@MayDay27 it's best to test 2 times a day in case you miss your surge they generally recommend 10am to no later than 8pmnanf not to use first morning urine as it can give out a false result. If you are most fertile on Tuesday then your test should be positive Sunday/monday. To tag people if you put the @ sign before you type their name a drop down box will appear and just pick the one you want from the list x

@Maidmummy thank you! Testing two times a day may mean having to do so at work haha sorry for another question but are you trying to test for the surge so you can have sex right at that moment or is sometime that day fine? Just when you say the surge comes and goes

@MayDay27 the surge typically only happens once, once you get the positive opk it's indicating that you may be ovulating in the next 24-48 hours so start having sex once you get that positive opk and the days leading up to it, ideally you want the sperm up there waiting before the egg releases, I'm doing the sperm meets egg plan which has great success and it advises having sex every other day until you get a positive opk once you have your positive have sex 3 days in a row miss a day then do it one last time. Any time of the day is fine I got my positive opk in the morning around 10am and didn't have sex until 10pm that night x

@Maidmummy I'll do the same the DP will be thrilled haha should I be worried at all that I've had a negative test yesterday but my app says I should be in my fertile window today? I've never tested before and so don't even know if I ovulate as normal, I suppose I was expecting to be showing some kind of positive and feel a bit worried now it wasn't

I am sorry for so many questions! I just can't ask anyone else

@MayDay27 depends how long your fertile window is mines 5 days yet I only get the positive ovulation test the day before I ovulate so that's technically on my 4th fertile day, hopefully it starts to darken over the next couple of days x

@Maidmummy I'll test again after work hopefully it will be darker! I feel ridiculously excited about TTC I know it could be bad news each month but it feels good to have something to concentrate on especially atm with corona! How long have you been trying?

Morning ladies, love our chat. @ArjaD I did my first opk 11pm last night was negative. 8am this morning a really dark peak, still dtd last night and this morning so I'm hoping there is some there to meet the egg like what @Maidmummy has said! Who knows but I'm going to really try hard again this month! Just shows if I never did another opk I could've missed my peak! Xx

@ArjaD well that's one way to put you off thinking about it 😂 I don't know what to try different this month we only dtd 3 times so I doubt it'll catch anyway as dh is still terrified of this virus but I can only hope!

@ArjaD I can't help myself, once my youngest is out of the baby stage walking around and doing things for themselves I get broody again 😂 not only that this will be my first with DP he has 2 girls with his ex and he's desperate for a boy lol. My 3 year old has only just become fully potty trained but still doesn't stop him missing nearly every time he has a wee, I swear I must follow him around the house all day with the mop in my hand waiting 😂

Hi ladies just catching up ! I'm 6DPO today ..... so will be heading into the second week tomorrow that's when the symptoms of AF start for me so I'm dreading it .

Hey, just checking in, think around 7dpo and dying to start testing but I no it is far too early for anything to show 😔
Trying not to symptom spot but I seem to be noticing everything now 😩 had mild cranking and weird feeling right hand side of lower abdomen for 5 days after ovulation and now nothing, not sure if it's a good or bad sign 😂
How's everyone else doing?

I've just done some more ovulation sticks and they just stay blank! I'm not sure if I'm doing them wrong or they are just taking longer to show but so far none of them have had any lines appear!

@MayDay27 don't worry, the lines can vary a lot from day to day and then suddenly you can have a glaring positive! Stick with it 😁

@ArjaD I don't think I was giving them enough time, I left it for an hour and came back and there were the lines and I think slightly darker than yesterday! Are the results still valid if they take so long to appear?

Well they say you can discard after 30 mins but i usually think it must be valid after that to some degree 🤔

@Donnat89 how are you feeling? 6dpo for me and just feeling restless with the state the world is in and my work getting cancelled etc.

@ArjaD hoping it will be a positive soon! My app that I scan them into says it's high, I was assuming it reads low, high and then positive and peak? I'm glad I have something else to focus on, trying not to think too much about current situations
