Hi ladies 💕

13dpo today and af is imminent as temp dropped to cover line plus a bfn. So who's joining me?
TTC #1
This will be cycle 13 since mmc (Feb 19) but been TTC since June 2018 so a horribly momentous month for me.

Bought some vitamins recommended by it starts with the egg for this month and also male conception tablets for DH. So we shall see 🤞🏼

Lots of luck and baby dust to everyone 🍀🌈💕

@SmileyT I started on day 8, early I know! Since coming off the pill I’d had two cycles at 39/38 days so I was expecting a long cycle last time around but I got a static smiley on CD19 last month and my cycle ended up being 28 days 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m holding out hope that I’ll get my peak tomorrow 🤞🏻. We’ve DTD pretty much every other day and we’ll go again in the morning 😂 I’m only using CB at the moment too so I don’t know whether another method would've told me anything different.

SmileyT · 23/05/2020 01:08

@Bear127 If you do have a 38 day cycle this time you still have plenty of time. Hang in there, I'm confident you will get your static face or at least you'll have yourself well covered with having sex every other day 👌🏾 x

Morning ladies, 4DPO here and nothing very exciting going on except for having a horrific wave of nausea last night, for only about 20 mins. Obviously nothing to do with TTC but noted it anyway!

Jaysus. I thought I was a milk chocolate kind of a gal before reading this chat, but now I'm thinking I'd barely even make the cut for vanilla, more like a room temperature glass of skim milk 🥛😂😂

Considering we have young kids, a busy business, and a hectic social life, I think DH and I have a good sex life. Nowhere near what it seems others here have, but we are both happy and satisfied I'm cool with that. Will be getting a bullet and perhaps put more effort into the lingerie etc from here in, after you've all opened my eyes to the joys!
Ain't nobody going near my arsehole though, like ever. (I have a permanent drain coming out of there so have an excellent excuse).

For those of you discussing contraception ideas for down the track, I totally agree after coming off contraception a while back there's no way I'd return to pills/implant etc... HOWEVER, pleeease don't just rely on natural cycle avoidance and especially withdrawal. A TTC forum is not the appropriate place for me to go into detail, but I'm telling you from experience that withdrawal does NOT always work. I have had an 'oopsy daisies' with my husband using that technique when we 100% were not in a position to have a baby. Just felt the need to warn you all that pre-cum does indeed have vibrant swimmers in it.

Sorry long catch up from me again! My once a day check in 😜😃😃

Oh shit we won't make it to the end of today without a new thread!

50 shades of TTC (June bus part 2) www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3917241-50-shades-of-ttc-june-bus-part-2

@Skip86 I totally agree that the avoidance/ withdrawal method is not 100% when I got pregnant this year it was totally unplanned and I had been tracking my periods (no ovulations tests tbf) and basically used withdrawal for the 2nd week of each cycle. It was a nice surprise for us, until the MC but if another child is off the cards then I'd definitely go for condoms/ complete avoidance during fertile week in the future. When will you be testing?

lucyrp · 23/05/2020 07:30

@SmileyT @Skip86 Just to add to this Contraception conversation it definitely does not work pulling out as OH and I have been pregnant before also but like you said 100% not in the correct place to have a baby. And how easy is getting pregnant when you're not actually ready for one! And when you're ready the little blighters don't want to catch!
I was tempted to try the patch as contraception has anyone used that before and any feedback on it ??

lucyrp · 23/05/2020 07:30

I have also introduced myself over on the new bus!

TTCgee · 23/05/2020 08:02

I've jumped over to the new thread too xx

Cocoblue22 · 23/05/2020 08:27

@lucyrp it’s because the internet monitors what you look at! Especially Facebook they look at everything you search so then it pops up in your ads! You can turn it off though in settings on Facebook! X

Cocoblue22 · 23/05/2020 08:34

@OnNaturesCourse the nhs Squeezy app is really good for doing pelvic floors it gives you reminders and you can change settings for how long to hold etc! I was told to use it after DS1 did some serious damage during birth (seriously thought I’d never recover but now I’m all good with a designer vagina courtesy of our lovely nhs!!) needless to say I’m down for an elective c sec next time! But that app is good.

@lucyrp to do them imagine stopping the flow when you pee but don’t tense your bum or abs. You should also do them in different positions sitting lying down standing is the hardest! I was really good at doing them in the first year post birth but been a bit rubbish lately need to get my app out of hibernation and crack on with them!!! (Having pelvic floor physio post birth is definitely not what anyone warns you about....lying there with the physios finger up there and her asking you to squeeze and hold never in a million years did I foresee those appointments) X

lucyrp · 23/05/2020 08:39

@Cocoblue22 I think I've got it turned off on Facebook already. Mad isn't it!

Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm doing them right but how long are you supposed to hold etc 🙈I feel like I'm not taking them seriously enough and always forget to do them! I have just purchased some kegel balls tho so they may help!

Cocoblue22 · 23/05/2020 08:47

@lucyrp you need to do three sets a day of:
Ten 1sec squeezes with 1 sec rest

And 10 10s squeezes with 4/5 sec rest however this takes time to build up to and best to start with what you can do and build up I think post birth because of the damage I was doing
10x 3Sec holds with 5 sec rests but built up over time like any exercise as my muscles got stronger and I healed.
That’s why that app is good it times it for you and there’s a visual circle to help you focus on squeezing it was 2.99 I think from App Store deffo worth the money x

lucyrp · 23/05/2020 09:00

@Cocoblue22 oooo I've just downloaded it ! I always find the quick ones so much easier than the long ones as you can actually feel it more in the quick ones!

I'm currently trying to eat a salted caramel twix from my bedside table without waking DP (he is working nights) because I can't face him waking up to me eating chocolate when I keep telling him I want to go on a diet 😂😂

JosieF95 · 10/06/2020 19:17
