Hi ladies 💕

13dpo today and af is imminent as temp dropped to cover line plus a bfn. So who's joining me?
TTC #1
This will be cycle 13 since mmc (Feb 19) but been TTC since June 2018 so a horribly momentous month for me.

Bought some vitamins recommended by it starts with the egg for this month and also male conception tablets for DH. So we shall see 🤞🏼

Lots of luck and baby dust to everyone 🍀🌈💕

Hi I'm new to mumsnet but not new to TTC AF showed her ugly face this morning so I'm now moving onto month 17 of trying. Really thought this month I would be lucky but obviously not so I'm now in the stage of accepting and trying to be positive for next month! I'm also taking vitamins to help but only 1month in on those and obviously they havent worked yet!
Baby dust to everyone on the June bus! Xx

MrsLBear · 04/05/2020 10:11

Hi @Bubblez2456 sorry that af got you! But welcome to Mumsnet! Are you trying for your first?

Vividdreamer88 · 04/05/2020 10:34

I am in for June. I had a miscarriage in March so June will be my first cycle after that TTC. I had sort of hoped that I might get lucky this month as I’ve been feeling a bit tired and achey but just had a BFN :(

Sorry for you loss @MrsLBear hopefully June will be lucky for all of us 🌈

Bubblez2456 · 04/05/2020 11:26

Yes this will be my first. All my friends have their babies and are now going onto having their second and I'm still struggling with the first! I hit the big 3-0 last year so feeling like time is ticking, even though everyone tells me I'm only young still and have a time. I'm going to go to the doctors for help and advice as soon as things calm down with all the coronovirus stuff so hopefully will find out what's going on then. So sorry for both your losses I can imagine how hard it must be for both of you going through a miscarriage. Fingers crossed at some point 2020 will be lucky for us all! ❤

millionairesshortbread4 · 04/05/2020 11:55

In for June! First time...excited.

Spinningthewheel · 04/05/2020 11:58

I’m in too. Not long off the pill and so no idea when things will start happening, but coming along for the ride and hoping to get lucky.

MrsLBear · 04/05/2020 12:52

So sorry to hear that @Vividdreamer88. Hoping and praying June is our 🌈 month.
How far along were you? Was it your first?

Welcome @millionairesshortbread4 and @Spinningthewheel good luck with the journey!!

Do any of you temp? Or use opks?

@Bubblez2456 there's nothing harder than ppl around you falling pregnant and you're still left behind. But it will happen! I know Covid has made it all so much harder. I was due to have investigations with a gynae but has been cancelled indefinitely. But going to use this time off to give it my all!

OP posts:
Spinningthewheel · 04/05/2020 13:08

Thanks @MrsLBear! Yes I’m temping and opk, but first cycle (maybe not even cycling yet!) so just trying to see if I ovulate and working out what’s normal for me. Sorry to hear about you mmc last year, I had no idea how common they were until I started reading this board. Sounds like a good idea to give the vitamins a try, I’m taking some but hadn’t considered any for DP.

primrosechill · 04/05/2020 13:56

Hello ladies. Would love to join the June bus!!

Currently still going through miscarriage bleeding - it started 12 days ago at exactly 6 weeks, with my first pregnancy. I will wait until AF shows her ugly face at least once when this is done and then we should hopefully start trying sometime in mid June. @MrsLBear and @Vividdreamer88, so sorry to hear that both of you had to suffer through MC as well.

To add to the list of things that are going wrong, I also suffer from vaginismus, so my partner and I are mostly trying through home insemination - it worked once, so fingers crossed it will again! Sprinkling baby dust here and hoping to hear some lovely success stories in just a few weeks' time xxx

nina468 · 04/05/2020 14:29

Hi 👋🏼 same as me...13dpo and temp drop this morning. Put a pad in awaiting the inevitable.
Onwards and upward to month 7!

Missgoldilocks · 04/05/2020 16:20

Hi ladies I'm Ttc number 2 and going into month 10 Ttc. Good luck to all hopefully we get lucky soon. I'm finding it very difficult tbh, doing it at the right time every month, oh has been checked his sperm is fine, I've had bloods done and all fine... I've bought a cup for this month to see if it helps by holding the sperm up there 😂 another lady told me it worked for her...

Spinningthewheel · 04/05/2020 18:03

I’ll be so excited to get a positive opk, will feel like a real achievement after 17 years on the pill.

Sounds like everything is in working order for you @Missgoldilocks so just a numbers game now. Not sure about the cup 😂 I’ll save that one for a few months time!

Missgoldilocks · 04/05/2020 18:43

@spinningthewheel tell me about it! 😂 I bought it and thought, so this is what it has come to... Hahaha. When did you come off the pill?

Spinningthewheel · 04/05/2020 18:57

I don’t blame you, I expect I’ll want to feel like I’m trying something new every cycle. Came off the pill a couple of weeks ago. Had a withdrawal bleed (ish) but otherwise all quiet. How predictable have your cycles been?

Aaj04 · 04/05/2020 18:58

Hello ladies 💕 I'm 12 DPO today and AF is definitely around the corner so I'll be joining your bus! May this month be the one for all of us xx

nina468 · 04/05/2020 19:27

As predicted AF arrived for me a day early! So I'm hopping on board for June! Here's to valentines babies next year hopefully?! 💓

MrsLBear · 04/05/2020 19:38

@Spinningthewheel what opks are you using? Thank you, I know it's mental how common they are and they are so unspoken of in normal day life. I know, it's so much to think about though like your vitamins, his vitamins, temperature etc it's a bloody minefield.
Trying to drink more water too as that supposed to help with fluids... so glam haha.

So sorry to hear you've been through it too @primrosechill. Are you going to try again right away? Oh no, have you always suffered from that?

Hi @nina468 welcome! Mine came midday which is very unusual for me but at least it's started and then can hopefully be over soon. Are you TTC #1?

Hi @Missgoldilocks it's so so hard and so mentally draining as well. Especially when you do hit the nail on the head and it still doesn't happen. Have you got children together? I know I saw that too but not sure if I could use that. I'm a bit "sensitive" and since my mmc I find tampons uncomfortable (sex is fine though but I suppose that's due to arousal - god sorry I'm getting so graphic so soon! 😂).

Welcome @Aaj04 👋🏼

MrsLBear · 04/05/2020 19:40

@nina468 aw would it be valentines babies!! How cute. Oh god I've got to stop I cannot let my mind wander it goes to all the wrong places. I was a day early too this month and last month I was a day late which makes me think even with opks and temp I might be getting my o day slightly wrong.

Those who track - is your lp the same every cycle?

OP posts:
MrsLBear · 04/05/2020 19:40

Sorry @Aaj04 half my message cut off to you!! Wishing you lots of luck this cycle and hopefully af comes quick if it is coming!

CMM20 · 04/05/2020 19:56

Hey, please can I jump on? ☺️ AF is due on Wednesday and then all systems go. Will be our first cycle of trying for our first child. So excited and nervous at the same time. Will be great to have a group to be able to share this with! ❤️

nina468 · 04/05/2020 20:05

Hi @MrsLBear yes baby number 1 for us, this is cycle number 7. What about yourself?

nina468 · 04/05/2020 20:08

@MrsLBear I know why you mean....each month I try not to get carried away but I always think it's also good to stay optimistic!

Spinningthewheel · 04/05/2020 20:13

@MrsLBear just the cheapie one step ones at the moment. So it’s temping, OPKs and general tracking (ie all the glamorous fluids and prodding stuff!) for now. Hoping to keep it to that, but I imagine I’ll have all sorts of superstitions soon enough. Drinking more water sounds like it can only do good.

@CMM20 me too (1st cycle 1st baby). I probably should be more nervous but I’m only thinking as far forward as trying to get pregnant yet, not thinking about the baby!

primrosechill · 04/05/2020 20:13

@MrsLBear yes unfortunately have suffered from vaginismus pretty much forever - I have been able to overcome it partially through therapy and dilators, but sex still hurts a lot at times - so home insemination just takes a bit of the edge off. I also have to say in a strange way it has helped us to separate intimacy/desire from "operational" sex at highest fertility days haha - this way sex never feels like a chore and the home insemination process is sort of a weirdly enjoyable "project" as well.

In terms of trying after miscarriage - I will wait one cycle (waiting for AF to show up in the next 3-4 weeks hopefully) and then go back to it. I just hate not doing anything about it and want to erase the horrible memories, if you know what I mean. You mentioned you miscarried in Feb last year - did you go straight back to ttc afterwards then? How did you find it?

Missgoldilocks · 04/05/2020 20:18

@MrsLBear haha! No worries I'm part of the crazy gang on here and I think we've said it all!! It's weird isn't it 😂 I can't use tampons but sex is fine! I must put them in wrong 😅. I have a nearly 9 year old son! Not with him he has no kids... I had the copper coil for 6 years so my body shouldn't even be readjusting after hormones. Yes it's so mentally draining and me and my OH relationship and sex life has really been strained which is just horrid, but it's hard not to when you have the pressure of having multiple sex sessions over 5 days (we aren't a manic sex couple)
Have you any kids? How long have you been trying?

@spinningthewheel my cycles are 👌 28 day cycles and ovulate every month on cd15! Trust me, I literally take 7 tablets a day different vitamins 😂 I shove them down my OH too, I do opks I temp etc god I've done it all. I need to relax though easier than done because I have been so stressed out since the beginning of it all. Hoping to get my tubs looked at as soon as this pandemic is over.
