Bring on the October BFP's

At the risk of jinxing myself by starting this thread I'm hoping it's actually quite therapeutic to let go of September. The next few weeks are all about bd'ing and for those in the same boat, we can start looking forward to an October full of BFPs.

After a 41 day cycle I'm back to CD1, anyone else care to join me?

Hello to all new ladies Still spotting on CD8 and cm getting stretchy now. Probably grapefruit juice too.

Off for a week now. Yay It's already booked up though so I won't be able to lounge around.

kirstygem · 16/09/2007 21:31

What is grapefruit juice meant to do for you??

ladylush · 16/09/2007 21:38

helps produce the right type of cervical mucus - stretchy and clear.

Clear but cold day here. Just checking in before I go to boring old work. Here's to several months maternity leave...

Not much chance for BDing this week as I'm away from home quite a lot, but I'll be back by CD8, so that still leaves me in the running for the all-important BFP.

Feeling quite positive myself today. Thanks to all my new MN friends for listening this weekend.

McDreamy · 17/09/2007 08:36

HI all, think I might join your group if that's ok. Sort of thinking strongly about number 3. Had my mirena coil out back in the spring and haven't been using protection since so we're playing a "see what happens" type of game .

Good morning! Hello Muppet! Hope you are ok this lovely autumnal morning.

Glad to read everyone is ok. Am feeling a bit sorry for myself as I woke up at 4am with cystitis, have downed some Oasis remedy and lots of water so should be ok soon.

Catch up with you all later

There you go GA how long are your cycles normally, you may get the first BFP of the thread! Are you trying for your first?

Feeling excited about moving down the list, CD10 already . CBD ov test instructions say not to test till CD14, which is Friday, but have told DH we're still BD'ing at least every other day until the weekend when I will be wearing him out (even though we have a soul-sapping daytrip to MIL on the Sunday).

Thanks Digital girl! Good to see you moving down the list....Sorry shoudl have said TTC 2 (have 5month old DD). Yes it's getting excruciatingly close...we're going on holiday on Thursday - with friends...trying to remain calm...

Har27 · 17/09/2007 10:32

Morning everyone! Hope you all had lovely weekends! Gardenangel, fingers crossed for you! Here's to a BFP to start the roll of good luck
Digital - realised we're nearly the same, ttc no. 1, cycle 2, CD10/11... Started using my CBD ov test sticks on Saturday as was so scared I'd miss it and now no smiley faces and only a few tests left! Not good.

AbRoller · 17/09/2007 10:32

I already did it for you and put in all your details.

I'm a big baby!

sweetbean · 17/09/2007 10:34

Hi Ladies

Im on the "Hoping for BFP in september" thread but just poped in to say hello and see how you are all doing. x x

AbRoller · 17/09/2007 10:37

Hi SB, how are things over there? Anymore BFP since starlight?

loveverona · 17/09/2007 10:58

Hi All, been a few days since I posted but I've been reading avidly! Been feeling a bit low over the weekend actually - recently moved to a new area and feeling a little lonely/unsettled. We've only been here for 6 weeks so I know I can't expect bossom pals and coffee meet-ups just yet, but it's difficult some days. ANYWAY, the sun is...sorry was...shining and I've got loads to keep me occupied, especially with you lovely people on mumsnet! SO it's more positive thinking in the loveverona camp from now on.

Har27 · 17/09/2007 11:27

Oh poor you Loveverona, I moved abroad a few years ago so I really understand. One misses having those really close friends who know you so well. It gets exhausting having to constantly be on best behaviour with new friends and wondering if they really like you (dating all over again!) I used to watch that S&TC episode after I moved where Carrie's in Paris missing her friends and walks past a cafe and looks through the window and sees a group of girlfriends giggling and she gets really sad... I cried so much when I watched that. But you will make fabulous friends soon, just remember not to rush it all and let it come naturally. And till then have your coffee morning here! Good luck!

loveverona · 17/09/2007 11:40

Thanks Har27 - it's great to hear from someone who's be there and done it. Feeling much happier already! Love Mumsnet, only just got into it really but it really helps to chat things through, or just to know you're heard when you have a down day. Thanks xx

Excitable · 17/09/2007 12:36

Poor loveverona I've lived in new areas too and it is hard. Sometimes you just need your best friends. I hope we can be a good substitute in the meantime.

Moving to a new area takes a lot of courage - you must be really brave.

GardenAngel4 · 17/09/2007 12:47

Hi loveverona, I can sympathise too. I moved to opposite ends of the country a few years ago, left family, friends, job the lot. It's always much harder as an adult somehow to make friends. I work from home so it was even harder. But when the BFP comes for you, NCT was a god send and antenatally and postnatally a whole new world opens up. Keep strong.

Bucky2007 · 17/09/2007 13:03

Hi just me here, lots of new faces over here .

I am on the September thread too, but can I join in officially now? I thought I was a bit to far along to qualify for an Oct BFP but if nobody minds I would like to hang out here too?

Hello all....been away for a few days and I miss so much..think i've caught up.....hi to all the newbies....which makes me officially no longer a newbie. Oh and hi [waves] to loveverona cycle buddy for me and Libralady.
Had a bit of a shock this morning...have just started using persona moniter, been weeing on sticks nearly everyday for last 20 days....I have thought over the last 6 months of ttc that I ov'd in the middle of my cycle...cd13 - cd15 or so....of course bd'ing like mad at these points and more sporadic the rest of the month, or to be honest recovering from a manic week....anyway cd20 thought that was it for this month...half asleep this morning peed in stick got an egg sign rushed into dh and made his morning I think
So no wonder I was having a hard time ttc.....I didn't realise you could ov so late in your cycle...
