At the risk of jinxing myself by starting this thread I'm hoping it's actually quite therapeutic to let go of September. The next few weeks are all about bd'ing and for those in the same boat, we can start looking forward to an October full of BFPs.

After a 41 day cycle I'm back to CD1, anyone else care to join me?

Excitable DH and I have been together for almost 8 years now. We only got married in June this year!
Orginally decided we would start trying next year but DH has come round to my way of thinking..( with a little bit of a nudge from me!)
Really hoping that Oct is our month as the estimated due date would be next June (16th)-- our wedding anniversary!!

We are both about the same in our cycle so we can share symptoms -Cycle buddies

Actually, I don't really want a June baby as my birthday is in June and two of my friends have already had babies on my birthday! (Must the only person in the world this has happened to!) It's way way too confusing if I have a baby on that day too... hopefully it doesn't really matter as it's still early days. If I've had a couple of AFs, does that mean that the pill is out of my system now? I've definitely had some EWCM, but is that significant in any way? SO many questions...

Already, I'm pleased to be talking about this - it's been burning a hole in me - I'm not very secretive at the best of times, but I don't want to MC and have to tell people, that would be too .

pigleychez · 15/09/2007 20:28

I know what you mean..

We havent told our parents yet as as you say its early days yet and we dont want the pressure.

Ive told a few close friends and one work colleague who I work closely with. I find it so hard not talking about it all the time.
Find myself having to stop mid sentence as im about to say something I shouldnt

Its nice to have like-minded people on here to talk to.

Not sure about coming off the pill as I was never on the pill to start with. Never have been as I have a phobia of swallowing things- Odd I know!

Im sure someone on here will be able to help you on that one.

We haven't told parents either, but oddly, it's not them that I want to tell. IL's would be way too excited and it's so hard to get a word in with my Mum, it's often easier not to bother. Haven't spoken to my Dad since we've been ttc (he's great when I do talk to him, but a bit sporadic as a parent!) and that's going to be hard as he takes more of an interest in my life. I want to tell my friends and feel a bit of bitch for being silent. They would love to help me go through this. Maybe I should tell them and not tell DH that I have. Have already let it slip to some work colleagues that he'll never meet, but they don't know me like my friends do...

I've been surprised at how obsessed I've been with ttc. I take most things in my stride, but this is just way too important. Not a day goes past when I don't think about it.

pigleychez · 15/09/2007 21:06

The work collegue ive told is because we work closely together 5 days a week and like to have a good natter
Plus then she understands if im feeling crappy or need to run off to be sick lol!

Im a bit of a control freak and that fact that its out of my hands drives me crazy! Im also incredible impatient and the 2ww wait is sooo frustrating!
Just hoping that it doesnt take us too long.

Excitable · 15/09/2007 21:12

'Course it won't take us too long! There's no evidence at all that we won't have a BFP in October or November - either would be fine for me really. In fact, November would be better than October. Then I have longer to get used to the idea of childbirth, which is freaking me out!! Sometimes it's all too grownup!

pigleychez · 15/09/2007 21:19

I know exctly how you feel!!

Then again I think its good to feel like that... shows you reaslise the seriousness of it all.. the responsibility of bringing a child into the world.

ooh that sounds abit grown up doesnt it!!

How old are you excitable?
Im 26.

Excitable · 15/09/2007 21:39

I'm 31 and still pretty scared about bringing a child into the world! I'm still getting used to the idea of being PG. Give us a chance!

Excitable · 15/09/2007 21:58

Feel like a collection of contradicting feelings. Really scared to conceive and yet really want to!

PicknMix · 16/09/2007 07:51

Hello, please could I join you guys? AF has finally, after a very long wait (45 days), turned up! So will definitely be joining you in testing in Oct. Although, DH and I'm going away at the end of Oct to OZ for a month so DH is a bit wary of trying this month. I'm not sure if its logical either... What do you all think?? (The reason he's wary is that I had a mc at 6 weeks back in Jan, obviously don't want to be away if the same thing happens again).

Sorry to waffle on my first post....

Have updated the stats, hope that was ok?

Emmsy · 16/09/2007 08:45

Thought it's best to join this thread if that's ok? I do recognize a few names already. Hello to everyone.
I have already got 4 children, 3boys and a girl, my DH and I have been TTC since August 2006 I managed to get pregnant 2 times but miscarried on 30th April 07 and September 9th 07 last day spotting was on friday 14th so don't really know where I am up to with my cycle. I have already started using internet "o" sticks and my Temp's have not completely gone down since M/C (they are showing post ov temps) My "o" showed a ++ on Tuesday 11th but nh101 seems to think that it would have been caused by the small amounts of HCG that was left in my system. I finally tested - on the HPT on Thursday so my body should be getting back to normal soon.
My "C" lenghts have always been 28-29 days but since my last M/C 30th April they have been 29-31? so god knows where I am up to.
Sorry for the waffle but now that's out of the way my posts can be shorter!

Emmsy I've added you and I to the list. Really sorry to hear about your MCs.
I'm sure it won't be long before you go flying down it. You seem fairly positive and I am in admiration.

PicknMix I think I'd keep trying - Oz or no Oz. I wouldn't really want to be anywhere at all if it happened again, but what if it doesn't happen? You might be more relaxed on holiday and it'd be great to be able to tell DC they were conceived in Australia.

GardenAngel4 · 16/09/2007 10:43

Hello all,

Could I join this thread?? Is there room? Am TTC2 (have DD 5months - !). not sure what day but am approaching Cycle 2 if nothing happens soon......

TwilightSurfer · 16/09/2007 14:18

to all new arrivals. October list is growing and growing. That's a very good sign.

PicknMix I'm in agreement with Excitable, musn't worry. Holiday is always good. Go, relax and let the positive experience help you obtain the BFP that won't be lost.

Oh, Excitable and Pigleychez I think we all have a NEED to talk about every aspect of ttc without pressure and ultimately fear of failure. Look at me after 13 cycles. If I hadn't had MN as an outlet my RL friends and family would be moving to Africa by now to get away from me. So just let it all out.

That said, I'm very excited to say I feel BDings been very productive. CM perfect pre-O CD11 so took full advantage of CD12. Oddly morning of CD14 felt what must have been O. Very sore between hip bones then it felt like I sat on a needle that pierced my cervix. Discomfort was very brief then felt perfectly wonderful. So BDed that evening and this morning. Sorry TMM . I guess I've been trying for so long now that second guessing all those 2WW feelings isn't all I'm doing. Any body else think they "know" or "feel" when they O??

Here's to another glorius day!!!

TwilightSurfer · 16/09/2007 14:28

oops TMM should be TMI
TOO MUCH INFORMATION
One day soon I will learn how to type.

Excitable · 16/09/2007 14:42

Really enjoying this space to let it all out. DH is looking a bit like a weight has been lifted! Although he is referring to this as your "potty little pregnancy website." I'll get him with another hormone attack later in the week - that'll learn 'im! I really am living up to my name here and the poor man is turning "You're probably not PG yet" into a mantra

Thanks for writing the stuff about "O" Twighlight Surfer, this is the stuff we all wonder about. Let's declare a "No Such Thing as TMI Zone" I think I would have acted on feelings like that too. I'm already finding myself staring at my stomach and whispering "Is anybody in there?" to it when I'm alone How exciting if this is the one for you - surely it's your turn for a BFP now!

Having only really had one cycle since I came off the pill, I'm not sure if it really counts, but definitely wanted to BD all day and all night around the middle of that cycle for a week. So lucky we were on holiday - no man at work would have been safe . Can't say I've felt any physical signs yet, but I'll be watching out for them now.

calebsmum · 16/09/2007 15:02

Hi, another one for the list! I was on the 2ww thread but am now hoping that October will be my month. Am ttc no2, have a ds who's 2.7mths.

TwilightSurfer · 16/09/2007 15:17

Excitable I've been on and off the pill several times in my life (36 now). The older I've gotten the more .... the stronger my mojo after coming off the pill. DH has never minded of course but did notice the change. Glad to hear you too get to enjoy the post-pill party. Here's another secret: You think it's good now just wait till after you have your first bamino. I say every female should have at least one child JUST for that reason.

TwilightSurfer · 16/09/2007 15:23

Again...I can't type.
Bamino should read Bambino!

AbRoller · 16/09/2007 15:37

Good afternoon, hope you're all having a lovely day.

Hi and welcome to excitable, calebsmum, GA4, P&M and Emmsy. (hope I haven't missed anybody)

SK I'm looking into getting a prepaid credit card as I can't resist temptation either

Glad to see I'm not the only one who sneaks to the babyclothes section on every shopping trip!

CD8 today lots of bd practice

Excitable · 16/09/2007 15:38

Woo-hoo! Excitable runs off to tie DH to the bed...

debinaustria · 16/09/2007 19:28

LOL Exciteable - have you let him go yet?

Deb

kirstygem · 16/09/2007 20:23

Evening ladies. Had busy weekend BDing as DH been away a week. Ov sticks still say not ovulating yet but no harm in BDing anyway. Would definately agree with Excitable about feeling frisky after coming off pill. We have had a lot less BDing since DD 16months but this past couple weeks I be raring to go. Think it prob coming off pill and excitment that we TTC again.

Anyone know good place to buy ov sticks? I bouht pack 7 Clearblue in Tesco and they were £20 which i thought prety steep.

kirstygem · 16/09/2007 20:24

I am ashamed of myself for the number of spelling errors in that last post. You would never believe I am a teacher

digitalgirl · 16/09/2007 20:39

Hello newcomers!
[dg waves to picknmix]

have had a busy weekend, so not so much time to MN, check ov calculators or look at calendars twenty times a day to wonder when my fertile period will be. i think it starts next weekend...but getting mixed message from my CM already. Wondering if that's from gulping gallons of grapefruit juice.

hooray for the growing thread - law of averages say we should get at least 8 bfps!!
