Hulababy · 17/10/2004 11:20

Good luck Tania The second half of the month is just not so much fun is it?

jeddah · 17/10/2004 11:29

God girls am I preggers or not!!!!!!
the wait is a killer!

I am cd31 and 9dpo.........
I tested on cd29 7dpo........ and got a bfn!
we fly to Barcelona on wed cd34 and 12dpo we are only there for 4 days should I test before we go or wait until we come back??? (when we get back i will be cd37 and 15dpo) any ideas??????

MommyD · 17/10/2004 11:45

jeddah - Test when you get back!!! If you test before hols you won't know if it is a false neg. and in my opinion 12dpo is till too early to test and be sure of the result. Go on hols with the anticipation that you might be pg and looking forward to testing when you get back, at 15dpo and when you are more likely to get a BFP, if indeed you are pg!! That's what I would do!!!
BTW - have you got any symptoms? Do you think you ARE pg?

LipstickMum · 17/10/2004 11:53

Ooh Jeddah I am hoping you tested too early and will get a nice BFP in a few days time. I have had my nieces here this weekend so I haven't been on. As for your question, I'm afraid I Wasn't really mointoring my ov day scientifically, just judging it by cm and ov pain. I think I ov'd fairly early in my cycle though, so I would have been at least 10-14 dpo. SOrry I can't be more specific!
Welcome also to Crazylegs I hope you pick up some good baby dust from us here on ttc thread

SO, af was due last thu/fri and she still hasnt been, so combined with the 2 BFP tests, I am still happy it wasn't a BFLie!! Still having minor lower abdomen pain, but I think that is normal for me, I remember it last time very clearly.

I must go, got to go to the supermarket

Lots of love and ~~~~~~~~~ to you all!

Tania2 · 17/10/2004 12:23

Thanks for signing Jeddah hope more will do the same. Take MommyD's advice you are better of waiting and just enjoy your holiday hopfully you will get a nice supprise when you get home and test.
Lipstickmum i remember that lower pain i kept on thinking gee af will arrive any day now (didn't find out till 7 wks).
Hulababy ~ tell me about it i promised myself that i wouldn't read in to anything this month and just let af due date to come around and me say ohh i better test she still isnt here!!! so nieve of me dont you think.

Tania2 · 17/10/2004 12:32

Good night girls 9:30 Sunday night here in oz when i wake tomorrow only 6 days till af due and counting.......sh#t i hate this time of month. at this very moment i dont feel pg....i think?????

MommyD · 17/10/2004 12:35

Tania2 - I am confused this month. I also have the pain on the LHS. I knew when I ov as I had the pains and then they didn't go away. I keep getting the stabbing pains now. It's the AF pains that are confusing me. It has been a pretty constant dull ache since yesterday pm. AF not due until weds/thurs

LipstickMum · 17/10/2004 14:22

I think I had 'funny' af like pains with dd for the first 8-10 weeks on and off! Thank goodness I know roughly what to expect this time round.
Sounds like there are a lot of you waiting at the moment and you really have my sympathy, because it is AGONY, every waking moment is spent wondering and it just sux! However, I hope you all get BFP's if and when you decide to test
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
jeddah · 17/10/2004 14:38
okeedokee girls!!!!!!!
thanks for the advice will try and not test until I come back form bacelona on sat (cd37)........thats if af hasn't arrived!...theres still time yet
Just had a look at all my cycle lengths, one time it was 35d, least was 26d, but tends to be around 29-30.........I really don't think I am.....we'll just have to wait and see.
must go, we are having a dinner party tonight, it will at least keep my mind occupied!
Tania2 · 18/10/2004 00:49
G'day girls i know all of you are proberly still sleeping but i have a question.
When i went to the loo this morning i had mucus is was (TMI warning) thick alot of it and it had a tinge in brownish pink... is this just af warning me that she is coming????? i usually get spotting but that doesnt come till about a day or two b4 af due. af due on sunday coming. and it is usually just blood not mucus. Iam really confused now????
MommyD you sound as confussed as me and it seems we are going through the same thing. When is your af due???
LipstickMum · 18/10/2004 08:01
Tania, not being a medical professional or anything, I would hate to guess at what is happening!?!? If it were me, I would convince myself that it was some implantation spotting mixed up with a bit of the developing mucus plug..?? But, really, I have no idea
How is everyone this morning? I am keeping my fingers crossed for you waiters
I am wondering how early one experiences morning sickness I have had a few waves of mild nausea over the last couple of days. I know this is a 'good' sign, hormones raging an all, but let's face it, it's bloody awful. Last time I could just lie around feeling sorry for myself, this time I have dd to look after and 'get on with things'!!
So, lots of ~~~~~~~~ to all
Cobweb · 18/10/2004 08:09
Morning ladies waves
Sorry I haven't been around much last week and hope you understand that I needed a break from the pc for a bit hugs
Hope everyone is ok and BD'ing, testing and everything
Big hugs to anyone who's AF has arrived hugs
No news on me atm. I have had no more bleeding and felt sick most of the weekend on and off, so don't know if its the pregnancy or just a bug.
My scan isn't until Friday so its a long waiting game this week.
Love Cobweb xxx
LipstickMum · 18/10/2004 08:49
Lovely to have you back Cobweb
runtus · 18/10/2004 08:54
Morning girls! Been away from MN all weekend, so had loads to catch up on.....blimey you did chat while I was away didn't you???!
Good to hear you are doing ok Cobweb, we are all thinking of you and have everything crossed (well, not everything obviously , but most things!)
Saw the Dr on Friday and came away really happy because for once he actually listened to me and treated me like an adult. He thinks I may not be ovulationg (my suspicion) and has booked me in for a blood test to check my hormone levels. If the results come back as low he has agreed tp put my on Clomid and said he expects me to be pg within about 3 months after that! I know it isn't certain but I so much more confident now than I was last week about the whole thing. I could just tell something wasn't right and when my mate mentioned the lenght of my cycles it all sort of slotted into place, if you know what I mean.....So, now waiting on my blood test on the 29th and then the results a week later, really hoping the levels are low becuse otherwise I will have to be referred to a gynie and go down that route (which is undoubtably more complex and worrying).
Phew !
Enough about me, I read some very exciting posts re pg signs and testings coming up - any news girls??????? We need a good result so we can start a new thread - this one if FAR too long!
Hulababy · 18/10/2004 08:55
Hi and welcome back Cobweb
Still in middle of BD'ing season over here!
Hope everyone ele se is well. Good luck!
MommyD · 18/10/2004 09:09
Tania - af due Thurs cd29 so I reckon it is too early to test. Don't think I am pg though - don't feel pg. I thought I might be last week and I am still worried about the excrutiating abdominal pain (AF-like) that I had for a day and a half over the weekend. I felt sick with the intensity of the pain. (that can't be right, can it?) It's gone completely now.
I have decided to stick to NOT testing until next weekend, IF AF is late. AND NOT BEFORE"
Hope everyone is feeling good...
jeddah · 18/10/2004 09:13
Hi cobweb.....best of luck with everything!...I am sure friday seems like ages away! try and keep yourself busy!
Runtus, hope blood results are ok, I understand what you mean about not wanting the gynae route if poss!!
Tania2......sounds to be like ????implantation spotting......any other symptoms amd waht cd are you and when was youe od?
Today I am cd32 after od at 23/24, still not af! I have decided to try and forget about it all, have a great time in Bracelona and test when I get back!
The bloody waiting is a real killer!
LipstickMum · 18/10/2004 09:30
When are you of to Barcelona Jeddah?
Sallie · 18/10/2004 09:40
Good luck Tania.
I am still here - now on day 4 of af - very heavy again which has consequently knocked me out for the past 4 days. Anyone else experience heavy af after having had kids?
sweetheart · 18/10/2004 09:47
Morning ladies!!!
Cd 26 here and have a pain in my right boob (sure sign that af is on it's way!!!!!)
I was really hoping that this month would be "the one" as I've been using OPK's. Still, I have my gyne appointment to look forward to on wednesday!!!
Runtus, it sounds like your doctor was fantastic!! I wish mine was as good. I visited my doctor ages ago and he wouldn't do any blood test - he said the hospital would want to do thier own so there was no point in him doing them Now I've been waiting over 4 months for this bloody appointment and I'm convinced they will do nothing when I go.
Sorry!!! I'm not normally the sort of person that gets down but this bloody ttc lark is really becomming a burden.
I have my weight watchers weigh in tonight so rest assured I'm going to treat myself to a huge slab of choc fudge cake afterwards!!!!!
Oh p.s. welcome to all the newbies - and Tania2 - sounds like implantation bleeding to me - fingers crossed for you, I really hope your method has worked!!!!! (mostly so I can pinch it afterwards!!! )
jeddah · 18/10/2004 09:51
lipstick mum
we are off to barcelona on wed until sat, really looking forward to it! I am off work the whole week though.
when I get back I will be 14dpo and will test then. (if af doesn't arrive before, that is)
had a great dinner party last night . our best friends cam over, she is 20 weeks preggers! got pregnant the 1st month of trying!!!!!!!! I am so happy for them both, but VERY VERY envious!!!
MINNIE1 · 18/10/2004 09:51
Mornign all,
sallie ((hugs)) I have not kids (yet) but i do have heavy AF somtimes.. Hope you feel better soon.
Cobweb,
How are you feeling?? ITs great to hear from you..
Tania2, Implantation bleed, that the onlt thing that springs to mind, Finger crossed 4 you
Runtus, Hope the blood test go good for you.
I am not testing until AF is really late, I have no symptoms, had a hit of AF pains today.. CD32..
Hope all you ladys are well and happy
runtus · 18/10/2004 09:55
Sorry to hear your Dr is as crap as mine normally is, it seems that some of them gain a degree in being unhelpful at the same time the get their medical degrees! Hopefully you have better luck with the next appointment and get a nice one
jeddah · 18/10/2004 09:55
sweetheart your doctor is CRAP!
I would think about changing him/her>
It is very good GP practice to offer first line fertility testing!!!!!
I really would look at changing or making another appointment and insisting..... it is your right!
me and my dh were tested last month, because I asked for it!
runtus · 18/10/2004 09:55
ooh just thought, I discovered a fab WW chocolate desert on Friday night.......with marshmallows!
