Hi again everyone - I’ve just caught up! You’ve all been busy

According to my glow app I’m 2DPO but still only at “high” according to the CB OPK and it’s not picked up a peak at all. It’s been showing “high” for the last 8 days so I’m not sure what’s going on there at all - suppose it’s now a waiting game.

Have a feeling this won’t be our month so am going to read up on SMEP and resist the urge to google anything else!

@Excitablemuch Sorry I must have missed your message. Welcome 💕 I have zero experience or much knowledge on Luteal phases but its maybe just as your cycles are a bit out of sorts justnow, so stay positive they will soon return to normal 🤞🏻 TTC definitely does turn us all crazy, this is our first month TTC & I'm already 100 on the crazy scale!

@Richmonder Stay positive u might still get your peak, although I have no experience of CB for ovulation. Are u testing more than once a day as I've seen some girls might miss there peak if they dont test a few times. May just be you've had your peak & just still high readings. Stay positive & just keep DTD 🤞🏻 I have been reading alot about SMEP too & we are gonna do that next cycle x

@KRK05 yes twice a day hoping that I’d know either way! It’s the waiting that’s killing me at the mo, got a puzzle on the go and am doing lots of baking and cleaning to try and keep my mind off it.

I read “the impatient woman’s guide to getting pregnant” as like a few of you on here I had no idea what happens when in your cycle. I’ve found it very useful

@Noble89 It is very light and normally I really know about it so it has crossed my mind it could be implantation. I have felt rough since Sunday - light headed, temperature, exhausted and nauseous which isn’t that normal for me (in the short times I’ve been off birth control since late teens). Had crossed my mind I could be pregnant. I tested yesterday (couldn’t resist) and was negative but I would only be 9dpo and not due til the weekend so was early. I’ll see how this pans out for a few days and if not ‘normal’ I’ll test again. Trying to stay negative!

@Richmonder we have found SMEP exhausting but it seems to do wonders and leaves you feeling very in control and organised- which I love! Will definitely be using it again this month :)

Welcome @Excitablemuch I haven't been on the pill for about 8years but remember my cycles being mental for the 1st 6months at least, I wasn't tracking ovulation but the overall lengths were all out of whack so definitely bare with it. I've seen some ladies with irratic cycles still concieving so definitely doesn't mean it can't happen 🤞 and agreed SMEP is exhausting I think it's planning the sex that makes it feel like so much more of an effort aswell but will definitely be doing it next month as feel like I've covered all bases and that's all we can do xx

@Richmonder definitely stay positive sometimes I think it just tells us to start telling us to test too early, have you had a look at the lines on your CB stick to see what they are saying?

@Noble89 Last month is the first month I tracked ovulation and it was a 14day LP. I'm guessing I'm pretty standard because I ovulated on CD14 and my cycles are normally 28days so would make sense AF would be due on the 17th, but flo is predicting it will start on the 19th so going to try and wait until then at least 😬 but if you get your BFP I'll definitely feel like I should test as we seem to be the same person 😂

I have got 30 cheap tests that came with my opks and 3 CB tests at home so if I do crack I'm stocked up at least.

@SmileyT Girls just me again with my crazy self asking questions about next cycle before I've even started my AF, but its helping me mentally prepare 😂 I've downloaded Femometer & Premom app so I can put my OPKs in & track BBT but I've ordered One Step OPKs so will they go into the apps the same or am I better with the apps own branded tests X

@KRK05 You can use One Step (or any other) with Fermometer ☺️ not used Premom app so don't know about that but I'm sure it would be the same as all cheap OPKs are the same they just have different branding!

@KRK05 wellll obviously I tested as soon as they arrived 😂 no signs of anything, which I was expecting tbf, but at least I have about 24 more to use over the next few days 🙈

Good call on getting your OH to hide them, if mine knew how much I'd spent on them I'm sure he'd be hiding them without me asking 😬

@SmileyT I’m not very good with lines. I like to stick to digital as it removes any doubt although if this month isn’t successful I may look into that as I can record them on Glow and keep a track of what happened on what day etc.

I suppose I’m hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. Last month I cried for days when AF arrived (late as well!), and although I’d be disappointed should it arrive again this month, I’m going to try not to let it get to me (too much anyway)

@Ltay2 How did u find One step? I've spoken to a few people who have says they weren't so good but I thought they were really popular 🤨 well yeah true should work in them all! I'm more doing them so I can see on charts & for recording, cause really my CB digital should be enough.

@KateColx Ah I'm so sorry there was no second line 😔 least its the cheapies so can waste away! Is your AF normally regular? Hope doesnt shop up Friday 🙏🏼 I've been reading lots & even though those lucky few that do get BFP at like 9DPO, implantation can happen up to 12 DAYS after ovulation & takes most people 2-4 days to have any hcg that would be detectable. I think sometimes we forget & compare ourselves to everybody else so expect that BFP before AF. It's hard not too though when everyones BFPs before AF are all over these types of threads 😭 definitely next cycle though I will be waiting until atleast 14DPO, I actually promise myself 😂🤞🏻

@KRK05 I've never had a problem with them, I've been using them off and on for around 3 years now as part of preventing pregnancy with Natural Cycles app. Just checked and the app tells me I have taken a grand total of 96 tests along the way, I did have a big break of a few months being lazy and not tracking anything otherwise it would be more! If you start testing multiple times a day when you get near to ovulation it's easier to catch your peak.

Still no AF to speak of for me this evening. Same story today of a few drops of spotting but had no cramps at all today. Now 13dpo and AF supposedly due tomorrow. By now I usually have bad cramps and a lot more spotting so expecting to be late 🙈 just done a nice 35 minute 'fertility meditation' and I'm going to have a warm bath and read my book to chill!

@Ltay2 I'm feeling exactly the same! 14DPO and AF due tomorrow. I was getting cramps but they've stopped, normally a day before I'm dying of cramps. I don't wanna get my hopes too high though.

It has been one long cycle! Xx

@Aaj04 Oh I know! This has been the loooongest 4 weeks ever. Hoping it gets easier otherwise TTC is going to be torturous with all the waiting!

@Richmonder sounds like you may have either missed your peak or maybe will get it in a day or so. Apparently some people's LH surge is really short like just a few hours so it's easy to miss. Sounds like you're right around the same point in your cycle as @SmileyT and myself. I'm 2dpo and AF due the 18th/19th.

@Excitablemuch sounds very promising! Definitely just too early to test. I'm sure with my last pregnancy I got a BFN at 9DPO and a clear positive on 11DPO so I think it probably would have shown at 10DPO too.

@SmileyT I'll definitely crack before you and it'll be a win for you either way. If I get a BFP you'll know there's a chance and you can test and if I get a BFN it'll motivate you not to bother!

I hadnt checked this thread in a few days and had 10 pages to go through to catch up! 😂 2 more days to go before I need to start doing the regular BD. I've Preseed arriving tomorrow have never tried a fertility lube before but at the stage of willing to try anything! There was something on the TV about babies the other day and my husband stupidly said to my son (who's 2) 'would you like mummy and daddy to have another baby?' So now hes constantly asking if we can go to the shops and buy a baby.....if only it were that easy! 🙈

@KRK05 thanks lovely! Haha exactly, I'll be taking them on the hour tomorrow 🤣 yeah I'm always like clockwork, so Friday will tell 🤗🙈 ah I know thays half the problem I think, there are so so many threads with people getting early results and it makes you think you're out of luck even though so many people don't find out until AF is late.

How's all of your prep going for the next try? Have you got plenty to get your head round? X

@Ltay2 Thankyou, il need u to keep me right when the time comes 👀😂 sounds promising no AF pains especially as u normally do the day before. Are u like clockwork or could maybe be a late? Got everything crossed doesnt appear tomorrow for u 🤞🏻

@KateColx Ahh so excited for Friday for u 🥰 sooo true it totally plays with your head so u end up POAS every day 🙈 it seems to be going well, after tomorrow il have everything I need & I've been reading loads about it, plus all the posts on here so I think I have a good idea what I'm doing (will probably be full of 100 questions at the time though to double check 😂) think itl keep me busy doing my OPKs & charts etc, cause this month I've done nothing except google every little thing 🤷🏼‍♀️

@KRK05 Haha I can try 😉 usually quite good at reading them, you'll get the hang of it quickly I think! I know very strange with no AF pains. I am usually quite regular, especially with the app predictions I can't remember a time when it was out, or if it was then it was only by a day so we shall see! 🤞🏼

Hi quick LH question - can you get a non existent line sometimes almost like a drop before you ovulate? So so so sorry if this question has been asked before. Really new to measuring LH. Have been doing for a few days and always had 2 lines (one being faint) and today the second line was barely visible :( I'm CD 15 so not expecting to ovulate for another 5 days.

I absolutely promise I will catch up on all posts tomorrow. I've been the crappiest member on here thanks to work and I'm so sorry my post is about me!! I really hope you're all doing great xxx

@Richmonder definitely keep hoping for the best it's the only thing that keeps up sane if AF does arrive. I also cried last AF, it's totally okay but just remember AF is the start of a new cycle so if it does arrive (hopefully not) then it is a fresh start. Yeah the lines can actually make it more confusing so probs best not to throw that into the mix xx
