Never used an app so I really wouldn't know 😔 I just tend to go with the opks and hope for the best! Worked the first time.... Doesn't seem so easy second time around somehow though. 🤔

NicoleR14 · 15/03/2020 09:54

@mayday27 it does it tells you if it's low high or peak I'll show you mine from last month! @ArjaD sorry to hear your works been cancelled I go back to work on Tuesday and I'm quiet frightened as I'm a cleaner and scared to touch anything!

@NicoleR14 thank you! Do you find the app quite accurate? And have you seen that the lightening can affect the results? I'm completely new to all this! Will take another test tonight and see what it says, we've been dtd anyway just because it's said on the Ovia app I should be in my fertile window

NicoleR14 · 15/03/2020 10:28

@mayday27 I do find it quite accurate I found it in January after using them for 2 months and didn't know when my peak was but if you do it in the same light each time it should give you an accurate reading I'd take the photos in the bathroom where there's more light!

Feeling a bit disheartened today we picked up my in laws from there friends last night after having a few drinks and the next door neighbour was in and she announced that she was pregnant but waiting to confirm it but also she was drinking a full bottle of rum with barely anything to water it down a bit and telling us she didn't want it and is happily awaiting an abortion my heart literally crumbed when I heard what she said and seen what she was doing I don't judge her because I understand everyone is different she is an older woman who already has children but I couldn't help but feel so hurt and how long it's taken us to conceive our first and this woman who is blessed with this wee bundle of joy can't wait to get rid of it its a hard thing to see!

Omg @NicoleR14 that is heartbreaking 😳😣😣😣

NicoleR14 · 15/03/2020 11:10

@ArjaD it's so horrible I don't think it's something that would have bothered me too much before ttc but I was so heartbroken last night (keeping in mind I cried most of the day anyway and being over emotion and extremely emotional today) but it was so upsetting to watch knowing its something I crave so bad and she just doesn't care about the poor baby that's growing inside her!

OP posts:
ArjaD · 15/03/2020 11:30

She sounds awful. Especially drinking so much on top of it all. Someone to stay away from I'd say 🙄

NicoleR14 · 15/03/2020 11:38

@ArjaD I agree I don't usually see her it's an odd time if she comes over to my inlaws friends for a couple of drinks but she had said it to us a few weeks ago and we laughed it off as she's nearly 50 my mother in law told her she was going through the change but she insisted she was pregnant and then last night had announced it and had said she couldn't wait to get rid of it and my heart just crumbled in bits! But we can't control everything even though I'd love to slap the fuck out of her I don't judge her for her decision!

MayDay27 · 15/03/2020 11:38

@NicoleR14 so sorry that must have been awful xx

dizzy85 · 15/03/2020 12:02

Hello all I'm back lol! Had a few days off whilst af was in town she seems to be packing up getting ready to leave now at last!!
Hello to all the new people 👋🏼I have had a little scan through the new thread but I'll give it a proper read later so I can catch up properly, but how's everyone doing?
How many DPO s? Anyone testing yet?

NicoleR14 · 15/03/2020 12:37

@dizzy85 hi! Glad to hear af is nearly away and you can get dtd again! I should be 2dpo today but I haven't been tracking and I feel like I ovulated early because of all the ewcm I had last Saturday I haven't had any since! How have you been?

OP posts:
ArjaD · 15/03/2020 12:37

Hey @dizzy85, nearly time for you to try again, yay 😁😁😁 6dpo here. May start testing tomorrow as I'm going insane......

MayDay27 · 15/03/2020 14:16

Sorry to bring it up on this post but on another thread someone is saying it's very irresponsible to be TTC with Coronavirus around. All the info I've seen has stated that they don't believe it will be a problem so I was thinking although it wouldn't be ideal it's not a major issue. They've said that there's no proof it won't cause birth defects etc and therefore should stop TTC until the threat passes. I am 30 as far as I know fit and healthy although this is my first time TTC so not sure how easy it will be but I wouldn't say I was in a rush, I could wait till Coronavirus passes. I guess I'm now just a little worried that the person is right?!

dizzy85 · 15/03/2020 14:55

@NicoleR14 I'm ok Thankyou, although I have been feeling abit ill since Friday with a sore throat and stuff and all this virus business is making me paranoid plus we've just had our first confirmed case in our city so it does make you more paranoid doesn't it. Hope the tww goes quick did you manage to dtd much? I will be getting on the case soon.

@ArjaD ooh getting to that stage now then, I started testing from 8dpo last month which broke the wait up but I spent a fortune on tests 😆 good luck if you do test tomorrow 🤞🏻

dizzy85 · 15/03/2020 15:03

@MayDay27 I have been abit worried about it but for me personally I don't want to have to put ttc on hold I'm 34 and trying for our first and I don't want to waste any time as we've already been trying for ages and had a few miscarriages and I just think times not really on my side to wait but I definitely understand if ppl do put it on hold because of the uncertainty, I mean if the government say that it's a bad idea and it will cause problems then obviously I will but I only believe the stuff I read from reputable sources as there's so much "fake news" and hearsay going around about it all, I guess that nobody really knows much about it yet either so I think that's the part that's causing more worry. Roll on when it's all over and things are normal again.

Maidmummy · 15/03/2020 16:09

Hi all, 2dpo today and this 2ww is going to drag I just know it 😔

As for the Corona virus I'm sure i read somewhere that it shouldn't have a major effect on mother and unborn baby unless there is also underlying health conditions with the mother, besides it's suppose to reach it's peak in a few weeks and hopefully after that cases will start falling x

Donnat89 · 15/03/2020 16:28

Hi all , 7DPO here . Not really feeling like testi by yet and I've been pretty chilled about
It all .

Just literally a waiting game ,have started to get slight back aches today which is a sign AF will be coming so I've a feeling I'm out again this month but guess will only know when AF shows ... 1 week to go !

Hope everyone is ok x

ArjaD · 15/03/2020 16:30

You said it @dizzy85, I 100% agree. I'm 36 and this is the 6th cycle trying for baby nr 2. I feel more stressed about time not being on my side than the virus...

ArjaD · 16/03/2020 08:20

How is everyone? 7dpo and desperately trying not to test 😂

Sungirl11 · 16/03/2020 08:23

Girls! You chat so much!!
I'm on your same boat girls... 32 soon and 1st child so can't really waste time if we want to have a couple of babys... also been ttc for almost a year now.
My hubs is a nurse and not very bothered about the virus haha he has never been very fussy tbh.
I have just started af... so out out again! My results for blood test (progesterone) and urine have come back so will call today and see what they say.
Meanwhile girls cheers from BKK

Second thread for ttc!
Donnat89 · 16/03/2020 08:27

@ArjaD I'm 8DPO today and in the same boat

I'm pretty sure I'm ok have slight back ache which started yesterday which is a sign of AF but nothing apart from that .

Not feeling very confident hows everyone else doing

ArjaD · 16/03/2020 09:36

When are you thinking of testing @Donnat89? I always have a sore back these days so for me that's not even a symptom anymore 😂 have had some creamy cm but that's not abnormal about a week before at either. Not that I'm symptom spotting 😏

Donnat89 · 16/03/2020 09:49

@ArjaD I want to hold out until weekend if I can , apart from back ache I've had no other symptoms and the back ache is only very slight .i sort of give up with symptom spotting now as tbh it doesn't really help !

When do you plan on testing ?

ArjaD · 16/03/2020 10:23

@Donnat89 I may cave soon. I always do 🤣 I'll let you know. I keep telling myself i have no symptoms but it's hard not to look for any....
