

OP posts:
Bucky2007 · 21/10/2007 20:16

dg You sound a bit down about your cycles not surprisingly. Maybe the blood test will shed some light? Pmsl at you eating your muffins. I try not to bake now, because there is only too of us and we end up eating a whole cake/pie/oven of biscuits between us!

OP posts:
digitalgirl · 21/10/2007 20:35

coolkat there is noo such thing as tmi on the symptom spotters thread! not when bucky gets her cm link out!!

down but not out bucky . am pretty sure the blood test won't pick up the normal levels of progesterone as I won't have ov'ed by then, so hopefully i can get referred to a specialist. would just like to know that I do ovulate...feeling good about taking my temps tho, apparently it's the best way to know that you've ov'ed.

look at me, I'm obsessing about eggs again!! eggs eggs eggs

ClairePO · 21/10/2007 21:44

Bucky what a lovely dog

Hello everyone, I'm still here and thinking of you all, on Cd4 now and taking temp & charting so will be 2ww with you all again very soon!

PicknMix · 21/10/2007 22:39

Bucky your new dog is sooo very lovely - will keep you nice and busy!

Coolkat hello and welcome! Sorry to hear about your DH's job, much added stress I imagine, fingers crossed for this month for you!

Digitalgirl I'm not really sure that there is a way of bringing on ovulation more quickly without medical intervention (and even then I don't really know), sorry. CD44 Must be really tough for you - my cycle was 45 days last month and the wait was agony. This month only 32 days though so who knows whats going on ...... Didn't have any treatments when I went to Dr's first time round (last year) because Dr was pretty useless and told me PCOS was 'just one of those things' and to 'see how it goes'. Once I get back from Oz I'm heading back down there to see someone different.

Believe me, when the Dr said that my mc was 'just' a mc I was pretty livid but what can you do??? We weren't ttc at the time so she obviously thought that it didn't matter to me. How narrow minded and silly.

Excitable EPAC stands for Early Pregnancy Assesment Clinic although something to do with Ewoks would have been much more fun!! Amazing clinic with fantastic staff which the government have decided to now close down. Along with the maternity unit in a years time. This means if I ever have the same probs again I would have to travel for an hour.

Big waffling tonight - apologies!!!!!

spookykitty · 21/10/2007 22:49

CD18 nothing to report here don't think I will be pregnant this month just have a feeling

coolkat - hello and welcome, come over and join us on the ttc October thread as well, we are a bit mad over there as well

07MTW - I bought some opks and hpts from ebay last week HAD to do an opk and hpt on the SAME day I was about CD11 so NO chance of a BFP but still had to stick them in some pee for quality control, I said I am not testing until 31st October the day AF is due after last month but we will see

DG - I know that some people who struggle with ttc take Clomid to regulate their cycles and get them more fertile I don't know much about it but have a nose around mumsnet loads of women will know about Clomid.

picknmix - at your doctor the unsensitive cow, I would change GPs and never see her again.

07mumstheword · 22/10/2007 09:27

Welcome Coolcat if you are CD10 it's soon time for some BD action and fingers crossed for BFp.

Bucky is the dog a puppy? It looks very big already should deter any nasty burglars. I'm sure he or is it a she is a softie really. What are you going to call him/her?

SK It's so nice to know I'm not alone with the quality control tests I also have a "feeling" I'm not PG this month. But I suppose it's not over til TEW gets me!

Excitable · 22/10/2007 09:45

Told DH yestersday that as I was convinced I was pg last month when I wasn't, then my female intuition is clearly broken! Although the bit that knows when he's done something wrong is working just fine, obviously!

So not trusting any funny feelings this month, honest, just hard evidence for me from now on. I have learned my lesson. Probably.

Bucky2007 · 22/10/2007 10:14

Morning

TEW got me . Early too [shock} I only made it to CD26, which means if I ov on CD15 I only have a 11 day LP. If I remember right short LPs are not good!

My dog is 6 months old. Quite co-incidentally he was born on 17th April 2007 the due date of the baby I MC'd so maybe he was meant to be my baby [grin}

OP posts:
digitalgirl · 22/10/2007 10:23

bucky you sure it's TEW? if it is.
11 day luteal phase is fine, i think it's only a problem if it's less than 10 i.e. 8 or 9, as sometimes it can take the fertilised egg up to 10 days to implant (which isn't good if you've already started 'shedding').

well, I woke up with cramps, back ache and sore boobs. have stashed tampons etc in handbag today. looking forward to a glass of wine in the next few days

pixie04 · 22/10/2007 10:26

Good Morning Ladies!

Have had a quick skim through the posts but haven't read properly yet sorry.

How is everyone? I've stayed off MN this weekend doing my best to relax.

Not much to tell from me am on the look out for OV sugns. Nothing as yet.... last cycle I didn't OV till CD21 so I could have another week to go yet..... am hoping its sooner this month

digitalgirl · 22/10/2007 11:15

hi pixie [dg waves back] we need a new mantra to bring on early ov'ing...

pixie04 · 22/10/2007 11:34

"I will hatch eggs, I will hatch eggs, I am a calm and fertile woman, I will hatch eggs I will hatch eggs"

That okay or do you think it will turn us into chickens?....

GryffinGhoul · 22/10/2007 12:01

morning everyone! I sayed away from MN at the weekend, but now I am back at my desk in the office trying to get on with some work, but I keep being disctracted!

Bucky - I absolutely love your dog! He is gorgeous and I am very of you having a dog and a garden. I love in an itsy bitsy teeny weeny London flat, so no chance of canine company for me . Will email you and DG about the meet up.

DG and Picknmix - so at your GP. I said before that my sister is a GP and I have been telling her about all the insensitive things you guys have had to go through.

Welcome coolcat - it's more the merrier round here and thanks for the apple crumble. Let us know how you go this month and if you get any interesting symptoms!

hello to pixie, excitable, spooky, 07MTW and everyone else. Sorry to anyone missed

I have EWCM today and it's CD13! Hurrah! DH has been ordered home from work at a good time tonight and has a grin on his face already. I am really giving it my very best shot this month and we will be on holiday during my 2WW, so that should keep my mind off symptom spotting and driving myself mad with wondering if I am/am not PG. I don't know why, but I really think that this could be my month [very hopeful emoticon]

GryffinGhoul · 22/10/2007 12:01

that should obviously be "live" in a small flat

coolkat · 22/10/2007 12:04

Cluck Cluck Cluck ("Good morning all" - turned into that Chicken!!!)

Well school holiday's day 1 , done games, made flapjack - eaten flapjack, bored. Ironing lost any appeal!

Bucky have you put up 'Beware of the dog signs yet'?
Anyway less rambling hope your all having a nice day.

Excitable · 22/10/2007 12:17

GG is it wrong to be of your EWCM. I'm day 12, and nothing yet - I'm just hoping that it's hiding up there with my cervix...

Maybe it knows how excited I got last time and thinks it isn't good for me!

07mumstheword · 22/10/2007 12:29

GG Hope it is your month.

I've done my ovulating this month and one wk into the dreded two wk wait so if I don't get BFP I will try mantra next month.

digitalgirl · 22/10/2007 13:59

gg looks like pixie's mantra worked on you!

just had a conversation with a non-ttc/no kids mate who reminded me that a lot of the medical 'information' on the internet was aimed at americans where non-emergency medical treatment is private. so it's in their interests to create a feeling of insecurity around health.

it was her way of saying 'you're fine dg, stop worrying about your cycles'.

i still don't think anyone can understand how you feel about ttc until you actually start ttc.
