Tessiebear · 07/10/2004 15:06

OOOOOHHHH Minnie - didnt mean to forget to say HI - hope the rest of your day goes quickly!!!!

Hulababy · 07/10/2004 15:12

Tessie - I have found this on FF about having more than one patch of EWCM:

Multiple Eggwhite Cervical Fluid Patches:

Several patches of eggwhite fluid with no clear thermal shift probably means that you are having an anovulatory cycle. You can have fertile-like cervical fluid and still not ovulate. If you have several cycles that show this pattern, you should ask your doctor to look at why you might not be ovulating. If you have several patches of eggwhite cervical fluid and a temperature rise, then your ovulation was probably delayed due to some external reason. One of the factors that can affect cervical fluid (mentioned above) may apply. In any case, you should still have intercourse every other day when you see eggwhite cervical fluid to make sure not to miss an opportunity.

Fertile Cervical Fluid after Ovulation:

Some cervical fluid after ovulation is possible because the corpus luteum, though its main function is to produce progesterone, produces estrogen in small amounts and this may cause you to see some cervical fluid. If your chart does not show clearly that you already ovulated, do not stop having intercourse. If your temperatures show clearly that you ovulated, then you are likely no longer fertile. It is also not uncommon to confuse semen and eggwhite or watery cervical fluid.

Cervical Fluid and Semen:

If you find that you have more watery or eggwhite days than you would expect and that these often follow days or nights that you had intercourse, then you may be mistaking seminal and cervical fluid. They are quite similar but you will find that fertile cervical fluid (eggwhite) is clear and stretchy and shiny. It will stretch a couple of inches without breaking. Semen may be more whitish and will break when pulled. If you are in doubt and it is near your fertile time, always record eggwhite cervical fluid, even if it may be obscured by seminal fluid so that you do not miss a potentially fertile time and so that Fertility Friend will give you its most accurate analysis.

But to be on safe side, looks like more CD for you!!!

Tessiebear · 07/10/2004 15:21

Hmmmm .... havny Bd'ed since Friday - so i better get me too a bedroom PDQ. I suppose i could be OVing later in the cycle because of coming off the pill!?! I DEFINATELY have not had this egg-white before on this cycle

Tessiebear · 07/10/2004 15:22

Thanks for finding that for me btw Hula!!!

Hulababy · 07/10/2004 15:22

And when first coming off the pill, you may not actually OV at all in first month - that's a possibility too I'm afraid.

GeorgesMummy · 07/10/2004 15:54

Hello to you all. After 7 pregnancy tests I'm finally convinced that I'm not pregnant. I must have been imagining the symptoms (I really must try not to do that!)

Do any of you know how soon after conception symptoms can appear as it's my fertile time at the mo and bd only 3 days ago but my breasts feel really sore and tender? I really hope I'm not imagining things again, although I don't normally look for symptoms this early.

MINNIE1 · 07/10/2004 16:12

GeorgesMummy, What cycle day are you?

Pier · 07/10/2004 16:15

Hi, I'm new to the thread. Thanks CP3 for the invite. On CD24. TTC no.1 for 10 month. AF has been roughly 30-33 days, however last month it was 40 days. I think I've been having Ov pains for the last few months. OPK gave a positive reading on monday, however I got the pains yesterday and today. Temp went up slightly yesterday but came down again today. DH and I BD'd the last 3 days. Should we continue or can poor DH have a break - He's shattered. What do you think?
Also, any ideas on when I should test this month.
Congrats to all the graduates. I hope many more follow this month.

GeorgesMummy · 07/10/2004 16:23

Hi Minnie1, I'm on cd 17 at the moment ttc 2 for the 3rd month. I conceived ds in first month so I guess I'm just anxious that it's not the same this time.

spykid · 07/10/2004 16:59

ok,been lurking long enough! hope you don't mind if i butt in! We are ttc no.3, already have ds1 and ds2, ages 6 and 4, and yes this would definately make our family complete!
This is our first month of trying and I am on cd20. All the hard work has been done this month and now I am nervously waitng until next weekend so as I can test. Have only told best friend in RL, so could do with sharing my news so as I don't chew my nails off with anticipation!
Thanks for listening!!!

Twiga · 07/10/2004 17:09

Hi all, feeling much brighter today. Hulababy and Lipstickmum have a great weekend down in London. Hula, af sounds like a nightmare, hope you're doing ok. {{{hugs}}} to everyone with af.

Welcome to Bagpuss and Pier. Pier, there's a few of us trying for no1 so you're in good company (me, Hester and Minnie1).

Beckif, have a fab holiday, you're dp sounds wonderful and the party sounds like it was just lovely.

Tania2 have a great time at your friends wedding - {{{hugs}}} to your ds, hope he's feeling better soon.

Pamina3

CD17 here, hoping for a BFP at the end of the month, going to be good and not test too quickly if af late......maybe

Twiga · 07/10/2004 17:10

Welcome to the thread Spykid ++++++*+

spykid · 07/10/2004 17:42

thanks Twiga
Also thought i'd mention that we have tried to sway the odds in favour of conceiving a girl by bding early in the month and stopping before ov.
Actually don't mind at all whether it's a boy or a girl, but thought it would be worth a shot at adressing the male to female ratio in our house...'why should we put the loo seat down, you're the only girl?!!!!!'
Just hope I have't reduced chances of becoming pg by stopping bd before ov.

hester · 07/10/2004 18:08

Spykid - so glad you've joined us. I'm afraid you definitely do reduce your chances of conception by trying for a girl in this way, because you're deliberately avoiding your most fertile time of the month. However, you may be so burstingly fertile that this won't matter! I've known women who have chosen to do what you're doing for a few months, and then if it doesn't work just go for it all through the fertile period.

Pier - lovely to have you here, boosting the ranks of the first-timers. It sounds as though you've probably done it perfectly and can now give your poor guy a rest . Your temperature coming down again is probably just a fluke - IME temping isn't as reliable as other monitoring methods and I'm sure you have ovulated by now. Hope that helps and look forward to seeing more of you on this thread (but hopefully not too much more IYSWIM - MUCH prefer to have your company on an 'expecting' thread ).

Should add as health warning to all new posters: I am great at giving advice, having opinions and generally sounding like a know-all, but if I was that clever I'd be pg by now .

LipstickMum · 07/10/2004 18:39

Evening girls, these threads are unstoppable aren't they?? Can't leave for a second! I find it quite a mission to keep up with everyone's story, I may need to start taking notes

Sorry to hear about AF Pamina3
Welcome to spykid, hope you have lots and lots of luck on this thread

LipstickMum · 07/10/2004 18:40

Welcome to Pier as well

Slink · 07/10/2004 19:35

God there is soo much to catch up on hi to all well i am debating whether to to do the ovl test i need to start next monday. Feel alittle crap spoke to a friend(if you can call her that, the ones that don't call you but you do) anyway she said "oh your still not preganat" great as if i need reminding. I know th problem is not BDING at the right time it's always before or after so i hope but dh is not good on demand (low sex drive). Well needed a moan binge eating at the mo too not a good sign.

Good luck to all sorry for bringing the mood down just feeling a little lonely at the mo xx

MINNIE1 · 07/10/2004 21:01

Slink, X~x~x~X~x~x~X baby dust, You can vent away on here.. when you do get PG (hoping very soon) she can be the first to know...

Welcome all new arivals hope your not long on this thread (meaning you all get PG very soon), ... x~X~X~X~X~X~X baby dust to you all..

Twiga, Good to hear your feeling better, and no testing until your really late, finger crossed..

GeorgesMummy, It could be a week b4 your AF comes, b4 you start getting PG symtoms, as PG and AF symtoms are really alike, Someone may have a better idea?

Tessiebear, You could be in with a good chance, Fingers crossed that you graduate..

Anyone due to test??

How are all the PG graduates, have you any symtoms,

LipstickMum · 07/10/2004 21:13

I am going to be really nervous when it comes to testing, if I get that far, next week! KNowing that you all will be wondering who is graduating! Am having period type pains, don't know if it's implantation or AF . I think after this month I will make more of an effort into testing when I ovulate, so far I have being casual about it, BD'ing every other day around the time I think I do... blah, blah.
Sorry you feel low Slink, for whatever reason, it can be very draining. Hope you feel good soon.
I am going to have some choc Haagen Dazs

MINNIE1 · 07/10/2004 21:47

LipstickMum, I am so sorry if i mad you feel like you have to graduate, It could be a good sign that you have the AF pains, Your only on CD20 so it could be an implantation pain (spelling)... Fingers crossed and relax... what flavour ice cream do you have your making me hungary..

Tessiebear · 08/10/2004 08:08
