At the risk of jinxing myself by starting this thread I'm hoping it's actually quite therapeutic to let go of September. The next few weeks are all about bd'ing and for those in the same boat, we can start looking forward to an October full of BFPs.

After a 41 day cycle I'm back to CD1, anyone else care to join me?

Digitalgirl CD1 2nd cycle ttc #1

Tigger, so how long before OV will you stop bd? Just wondering!!

Deb

Tigger13 · 11/09/2007 21:07

HI,

I'm following a book and it suggests stopping 7days before ov (provided you know when that is, suggests charting) and then build up a day a month. Well I want it now so first month I stopped at day 7, but didn't have any ov signs so think didn't ovulate. Last month stopped cd10 +ov on CD14, this month will go to CD11 (going away for night without boys so pushing luck a bit!) unless I get Ov+ before then. I usually have 28day cycle but was 29 last month and 21 month before. Relying on sticks alot to pinpoint Ov.

DH also lowering sperm count as suppose to help so lots of BD already and tight pants

Thepuddingchef · 11/09/2007 21:33

Finally got back onto mn... managed to read down a few posts to catch up with everyone on here. Thankyou for the welcome.....
I'm cd14, but am currently in a mardy with dh, as he won't oblige this eve saying he's too tired ! WTF !! he's a man I didn't think they ever turned it down!
Oh well......oh pennybenjamin....whats your secret...your dh sounds like an angel

lockets24 · 11/09/2007 21:46

Puddingchef - I am also abandoned my DH. He's already in bed (and I've had Af so he should be raring for it) and I feel in dire need of some romance. But do men bring bunches of flowers home to grumpy wives?

Penny - despite being jealous of your up for it hubby I would like to assure you that we are all October soulmates if not cyclebuddies. And I'm sure a lurker will announce herself very soon and you'll be paired up .

Hi Tigger!

Sweetkitty - am seriously impressed and in awe of your Brazilian (sorry for not reading properly the first time). Feel such an amateur next to you. Clean hair? Was that all I was worried about?! Jeez.
But yes, this is my first real period, had my last pill induced one and then took no more pills. Am actually just so pleased that I got this period as last time I went off the pill (when I was 18) it took over a year for my periods to come back. Hoping it doesn't take 9 months for me but heartening that it went quicker for you the other times.
Am very, very sorry about your mc, must be terribly hard to get over it when you have the could have been dates so firmly in your head. Have fingers crossed for you this time.

Piggley - I'm glad you impressed by my lack of spf . Lol (in a sympathetic, empathetic manner) about your fake tan . Glossies are v destructive and one never, ever learns. Still buy nude lipsticks everytime it's the catwalk look (or I've watched Breakfast at Tiffany's). Always look bad in it, always have to chuck it after and always buy another one thinking this time it will be different. Tut.
Goodnight all!

Har27 · 11/09/2007 22:03

Oh hi Lockets!

Har27 · 11/09/2007 22:04

Sorry Lockets, took such an age writing my message that missed your post. Welcome!

sweetkitty · 11/09/2007 22:14

Har - I was laughing at myself as in labour having a fuzz free fanjo is the least of your worries! I haven't been on the pill since we decided to try for DD1, I've been pregnant/BFing/pregnant/BFing/break for 3 months/pregnant/mc/ttc again for nearly 4 years now, I think I am utterly mad now probably die to lack of alcohol in the last 4 years.

penny - I think if my DP suggested BDing at 6am we wouldn't be doing any BDing for a while, I am not a morning person.

piggley - lol @ the incredible hulk

tigger - another one going for a third I have 2 DDs and am not bothered about having another or not (DD that is although secretly I think DP would like another man in the house to even it up can you imagine 4 girls and just him), just loads of BDing for us ov or not.

puddingchef - welcome back

Lockets - welcome to the thread yes we will all be having June babies (SK thinks positive)

lockets24 · 11/09/2007 22:20

sweetkitty ~ a june baby sounds just about perfect!

har27 ~ when dh brings me flowers i am usually tired and grumpy!! last romantic one was meeting me from my train home at 7.30pm with a single red rose!

thanks for the welcome

poppy34 · 11/09/2007 22:39

Hi think I am about to join you (not yet had AF start but signs are most definitely there so fully expecting to wake up to CD1 tomorrow) . Feelign particularly fed up as have what for me is a significant birthday coming up and this was the month that my baby would have been due (if hadnt had abnormalties). To top it off DH is away so will have to console myself with extra chocolate til his return

TwoThumbsDon · 12/09/2007 06:11

Hi all!

Finally think the time is right to ttc#2 (ds is 3 1/2). So this is the first cycle. I'll need to get to grips with the terminology! ds wasn't planned so this is all new territory for me!

TheMuppetMuggle · 12/09/2007 08:32

Hello Newbies

ladylush · 12/09/2007 08:39

Had to laugh at pennybenajamin and the gift husband

The bitchy lolipop man also very funny.

libralady · 12/09/2007 08:43

Morning all,
pennyBenjamin I started to use the CBDM this month and it instructs you to test daily from day 6 for 10 days (sometimes 20 in the first cycle)
Si far I have had D6 Low, D7 Low, D8 Low, D9 Low, D10 Low, D11 High, D12 Peak, D13 Peak, D14 High and today D15 it is back to Low. So reading between the lines (if you excuse the pun) I think I ov'd Sunday or Monday and DH and I got plenty of Bding in over the weekend but by Monday we were both soooo tired. But sperm can live for upto 72 hours so here's hoping for a BFP soon. Don't know when AF is due as my last cycles have been 24 and 26 days but either way I will be due when on holiday. Will try and hold out until testing until 2nd October if TEW hasn't shown her ugly head and it's my birthday and our wedding anniversary. I'm now CD15 so in the dreaded 2ww.
I'm getting advice from those on the thread re the clearblue trial. They are really helpful as everyone's cycle is different. Hope it all goes well with you too.
Hello to any newbies and everyone else.

lockets24 · 12/09/2007 08:48

TheMuppetMuggle..discounts at next lucky gal (grin) could have done with that when spent to much money at weekend on furniture!!

grr CD4 this is going to slowly, work seems to be dragging this week!

Poppy34 hope you are making most of chocolate!

TheMuppetMuggle · 12/09/2007 09:13

Lockets

sweetkitty · 12/09/2007 09:20

morning ladies nothing much to report here CD6 already no ov sticks to CD11 so we will see.

muppet - glad D is on the mend, I worked for next over Christmas think I ended up owing them money as I spent loads in the Boxing Day sale but the best bit was being in the store at 6.30am empty on sale day and having all the rails to myself, great but not for the credit card. Agree next maternity is great have you seen the lovely feeding bras like proper bras all lacy not liek the m7s big cotton ones, I've thrown all mine ot so will have to get some new ones

libralady - looks promising

twothumsdon - welcome

Piggley · 12/09/2007 09:48

Good morning all. Another beautiful down down south, I sould have suspected after buying three polo necks from Warehouse yesterday!!
.
Tigger I have two DS and am trying the girl method. So far I have cut out coffee and tea, red meat, cut back on wine and increased calcuim, nuts, green leafy things and magnesium and water intake.

Also heard that you need to stop having sex 2-3 days before ovulation - but this can be a bit tricky as so keen now to have child number three we just keep going and hope the fact that I am creating a hostile envirnoment inside me (acidic) that girl sperm (moves slower, lives longer) will outlast boy sperm (moves quicker but dies quicker!)

Hope you all have fab day. P x

PennyBenjamin · 12/09/2007 10:12

Hee hee! Glad I'm giving everybody a laugh with my enthiusiastic DH. To be honest, three days into his programme, he's starting to look a bit peaky. Not sure how much longer he'll be able to keep it up (no pun intended).

And the secret? Well, think it has more to do with the fact that we've only been married a few months, and have no children, and this being all new and exciting. Sure it wont be such a novelty a few months down the line.

Exciting CB news - day 9, and got a high this morning. So I'm afraid DH isn't going to get the rest he so dearly needs.....

digitalgirl · 12/09/2007 10:24

ooo - am so jealous of those with CB monitor! I only have cb digital ov sticks...AND I've got to wait til CD11 to use them (snap sweetkitty!). AND my cycle could be anything between 31 and 41 days long. lucky pb with your high on CD9!!

Am CD5 and got more bd practise in this morning , even though AF is dragging her heels . is it actually possible to ov during last few days of AF (i.e. spotting) or am I wearing out dh before necessary?

Can't WAIT to OV - I'm soooooo excited!

piggley v. interesting re: girl method. fingers crossed for you!

OP posts:
Har27 · 12/09/2007 10:32

Penny - I've only been married for a few months too, and no children. Humphf. What's wrong with my dh? Has been Af though, finally gone now so hoping for an unleashing of stored energy tonight!

Lockets - your dh sounds v sweet!

Josey . Hope all better today!

Hi Twothumbs!

Poppy - I'm so sorry for what happened to you. Hope dh home soon to be with you.

Muppet - a vomiting dp? Perhaps he's having sympathy symptoms before you've even got your own...

Piggley - v intrigued as to whether diet works, we will all be holding our breath for that all important scan! Good news about Darcie feeling better

Har27 · 12/09/2007 10:36

Hi digital! - seem to keep overlapping. have only got the sticks too so am v disappointed as read everyone else's notices with their CD8 and 9 testing and thought that I could do it that early too. Boring. But great that AF on way out, mine just gone. Ov stage much nicer than 2ww!
