BFP at just 6 DPO on FRER?

Frogspawn20 · 30/06/2020 08:51

Hey 👋

Has anyone ever got a BFP at 6 DPO on FRER? TTC #2 and am at most 6 DPO. POAS this morning and a faint pink line came up - I have attached a photo, but it is definitely there in real life, I'm absolutely not imagining it as I usually do Grin

I got my BFP on FRER with DS at 9 DPO, but have never known such an early one. Any other experiences?

(It came up within 3 mins and is definitely pink irl. Could still be an evap I suppose though).

I can see it! Looks pink! Congratulations xx

Frogspawn20 · 01/07/2020 09:34

A definite BFN today at 7DPO. I will put yesterday's faint line down to being just one of those weird things that happen during TTC!

@Frogspawn20 I had a very very faint line yesterday on a frer and today nothing! Isn’t it so disappointing Sad

I always swore by these tests but now I’m beginning to wonder. I’ve had chemicals before and they don’t disappear so quickly from a faint to zero the day after they usually get fainter gradually. Not so sure about first response any more. Good luck on your ttc journey xx

Frogspawn20 · 01/07/2020 17:31

@mattsmama you know, I've been thinking the same. We've been TTC for just 3 months and have had a random faint line every one of those months. I think I will give up with FRER once I've used up my stash 🙂

Agree with the FRERs giving faint lines . X

Frogspawn20 · 04/07/2020 07:51

The plot thickens! I got the faint line above on day 5/6 DPO. BFNs on days 6/7, 7/8 and 8/9 DPO. Today I am 9/10 DPO and have got two faint lines on two FRER.

Just updating so that any future searchers can find out how the story ends!

Ahh amazing . Are the lines bfp’s ?

Mrschips07 · 04/07/2020 09:02

I can definitely see the line on the first test. Frer have been dreadful recently for faint lines tho, I wouldn't trust them atm!

Good luck OP

Frogspawn20 · 04/07/2020 09:08

@fizzyblush I think so - the ones I got this morning look like the first lines I got with DS. But I've had a couple of chemicals the past couple of months so I'll just have to see how this one ends up.

Frogspawn20 · 04/07/2020 09:19

@Mrschips07 I completely agree - you can even see a faint line on FRERs that haven't been peed on! I can only think that my 5/6 DPO line was a fake one. I have more faith that the two this morning are real BFPs albeit it very faint.

@Frogspawn20 very interesting! I do hope it’s a BFP for you Smile. Can I ask did the line come up straight away? It’s just that I did another yesterday after getting nothing the previous day and got another faint line (super faint!) but it was after around 5 minutes. I’m just wondering what the heck’s going on Sad Not holding hope out for a pregnancy as it seems if anything mine will be another chemical but I’m not sure when I ovulated or when af is due at all as cycles have been a bit erratic

Please keep us updated and lots of luck to you SmileSmile xx

Frogspawn20 · 04/07/2020 11:06

@MATTSMAMMA Both of the lines came up within 3 mins.

Taking them with a massive pinch of salt though, a) because they are FRER (my love affair with those is well and truly over) and b) I Unfortunately know from recent and past experience that a BFP really doesn't mean that much in terms of ending up with an actual baby anyway.

But, it's nice to have something to look at rather than a completely blank space!

I've had awful lines on frer this past week, currently 12 dpo, tested at 10dpo and definitely a line (and slightly pink), but bfn yesterday and today. So disheartened, after a chemical last month I was really hoping it would happen this time but now I think I've lost all hope, af due Monday so we'll see!

MATTSMAMMA · 04/07/2020 15:57

@Klc11066 know the feeling - I’ve been so up and down this week. I get annoyed with myself but it’s so hard not to get a little bit excited. The feeling when that line is no longer there is just soul destroying Sad

I really don’t know what is happening with first response. They used to be the best by far but definitely something is not the same with them. Good luck xx

Klc11066 · 04/07/2020 17:26

Its really awful isn't it, I hate it. I used first response last month and they were spot on, I tested to make sure all the hcg was out of my system and it was stark white, no hint of a line.
Then this month I'm seeing lines but they're clearly not positives!! Its driving me mad.
Only difference is I bought this months first response off amazon, and last months I got in Morrisons, maybe theres a bad batch being sold online?

Good luck to you too lovely xx

Babybean1216 · 04/07/2020 17:46

@Frogspawn20 I hope it turns out positive for u can be so annoying waiting and seeing lines that might not be there I definitely saw a small hint of a line in 1st pic

Mrschips07 · 04/07/2020 17:46

@Klc11066 I got all my faint positive ones from Amazon too - wondered the same thing.

Klc11066 · 04/07/2020 18:35

@mrschips07 I read the reviews on there and some people are saying the same thing, it's so wrong if that's the case, causes so much unnecessary upset xx

wannabemummy123 · 05/07/2020 01:16

Ohhhh I can deffo see more now on the second pic !!

MATTSMAMMA · 05/07/2020 01:25

I wondered the very same thing about the Amazon ones! That’s where I’ve bought all mine recently- too much of a coincidence don’t you think? Hmm

Frogspawn20 · 05/07/2020 06:14

@MATTSMAMMA mine are from a business called Homehealth-UK on EBay...probably the same issue as the Amazon ones. They worked out to be £3.20 per test...too good to be true I think. Am going to use up all the remaining ones this cycle and won't bother with them again.

When I had my MMC and I spent more money than I would like to admit on HPT to check my lowering hCG levels, I bought the freedom strips £1 for two at Tesco. They're actually quite good. As well as the Tesco home kits which are £3.50 for two. I got my first BFP from them. I only had one issue which was two months ago and I had a very faint line, almost invisible so not sure if chemical or issue with the test (if had been in the bathroom cabinet for months so maybe because it was stored too hot) I do buy some of the more expensive ones as well but find when poas mad, the cheaper ones help. I bought some IC last month which showed negative even though I was positive (confirmed with multiple tests) but had a chemical pregnancy for sure so got money back from amazon. I got some other ICs this month which seem to work better as they showed positive this month alongside the other tests. I think it's just a matter of checking reviews really.

Good luck and fingers crossed

Frogspawn20 · 05/07/2020 07:46

BFNs this morning, so no pregnancy here! Better luck next month hopefully.

Sorry to hear @Frogspawn20 had similar happen to me last month, promised myself I would cool it on the testing - it's tough to see bfns.

Baby dust for you for next try Flowers

MATTSMAMMA · 05/07/2020 14:09

@Frogspawn20 sorry to hear that. Same here so have a good idea of how you might be feeling. My boobs aren’t as sore today so I’m expecting AF to arrive anytime soon. Bloody First Response Angry
