Hi all,

I joined a similar thread last month and found it really supportive. It’d be great to hear from others.

We’ve been trying for number 2 for two years now and each month gets more emotionally difficult. Xx

@BbyBx2 best of luck to you! 🤞✨

Hi everyone sorry to jump on this post!
I ovulated I think on the 4th of May (currently 9dpo) this is my first month TTC baby #2 and I’ve tested the last 2 days with extremely faint results so much so that I’m just deeming them as negative to be honest(pic attached). I am just here to moan really because honestly I thought I would be so much more chilled this time around and if anything I’m so much worse! I caught pregnant the first month with my DS and I feel like maybe that was all just a fluke and its bound not to happen again so easily this time! I know I shouldn’t be testing this early but I can’t help it I feel like I’m becoming obsessive with it! I’ve done one blue dye test on 7dpo and then 2 red dye cheap strip tests on 8dpo and they’re all coming up with a weird barely there line where I feel like I get a headache trying to look for it. Then I did another strip this morning with FMU and it didn’t do anything so god knows! I don’t necessarily trust FMU either because when I was pregnant with my son I got a super strong line at 8pm 12dpo and the next day At 13dpo with FMU it was really faint and then I was terrified I was loosing the pregnancy! I know full well I need to just wait until my expected period date now to test again which is still a few days away (18/05) . I’m going crazy over here someone please help me feel better Confused (pic attached of weird unreadable results that are driving me insane) haha! Thank you all so much! And I am wishing you all the best x

Big fat nothing on a FRER this morning and the familiar feeling that AF will be here any day. Ahh well, I shall get drunk this weekend and reset! Good luck to everyone else!

Sussexbysea · 13/05/2020 08:35

@tetebeche you can’t make it up can you? I normally pee on a stick a then period arrives.

I’m going to set up a thread for next month so please feel free to join that too

@Sussexbysea @SmileyT The problem is I'm not sure anymore if I really am late or not. My cycles can go from 27-33 days and my method for detecting ovulation was only my CM. Since I had brown spotting right around then I figured that was it, but when I had pink spotting on May 2nd was exactly CD 18, the same day flo predicted ovulation on my only recorded 33day cycle. So at this point I'm just confused all around, but I did take a midday test after work yesterday and got a negative. I thought maybe something might show if I'd slept long enough, but woke up after 4hrs, so I'll check tomorrow morning. But hey, the cramps left so that's good, and if AF isn't here by Monday then I'll be late no matter what.

SewingAddict419 · 13/05/2020 08:41

@Skyla01 lol not trying to be suspenseful at all, just not even sure what my dpo is anymore 😅

LynzP85 · 13/05/2020 08:45

@MrsDh2019 I hear you on the first pregnancy, I too got pregnant first month of trying and only DTD once.... I put it down to being on holiday and being relaxed but it made TTC more of a journey this time!
I had 3 cycle at the end of 2019 where we tried, and I got pregnant in December but sadly had a miscarriage on New Years Day. This year I've tried twice and I got a BFP at the end of last week at DPO on those strip tests - again like you faint!

I've since done a further test and got a stronger line... so fingers crossed the same happens for you!

I had to adjust my mindset though and say I was going to take 6 months to get pregnant so I didn't expect month one again and feel disappointed - hard to do though.

Here are my two tests - strip test from last Friday at DPO 10 and then the FR yesterday.

Sending baby dust .....

@mrs I can definitely see lines on the strip tests!

MrsDh2019 · 13/05/2020 09:01

@LynzP85 thank you for your reply! I’m so sorry for your loss! I have also just tried to stick to the mindset that it may realistically take longer this time around as I was just so lucky last time. I suppose when you’ve just got pregnant alot easier first time it doesn’t seem to register in your head that having unprotected sex won’t lead to a baby?!? Hmm the human body baffles me! I do have a few strip tests left and also a box of 2 FRER which I used with my son so I may just wait another few days and try again. It honestly makes me feel crazy just doing test after test but I can’t help it! X

MrsDh2019 · 13/05/2020 09:02

@kirinm thank you at least I feel like I’m not seeing things just because I want to Grin x

lucymagoo · 13/05/2020 09:28

Good morning, woken up to AF, start of cycle 2 feeling posi and ready for it Smile

Sussexbysea · 13/05/2020 09:33

Yay!! Congrats and on the BFP @LynzP85

I feel sick as a dog today, so AF Is on her way. I know I’m not pregnant as the sickness doesn’t kick in this early.

We’re on year two of trying for number 2. Our daughter took 2 cycles of trying, super easy. My lifestyle was so different then... going out, eating crap, drinking at the weekends, non stop life. And now, I’m the opposite and it’s taking ages. Maybe I need to go back to my old life.... I’m joking 😂😂

Congratulations @LynzP85!!

hayho87 · 13/05/2020 10:12

AF is here so onto cycle 22! Fingers crossed for everyone else! X

Sussexbysea · 13/05/2020 10:13

@hayho87 see you on the next thread

@Sussexbysea definitely loved this thread, I'm now nursing one of the worst periods of had in ages! So so painful 😖

BernadetteSunday · 13/05/2020 10:30

Hi pals - your posts have kept me sane the last few weeks!

My head is melted now. My normal AF time was due on Monday (and I’m usually like clockwork) but because I ovulated later than usual (again, usually clockwork), Flo says it could be anytime from Mon - Fri.

I’m DPO16 and all I’m getting is BFN and my bbt is still high so I think it’ll be Friday. I have so many intense AF cramps. Just wish it would hurry up now.

Amusing testing story - I bought some FRER off Amazon, box lolled fine and in plastic... opened it up, 2 Answer tests, not FREE. Ffs!!!!

Sorry to hear about everyone's AF and bfns this morning. I'm still waiting to see whether I'll be joining you on the next bus or not... No AF cramps yet so still have a little bit of hope.

Sussexbysea · 13/05/2020 11:54

@skyla01 think I’ll test Friday morning

OP posts:
Skyla01 · 13/05/2020 11:56

@Sussexbysea I hope you are wrong about your AF symptoms. I remember hitting the year mark and it was a bit of a downer. But in the past now so onwards and upwards!

Sussexbysea · 13/05/2020 12:24

@skyla01 we’ve reached our 2 year mark, it’s stressful but this mo the I’ve been a lot more chilled. I’ve been furloughed from work for the past month so that’s helped

SewingAddict419 · 13/05/2020 12:34

I don't know if anyone can see this but since the thread was ending I decided to test again anyway. In person I can see a really faint line, but after getting to know the bfn's I'm pretty sure this is it.

Skyla01 · 13/05/2020 13:27

@Sussexbysea I'm sorry I must have misread. Hitting any milestone is always hard but glad you aren't feeling too bad. I had a real downer when we hit 1yr.

@SewingAddict419 I can't see a line but the faint ones can be clearer in person. Personally I would leave it a day or two then hopefully you'll have a stronger line when you test again.

MrsDh2019 · 13/05/2020 14:41

@SewingAddict419 I can see a very faint line if I look carefully! However it’s only because it’s as faint as the ones I’m getting so now I’m not sure if i just have line eyes Hmm but I hope it is something for you 🤞🏼 X
