jeddah is this true!!! My doctor has NEVER offered me any sort of test. This is the 2nd time I have been referred straight to the hospital - and last time I went they said because we weren't ttc (at that time) they wouldn't bother to run any tests. If they had this could have been sorted nearly 4 years ago and we wouldn't be having these problems now I'm feeling very annoyed this morning!!!!

Runtus - I love the ww desserts but I will be having the full fat version tonight (heated up until the choc melts with a big dollop of clotted cream ice cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!) YUUUMMMYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

runtus · 18/10/2004 10:07

I agree with Jeddah S/heart, you should def have been offered some early tests (if for no other reason than that it would save time and money for the NHS, rather than sending you to specialists..) If you know of a bette gp in the same practise I would request to transfer or move practise if need be to a good one you know of. If this is the level of treatment you are getting now, is it ever going to get better??

sweetheart · 18/10/2004 10:10

I have always had a gripe about my GP. There was an incident a few years ago were he was suspended from the practice for having an affair with a patient!!!! Unfortunaly alot of doctors in our area seem to be over subscribed and I believe that GP's are like politicians!! None of them are any bloody good!!!!!

runtus · 18/10/2004 10:13

Ask around anyway, he doesn't sound to kosher!

sweetheart · 18/10/2004 10:20

Yeah I will for definate. There are 3 Dr surgerys in our town so maybe there will be a more sympathetic doctor else where!!!!

runtus · 18/10/2004 10:23

It's all a matter of chance really, unless you have been recommended someone?

binatracy · 18/10/2004 10:29

goodluck to everyone xxx

MommyD · 18/10/2004 10:30

Tania - your experience sounds VERY promising.
sweetheart - you are not alone - I too am on cd26 and ALSO have an annoying pain in my right boob. I am 99% sure I am not pg - I have no symptoms anymore.
Question for you clever ladies I was reading some of the other threads - implantation happens from 7 days to about 10 days after ov is that right? - looks good for you Tania?? So if you implant on day 7 are you more likely to get an early pg test positive ie. sooner than if implantation had occured on day 11? Is HCG produced AFTER implantation?

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 10:35

Good Morning girls, at last some people to speak to. Gee i hate this time difference stuff.

Thank you for all your replys to my question. I really hope that it is that i had a little bit later but nothing since. I still keep going to the loo to check if af has showed her ugly head dont know why cause not due till sunday.

Lipstickmum ~ Morning sickness is hard isnt it i had it with ds till 23 weeks but it was all day and especially when it was time to cook dinner i couldnt face raw meat or even veg for that matter.

Runtus ~ hope all goes well with your tests it keeps you going to know that you might have something to help you along.

MommyD ~ was the pain really that bad. You didnt need to do a big poo did you cause i can sometimes get that pain when i need to do one. IYKWIM

Jeddah ~ Iam currently on CD 22 I have either ov on either CD9 or CD17 or 18 i spoke to my natrapath and she said it is possible that i may have ov twice this month cause of the herbs that iam on help you ov something about menstral phase being the first ov that the MOON phase being the 2nd. All a bit hippy for me but we will wait and see.

Another question....How many days after ov are you meant to get the implatation bleed?????

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 10:37

I really must refresh b4 i type my post the last post i read was from jeddah and then the next i know everyone is here will have to catch up now. sorry

krocket · 18/10/2004 10:37

sorry no time to read all the posts - just wanted to ask - Runtus, if you don't mind me asking how long have you been trying and what made you think you weren't ovulating?

MommyD · 18/10/2004 10:44

No Tania - I did not need a big poooo! There is a big difference (I think) between period pains (which I had) and errr well, other pains. I had bad period pains on cd24 and they were so bad that I felt sick. They've gone now.

runtus · 18/10/2004 10:46

No worries Krocket, been ttc since May this year and only ever thought I may not be oving when my mate mentioned that my cycles are really long. Av is 38 days and by now they should be back to around 28/30 (came off pill in May).Apparently it is a sign of not oving....

Are youy having a similar thing?

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 10:50

Sorry MommyD to get personal so thay really felt like af pains. So do you think it was ov pains????

Sallie ~ i did get very heavy af after having ds but have always.

Sweetheart ~ Good luck with your weight watches tonight have some cake for me too pls. I agree with the other girls see a different Dr and really put on the tears.

Jeddah ~ It just guts you when people tell you they fell pg in the first month. its so hard to have that happy face for them. Dont worry it will be all our turns soon.

Binatracy ~ BFN

binatracy · 18/10/2004 10:52

do you always get implantation bleed when pg? ive not had any at all only stomach cramps for last week? ive just checked test i did yesterday and when first read it was negative but now there is really really faint line? does test change over time? not sure!!

MommyD · 18/10/2004 10:53

Tania - I was only joking with you - no need to apologise!!!
No I ov on cd13 or 14. I really don't know what casued the pain. I thought that AF would show early as it was like the worst AF pain I have ever had. It hasn't shown and is not due until Thurs (cd29). Don't like unexplained abdo pain like that - worries me.
Feel really blue today Always do before AF arrives

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 10:54

Runtus i hope your friend knew what she was talking about b4 she made you worry. IMO if your having any af at all you should be oving no matter how long your cycle is. But iam no expert.

runtus · 18/10/2004 10:58

Tania, thanks for the concern - my mate and I were actually discussing the situation another friend was in (b4 her ds was conceived). She was in the same position as me re long cycles and her Dr mentioned to her that this is a sign of not oving and put her on Clomid to kick start her system. I just went to my Dr's to see what he thought and to check in for the 1st time since I came off the pill......I fuly expected him to say the same thing as you but he mentioned it first when he heard how long my cycles are.

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 10:59

Dont know Binatracy sorry.

MommyD Sorry your feeling sad. IKWYM about the getting worried about pains. wait and see if you get it again maybe. Hopefully you dont get af. Fingers crossed. Are you strong enough not to test b4 Thursday. Iam struggling now that i had that mucus thismorning dh wont let me test though.

MINNIE1 · 18/10/2004 11:01

binatracy, i would'nt trust that test now,( incase of false positive) i would do another today or tommor to be sure.. Really hope you are and finger crossed

Jeddah, Not sure when i ov'd or if i ov'd at all!!! No symtoms just feel AF around the corner!! Fingers crossed for you and let me know when you doing the test.. There are some many of us near testing now getting exciting....

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 11:01

Wow runtus i didn't know that. Have you tried the angus catcus and all that other stuff that has been mentioned on here. maybe you could get some of that stuff and take it until your dr pulls through with the goods you never know it might work????

binatracy · 18/10/2004 11:05

thanks for that minnie1,i kind of thought that to! goodluck to everyone testing and sorry to all with af xx

MommyD · 18/10/2004 11:05

Tania - thanks. I am rubbish and crumpled and tested with First Response yesterday evening and got a negative. I was SO sure I would wait until AF was late (yeah, right - as I said wot rubbish)
I don't feel pg and probably tested too early anyway - due on cd29 (Thurs)?? Are First Response accurate?

krocket · 18/10/2004 11:06

thanks runtus, I was just wondering as I don't know whether I am oving and I was just curious what made you question it.
I don't have long cycles but have been using persona for 4 months and it still hasn't given me the ov symbol. I'm trying 'standard' OV tests this months so we'll see.

good luck everyone trying and everyone about to test
