Hi all,

I joined a similar thread last month and found it really supportive. It’d be great to hear from others.

We’ve been trying for number 2 for two years now and each month gets more emotionally difficult. Xx

Hey Ladies,

Congratulations to all the BFPs and as always baby dust to all testing in a few days and weeks.

Feeling emotionally drained. My MIL had a phone call from her old neighbour 😑 like everyone usually does- asking if there's any news regarding me being preggers.

I would have thought by now it wouldn't really affect me and I haven't told anyone about my struggles to conceive apart from my husband as I don't want anyone to pity me or look at me like I'm the motherless wife who can't give my in laws a grandchild.

Had a good cry to myself- words do cut deep especially going through this emotional roller coaster of hope, luck and miracle. Really I just want to scream FUCK OFF YOU TWATS.

Still have the same symptoms as yesterday (I slept for 14 hours) so not as tired but still feeling like I can deffo crawl back to bed haha.

As always I am thankful for this group, it's kept me sane and I'm grateful for all the advice and stories on here xx

Good luck to you all!
Currently 8dpo testing over the weekend 🙏

Skyla01 · 13/05/2020 16:42

@CaramelTart23 that's rubbish- it's the last thing we all need to hear and more pressure :( But fingers crossed we'll all have some good news to deliver soon!

After being fairly chilled I'm struggling a bit now. I'm at least 11dpo, maybe more. Every time I feel the slightest sensation in my lower stomach i worry it might be af cramps. I hate this part of the cycle!

Sussexbysea · 13/05/2020 16:48

@CaramelTart23 sorry, people can be knobs can’t they? I hate it when people ask me at work, I feel like punching them in the face sometimes.

Keep smiling, I can imagine how tough it can be. X

OP posts:
CaramelTart23 · 13/05/2020 18:39

@Sussexbysea haha that's exactly how I feel- a good punch ought to teach them.

How are you holding up? X

CaramelTart23 · 13/05/2020 18:47

@Skyla01 fingers and toes crossed!! 🤞🏼

I think its extremely frustrating when family members hear about so and so's pregnancy news and immediately all eyes are glued on me 😑 I try to avoid being in situations where the topic doesn't crop up in a conversation. Till this day it's just awkward nodding and fake smiles.

☺️ praying that the cramps are implantation for you... gosh it's so hard knowing what to look out for 😩😭

I'm just soooo happy that I've been furloughed I've got every opportunity to eat well and dtd more often!

Seems like this virus has been a blessing in disguise in some odd kind of way lol x

Cloudrainbow · 13/05/2020 18:57

Hi everyone new on here , I started my own thread but wanted to say hi as I’m 9dpo and got bfn and period pains (get every cycle for week b4 AF) depressing! I get the most questions from guys at work asking when I’m trying for no 2 - I find it so odd , feel like they are asking me about my sex life or something , it’s just way too personal and intimate . I really don’t think people realise how hurtful they are being . I’ve had 3 mcs and feel like telling them how shit they make me feel asking these dumb ass questions . Any way rant over . Just wanted to share your pain Caramel x

lucymagoo · 13/05/2020 19:03

Awh @CaramelTart23 I'm so sorry you're going through that. It sounds stressful and frustrating. I wish people would learn not to ask about these things, talking to the neighbours about it is SO unnecessary!

Sussexbysea · 13/05/2020 19:30

@CaramelTart23 I’m good thanks. I’ve been furloughed too but I’ve got a 3 year old to keep me occupied.

She keeps me distracted from symptom checking every minute

Hey everyone! Just thought I'd say hello. This is my first proper month of TTC (knowing when I ovulate was a good start!) and it's so typical that this months AF was an odd one. I started bleeding 4 days early, really light (didn't need a pad at all, when usually I'm really heavy) Have done 3 tests now and BFN . I assume my body just decided this is a good time to mess with my periods!

CaramelTart23 · 13/05/2020 23:37

@Cloudrainbow oh bugger I tried to post a lengthy reply to you but for some reason it hasn't posted on the thread.

I was just saying how I totally understand when it comes to other people's noses poking into a sensitive topic such as this. It's frustrating and annoying when people only see the 'brighter' side of pregnancy and a new bundle of joy. But what happens between conception and birth is something that isn't widely spoken about especially with family members.

The struggles we all face, it's quite hard for me personally to say anything to anyone who isn't my husband.

But I totally find comfort in group threads like this and I hope you can comfortable vent out and talk about anything here!

Ughg I have been getting cramps just these past few hours and it's very hard to tell if it's pre AF cramps or implantation.

Maybe try a bubble bath and drink plenty of water! During conception our bodies need water and a good healthy diet as our organs are working twice as hard.

I would say don't worry too much but I know how annoying and cliche it sounds haha.

See how the night goes and analyse any changes tomorrow x

CaramelTart23 · 13/05/2020 23:38

Comfortably**

CaramelTart23 · 13/05/2020 23:44

Ladies can you recommend me any hot drinks to sip on to help me calm my nerves and cramps? X

rainbownugget28 · 14/05/2020 06:16

Hey girls,
Please could I join the chat? I've been following since the beginning but too scared to say hi in case I jinxed my chances.
Congratulations on all the BFP already and sending lots of baby dust for next month for those that need it Smile
This is our second month of trying for baby number two! Our beautiful son is 14months old. My period was due yesterday so I've just taken the test!!
I think deep down I knew, I was feeling exhausted and the smell of bananas made me feel sick (had this very early on last time)
Just need my husband to wake him now so I can show him!

Morning everyone!

11dpo today and after getting a faint bfp yesterday (10dpo) and an even fainter squinter on 8dpo, I was anxious to see the line get darker (read way too much about CPs!)

The line was definitely darker so I took a digi test which came back with a big confident "Pregnant"!

Tried SMEP and pre-seed this month, and ate pineapple core during the TWW. So so excited and nervous at the same time!

Good luck to everybody else waiting for your bfps!

Morning All!! Well, that's me out of this month. Tested this morning to receive a huge BFN. Pissed off!! I'm going to eat Nutella on toast and have a glass of wine in a tea cup (jokes).

OP posts:
TTCgee · 14/05/2020 08:07

Huge congrats to you both with those BFPs how exciting!!

@HopeWish do you mind me asking how long you'd been trying before hand? I've got preeseed this month for the first time too! Hoping it makes the difference xxx

Skyla01 · 14/05/2020 08:42

@rainbownugget28 that's amazing! Congrats, a lovely line. I know what you mean about jinxing things. I'm sure your DP will be delighted.

@HopeWish congratulations too- great to see on a digital as well. No wonder you feel nerves and excitement.

@deeleigh that's just typical when you most want a predictable cycle. Hope it settles down too.

@CaramelTart23 try raspberry leaf tea. This cycle I drank it during follicular phase every day. It's Meant to strengthen the uterus. Also good for period cramps. I've Had the odd cup in the tww, although I read if you have too much it can interfere with implantation (although that's probably not true, just an old wives tale). I got mine from clipper.

@Sussexbysea really sorry to hear about BFN. Nutella sounds like a great treat. Last few visits my supermarket has been sold out of it. I love the stuff but try not to buy it very often.

Still no AF for me. I'll test tomorrow. Had a crap sleep last night lying awake thinking about it. Pretty sure AF is late so I really hope this isn't some horrible trick my body is playing!

BbyBx2 · 14/05/2020 08:45

Congratulations those with BFP!!

@Sussexbysea how many dpo ovulation are you? When is your AF due? Just wondering if maybe you could test again in couple of days?

raspberryjamlove · 14/05/2020 08:45

More BFPs so lovely to see Smile

Wish I had my own this month but unfortunately af had arrived and I'm out. Was so sure this was my month :( will be taking a break for a week from MN then will see some of you on next months board!

Xx

Skyla01 · 14/05/2020 08:47

@raspberryjamlove I'm sorry, treat yourself to something nice. Having a break from here sounds like a good idea to. Come back once you are nearer FW though!

HopeWish · 14/05/2020 08:49

@TTCgee

Hi!

We have been trying since Mid-February (this was cycle 3). I was tracking with OPKs but we never really managed to DTD very much around fertile days so I decided to try SMEP this cycle.

I'm pretty sure that this pregnancy is down to following the SMEP, but the pre-seed may have helped. I only actually used it twice as I found it a bit of a mood killer when I had to go to the bathroom and inject it!

Fingers crossed for you xx

Sussexbysea · 14/05/2020 09:03

@BbyBx2 13/14 DPO. My period is here too so I’m out out.

Sussexbysea · 14/05/2020 10:16

@Bbybx2 thank you. Hopefully the specialist at the hospital can help me in a few weeks when sorting out my thyroid
