Hey girls, as @juno231 pointed out, we were almost at 1,000 messages on our last testing thread, so thought we should set up a new one for anyone that hasn't got their BFP this month. Of course a few of you may still get your positives :)

I'm just going to tag anyone that has posted on the thread in the last 24 hours or so, but please feel free to tag others that I've missed out...

@foreverhopeful67 @BbyBx2 @Muriel84 @Smushty14 @Smiling124 @33Carr @memily @LottieX

Of course this thread is based on a cycle of around 30days, so take the title with a pinch of salt as I'm sure some of us will be testing earlier and some of us later. I seem to be on track for a 33+ day cycle at the mo! xx

Thanks lovelies! It's been very light flowing so far but here's hoping by tomorrow it's picked up.

Took a half day leave at work today as felt very nauseous and light headed, so going for a nap.

MintGreenLife · 22/06/2020 21:56

@ReginaaPhalange AF has been light for me since coming off the pill, first was really light, second a bit heavier which I took to be a step in the right direction 🙈 Hope you're feeling better x

oooo @MintGreenLife I might have to try that tea, sounds good!!!

I was at the hospital most of the day yesterday and it was probably more traumatic than when I had my DS!!! Also realised facemasks are extremely difficult to breathe through in little nurses rooms.
I've had internal ultrasounds, internal exams by the nurse (was about 5 mins but felt like 5 hours!) blood tests etc. everything came back normal and negative. I've sent a very strongly worded email to First Response for giving me false hope, the nurse couldn't believe it when I showed her the pictures.
All my scans were normal although my endometrial lining is slightly on the thicker side at 16mm but this could signal that AF is coming! I do however have a small cyst on my cervix. The nurse said its nothing to worry about though.
So now just waiting for AF. Going to be doing some serious googling today to try and make her arrive!

MintGreenLife · 23/06/2020 09:04

Sorry to hear you've had such an ordeal! That's awful re the first response test and you must feel really upset and disappointed. Hope you can rest today and be kind to yourself? I check my cervix position most days, and I had a small hard lump for a couple of weeks in my last cycle that has gone away now. I've read small cysts on the cervix are quite common, and most women have them without realising as obviously not an everyday thing to check your cervix x

@MintGreenLife thank you :) feeling better today so will be back at work tomorrow!

AF is sooo light it's virtually non existent! Hopefully the floodgates open soon lol

fashu · 24/06/2020 09:47

I hope things are working out better for you now @ReginaaPhalange
Thank you @MintGreenLife

AF has arrived :D very heavy and very painful but I don't really care because now I can start trying again aha!
Literally drank so much ginger tea yesterday, done some yoga and long walk then drank some tumeric in milk.......whichever one it was clearly worked!

MintGreenLife · 24/06/2020 10:18

@ReginaaPhalange glad to hear you're feeling better :) hope you have a good day at work x

@fashu well done for being so positive :) that's how I felt when AF arrived - like it was a new opportunity :) never did AF mean so much before ha. And well done for being proactive! I'm trying to do yoga every morning for an hour first thing, but only managed half an hour this morn as it's already so hot! Hope you can rest up today and be kind to yourself xx

Interesting question- Leakage after DTD- what's normal?

I'm currently in peak fertility and am trying to keep as much as I can 'in there'!! 🤣

Anybody have any tips or tricks they do?

@fashu really good news that you've got the fresh start for the month ahead! Fingers crossed all the things you've been through this month will have been a reset and next cycle is your one 🤞🏻

MintGreenLife · 24/06/2020 12:38

@LottieX 😂😂 this sounds horrible, but I honestly didn't even realise it could actually stay in there after DTD as I used to hate the feeling of it starting to come out so would always rush to the loo within minutes 🙈

I've read mixed stuff on this. On the one hand have read that any that's going to get into your cervix will do within seconds, whereas I've also read you should try staying laid down for 10-15 mins after. Appparently tilting your hips etc is pointless. So I guess maybe just stay laid down for 15 mins to be on the safe side, and don't worry about it if a bit still comes back out 🤷🏻‍♀️ Such a funny thing to talk about 😂

AF is heavy as hell today and the cramps are really bad! Still feel a bit ropey today at work but sure it's just AF draining me!

SmileyT · 24/06/2020 19:57

@LottieX not sure if you've heard of conception cups but they are designed to keep all those swimmers in the pool if you fancy purchasing some ttc swag 😂 another tip is going for positions with deep penetration so it's closer to the cervix but as @MintGreenLife said the 'best' sperm are the ones that can make it to the egg without too much help plus what you see come out is the semen not the sperm if that makes any sense 🙈 x

LottieX · 24/06/2020 22:11

Thanks @SmileyT and @mintgreenlife I'm popping a conception cup in my amazon basket and if AF does arrive next month then I'll try that!

I'm in my three days in a row in this heat and oh my it's so hard not to stick to each other! Bless OH he's doing a great job though mustering some energy from somewhere 😂

What cycle day is everyone on?

MintGreenLife · 24/06/2020 22:40

@LottieX I have been worrying about DTD in this heat 😂 Luckily I'm not in my fertile window yet, but we are generally trying to DTD everyother day. I'm on CD8 at the mo, will start testing with OPKs from Friday I think x

OP posts:
SmileyT · 24/06/2020 22:48

@LottieX are you doing SMEP? Good on OH for keeping us his stamina we had a bit of an issue with it last month so trying to be more casual this month. I'm CD12 so expecting peak tomorrow or Friday 🙌🏾 x

acaciabluebell · 25/06/2020 00:01

@LottieX I wondered the very same thing!!! There's so much that seems to come out of me after DTD I wonder if anything at all is even going up there at all!

Juno231 · 25/06/2020 11:36

@lottiex I hear you, my OH is really struggling with the heat at the best of times, nevermind during FW! Yesterday took ages and he looked so unwell lol.

Ovulating today so will try and squeeze one last try out of him today but am less hopeful... We've managed to DTD 3 times in the run up to OD though so should be covered regardless!

eastcoastgirl · 25/06/2020 13:21

I am so glad someone asked this question! I've wondered about it so often! I always seem to get so much leakage!

I'm on CD17 now, fertile window closed (we are trying SMEP this cycle, and yesterday was our one more try of the 3 days, miss a day, one more go), and well and truly into my two week wait. Driving me crazy already! Period due monday 6th and don't want to test until after then if I can stand to wait.

Feeling so impatient now, I'm fed up of all the faffing with calendars and sticks and just want this frustrating stage to be over! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

LottieX · 26/06/2020 08:50

That was a tough FW this month! Managed to DTD 3/4 days on the lead up to ovulation, so really hoping we caught it this month!

I'm on CD15 now and femometer says to test 5th July which is achievable right!? I say this now but I'll probably be waving the FRER round next week 🤣

@mintgreenlife I'm hoping you're right and the swimmers set off first!

@SmileyT I tried SMEP for the last two cycles with no joy so I've gone for the advice in the impatient women's guide to getting pregnant and having read the stats you're far more likely to conceive on the lead up to OV rather than OV itself. Hopefully give OH a little break now rather than do the +1 day after in SMEP.

SmileyT · 26/06/2020 19:25

@LottieX yeah that makes sense as the best day is 2 days before ovulation I think. Did you focus on the 4days before ovulation then and chilling during ovulation? I do always think if I've predicted ovulation right then the extra day on SMEP isn't really worthwhile as will be like 3 days post ovulation 🤷🏾‍♀️

Hayl6 · 28/06/2020 17:41

I think I'm out this month, I'm in my fertile window but I've been spotting for the past few days which I thought could just be ovulation spotting but it's starting to get a little heavier and cramping today ☹️

Juno231 · 28/06/2020 18:01

@hayl6 that's really odd! Have you had anything out of the ordinary happen with your cycle recently?

Hayl6 · 28/06/2020 18:09

@Juno231 nope, nothing! I'm guessing my cycles just haven't regulated since coming off the pill. Although my last 2 cycles were pretty "normal" for me

Juno231 · 28/06/2020 18:16

@Hayl6 super odd! Keep us posted, maybe it's just a weird ovulation bleed.

@LottieX omg this FW was super tough! Didn't even manage DTD on O-day.

@ForeverHopeful67 how did you FW go?
