Good luck Runtus!!!

Cobweb, we are all pleased to have you around - it means we've got one graduate on this thread already . How are you doing?

Sweetheart, it's not stop fun for you so far this week - socialising on a Monday? I am impressed!

sweetheart · 04/10/2004 16:13

lol Mrs Wednesday!!!!

I'm meeting up with an old friend - we have to arrange dates about 2 months in advance to be sure we'll both be available.

Plus Mondays is my weight watchers weigh in so I can go and eat/drink whatever I want without feeling guilty!!!

MrsWednesday · 04/10/2004 16:46

Well I shall be sat unsociably on the settee tonight!

I think alterego could do with some hugs - has anyone seen her message on the TTC after m/c thread?

jeddah · 04/10/2004 17:13

Hi everyone!
I am a new member and cheesed off!!

Been trying for 10 months to concieve and using OPK and I am 40yrs old!

Anyone out there with some tips!!!! never know it was so bloody difficult to get preggers!

Cobweb · 04/10/2004 17:22

Thank you so much Sweetheart, Runtus, Minnie1, CP3 and MrsWednesday BIG HUGS

I am feeling ok. I went to see my doc last Wednesday just to have a chat about what happened last time. I spent the first 15 minutes in tears with worries and anxiety and the rest of it totally calm and level headed. So I guess it must be the hormones laugh

A few symptoms have kicked in like feeling sicky in the morning and in the evening and I have very very sore boobies and going to the loo every five minutes LOL

Trouble is like I said to the doctor that I am too scared even to acknowledge these symptoms and he said that every pregnancy is different and that the miscarriage happened for a very very good reason, which I know but its still good to get reassurance from the doc.

Once a few more weeks pass I hope that I can relax and enjoy it.

Thank you so much for listening to my rants hugs

Runtus darling I wish you all the luck in the world for the testing.

Thank you again love Cobweb xxx

Hulababy · 04/10/2004 17:27

Hi Cobweb; good to hear you are doing well, even if (understandably) a bit scared and nervous. Take care, and come and give us all lots of encouragment.

Hi jeddah and welcome

Cobweb · 04/10/2004 17:30

Sorry I forgot to say hi Jeddah. Welcome xxx

hester · 04/10/2004 19:00

Hi Cobweb - I'm thrilled you've come to share your babydust with us!

Hi Jeddah - I'm 40 too and have been trying for ages . It's really tough but the thing to remember is that most women our age CAN get pregnant, but it can take way longer - 18 mths to 2 years is not uncommon. Will this be your first child? Have you seen your doctor for a fertility check-up?

Hi krocket - I'm with you in spirit! CD19 and already getting aches and twinges. I MUCH prefer the (rare) months when I have no symptoms until AF starts. That way you get a couple of hours feeling upset, but most of the month is manageable. But this way you can't forget about it, you can't be absolutely sure you're not pregnant, and you can't be happy for over a week. It stinks!

Hulababy · 04/10/2004 22:21

Just a norte to Sweetheart - hi; how are you. I really hope your thread tonight hasn't upset or bothered you too much. I too have a little one with plenty of toys - and she's only 2.5, but she's the only child, only grandchild on both sides etc. so she is bound to get lots. I think you are doing fine and sked a genuine question. Sorry that some of the posts were not constructive in any way Take care; hope to see you back on here soon too

Miaou · 04/10/2004 22:30

Hi there Sweetheart, I didn't get involved in the other thread Hula's referring to as I always run a mile from any disagreements (!), but just want to add my support for you here. Hula put a great post on the other thread at 10.16 which I echo entirely. All the best to you

roisin · 04/10/2004 22:36

I agree with Miaou and Hulababy; FWIW Sweetheart I thought you were very wise to pull out when you did, rather than continuing to post.

Roisin

Tania2 · 05/10/2004 05:14

G'day girls,

Welcome Jeddah hope we can all support you here and i wish you lots of luck. we have been ttc #2 for the same amount of time as you i know it seems like forever.
Cobweb you are always welcome here but iam sure you already know that. Hope you are feeling well.
Sweetheart i hope you had a great night last night and made the most of it after your weigh in. I know what you mean about living it up after the weigh in i did that when i was on sure slim but i changed my appointments to friday so i could induldge on the w/end and feel good because i had confirmation that i had lost weight. Way to go!!
How did you go testing last night runtus hope you got a BFP.
Iam on CD9 but have been getting that feeling of af arriving its like a dull ache in my pelvis and a bit through my back, could i be oving i did a ov test this morning but it didnt show that i was. Does anyone know what this would be?

AussieSim · 05/10/2004 07:03

Hi All. Quick update on me. TTC2 DS is 20mths, CD11 so time to get down to work. Trying for 7mths so far. I hope this is a disproportionately lucky lucky thread.

Tessiebear · 05/10/2004 07:46

Hi All,
Hope you are all ok. Welcome Jeddah - hope this thread is lucky for you!
MommyD - the friend of mine we were talking about had a girl!!!!! (her first child was a boy!)

Good luck Runtus!!!

Me CD - 20 something - feeling fed up this month now - got more stretchy CM last night but no chance of BDing as me and DH were not really talking (always happens when my credit card bill arrives!)

Is there any other cause for increased/stretchy CM as i am sure that this was late for OVing? (thought i was due this weekend) Anyway got sore boobs and feel generally AFish

runtus · 05/10/2004 08:39

Well, did the test and guess what, of course it was a BFN . I was more upset than ever before becuase for some reason it really felt possible this month. My Dh even sent me back upstairs to re-check the test and make sure it hadn't created a second line in the time it took me to come downstairs! So I guess it wasn't just me that thought maybe this month.......

Still not come on though so I said I would re-test in a week if still nothing. Nothing like clutching at straws now is there?! Will def go ahead with the temping and dr's appointment if and when I do come on, really want to know if I am oving now.

boo hoo

muddaofsuburbia · 05/10/2004 08:45

Oh Runtus - I'm so sorry. Here's hoping the doc can clear things up for you And there's never anything wrong with a bit of hope in our lives, so don't worry about having felt positive this month - positive thinking releases those endorphins - and they must make us more fertile!

runtus · 05/10/2004 08:53

Lets hope so, coming up to the 6 month stage and I really really don't want to feel like this for another 6 months......

krocket · 05/10/2004 08:57

oh runtus poor you, it's horrid isn't it. You never know though, it could still happen for you this month. x (I'm on 5 months - awful isn't it)

Miaou · 05/10/2004 08:58

runtus

MrsWednesday · 05/10/2004 09:26

So sorry Runtus . Do you know when you ov'ed? Is there any chance you could have tested too early? Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Any news muddaofsuburbia?

Welcome Jeddah - sorry, forgot to say hello yesterday.

No AF yet for me, but I definitely don't have any pg symptoms so I'm not getting my hopes up.

mrsflowerpot · 05/10/2004 09:26

runtus. Good luck with the dr, hope they are helpful. I like the idea that the positive thinking might help! Makes me feel better about all the money I've spent on testing

runtus · 05/10/2004 09:31

The daft thing is, since I had the chat with my friend at the weekend and she mentioned the lenght of my cycles, in my head now I am already feeling like I know I don't ov. Truth be told, it could just be that we have been unlucky so far.

Part of me really wants to come on so I can start ov testing to find out.....

muddaofsuburbia · 05/10/2004 09:39

Still no AF! 4 days late! I've never been late in my life. Expcept of course when I was pg.

First pg I had a missed miscarriage - D&C at 10 wks. Then pg with ds - no problems. If I am pg, I don't seem to have any symptoms apart from dropping off in the afternoon! I'm a bit panciky cos with hindsight I had no symptoms with my m/c either.

I still haven't tested yet - couldn't find the cheap tests in Poundland and I really can't afford the pricey ones in the chemist. Do supermarkets do their own brand?

We're also meant to be moving house on Monday, but barring a huuuge miracle from God (and I'm still hopeful) that's going to be delayed big time. ARRRRRRGH!

LipstickMum · 05/10/2004 09:46

Hi girls, I have been skulking around in the shadows since thread 10, wondering whether to join or not

I am a bit weirdly, paranoid that if I hop on the 'ttc' thread it will take ages to happen. However, it's still good to have support and be supportive, so I am going to lurk and join in a bit too, if that's ok..?

I am a bit unfamiliar with all the abbreviations though, can someone give me a quick rundown on them? They seem to be a bit too specialised to be on the acronym list! Things like bfn and bfp, negative and positive something?

We are ttc our 2nd, my dd is 16 months old.
