Welcome to the May Bus!

This is our second month of trying.

So nervous about testing though even though it isn't for ages yet! 4 days early would be Sunday so will try and do it then if I get to sneak away at all and OH won't notice! Otherwise will wait until next opportunity on Tuesday which would be 2 days early.

Yay to the pic @KateColx there is a definite line congrats 🥳 is this your 1st or 2nd cycle? I can't believe we have 3 BFPs before the end of April 🙌🏾 positivity in this thread is working. I understand not wanting to get too excited just try and relax the next couple days. When will you test again? Is OH excited?

@SmileyT thanks lovely, I think I'm going to try and wait to test on Saturday or Sunday so I'll be around 10/11DPO, just really hoping there's a nice positive line there 🤞🏻 as it was so faint today.

I haven't actually told OH yet 😬 he's been at work today, and I'm not sure if I'd rather wait and see if it gets darker at the weekend in case it doesn't. Although I might change my mind when I see him 😂 second cycle since we've stopped trying not to but first cycle properly tracking dates etc. X

@Ltay2 I get nervous every single time I test! And in the build up to it too! X

@Noble89 Thank you so much!! I literally could not believe what I was seeing and did not expect to see a positive at all, even though it's what we wanted! I am looking forward to seeing other BFP's over the next few weeks :) It's good you have the CB ovulating tests, that helped me so much! Try to stay positive and keep doing what you're doing x

@MrsEmilyB Thank you lovely! The only thing I did differently was hold my legs up in the air after on one day although I've read that it's not proven that it actually helps haha! And also just made sure we DTD as much as we could around ovulation.

@KateColx omggg I knew it!!! Congratulations!! It will be faint as still so early on, but just keep doing tests every few days and it will get darker! How exciting x

@Panda789 sorry I missed your message earlier. You done so well to wait it out until 12DPO, I need to show some restraint now 😂 definitely going to try and wait until the weekend at least, keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻 aw lovely! How exciting to have a rough idea on dates 🥰 Both mine and my husbands birthdays are in Jan, so it would be funny if we have a baby the same month too. X

I've noticed a couple of times today when I've gone to the loo there's been tiny spots of blood when I've wiped (sorry TMI). Is implantation bleeding actually a thing?! AF isn't due until mid next week and I'm never early, but now I'm worrying 🙈 x

@Panda789 hahah your note below about legs in the air made me laugh, I definitely done that once when OH left the room 😂

Hi ladies! I have just jumped across form the April group and TWW thread. Brief history - have a son who is 2. We had a MMC in mid Feb and this is our first cycle trying. Currently 14 DPO with a negative FR test thismorning but no sign of AF. Had a tiny bit of pink fluid last night but nothing since. I don’t think this is AF but it may develop over the next few days. It’s also possible I ovulated later than CD 14 as I only used the CM method. We conceived the pregnancy when we had the MMC very late in my cycle so maybe I ovulate late - who knows!! Hoping for a positive test in a few days time x

The May bus hadnt even set off yet and my stop has arrived. AF arrived early 😢 Ah well maybe it'll be 9th time lucky next cycle. Away to have a cry and eat my body weight in chocolate today. Sending every bit of positive hope all you way and hope to hear some good news from as many of you as possible next month 🤞

Hi @RiverRoo and welcome. Sorry to hear about your MC. I've been there and it's not a nice experience. Fingers crossed you just ovulated a bit late and it's just a bit early to test!

@DKDK123 Oh I'm sorry the old witch has arrived. AF is unpleasant enough but it's a horrible reminder when you're TTC. Definitely go have a lazy day eating chocolate and get your DP to wait on you hand and foot. Do stick around, this has been a really positive thread and hopefully will make you feel better. Are you trying for number 1?

@RiverRoo 🤞 that ovulation was a few days out and you get your BFP over the weekend xx

@DKDK123 sorry about AF, but as she was coming at least she has arrived so you can move onto your next cycle. If they are shorter than 31 days you still have a shot to still get your BFP before the end of May.

CD12 and 4th day of low fertility result on CB for me but still feeling positive. Plus side it's an even day so according to SMEP I'll have some baby making practice tonight to distract me 🙃

@Noble89 No its #2, I've already been blessed with a lovely wee boy who's 2 but really want a sibling for him. Took nearly a year to conceive with him so I'm well used to the monthly disappointments. This will be the 9th cycle for this one so hopefully it will happen soon 🤞

@SmileyT you're right I never thought on that, being early means I'm actually next due at the end of May. So instead of missing the May bus I'll look on it as I've had 2 shots at it instead 😉.

@SmileyT how are you finding SMEP? Is this your first month trying it or is it what you tend to always do? X

@SmileyT oh it's so frustrating waiting for that bloody smiley face. It's coming though so don't stress on it! It's BD day for us too 😂. AND, we've had my OHs best friend living with us since September as he was in an abusive relationship and needed somewhere to go. He moves out today so we can finally have a bit more fun DTD rather than trying to keep relatively quiet confined to our room! Looking at it as a big positive as SMEP can become a bit like a chore if you can't mix it up a bit.

@DKDK123 Ahh lovely, you'll have your hands full 9 months after you get that BFP then. Love the positivity of looking at this as 2 shots in May. I think maintaing a positive mindset definitely helps. It's encouraging that you know you can get pregnant but it just takes some time! Have you tried the SMEP yet?

@Noble89 havent tried SMEP yet but do try to have as much sex as possible right through my fertile window and of course ramp it up the day and days after a positive which does coincidently tend to be quite a similar pattern to what SMEP method suggests ...... but I may start to be more strategic and follow SMEP to the letter next month, nothing to lose! 😊
I've had 2 chemicals in this 9months of trying so its partly comforting to know I can get pregnant as I have a large fibroid at the top of my cervix (that they only discovered when I finally got pregnant with my first) and I know that can make it more difficult for the little swimmers to proceed so in a way the chemicals while upsetting at the time have also been a positive sign that I can get pregnant again. Here's hoping!

@KRK05 yeah I thought that too about probably just not noticing them before because we weren’t TTC. You’ve not got long to wait now, a week today! Have you had any symptoms or anything? I’ve been symptom spotting allll over the shop ! Every little thing I’m like oooh could it be... haha driving myself mad. I’ve got 10 days till AF is due, but I think I’m gonna test in a week. Got the FRER and Clear Blue digital tests at the ready 😹

@Blossom93 I know this week is gonna go so long 😭 I dont think I've really had any symptoms, had some cramps & Cm which was before I was predicted fo ovulate so thought might be ovulation (I've never noticed before) I have been so moody the past couple days but that's me normal before AF 😂 at times I keep getting cramps thinking shes away to come but still not as of yet. So nothing out of the ordinary really. What about u, what symptoms have u had? Well I ordered some FRER & purposely got a delivery date which was for Saturday so I could take them Monday while OH was at work so would only be a day sitting staring at them but I've just had an email there arriving today, not good so now I have that temptation 🤦🏼‍♀️ when are u gonna test?

@DKDK123 yes two chances this month so enjoy some choc and a glass of wine or couple cups of coffee (whatever takes your fancy) and get ready for this next month xx

@Noble89 👋 that sounds like the absolute dream with the bestie moving out. We live with one of DPs friends, when I had the MC he moved out for a few days, due to lockdown he has continued staying with his gf but although we all get on, I'm dreading having him back. It's so nice it just being the two of us 🥰 I'm actually still feeling positive, when blank circle came on the CB this morning I was a bit bummed but keep telling myself it's all a process and to enjoy it. I might be at it for the next 2 years so no point moping after four days xx

I've been getting the odd twinge of stabbing/pinching cramps on my left side this afternoon although it feels too high up to be anything significant. Still very doubtful this is my month.. holding out until Saturday!

@SmileyT Feeling okay thanks lovely, I think I'm waiting to try another test at the weekend before I believe it. Still had sort of cramping feelings all day, not sure if that's a good sign or not.

You'll have to let us know! It sounds like the best way to cover all bases, just not sure if OH would like it or not 😂 x

@Ltay2 you never know, any feelings you're not used to could be something ☺️ do you normally get any signs before AF? X

@KateColx I usually do get cramps before AF a few days before so nothing too out of the ordinary happening here!

I received my OPK's through the post today and did the first one this afternoon. So I am CD9 and had a very faint line. According to NaturalCycles my OV date is anytime between CD 18 and CD 21. So question is (and excuse me as I'm so new to this whole LH testing) is seeing a faint line on CD 9 normal or does that mean that OV is a bit sooner than originally thought? I will keep testing every day anyway as I know they will get darker. Any help welcome. (I'll upload pic in a min)
