Ready is having difficulty in getting on the other thread due to length of it, so started a new one.

Ready - big hugs from me, horrible having cold and pmt, not fair, please get that dh of yours to be extra extra nice to you tonight, you deserve the best.

Rah - are you having your appt soon? Just been thinking of you.

hi to minxi, thinking and nappy, waves to little too.

RahRah1 · 23/10/2007 16:52

Thanks Rainbowdays.... Yep I called them and we are starting treatment in Jan 08. I had a letter through yesterday to invite me and DH into the clinic for a HIV & Hep C/B tests, so having that done this week. I had them done when I was pregnant, but they want it again Also we have been invited to a group session with 10 other couples to ask questions and have a presentation on the treatment... should be loads of fun!
I know I will spend most of my time looking round the room thinking about everyone else that is there... I hate situations like that, I prefer something more personal. IYKWIM.

Ready - I meant I am 12 months down the line now and should I get one for the next couple of months? I would love to catch prior to going through the treatment...Did you know there is also a higher M/C rate for those that have treatment. Proving getting pregnant naturally is always the best course of action. ..OK confession... I am getting wound up about the treatment... I'm being stupid really... I should be positive about it all, least we are being given a chance, some couple never get that.

Oh... hahaha Rah - you meant now - Go for it. I don't think it can hurt, the OPKs are causing you more stress than you need at times, and so I reckon something that is a little more scientific might be a good thing. What were you thinking of getting?

RahRah1 · 23/10/2007 18:28

a clear blue monitor

OP posts:
ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 23/10/2007 18:31

Sorry rah I am crap aren't I?? - your message clearly said you had read up on the clear blue monitors. Feel free to slap me for being such a nit. I think there is a thread on here with people doing a trial with them - in fact, Gilly on our "forever" thread uses one I think - ask her what she thinks

DracuRAH · 23/10/2007 19:52

Hi all,

Hope you are all well.

Well I have been taking a break from ttc for the last month or so and I can't believe I am able to say this but yesterday I got my BFP .

Just wanted to come on and thank you for all your supportive comments over the last year, this was my 13th cycle ttc and I'm still in shock obviously very early days yet.

I so hope you all follow with your BFP's soon.

DracuRAH · 24/10/2007 15:30

Many congratulations Gracie.... That break obviously worked well! So pleased for you.

Minxi... love the name... I've had a look on ebay and they are quite expensive, but reckon you can get one for about £60. I think I'm defo going to get one. If it works I think it will take quite a bit of pressure off, i hope

Waves to everyone else!

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 24/10/2007 22:13

Congratulations Gracie - Lucky 13 All the very best - enjoy your pregnancy

MonsterMinx - Great names - you are all much more inventive than me. I am not planning on getting a monitor just yet, got too much going on in RL to think about adding another thing to concentrate on Hope you get a good deal on ebay

I feel like total and utter shoite today Full of cold, pre-menstrual and over-the-top emotional Sick to death of being such a failure.

Sorry

monsterminx · 24/10/2007 22:37

greedygreedyguzzler · 25/10/2007 17:05

OH............and you are NOT a failure, you are (or appear to be on here, obviously in RL you could be a psychopath!) a lovely person who is just struggling a bit with TTC. doesn't make you a failure, just means your body has decided to let you wait a bit longer before it makes you feel like shit for 9 months!

have some more rose!

Thinking · 25/10/2007 17:12

Gracie OMG, Congratulations and I hope you have a very happy, healthy nine months. I am so happy to hear about your BFP. Promise you will keep posting on here with the ultra sound pictures etc.

Ready so sorry to read your period came. Hope you are having a big glass of wine tonight.

I am debating about having a glass of wine myself. I am 99.9% sure I'm not pregnant as we didn't have an action at the right time.
So should I just have a glass or should I get a test just to be sure. Buying a test is a waste of money. AF is due around now but it will be a fair few days yet as I have not seen my pre-period cramps yet, just sore breasts.

Decisions, decisions

monsterminx · 25/10/2007 18:48

Ready f&%$ghj(&% like greedy says go and drink several 'bottles' of Rose!!! hugs for you

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 25/10/2007 19:36

I know Thanks Minxi Thinking - think of it this way, if you had a glass of wine and you realised you were pregnant would you torture yourself for that 1 glass? If you would, then don't have it. But honestly, 1 glass won't hurt any baby. IMO.

monsterminx · 25/10/2007 19:49

why is it that mumsnet has gone to book style reading for me? very strange ?

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 25/10/2007 21:07

It is their new gimmick - I am not keen. Go to "customise talk board" at the top of the screen, near the "active convos" and all that, and you can set it to what you like. I have chosen "unlimited" so that all the posts are on one page

Thinking · 25/10/2007 22:53

Well, as my DD has just gone to bed and I still have ironing to do, I'm going to pass on the wine.

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 25/10/2007 23:10

I passed on the wine too

Sorry Ready but my body has predictably and at exactly 9DPO decided to not leave you lonely at the top.

Had horrid PMT on 24th as that was my birthday and DH come home in grumpy mood and I burst into tears!!! . It was a miserable birthday, as it made me think that I may still not be pregnant when I turn 35 next year!!

Still have picked myself up now and am focusing on seeing consultant in a few weeks as well as spending 4 nights in lovely hotel next week (will be offline I think) doing training for new business.

I really must make a list of questions to ask the consultant, as I came out last time with all sorts of questions later!

greedy hello there

rah/minxi/ready LOVE the new names! fab

gracie thank you SO MUCH for sharing such wonderful happy news. Well done you and hope all goes well. x x x
