Hey girls as we are about to get thrown out of our thread I have started a new one so we can continue manically looking for EWCM, sore (.)(.)s and orange feet whilst chanting 'in with love, out with BFNs'.

Come on over/in

Oh Bucky that's just crazy talk. This could still be your month, you know.

Congratulations on the sore boob, Picknmix. I'm assuming this was without the aid of a hammer, as if you had a hammer, you'd clearly have two sore boobs!

I had a pathetic attempt at a walk cos of non-sleepy tiredness today. Does that count? Actually, don't care, I'm counting it anyway!! Yah boo... yawn...

digitalgirl · 07/10/2007 21:17

yeah bucky that's flim-flam (as the politicans call it). I have had nooo symptoms. Have stuck my thumbs into both nips and it doesn't hurt at all. No sore (.)(.)s no cramps. It's not looking hopeful.

picknmix good luck with the boob.

Lesbian SIL has announced civil partnership ceremony date for next Aug. Am secretly hoping to be holding a little baby by then!

Bucky2007 · 07/10/2007 21:20

I didn't have any symptoms when I got pg before dg. I hate to make reference to it though because I don't actually have a baby now, so I am not sure if I am a good point of reference. But all the same, I was pg and I did not have symptoms (apart from implantation bleed and my tits grew and eventually just before mc tits hurt a little).

OP posts:
Bucky2007 · 07/10/2007 21:21

The (.)(.) symptom was at 9.5wks though!

OP posts:
Excitable · 07/10/2007 22:40

And TwighlightSurfer said she didn't have any symptoms either or was that DebinAustria? Not sure, but it was one of them.

Listen to Excitable tonight's voice of reason - now you know the world has gone mad!

PicknMix · 07/10/2007 23:03

I didn't have any symptoms last time either (and like you Bucky it didn't stick ) but about a week after I found out (and the week I mc'ed) my boobs suddenly felt like someone had been at them with a hammer and some sandpaper.

Needless to say, this month I am trying to only pick up on definite signs and sore boobs is one of them (can't make them up, the pain is real!! ).

DG I'm feeling really positive for you this month with or without Symptoms....

Bucky you silly - we'll have none of that negative thinking in here. This could still be your month - infact, you could be the one leaving all of us to join the dizzy heights of the antenatal threads!!!

madoldbird · 08/10/2007 09:34

Can i squeeze in the "desperately hopeful" corner, if there's room? I've got a flask of tea, (and some fruitcake that i made at the weekend)

Really obsessing over symptoms now. I have tender, tingling boobs, nausea (to the extent that i (and this is disgusting i know) bought up mouthfuls of bile on sat and sun morning. I know that i have had symptoms like this in the past with bad PMT, and AF isn't due until next friday / saturday, but after all, we are in the desperately hopeful corner, aren't we?!

And when to start testing?? I think wed is the soonest that anything would be picked up. Is it just me, or does everyone drive for miles to buy tests in shops where they won't be recognised?

How is everyone else doing today?

digitalgirl · 08/10/2007 10:00

feel 'weird' today. i know it's pyschosomatic.

madoldbird yep, that does sound disgusting...but I would give anything to have a reassuring symptom!

got through this morning without testing, have a busy week ahead so hopefully it should fly by.

dg x

digitalgirl · 08/10/2007 14:47

where are you ladies?

I've just been asked to meet for a secret lunch for a secret job offer. Has anyone ever changed jobs while TTC? Am quite happy where I am, especially as it seems to be picking up. But I'm still only working as freelance so there's no sick pay, holiday pay or benefits (am saving for maternity leave). I could certainly be made an offer.

Excitable · 08/10/2007 14:47

But DG, you're on CD 31!! Aren't you late already? Can't you get to a chemist at the weekend.

Your patience must be never ending! I'm inspired! My cycle is due to end on Wed (that will be CD28) and you've inspired me to wait this week. I'll see if I can hold out until Fri at least.

digitalgirl · 08/10/2007 14:52

excitable have a packet of Clearblue Digitals waiting for me in the bathroom cabinet. I'm just worried that a BFN will throw me off course this week, hence waiting for the weekend. If I'm not working on Friday I may test then...I only ov'ed last weekend so I'm trying to wait till I'm 14dpo in case AF turns up.

pixie04 · 08/10/2007 15:56

Hello!

Been off MN all weekend haven't had the chance to read the posts yet sorry just wanted to say hi

I'm now 12 DPO and no symptoms whatsoever which is a little strange considering I should be due on very soon. I had some cramping at about 5 - 7 DPO but it subsided, was quiet emotional last night but that's no longer unusual so am now on knicker watch until Saturday when I will test.

Quick question ... the period between ovulation and your AF is normally 12 - 14 is that right?

Excitable · 08/10/2007 16:14

Hi Pixie I think you're right - surely it's nearly testing time for you?

I am too tight to test until Friday - I have decided. Women have been doing this for free for hundreds of years so I'm off to give myself a stern talking to so I don't test until then, in a schoolmarm stylee...

But I want everyone else to test, as our ttc thread needs a bfp and there's loads of you ahead of me in your cycles!

digitalgirl · 08/10/2007 16:16

pixie yes it's 'normally' 12-14 days. But who's normal? If you've not had AF by Saturday then it's looking VERY likely for you!

I think I'm coming down with something, which would explain 'weird' feeling this morning. Have got swollen glands, neckache and have bought a scarf from M&S to wear in the office. Does being ill increase the risk of MC?

pixie04 · 08/10/2007 17:42

excitable I know what you mean about waiting to test that's why I'm holding off, I am so sick of the BFN's (although I do have three hpts waiting )

digitalgirl How many DPO are you? I haven't heard that illness can increase your risk of MC unless its something quiet serious. But.... I have heard that when you concieve your body lowers its immune system so that the baby doesn't get rejected so therefore you'd be much more suseptable to cold's and flu's, infact a lot of women who aren't ttc but fall pregnant say they thought they just had a cold so I'd call that a symptom!

I think I'm 12 DPO I could be a little out and I may be 11 DPO so I figure if I haven't come on by Saturday morning I will be 16/17 DPO so must get a BFP by then surley.

I have noticed that my boobs are bigger but apart from a little nipple pain after OV they really aren't sore at all. But I can really tell the difference, I'm normally quiet small in that area but I have cleavage in a bra that I normal have a big inch wide gap in! Of course this is also quiet likley to be an AF sign so we'll have to wait and see.

PicknMix · 08/10/2007 19:01

Pixie am loving your reasoning about the cold/lower immune system - I have a really sore throat, feel hot and cold all the time (basically I have a cold) but now I shall assume it is Symptom No.2! So along with my 1 sore boob, I now have a sore throat to add to the list....!

Sounds like Friday/Saturday could be a 'testing' time for some of you (geddit?!, sorry looooong day at work). Have my fingers crossed for all of you

Not sure when I'll test. Thinking of waiting til 14dpo (which is Sunday) but then think don't really want to see a BFN so may wait until cd35 which is the 19th Oct.....sooooo far away!!!

Bucky2007 · 08/10/2007 19:15

Yay digitalgirl I would say illness is a symptom. I concur with Pixie I got ill right before I missed AF!!! Same explanation, your immune system is lower to prevent rejection. Looking good girlie

Hey Pixie where'd you go?? I kept looking at the October thread and wondering when you will be testing.

Hello Excitable and Madoldbird.

NOW....i have news. First day of OPK testing...and turns up on the stick!! So not sure what the EWCM was?? . Cheap round too, so now have six sticks left for next month. DP got 'the text' today saying to be up for it (excuse the pun) and not to drink beer.

Also, I went on a management course today, which was supposed to train me in how to make my teams high performance. Instead I now have a complex that I am a hard nosed, bossy cow who doesn't listen to peoples views (basically what my test results said). I do have positive points as well obviously... but still I am officially a Monica control freak who is a, and I quote, a 'thruster organiser'. Even DP quivered in a corner when I demanded to know if this was true, if I was in fact evil incarnate. He ran away and shouted from upstairs that sometimes I can be a bit scary but obviously overall I was fab or he wouldn't love me. . So...all good then, well I 'm not interested in what he has to say anyway, we'll be doing it my way or no way (bucky is being sarcastic).

HI PicknMix, cross posted and didn't see you.

OP posts:
PicknMix · 08/10/2007 19:35

Hi Bucky! Lets face it, if we didn't have some balls at work then nothing would ever get done, eh??! I once earnt the title 'Little Hitler' (the little part was referring to my 5'4" height, not that I was just a little bit Hitler'esque!!!)

Congrats on the on your opk - sounds like the ewcm earlier on was just a warm up! Good thing you bought the opks, nice also that it happened so quickly for you (less waiting around, as I'm sure a 'thruster organiser' isn't very good at being patient!!!

digitalgirl · 08/10/2007 21:53

Just back from dinner with the girls - and momentarily forgot I was ill from all the laughing! DH is eating smelly food on the sofa next me and it has reminded me that I am ill. Will be having an early night.

Hooray for the bucky lucky you with your cheap round!!

pixie I'm 10dpo tomorrow, so a few more days to go...but am liking the illness is a symptom theory, I don't normally get ill.

picknmix we can be ill symptom spotters together!

debinaustria · 08/10/2007 22:44

Hello everyone, just popped in to see you, I didn't have any symptoms really until I got the BFP and then they started, then stopped. I did another test and all still OK at the moment. The only thing at the moment is I'm more tired than usual and my boobs are also increasing in size. Sickness hasn't really started yet - one weird thing is that I don't want to eat chocolate - how weird is that??

Now I had ewcm on cd8, 9, 10 so I though that was it - ov, but according to my temps I didn't ovulate until cd 14 . Thought that might help some of you.

Deb

Bucky2007 · 09/10/2007 06:41

Well so far I am exactly the same then Deb lets hope it carries on that way and I get the same result as you!

OP posts:
PicknMix · 09/10/2007 06:57

Hiya Deb how are you doing? Thanks for the liberal sprinkling of dust!!! Off your chocolate??? Pregnancy does crazy stuff doesn't it!! If you're so tired how come you were still up last night - hope everything is ok?

DG how are you feeling this a.m my fellow sicky symptom spotter ??

I think my temps showed a dip yesterday and then are right back up again today, higher than before. Don't want to get too excited as there's no proof in this but read up on it and it could have been an 'implantation dip'. Of course it could also just have been a dip, plain and simple with no reason to it

Hope everyone has a lovely day today x

debinaustria · 09/10/2007 07:25

Hi Bucky and Picknmix

Bucky - fingers crossed for you then!!

Picknmix - I was up so late because we got a weird e-mail saying they'd seen our place advertised in the Flybe in flight magazine, and until then we didn't even know we were in it! So I was doing a bit of detective work about that - and answering the query.Let's hope lots more people read it and want to book for this winter!!

Struggling this morning though, didn't get to sleep until 1.00 and up with the boys at 6.45.Will definitely need my afternoon nap!

Deb

pixie04 · 09/10/2007 08:46

Ooo Debs you poor bugger. I didn't get to bed till 1am as I was working and had to get up at 6.15 this AM and I am KNACKERED! Don't know how your doing it you make sure you get that afternoon nap. Debs you said your boobs are increasing in size... Do they hurt? Mine are quiet a bit bigger but no pain whatsoever and am starting to think its just pre AF.

Bucky I'm 13 DPO but am holding out until Saturday to test .... here is my logic.... tomorrow I will be 14 DPO and due on so I won't acctually be late until Thursday (thats if I am late of course) and I don't want to do a test on a work day morning because, well, I'll be over the moon and unable to hide it from my colleagues and I don't want to tell them. Also I want DP to be there and we work various shifts so we won't both be off until Saturday.

DG I'm going to join you on the illness symptom. Could be the change in weather but I've got a sore throat.

Am now 13 DPO and boobs are swollen but not sore, am tired but had a late night, I have a sore throat and am feeling crampy. I think I prob missed the boat around OV and I do think AF could be on the way but I am still hoping
