At the risk of jinxing myself by starting this thread I'm hoping it's actually quite therapeutic to let go of September. The next few weeks are all about bd'ing and for those in the same boat, we can start looking forward to an October full of BFPs.

After a 41 day cycle I'm back to CD1, anyone else care to join me?

Digitalgirl CD1 2nd cycle ttc #1

Meglet · 11/09/2007 14:31

Hurray! Booked leg wax for friday morning so I don't look like a yeti anymore. No chance of BD-ing until I look human again, I won't even look at my legs at the moment.

Do ovulation sticks actually work?

TheMuppetMuggle · 11/09/2007 15:54

Hey ladies
Will have to have a good read later, but just popping on to say hi, and looking forward to lots of BDing at the weekend

brazilian I remember I used to go to Otylia Roberts behind Oxford Street in London for mine, she did all the stars you know darling, I was booked in for one 2 weeks before DD1 was born as I thought I would look tidy for the birth (first time mum what was I thinking) anyway DD1 decided to come early cue me waters breaking in the shower shaving before letting the MWs see me.

anyway brings back memories...............

TheMuppetMuggle · 11/09/2007 16:38

And i can start using my o/v tests on CD8 so 2 days to go

Har27 · 11/09/2007 17:14

Welcome everyone who's new! Am feeling very hopeful for all of us!

Libra - hope the CB monitor proves to be the key. I've just bought one for this month and like Pixie am tempted to start right now (ahem, only CD5 ) so hoping it's good. Fingers crossed for you!

Piggley - love the idea of whipping out the snapshot of secret child . Hope you had a good day off in the sunshine . Nice and sunny here too so took the advantage of all the reports saying that we should all sunbathe now and sat outside, spf-less. V daring.

Sweetkitty - love that we're cycle buddies!!! Looking forward to seeing you on symptom spotting thread soon then! Where are you living that's cold? My Af seems to be finally heading off too which I am thrilled about. Soooo heavy - felt like a teenager again, terrified of wearing nice knickers or white clothes. about your real, live false positive. And the pre-birth leg wax! I feel the same about clean (head) hair and will be washing it twice a day just to be sure in the month before giving birth... if I get to that situation of course. Worried emoticon needed.
Just done mine Meglet, ready for major seduction this week - need all weapons at disposal when dh is being so sleepy and boring at the moment )

Pixie about your peeing addiction!

Digital - lucky you that AF gave you a bd break

sweetkitty · 11/09/2007 17:25

Har - I'm in Scotland although now it's sunny it never knows what it is up here cold one minute sunny the next, I'm lol at leg wax no it was a bit further north I'm afraid so is this your first period since coming off the pill, took me 9 months to conceive DD1 after finally coming off the pill hope it won't take you that long. The last two (one mc) it was the first month of ttc so am hoping for that again.

muppet - I'm feeling a lot better now thanks, think it's a combination of getting AF so can have a cycle and start trying again or DP's new promotion which has ended our money worries. I still have moments of "I should be 14 weeks pregnant now" and I'm sure March will be a very hard month for a lot of us next year.

Well better go and get dinner on DP on his way home better feed him up he will need his strength, oh he's in training for a marathon in 6 weeks (not that kind of marathon before you ask but a real 26 miles one)

PennyBenjamin · 11/09/2007 17:30

Feel a bit sad that I don't have a cycle buddy . Hope that Pixie and *Kirstygem will let me join them as only one day ahead. Mind you, is a bit like suddenly finding something you never knew you needed!

Question for those with CB monitors - when would you expect it to start showing something other than low fertility? I am now CD 8, and this morning was still low (not surprising, and this is first month on CB so no clue yet) but wondering when I might start showing something?

DH has decided that this is the month, and has started a rigorous schedule of BDing, including ambushing me when he gets up at 6.30 am! Have thought about saying that it's still too early in the cycle, or that it might be better to be a bit more relaxed about it, but then decided I shouldn't look a gift-husband in the mouth!

debinaustria · 11/09/2007 17:48

Penny Benjamin - that made me laugh about your dh, mine wants to know if he's on extra rations to give him energy!!!

Deb

PennyBenjamin · 11/09/2007 17:58

It's very sweet, he's going about it exactly like he goes about the rest of his life. He's a real planner, very organised, and it's like I've given him a new project! I'm surprised he hasn't actually produced a timetable!

I know I should count myself lucky that he's so enthiusiastic, but have to say the pre-sunrise BD was a bit of a shock this morning!

Hmmm, maybe I should think about extra rations? Or maybe I'll just tell him that this means he can avoid the gym for a week.

TheMuppetMuggle · 11/09/2007 18:04

LOL @ your DH PB

My DP is set all set for this weekend of BDing - although he's not on extra rations

Meglet · 11/09/2007 19:33

Nice one Digital! re: Brazilian, if your DP is anything like mine thats foolproof . Maybe I should get him some Ginseng too, apparently that's good for blokes.

I have visions of everyone madly waxing and exfoliating over the next few days! Tonight shall be face mask night, DP is working shift 'til 11pm.

Hello to fellow cycle buddy muppet .

Piggley · 11/09/2007 19:34

Hello to Deb - cycle buddy!!

A bit cross DH just texted to say he is in the pub with team mates - did explain that he needs to be in peak performance for next week or two!

Had day to myself and went shopping - Bennetton has the most amazing maternity clothes, pretty sure it didn't exist three years ago? Didn't buy anything as sure it must be bad luck. Right time for that glass of wine as boys tucked up and food in the oven! Anyone for a glass?

ps our lollipop man is the biggest bitch and has been gossiping about the mums with the biggest cars taking up too much room on the school run!!

Meglet · 11/09/2007 19:43

No wine for me, but have just made some choc chip cookies. Green and Blacks choc too!

Piggley · 11/09/2007 19:57

Har no spf!! You wild lady!!

I was really cross this summer when I discovered my fake tan had a spf of 15, I was only using it on my cheeks to give myself a healthy glow and on one summy day my forehaed, nose and chin went red with too much sun but my cheeks stayed the same! Tried some green powder to even myself out and just turned into a flaky looking incredible hulk. I'm such a sucker for glossies and try to follow their beauty steps but continually screw up. P x

debinaustria · 11/09/2007 20:26

Hi Pigley, so nice to have a cycle buddy, I just told dh - he said " Is she trying for a baby too?" I don't think he's quite got the hang of all this!!

Enjoy your wine, hope dh isn't too late home for you!!

Deb

Tigger13 · 11/09/2007 20:49

HI

Can I join in, been lurking for a while on 3rd cycle TTC No3, on CD6. Using wonderful wee sticks as worked last time! have two DS and do0n't mind what (if) I have next but trying to use the girl method so loads of BD at the moment and not the actual OV time, which goes against my logic, so given it a few months and will then get annoyed and just go for it!
