Hey girls, as @juno231 pointed out, we were almost at 1,000 messages on our last testing thread, so thought we should set up a new one for anyone that hasn't got their BFP this month. Of course a few of you may still get your positives :)

I'm just going to tag anyone that has posted on the thread in the last 24 hours or so, but please feel free to tag others that I've missed out...

@foreverhopeful67 @BbyBx2 @Muriel84 @Smushty14 @Smiling124 @33Carr @memily @LottieX

Of course this thread is based on a cycle of around 30days, so take the title with a pinch of salt as I'm sure some of us will be testing earlier and some of us later. I seem to be on track for a 33+ day cycle at the mo! xx

@MintGreenLife So AF was due on the Tuesday and on that day and the following 2 days I had this very very light, almost nonexistent bleed. Then the day after that I had a heavy day, but it appeared to be mixed with quite a lot of mucous. I had that for a day, then almost nonexistent the next day. Very strange. I put it down as a AF but I assume it was possibly a heavier implantation bleeding 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s such a guessing game all this! X

MintGreenLife · 18/06/2020 09:38

Ah bless you, I can totally see why you thought that was AF! How funny it started on the same day AF was due. What a lovely surprise though :) haha oh gosh don't even get me started, I basically had no idea what was going on with my body for the entirety of my last cycle, despite endless reading and googling. Feeling positive to be onto cycle 2 though :) x

@MintGreenLife Yeah it was super weird, and I kept getting negatives so just assumed I was out. Very bizarre. I always felt positive moving on to the next cycle as each cycle I learned more and more. I felt prepared with my supplements, thermometer (which I only used like twice to be honest, I always forgot!), OPKs etc. I felt like I could tackle the cycle if that makes sense. I tried to cut back on my googling because it was becoming obsessed. I started doing some yoga and walking more and generally taking care of myself a bit better 😊 x

MintGreenLife · 18/06/2020 09:56

Ah that's funny, I was thinking as of next week I'm going to get up earlier and either do yoga or go for an early dog walk with OH and the pup. I workout most week days, but lockdown has made me a lot more sedentary which probably isn't helping, plus I have far too much time on my hands to google! I've got into a good habit with taking my temp, think I only forgot once last cycle, just found it reassuring to know I actually did ovulate following my third and final LH surge! Everything you did obviously worked :) what's the plan now? Are you going to chill and enjoy it? Think I would find it hard not to start looking at nursery decor on Pinterest ha x

@memily omg what are the odds! congratulations! fingers crossed for a sticky bean in the right place!

@mintgreenlife I think you're right - maybe give it a couple more months before you start adding agnus castus into the mix. I was browsing female hormone tests yesterday, as I was tempted to check if my estrogen levels are low (hence the light/short periods). But then I thought what's the point, GP won't see me until I've been trying for a year and they won't rely on these tests so it will have to be redone anyway so I might as well wait as it doesn't change anything...

MintGreenLife · 18/06/2020 10:25

This is where I get really confused - because a short luteal phase is meant to be linked to low progesterone and an oestrogen dominance, but then like you say low oestrogen is linked to light and short periods, which I have also. Maybe it's best if I just focus on the advice I've read about resetting hormones post pill, rather than using things to specifically treat one problem or the other right now.

I've had a quick look at similar tests. Think maybe it could be worth doing if a few months down the line things still seem out of balance, because at least then you know which supplements to focus on to improve the problem :)

@Juno231 I can never tag the last person to post a message, so annoying

Juno231 · 18/06/2020 11:03

@mintgreenlife yeah that is weird in your case! Thing is if mine comes back with low oestradiol then there's not much I can do I don't think - all the supplements seem to be on the LP/progesterone side of things and nothing on estrogen?

I have a fear of early menopause and low estrogen is certainly a sign of that...

ReginaaPhalange · 18/06/2020 18:05

Still no AF. Last night I had bad cramping but lead to nothing :( CD37 😭

mm26 · 18/06/2020 20:55

@ReginaaPhalange I'm similar. CD35 and nothing! RHR and temp rising but BFNs galore though! I've had a bit of cramping this evening, so hopefully either a BFP or period soon. I just want something to happen so I'm out of limbo!

ReginaaPhalange · 18/06/2020 21:01

@mm26 AF should have buggered off by now and we'd be well on our way TTC for our first cycle!

I've just seen Kate Ferdinand's pregnancy announcement and got myself all sad worrying that that will never happen for me :(

mm26 · 18/06/2020 21:08

@ReginaaPhalange I should be half way through my period currently! It's weird. I'm cramps but don't feel like I'm going to get my period? I've had a few moments today where I was sure I had felt it start and rushed to the loo, but there was nothing!

Aw I'm sure it will happen for you! No one prepares you for how long this all feels just TTC! I've only been at it for 1 cycle properly and let me tell you this has been the longest 35 days ever.

ReginaaPhalange · 18/06/2020 21:15

@mm26 I'm exactly the same as you with thinking it's started and the cramping! It's so frustrating!!!

ReginaaPhalange · 21/06/2020 12:29

I'll not be testing on 11th July :( I'm on CD40 with no clue what's going on :( so looking like I'll be an August tester 🤷🏼‍♀️

mm26 · 21/06/2020 17:48

@ReginaaPhalange my period showed up on Friday! But it's been really light and non-existent today really. So weird!
Have you done a test recently??

ReginaaPhalange · 21/06/2020 17:56

@mm26 we haven't had unprotected sex yet as we were going to start trying this month. I did a test during the week just incandescent but that was negative. Condom hasn't burst as far as we can tell as hubby does check after we've DTD

ReginaaPhalange · 21/06/2020 17:57

@mm26 just in case*

mm26 · 21/06/2020 18:02

@ReginaaPhalange ahh ok. Maybe just a longer cycle, then? Fingers crossed it ends soon and you can get on with things this month! I bought one of the clear blue ovulation kits for this month as I saw they were on sale. Hoping it gives me a clearer picture of when I'm ovulating as I think i was way off last month!

ReginaaPhalange · 21/06/2020 18:13

@mm26 I hope so. I'm normally between 28-31 days so 40 days is unheard of for me :(

Sussexbysea · 21/06/2020 20:34

Hey everyone! Good to see you are all here. I’m not trying for a little while and back on the pill (booooo!!!) I wish you all the best xxx

ReginaaPhalange · 21/06/2020 23:33

UPDATE!!

AF finally showed lol! I actually "woo-hoo" out loud in the bathroom when I saw it 😂😂😂 right! So once she's buggered off, it's time to start TTC for our first month!

I've never been happy to see AF before 🤣🤣🤣

fashu · 22/06/2020 09:20

aha @ReginaaPhalange never thought I would be telling anyone that I'm happy they got AF!
Sorry to hear about your short Luteal phase @MintGreenLife! hope it works itself out this month!

I'm still waiting for AF! Getting extremely frustrated now, I'm on CD48!!! I've got terrible cramps at one point I couldn't move. They come and go, but I am honestly convinced every 30 minutes she's arrived, rush to the toilet and no......
I went for a scan on Friday and they couldn't see anything but now I am being called in for blood tests every few days.....really not looking forward to it.
First response actually seems slightly darker today, but not holding out hope for that, seems a bit late now. Also getting faint positives on clearblue early now, but read online they aren't very reliable......

MintGreenLife · 22/06/2020 10:57

@ReginaaPhalange I did that the first AF I got after coming off the pill! Was so thrilled to see my body seemed to be back on track, although second cycle off totally proved it's not back on track! Here's to this next cycle, and actually we will be testing around the same time all being well :)

@fashu I'm feeling quite positive for this cycle, am doing absolutely everything I can diet and exercise wise and taking all of the supplements that are recommended for a 'post-pill reset'. I also have dandelion root tea arriving today which is meant to be good for helping the liver detox excess oestrogen/hormones to regain hormonal balance, so excited to try that :)

Let us know how you get on with your blood tests, will be keeping my fingers crossed for you xx
