@Hatepickinganame so far so good! I'm the same, planning to wait until the Thursday as AF could come Tuesday or Wednesday so want to make sure it's late.

Of course bodies like to play tricks when TTC so who knows what's going on!

Last minute hope is weird! I'm waiting to come on today and am focussing on having a delicious gin later, but I've still definitely got a small voice going 'But what if....'.

Still no AF for me today! Got all sorts of wierd sensations going on- but I think I'm OVER symptom spotting!!
I just feel like whenever the next time I go to the loo I will have come on... So I definitely have no hope for this month! But anyways fingers crossed I can test on Sunday if AF has not turned up. On Sunday AF will be 5days late.
Hoping with all my might that I don't come on before then!!!!!

@jellybean252 ah keeping everything crossed for you! Im currently resisting the urge to use my tesco cheap test... ugh why is it one minute i dont want to do it til the weekend the next im desperate to do it now 😂

So I tested with a FRER ladies ...I had a white line, transparent line but no pink (I’m guessing some faulty test)
So like the psycho that I am...took the test apart and I have pink dye on the EDGES...not even where it’s supposed to be and that dangerous hope is coming back 😭😭 Someone slap sense into me?

@MrsTwentySeven I've never (yet!) taken a test apart so don't have any sensible advice to give, but I've got everything crossed for you! Try testing again tomorrow?

Hi everyone! I'm new here so this is my first ever post! Can I join you all?

I'm in the TWW too (for first baby) Been DTD every other day since CD7 (27th Jan) so feel like there must be a chance for this cycle. Thought it would be a good idea to test on Valentine's Day for a few reasons:

Firstly it would be amazing to get anything positive that day as we're having a date night at home (nothing fancy, just a takeaway!). I'd love to surprise DH

Also it would be CD25 so 4 days before next period which is when Clear Blue digital says I can start testing. Also have another cheap early test you can take up to 6 days before expected period

Finally, I have no idea when I ovulate but if it's the average CD14 then it would be 11DPO.

It just feels like it would be a good time to test and would be amazing to tell DH that night, but trying not to get my hopes up as I am fully aware it could take months/years to get a BFP.

If it doesn't happen this month after DTD every other day then I may do some cheap OPKs next month just to be sure I am actually ovulating.

It would be lovely to chat to anyone who can relate/is in their TWW like me. I have some weird things going on but not sure if they're symptoms... Going a bit crazy over here!

@MrsTwentySeven Oh ffs! I've read on here that this can be an issue with them? How unhelpful though!

How many dpo are you? (Lose track).
Is it worth doing another tomorrow? Or trying a different brand if you are far along enough?

@paintfairy right ?? Last thing we need! I’m 14dpo...period was due today. Tbh there was no link line in the window so I’m deffo out 🙈 but the pink on the edges is the only annoying hope I have. DH has told me to stop being crazy and wait till next week 😭

@MrsTwentySeven I was looking at my FRER for ages trying to find a hint of a line, then I remembered someone said to shine your phone torch from behind. Stupid me got my hopes up before realising it was just the ridges on back of the test 🤦🏻‍♀️

Got hideous cramps right now, bad enough that I'm going to need some ibuprofen and a hot water bottle shortly so it looks like AF is on her way!

Having a chocolate and wine night tonight, just in case I get a BFP, want to make sure I've enjoyed my wine this week 🤣

@professorastrocat I’m going to hold off till next week , DH has banned me from testing.
I wonder if I had an LH surge but didn’t ovulate or ovulated late or something :( Because it doesn’t make sense why period is late and BFN 😭

@MrsTwentySeven ah sorry about the bfn, defo hold off testing for a couple of days, i keep reading on here that periods arent late, ovulation is so maybe youre right?

Day 28 for me, period officially a whole day late. Im now thinking the same, and i actually ov'd on cd14/15 when i got the second lot of ewcm and cramping so by that theory af should show up tomorrow....

@Hatepickinganame I'm super impressed that you haven't tested yet! Are you testing tomorrow?

Still no boob tenderness for me, no other symptoms. Now 9/10 dpo. AF due Tues or Weds next week. I thought the first week of TWW was fine but it is starting to drag now!

Got a busy weekend though which should help, and busy at work next week.

Ladies I'd appreciate your opinions...

I'm only 5dpo and not testing for a while yet however I'm not sure what to do when the time does come... Do I test before af is due or wait until she's late?

In my last cycle I tested 13dpo and had a faint positive and continued to have faint positives for a few days before it turned to a BFN and af arrived 8 days "late" but it was a chemical. I can't decide if I should test around 13/14dpo to see if I get any faint lines or just wait and see.

I feel like even tho it's heart breaking to get your hopes up for a BFP and for it to get stronger, part of me feels like I also want to know if I've experienced another chemical. Because surely its good information to have if you're struggling to concieve so you know you have concieve but the bean isn't sticking... DH on the other hand feels that that approach is just putting yourself through more heart ache.

Obviously I'm only on cycle 2 TTC and am by no means "struggling to concieve" I'm just thinking ahead just incase...

Thoughts? 🤔

@Dreamer022020 hi and welcome! I love your valentines day plan, although clear blue are apparently not that sensitive from what ive read on here, every one recommends frers if its a bit of an early test 😊 im also thinking of investing in some opks just to confirm when/if i ovulate. Im starting to feel like i cant rely on the signs as i seem to get ewcm several times over the fertile window and this cycle i also had cramping twice, 5 days apart... this ttc thing is so frustrating 😂

@Lola871 i was talking to oh about this last night, due to our shifts there is no way i can do a test with him there until the 15th! Working all weekend so might try to hold out a little longer and test monday if he doesnt mind....

My boobs hurt like crazy, without being squeezed or poked i might add. Having the odd random cramp but nothing like ive gotten with my last two af. I still dont think im pregnant though, i just think my body is tricking me.

@Sausage1990 id try and wait if you can. Theres nothing more disappointing than that blank white test and i did a couple of early ones this cycle, all bfn and af is now officially late 🙄

@Sausage1990 I personally don't want to test until I'm a day late, as it just feels like a waste to me if AF then shows up. But I can understand people wanting to test early as it is tempting to get the wait over with, but if it's negative you still end up waiting anyway because you aren't out yet etc.

@Hatepickinganame I'm planning on doing my testing without OH, not sure why tbh but I guess I don't want him to get his hopes up and it be negative. His understanding on all things TTC is very limited!
