Hey girls as we are about to get thrown out of our thread I have started a new one so we can continue manically looking for EWCM, sore (.)(.)s and orange feet whilst chanting 'in with love, out with BFNs'.

Come on over/in

bucky if you play CP maybe you'll find it's dropped and is hard and low (which mine did immediately after ov). then you know you're definitely out of egg range.

digitalgirl · 11/10/2007 10:36

oh gg sorry to hear that...hope your day's busy enough for you to distract you through the worst of it. then feet up later and BIG glass of wine (and a slab of choccie cake)

GryffinGirl · 11/10/2007 10:45

feel pretty gutted . I didn't have any symptoms, so was pretty sure nothing would come of this month's practice, but it's still very final when AF arrives. I suppose I am so disappointed because we gave it a really good shot, BD-ing every day for 10 days in the middle of the month, EWCM, positions, grapefruit juice, yadda yadda yadda. That's us been trying for 6 months (and playing some wait-and-see russian roulette before that) and not sure what else you can do except do the whole thing again.

urgh, just ignore me and my depression today

pixie04 · 11/10/2007 10:50

GG come and join Excitable and I x it'll be okay, damn that old witch has some of my lovley red wine.

Digitalgirl you are sooooo pregnant hehehehe. I hope I'm not wrong but I am convinced now. Increasingly sore nips and no sign of AF and anxiousness about not having lived enough of your own life yet as well as tiredness who needs HPT's I'm sorry I don't want to get your hopes up but you must be what 12/13 DPO? Will be on here first thing Saturday morning wanting to hear your results x I have everything crossed for you xxx

pixie04 · 11/10/2007 10:55

GG its never too early for wine hehehe. Have a huge cyber I know how you feel its been 8 months for me and now on 7th cycle (had one really long cycle) Its horrible I know, maybe try and find out more about your cycle by using OPK's or charting, temping and cervical persuit. It can't do any harm but try to stay clam getting stressed is one of the worst culprits for messing up your cycles. Stick with it hun its gotta happen at some point for you. xxx

Try to enjoy CD1 drink wine eat brie and rare steaks and take advantage of all the things your not supposed to do when TTC or PG.

madoldbird · 11/10/2007 11:04

Morning all.

GG so sorry to hear about that nasty AF arrival. It's past 11am now so i am sure that a glass of wine is ok

BUCKY interesting to hear about your "boob growth" that's exactly what i've had since coming off the pill - i think i am a cup size bigger in the second half of my cycle! Also accompanied by swollen, tingling nipples, soreness, nausea, etc. i.e. all the symptoms which keep me in the desperately hopeful corner!!

Well, i feel a bit back-achey, crampy, etc, so i think that AF is on her way here too. Still got fingers crossed, of course, but i think i know, deep down, it's not happening this month.

DG got fingers and everything else crossed for you!!!

GryffinGirl · 11/10/2007 11:23

and just had an email: "X and Y are delighted to announce the future arrival of baby next March" That rather compounds things.

Pass that glass vin rouge madoldbird, the sun's over the yard arm, so some vino de calapso is just the trick!

Pixie - thanks, hon. It's really appreciated.

DG - I'm with Pixie on this one. You are def PG!

Hi Bucky, Excitable, Claire and everyone else.

pixie04 · 11/10/2007 11:32

Oh GG today is shit day for you isn't it. so sorry I've had a succession of pregnancy announcements since I've been ttc and non of theirs are planned and its making me bitter

GryffinGirl · 11/10/2007 11:47

DH and I did a straw poll last night. In the 18 months we have been married, 15 (!!) of our couple friends are preganant or have had babies and one is on to #2. Most saying "we didn't think it would happen".

I'm happy for them and feeling very sorry for me

But enough doom and gloom. I am going to buy myself a new handbag to cheer myself up. I realised I have been putting my life stuff on hold recently. Retail therapy ahoy! The handbag shop keepers of Ye Olde London Towne had better watch out this lunchtime - I am on the spend!

digitalgirl · 11/10/2007 12:15

gg have fun shopping! Gawd, I need a new handbag too! I also need to go buy DH an anniversary present.

Thinking about your straw poll...and sorry if this sounds insensitive, but my friend was talking about all the couples she knows who have kids or are trying and she says out of the 6 couples they've had 15 miscarriages a 5 chemical pregnancies between them. These things aren't often talked about so you don't often get to balance out all the 'lucky shots' with the 'unlucky shots'. No-one in RL ever talks about how long it takes unless they've been really lucky for it to happen quickly. This 20% chance we have every month must come from some research...so for every woman that gets PG, there's 4 who've been trying who don't. But we rarely know who they are.

Oops, feeling sad now. That's not what I intended to do...am posting this anyway, coz I think it should be said.

Bucky2007 · 11/10/2007 12:17

Aww Griffin I can only say what everyone else has..glug down that wine, party like you're a rock star .

It still sucks though. At least you get to hang out with us for a little while longer (small consolation but all the same think of all the skills you are learning CM analysis, Cervical pursuit etc etc). And you don't have to be slapped now either .

dg I don't think I even have to cross my fingers...pretty sure thing really. ooh we could all be cyber-aunties to DGs bambino . Pixie could make her little shoes with bells on for a present...still don't want to jinx so will hold off on the victory dance .

madoldbird glad I am not alone in the boob fluctuation camp . Its really annoying, and only started recently, or maybe I only started noticing recently. I have visions that my tits have been bursting out all over the place for months and I have being unaware

flosspot · 11/10/2007 14:09

Griffin "X and Y are delighted to announce the future arrival of baby next March" I am excited about pip (too small to be bean) but experience has taught that you shouldn't get too excited too soon. I will not be sending such a - frankly weird- email. Sorry you are feeling shit. Sending hugs.

DG- interesting point- twas only when I had my mc that so many others we knew admitted they had had similar...as you say, it's only the super-jammy ones who suceeded first tim out that mention time taken to conceive. I shall be honest and tell everyone it took far longr than we had planned....

Sending everyone chocolate cake emoticon- sounds like you need it. Bring on the weekend.

pixie04 · 11/10/2007 14:21

I can't wait till I get PG and if all goes OK I will be telling everyone how long it took and how pleased I am.

Unfortunatley the four yes now there's four PG women in my F&F that are all open that their PG's were happy (one unhappy) accidents so I am letting myself feel bitter.

Although I of course understand that there are so many women out there who do take longer to concieve and don't tell people about the awful bits ie MC and chemical PG.

So far I am counting myself lucky that I haven't had to experience either since I started ttc in Feb. I had a MC a few years ago but the PG was not planned and I was very young and I still found that awful to deal with so pray I don't have to go through that now a baby is very much wanted.

GryffinGirl · 11/10/2007 16:02

I'm really sorry for moaning guys, when I know people who have had such painful experiences with mc. Puts things in prespective. You are right - not everyone falls preganany at the slightest shove.

I suppose I just want to know I can conceive. Neither DH nor I have had any previous luck/experience there, so we are both unproven . At least that's what DH tells me....

GryffinGirl · 11/10/2007 16:07

p.s. following up that comment about DH's unproven sperm potency. I once worked with a lawyer who had a call out the blue from a woman saying "not sure whether you remember me from about 6 years ago, but....". It turns out he has a five year old son he had no idea about . A two/three night fling, nothing serious, entirely amicable parting of the ways.

digitalgirl · 11/10/2007 17:19

gg why on earth didn't she tell him earlier?!?

a girl i work with is going out with a guy who only found out recently that he'd fathered a daughter with a woman he'd had a short fling with. she told him when the daughter was 2yo. then when she came to visit with her daughter (she lives in canada) for xmas, he stupidly had a one night stand with her. ta da! pregnant again! your lawyer friend better watch out, maybe she wants another baby...

GryffinGirl · 11/10/2007 17:42

it was a couple of years ago. Not sure why she didn't tell him, but he told me the relationship was wasn't serious, she didn't want a termination (or talked into one) and was living 200 miles away so he wouldn't find out. Last thing I heard he was getting involved with his DS's upbringing. He doesn't have any other DC's, so his DW had a shock too. Hence my comment about my DH being unproven..... as far as I know I suddenly remembered that story!!

GryffinGirl · 11/10/2007 17:47

DG - you say your friend "is going out with". Is she still with him? isn't getting the same woman up the duff twice a marching orders offence for a DP?!?

digitalgirl · 11/10/2007 18:24

gg she only just started dating him a few months ago...and this all came out very early on in their relationship...but yes, made her wonder. not enough to end it though.

PicknMix · 11/10/2007 18:43

Hiya all,

Wrote a nice long post yesterday and then the computer crashed and I was far too tired to go through the faff of turning it on/waiting for it to warm up/signing in etc.....

Hope all are ok?? Wasn't sure if I should be wearing some kind of armour to come in here - protect me from all the slapping going on !!!

GG hope you're feeling ok and the choc and wine has helped a little.

I have had a funny old day - have been trying to totally ignore anything remotely Symptom-like because I don't want to get too excited but I had a bout 3 dizzy spells (had eaten and drunk normal amount so not due to dehydration etc.) and my boobs are so sore it hurts to walk quickly now. Also have funny cramps low down which could be start of af cramps but I usually only get cramps once af has well and truely set up camp, never before she arrives.

Sorry for me me me post, just been pondering all day.

Ooh, and I am being soooooo grumpy with DH (luckily he's the forgiving sort ).

pixie04 · 11/10/2007 19:30

GG & DG at your stories! its better than Eastenders on here... well almost

DG I saw your post on the Due June thread.. I think you'll be joining them soon hehehehe

PicknMix your symptoms sound great maybe you'll be joining DG and the others on the Due June thread. Fingers crossed for you both

Guess what AF has stopped. Normally I have really bad cramps for a week before and during AF and they used to last at least five days. I did have a heavy bleed this morning so guess we'll have to wait and see I have absolutely no symptoms though so maybe just a short AF this did happen last month as well.

GryffinGirl · 11/10/2007 19:41

Picknmix - they sounds like excellent symptoms! You will definitely be graduating soon!

digitalgirl · 11/10/2007 20:44

picknmix I hope dizzy's a symptom coz I've been like ethat the past week!!! When are you testing???

pixie aha! Now I know I'm not the only one who lurks there!!!! Fingers crossed your AF has gone for good (and won't return till sometime next year)

Bucky2007 · 12/10/2007 07:59

Morning everyone, I am not a work today because....and don't laugh...I have eye strain!! I shouldn't be on the computer now,I have really blurred vision after about 5 minues. I went to the optician and of course I need glasses, the most expensive glasses in the world as nothing cheaper suited my big face .

Anyway all of your symptoms seem positive,. I look forward to lots of BFPs over the weekend. However, last time I checked eye strain wasn't a symptom and now I can't see again so have to go .

Have a good day. (good thing I can touch type!)

Bucky2007 · 12/10/2007 08:00

Didn't mean to sound like I was boasting about expensive glasses, it is just funny because that is what I told DP!
