krocket, Will you let me know how you get on with the ov test.. Cause i hope to start pining down the day i ov after AF this month...

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 11:13

MommyD dont know about any pg tests as last time pg i got a negitive but that was at night and i cant remember what test it was then i didnt test again till i went to the dr's thinking i had a tummy bug cause i had been sick at 3am (thats not morning sickness cause it was in the middle of the night for me...thats what i told myself) when the dr told me i was pg. so i have yet to have the joy of a positive test and be able to jump around with dh sing and laughing and all of that corny stuff you see in the daytime soaps.

krocket · 18/10/2004 11:27

will do minnie1! start today CD9

runtus · 18/10/2004 11:27

KRocket - have you mentioned your concerns to your Dr? I know there is a chance he/she will say there is nothing wrong and it is too early to do tests but you never know,he/she might also say ok lets have a look at whats going on?

jeddah · 18/10/2004 11:27

God girls....all this testing and waiting. I feel that I did test too early......and realise now that testing is better timed whrn you jnow when you have ov.

Mommyd, tania2 and binatracy..... implatation occurs anytime from 7-14 days from fertilisation and not everyone gets a implantation spotting. The pregnancy hormone HCG, starts to be produced when the fertilised egg implants itself, until this happens you will always get a BFN.

Bloody hell, this to me!!!!!!! I sound like Mrs friggin Miriam Stoppard!!! Only know all this as I have been doing loads of reading I am also on the www.fertilityfriend.com and looked at past charts of people who got preggers! implantation also occurred in some women at 16-18 days!!!!!! Hope this helps?

MommyD · 18/10/2004 11:36

wow jeddah - thanks. This would presumably explain why some women take longer to get their BFP??? If you implant day 14 after ov then you ain't gonna get a BFP two teeks after you ovulated, or when your period was due are you? Presumably this will also explain why some women get bleeding at the time the AF is due - not enough HCG to suppress bleeding?

jeddah · 18/10/2004 11:41

mommyd
absofrigginlutely!!!

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 11:49

Thanks Jeddah for that info. God i love this thread there is so much info and support here.
So when would i be able to test??
If i did ov on cd17 wouldnt today be too early for implantation bleed and if i ov on CD 9 wouldnt it be too late????? Currently on CD22.
Now iam really reading into my body. Boobs feel heavy, weeing alot, the mucus thismorning, lower pulling pain in tummy hummmmm what else?????
I cant think like this, I cant think like this
I will do my head in and af will arrive and i will be so upset.

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 12:12

Sent dh out to buy some milk and he comes back with chocolate and chips. bless his soul
Where did everyone go???

MINNIE1 · 18/10/2004 12:13

Tania2 - when will you test?? fingers crossed you are PG cause its such a let down when Af arrives..

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 12:21

AF not due till Sunday but thats a 28 day cycle iam anywhere from 26 to 28. See my natrapath on Wednesday so iam tempted to test b4 then so if i get a bfn i will buy more herbs if i get bfp i will by the herbs to help stop a m/c from happening. but wednesday may be too early to test i think i'll just have to be strong me thinks

runtus · 18/10/2004 12:21

I want chocolate and chips!

Just reads that Clomid makes you get fat - ahhhh!

Tania2 · 18/10/2004 12:25

Yummm they were good too all gone now!!!!
I read that too runtus thats kinda the reason i avoided that and went to a natrapath. I put on over 20kgs while pg with ds lost it now but it was hell trying to get it off dont want that to happen again so i didnt need to get fat b4 the cravings even started.

runtus · 18/10/2004 12:40

Have you read anything about Clomid and flying - is it something I should avoid at all costs? I only ask becuase we were planning on going to sydney in Jan/feb and now I want to be sure we shouldn't postpone (again). DP will be livid if we do have to.......

LipstickMum · 18/10/2004 12:46

Tania, I feel for you I really do. It sounds like your body is telling you you're possibly pregnant and yet, we all know how similar the pg and af symptoms can be. If I were you, I would just ignore the signs (easier said than done), the only sign to pay attention to is a BFP!!! Last month I thought I had all the signs and got af. This month I just ignored my body, which was relatively sign free except for af cramps and I got a BFP. It just doesn't make sense sometimes!!

Jeddah, Barcelona will take your mind of testing and all the rest of "am I arent I??" I hope!! CAn't wait for next weekend to hear how you are all getting on! It's almost as nerve-wracking as my own ttc experience!

It's so interesting, the different experiences we get from our GP's. My dp is a GP and I keep telling him how lucky he is that he doesn't have any of the 'MN women ttc' on his case, cause they know more details about conception than he does!!
However, it's important we stand up for ourselves too.

~~~~~~~~ some EXTRA FERTILE dust for you all!!
hester · 18/10/2004 12:46
Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend. I heard on Saturday that a friend of a friend has just got pregnant on her first attempt, at the age of 40. There IS a god, so why isn't she helping me?!
I'm going to start babymaking from Wednesday, so all wishes of good luck gratefully received!
LipstickMum · 18/10/2004 12:48
Oooooh Hester, those ppl who fall pg on the first attempt, make your blood boil!! Good luck to you in your babymaking over the next month.
Mirage · 18/10/2004 12:51
Runtus,I flew to Chicago & back whilst on Clomid & was fine.
runtus · 18/10/2004 12:54
Lipstickmum - could you do me a favour and ask your dh if I should avoid flying whilston Clomid? I forgot to ask the Dr on Friday and now my dp is nagging me to book flights to Australia.
No worries if you can't - just thought I'd ask
Tania2 · 18/10/2004 12:56
Runtus i havent read anything about it and flying maybe start another thread asking if anyone is on it they may know.
Hope you enjoy Sydney it is really beautiful you will have beautiful weather at that time of year. I live in Melbourne and have only been to Sydney once but really loved it. driving is shocking though sydney people love their horns!!!!
Lipstick you are soooo right i was just about to post saying that now my boobs arent sore and i really do feel nothing my body is playing tricks on me now.....
I will try to keep popping in tonight to catch up on the chat but i have to go now and watch my fav show Sex in the City. Dont know if you have it there but it is my all time fav show makes me laugh so much just what i need.....
LipstickMum · 18/10/2004 12:57
Runtus, I will ask, whether he will have that knowledged off the top of his head I don't know. You should also do an 'official' check with your own GP though
Anyone about having lunch?
hester · 18/10/2004 12:57
Thanks LipstickMum!
This thread is getting ridiculously long, isn't it? We've only got one BFP to go, haven't we? Come ON ladies, try harder!
runtus · 18/10/2004 12:58
Cheers Tania2 - just thought I had better check to be on the safe side.......I love Sex & the City, they play then nearly end to end on Paramount and it is a fab night in, when I can get rid of dp!
Dp's brother lives in Sydney, so we get free board and lodgings!
LipstickMum · 18/10/2004 12:58
Night night Tania waves
runtus · 18/10/2004 12:59
Cheers Lipstickmum - will have a hunt about elsewhere too...
