@KateColx yes me too!! I notice little twinges/light cramps feelings and then I overthink it all 😂 notice it a lot this week. I've been noting it all in an app each day so I can look back each month I'm trying and compare.

@Ltay2 it's just not the same when someone you know has used the same name! It's ok I have plenty of others I like lol.

KateColx · 24/04/2020 21:50

@Panda789 oh that's a good idea! I've definitely learnt my lesson from last month when I'd literally convinced myself I was, but I still can't stop myself noticing little things. Which app do you use? X

Ltay2 · 24/04/2020 21:56

@KateColx The only thing I have noticed for definite is a slight cramping yesterday which was the day I am supposed to have ovulated. Everything else I think has been in my head 🤣

SarahTTCx · 24/04/2020 22:01

@Ltay2 We love Sully as a nickname too, so cute! But I love that Sullivan is a good strong name for a man so it has the cute kid side and the masculine side too!

@KateColx baby name chat is my fave too, I couldn't tell you how many names I actually have saved in the notes in my phone 😂 ooh I love both Luna and Eda. A girl I know named her baby Ada recently and I love that too!

My favourites for a girl are Lyla, Amelie or Nora but OH hates them all (they're too "fluffly" and "ditsy" apparently). He said if he can't think of anything better he would "settle" for Lyla but i'd rather we found something we both love!

Ltay2 · 24/04/2020 22:15

@SarahTTCx I know of a Lyla, shortened from Delilah, lovely name.

Completely agree, both Sully and Sullivan are great names. Love that it's a unique name but not tooooo unusual.

I only have 2 names so far, none ran by OH so could be completely written off before they begin 🤣

I have Evan James for a boy and Charlotte Elise for a girl.

Panda789 · 24/04/2020 23:02

@KateColx I use the attached app, so handy for noting everything! Especially periods. Also interesting to look back on over the days x

Love all the talk of baby names!! Boys names I have NO clue it took us long enough to decide on Oscar for our 5 year old 😂 girls I have two Mila-Rose or Olivia-Rose (Rose for my gran & same as joint on my first name) boy names are such a struggle I think.

babyG123 · 25/04/2020 07:29

@KRK05 Oscar is my favourite name!

Panda789 · 25/04/2020 08:04

@KRK05 Olivia-Rose 😍 love that!

Panda789 · 25/04/2020 08:06

I do like the name Riley, but DH says no because a family friend has it 😑 Izzy and Maia is a favourite too

Ltay2 · 25/04/2020 08:13

@KRK05 Olivia-Rose is beautiful! Love the name Mila too but Olivia 'flows' better I think!

@Panda789 Maia is a lovely name too. Sounds weird but it is very aesthetically pleasing spelling wise too 🤣

Panda789 · 25/04/2020 09:20

@Ltay2 I know that's why I wouldn't dare tell anyone i know about that name as i know they would be like huh?! 😂 I like Maya, but think I prefer it spelled Maia instead.. will probably change my mind again! 🙈

Ltay2 · 25/04/2020 09:48

@Panda789 Just read my message back and realised it sounded like I was saying the name 'sounded weird' that's not what I meant 😂 I meant that it 'sounded weird' that I was saying it looked nice! I like the spelling either way, but definitely prefer Maia.

Panda789 · 25/04/2020 10:01

@Ltay2 no it does sound a bit weird when you first look at it 😂 and people might mispronounce it so it would be a risk. I've gotten a bit more used to it though with it in my mind and quite like it! It's unusual but pretty 😊

KRK05 · 25/04/2020 13:32

@Panda789 @Ltay2 Olivia-Rose has always been my favourite too I think cause the 'O' matches Oscar.

@Panda789 Maia is a beautiful name 😍

@babyG123 Oscar was literally the only boys name I liked, I'm really fussy 😂

Hi ladies,

How is everyone's weekend going? I'm just catching up on the thread. AF finished yesterday and today is CD 8 for me so today is the day we start trying! I'll be following the SMEP as that worked the first month we tried it which sadly ended with a molar pregnancy/miscarriage. My periods have been a bit whacky since. My cycles were always bang on 28 days before but have varied from 28-33 recently so I'm expecting ovulation anytime between the 2nd and 9th of May.

Where is everyone else in their cycle? Hope you're all well and feeling positive! Xxx

KateColx · 26/04/2020 16:57

@Noble89 Hi lovely,

Weekend has been good thanks, nice and relaxing! I'm still working so it's been nice to enjoy the sunshine and chill. How has yours been?

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Hopefully this is a lucky month for you 🥰

I'm currently CD17 and around 4/5 DPO, this is my 2nd cycle so still a bit new to it all. I've been reading into the SMEP method, how did you find it first time round? We've just been more active around the time of ovulation, I'm not too sure how he'd feel about DTD every other day 🧐😂 x

SmileyT · 26/04/2020 17:06

Hi @Noble89 how are you?

I had a Friday night watching new born essential YouTube videos and researching baby names, before OH got home from his night shift I'd already sent him an updated Amazon list... he loves it and is happy I'm getting excited again.

CD8 here aswell and got started on SMEP this morning although we have been practicing for a couple days already ☺️ think this is the best week of the cycle, oestrogen making us feel good and the excitement getting close to ovulation xx

Noble89 · 26/04/2020 17:24

@KateColx mine has been good thanks! Like you I'm still working so it's nice to have a few days off. We've been doing the garden today and been for a nice long walk with the dog so it's been lovely.

Thank you. It was a molar pregnancy so a miscarriage that literally lasted 6 bloody months so lord knows I'm ready to try again!

Oh the dreaded tww! Honestly it was a bit much 😂. There were some nights where truthfully neither of us were particularly in the mood but it worked so we're doing that again this time!

@SmileyT hey lovely.

Ahh I'm glad you got on the videos! I really enjoyed watching them so I've been doing the same and updating my Amazon wish list. I got into a YouTube rabbit hole about reusable nappies this weekend 😂. We're not eco warriors in my house but certainly eco conscious and big on re-usable water bottles and recycling etc so I was intrigued to look into that. It's far more environmentally friendly and although a bigger initial outlay it's waaaayyy cheaper than disposables so I'm going to do some more research and have a chat to my OH about it.

What did you put on your wish list then?

My period was bloody (literally) awful so my DP hasn't had a look in for a week bless him. He's done a 50 bike ride today though so he might take some convincing 😂.

You know I said I rarely drink? Friday night I got a hankering for a nice drink so bought a bottle of raspberry gin. Long story short I drank 3/4 of the bottle and we stayed up till 4am playing cards and just having our own little house party. I was dying yesterday 😂

Panda789 · 26/04/2020 17:40

@Noble89 hope you're having a lovely weekend off! I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage x
I heard about SMEP recently so if unsuccessful this month I'll give that a go next month!
I am currently 10dpo with irregular periods and just dying to do a test but holding off. The TWW is hell.
Raspberry gin is a good choice!! I love my gin with lemonade 😋 sounds like you gave yourself a bit of a hangover! 😂🙈

Noble89 · 26/04/2020 18:46

@Panda789 thank you! It was a drawn out nightmare but it's over now 😊.

Definitely do, we did 2 cycles without conceiving (I barely count the first one as we weren't really 'trying' I'd just come off my BC) but when month 2 didn't happen I found out about SMEP and it worked!

Are you tracking ovulation? My periods were always like clockwork but since my MC they're allll over and it's really annoying as now I'm not really sure when ovulation will be so I've got some clear blue digital OPKs.

Me too! Raspberry gin and lemonade is the best combo! I don't drink very often and the hangover yesterday reminded me why 😂

babyG123 · 26/04/2020 19:55

Can someone please explain what to do with SMEP?

Hopeful this month but interested.

SmileyT · 26/04/2020 20:28

@Noble89 ahh I'm glad you had a good lockdown party 🥳 the hangovers always make you think twice though, although at least you didn't have a weekend full of social plans to contend with. The list is way too long to share on here 😂 but spent a long time looking at the owlet sock and baby monitor and a load of different prams (thought I was set on babyzen yoyo but I may have my head turned).

Good on him getting out for a ride I've been such a slug this weekend and regretting it after seeing it might rain all next week 😩

I just lost myself in research for reusable nappies but not sure I can do them completely although love the idea, I always feel bad for still using tampons really need to move to a mooncup at some point.

SmileyT · 26/04/2020 20:30

@babyG123 SMEP is a plan where you have sex every other day from day 8 of your cycle, when you get a positive opk you have sex 3 days in a row then take one day off and continue having sex every other day. It's just to ensure that you don't miss ovulation by not having sex at your most fertile times xx

babyG123 · 26/04/2020 20:40

Ah ok @SmileyT thanks. I think we pretty much followed without knowing 🤣🤞🏼🤞🏼
