Hey girls as we are about to get thrown out of our thread I have started a new one so we can continue manically looking for EWCM, sore (.)(.)s and orange feet whilst chanting 'in with love, out with BFNs'.

Come on over/in

Thats progress madoldbird

I am a little relieved that AF is here as I will be able to get very drunk at my best buddies 30th which is soon, although if I had been PG I would have been happy to skip it. Every cloud hey!

digitalgirl · 10/10/2007 12:53

pixie and excitable sorry to hear AF has turned up, but comforting to know that you're both having normal cycles. pixie you must be so pleased after last cycle's shenanigans.

Am also hoping that if AF does turn up she comes before the weekend so that I can get drunk with my girls at an emotional leaving do and then celebrate my anniversary with DH in style (would like lots of champagne and rare fillet steak).

madoldbird have you recovered from our tough love?!

dg x

madoldbird · 10/10/2007 14:14

dg my head's a bit sore from the slaps, but i have renewed determination not to test till the end of the week!

pixie04 · 10/10/2007 16:12

well done madoldbird thats the spirit! Sorry for the slaps earlier

digitalgirl · 10/10/2007 17:04

pixie saw your confession on the other thread...are you waiting to see if AF gets heavier?

pixie04 · 10/10/2007 17:35

yes... I'm hoping it won't. I've had no knicker staining and only see blood when I go to the loo. It is red but no clotting yet. I'd be surprised if it isn't AF as I am 14 DPO so would be bang on time but it is looking a little light so far. If it stops or stays light I may well test Saturday anyway although I think I'm just setting myself up for a fall because I have felt very crampy today. I feel ashamed at my craziness.

Someone call the men in white coats!

Bucky2007 · 10/10/2007 17:40

ooh feel like a right old nag now for trying to deprive DP of his wine. . I thought the sperm might get a bit drunk and lose their way.

With all the slapping going on I think I will keep out the way . If anyone needs a slap I do hee hee.

I am sooo excited about dg . Don't want to jinx though so I am not going to do a victory dance for you just yet!

OP posts:
pixie04 · 10/10/2007 17:49

Can I please count this as a symptom?....

I told you all once that a phsycic told me recently that although times would be hard over the next few weeks that all would be okay by October 16th..... Guess what my appointment for my scan (internal one to check my ovaries) has come through and is for the 16th....

I'm sure that this is just a coinsidence but I'm now really starting to hope that they will find a little bud in there or at least tell me my ovaries are all clear!

Someone slap me!

pixie04 · 10/10/2007 18:23

OKAY OKAY i know I'm majorly clutching at straws guess I'm just a bit more dissapointed about AF arriving than I realised. Am becoming very desperate

ClairePO · 10/10/2007 19:07

Slaps Pixie but gives her and excitable a hug too

Well you can slap me too because I did a test too this morning, I think I'm 12dpo and of course it was a BFN. Ho hum.

fairysnuff · 10/10/2007 20:31

oh poo, lots of BFN's and visiting bitcheswitches!!

I think I will fight my urge, to pee on something, a little harder. You are a tough old lot and I don't want to be slapped

Although, I did have some cramps today. They only lasted a wee while. Can I please convince myself that they are those implantation ones that I hear you talk about? {puppy dog eyes emoticon}

Excitable · 10/10/2007 20:45

Thanks for the wine, Cycle Buddy Pixie [hic] it's lovely, and only half responsible for the rant on the ttc thread! I hope I can keep you cheered up this cycle and be good company so you don't feel so sad [hug]

Madoldbird I'm proud of you walking past the shop and not buying that test - that's what it's about - stoicism - I love it!

Bucky only just had chance to see that clip - brilliant. There's a link to a sketch about it with her trying to call 911 - be warned though - sick joke alert!!!
Oh, and I've had the wine conversation with my DH too, but he produced evidence that he could - damn the internet! I thought he might like to join me in the abstinence for moral support, but I don't think it's going to happen...

I found out that parmesan cheese isn't pasteurised today. This are disaster at Excitable towers. I LOVE Italian food. I did Italian for my degree, so I speak it, but much more often, I eat it! We go through a block of Parmesan about once every couple of weeks or something. I don't think I can give it up. Smoking and drinking are a different matter, but this?? And I'd be really surprised if Italian women give it up. Maybe I should read some Italian websites on the subject... Might be a while before I get the time. Does anybody know how the advice in this country compares with pregnancy advice in other countries? I know that in America they are proper strict about what you can and can't eat and pregnant women have been screamed at and generally abused in coffee shops for drinkng coffee.

ClairePO · 10/10/2007 21:15

Someone said to me women in France don't give up pate and brie - maybe if you can speak the language you're immune?

ClairePO · 10/10/2007 21:28

I'm very tired. That's a symptom right?

Bucky2007 · 10/10/2007 22:01

I'm super tired. Keep feeling like I want to fall asleep. I think the air is thin or something. My (.)(.)s are starting to grow again. Obviously this is going to be a monthly occurance now. Do I really have to invest in one set of bras for the first half of the month and a second set for the second half. This ridiculous . They hurt a bit too, its way too early for symptoms. I am officially on the 2ww though. If I did ov on CD9 I would be 7DPO, is that too early for symptoms?

OP posts:
Bucky2007 · 10/10/2007 22:02

I am rambling but please do not slap me

OP posts:
digitalgirl · 10/10/2007 22:27

DG doesn't do slapping when AF is around, instead she strokes pixie's little pointed hat that sits on her little pointed ears and fluffs up her toadstool for her.

excitable I just read the back of a parmesan wrapper the other day...was also v. disappointed. But my completely unresearched opinion is that it's only unpasteurised soft cheese and blue veined hard cheese that is specifically mentioned to be avoided. No-one said nuffink about no parmesan. any I'm half italian (even though i don't speak it) so I think I have a natural immunity to all italian foods during pg. the fact that you speak it awards you this same immunity

bucky wish i got bigger boobs...

fairysnuff & clairePO on this thread tiredness and cramps are definitely a symptom (along with cake eating and rowing with DHs)

i'm shattered, i've had such a long day, and i've got another long day tomorrow. this working lark is losing it's appeal. wish i had a job where i could take sickies and a year's maternity leave and then more sickies. oh and nipples are more sensitive today than they were yesterday. am no longer ill but have no appetite (think that's more to do with yesterday's cakefest tho)

Bucky2007 · 10/10/2007 22:36

dg what happened with the secret lunch and the job offer?

OP posts:
digitalgirl · 10/10/2007 22:43

it's next wednesday, in one of those exclusive media clubs where no-one can spot us (apart from loads of other media movers and shakers!). have no idea what its about...if it's another start up I'm having nowt to do with it.
i've already started saving up for my maternity leave, so i figure if i did start a new job i'd be in exactly the same boat. would be nice not to have to save for baby number two though! ah well, that's a long way off.

ClairePO · 11/10/2007 07:43

I'm going to start learning italian so I can eat parma ham

pixie04 · 11/10/2007 08:26

ClairePO thanks for the slap I needed it.

Digitalgirl Thanks for fluffing up my toadstool I slept soooo much better last night, I really needed that. Your symptoms sound great I think you'll get the BFP this month how many DPO's are you now?

Excitable I'm glad I have a cycle buddy, it does cheer me up and I should stop wallowing. I am glad that I've managed a normalish 35 day cycle instead of the 71 day one I was cursed with last time. Oh and I deffinatley think that if you speak itallian you are immune to the food. (note to self learn itallian)

Bucky 7 DPO isn't too early for symptoms but if you got a on your OPK day before yesterday then wouldn't you have ovulated yesterday? maybe tiredness is because you have concieved?

Well I think I'm CD2 bleeding has continued but not increased. I am going for a TV scan on Tuesday (the 16th! well I think its spooky) so if there anything to see I'm sure I will be told about it so we'll have to wait and see. I have ordered more OPK's though, they worked well for me I just have to work on my seducing DP skills a friend suggested that the more you get it the more you want it so this month I'm going to pester him hehehehe

Bucky2007 · 11/10/2007 09:05

Pixie ur right, I got on Monday so would have in theory ov on Tues. So only 1dpo yesterday. Am grasping at symptom spotting straws .

btw, I trimmed the grass around the bottom of your toadstool on the way to work this morning. I noticed you left your itsybitsy lawnmower outside ready and had a few minutes...hope you don't mind.

OP posts:
pixie04 · 11/10/2007 09:19

No problem Bucky with all this ttc business I've gotten a little bit slack in the toadstool up keep.

Oo Oo Oo < pixie jumps up and down as she thinks she knows why buckys boobs are acting up> When I OV'd earlier in the month my nips were in agony for about five DPO and my boobs starting increasing in size for the whole of my LP and and I have a bump in my right boob that gets really sore about a week before AF arrives. Deffinatley OV/LP symptoms. In fact I think I got these sysmptoms at the end of my 71 day cycle but thought that they were PG symptoms when they must have been OV symptoms... it all makes sense now

Sorry if that make you 1 DPO the 2ww is agony but a lot of women get sysmptoms as soon as they've concieved so you never know...

digitalgirl · 11/10/2007 10:31

pixie glad you slept well!

well my nips hurt even more today. thankfully I've lost the urge to test.

I know if it's a bfn on Saturday I'll be very disappointed. But everytime I think, 'oo there's another symptom, I might actually be pregnant' I get a woosh of butterflies and think 'OMG am i ready for this? I haven't even been to Thailand/Australia/Belize/insert name of far-flung destination here' anyone else?

GryffinGirl · 11/10/2007 10:33

Good luck DG and hello to everyone else. I have only skimmed the thread as I have been so busy at work that I haven't had time to read through all the posts.

well, I'm out this month. AF turned up this morning
