Oh and for those who have this regularly. Must be awful.

Wouldn't be so bad if my work on Thursdays didn't involve being locked in a classroom full of adult male offenders, with no way of being able to leave the room until the end of each 2.5 hour session. I just can't risk having that kind of accident in that kind of environment.

MINNIE1 · 07/10/2004 09:38

Hulababy,
I was the same, i had to take the day off it was to heavy.. i had to wear shorts and tracksuit bottoms to feel comfi, and that was at home.. Are you in pain with AF ??

Hulababy · 07/10/2004 09:41

I am in jogging pants and t-shirt - from my old gym days!

Pain not so bad today, but still feel sick with it. Tired anyway as DD had a disturbed night and must have woke 3 times in the night. Yesterday (and day before) the pain was really horrid. It is easing in that sense.

Trying to look at it all as a positive thing. Hopefully this is getting rid of the hormonal stuff, ready for a new start once AF finishes.

MINNIE1 · 07/10/2004 09:45

Hulababy,
{{hugs}} its horrible isnt it... as they say its a good clean out..

LipstickMum · 07/10/2004 10:46

Hula, I had a similar experience when I came off the pill two years ago. Initially I had an erratic cycle with non-eventful bleeds... until about 4 or 5 months later when I had the MOTHER of all pd's!! At least it felt like it to me the pain was intense and lots of bleeding although not as much as you are experiencing now
Dp (who is a GP) told me that while I was on the pill I wasn't ovulating ( I was under the impression that I was). I decided that the particular really painful AF was my body ovulating again, I was and still am convinced that up until that point I hadn't been ovulating...we got pg the next cycle
Sorry, you're having a tough AF this month.

Ah Minnie, 36cd means a longer waiting time, I am dreading next week, absolutely dreading it!!

Bagpuss30 · 07/10/2004 10:54

Hello everyone, I've been lurking on this thread on and off and thought it was about time I joined . We have two children already (4 and 2) and are TTC our third and last! CD14 for me today and have an O symbol on Persona which I have been patiently using for six months to try and speed things up a bit. Have to go and buy preg vits today as I'm under strict instructions from dh to look after myself. Hopefully it will be a short stay for all of us and we can get off to the next due in thread soon!

Hulababy, just read your posts and have to say I'm a sufferer of heavy AF, esp after dd's birth. The only advice I can give is to use max protection (Tampon and nightime pad) and go and change them about every two hours. Hot water bottle and ibuprofen for the pain and a couple of glasses of wine at night . Hope you are feeling better soon though .

Deejayrus · 07/10/2004 10:55

Hester, Thanks for the information. Unfortunately my Doctor is completely useless, so researching things for myself at the moment. Thanks again.

LipstickMum · 07/10/2004 10:57

Have a great time BeckiF! Sounds like you have a wonderful dp there!

Tania2 · 07/10/2004 12:50

Wow you girls can talk!!!
Hula ~ my natrapath told me that heavy af is good its a good clean out. Cause you haven't bleed properly in a while there is alot of build up inside that needs to come out and the more you bleed the more eggs you release. thats why when you are on the pill you have light af's and the cramps are all the bad stuff breaking away from the lining of the womb. I have always suffered from heavy af's when i was a teenager i used to have to take a day off school and when i started in the workforce i would have to take the morning off. ikwym about the big clean up though when i get out of bed (tmi warning) it would run down my leg lucky we have floorboards in our room!! knowing this now that it is good to have heavy af's makes it alot easier to cope with just keep reminding yourself that its all good!!
Geordie
Minnie i too had really bad pains the other day put it down to ov pains too but it also may have been wind...DH kept telling me off IYKWIM
Welcome Bagpuss good luck.
BeckiF sounds like you have a very romantic man, well done girl
Well i will be off for the weekend for my best friends wedding will be leaving ds with my MIL for the whole w/end the first time i have left him for more that one night and i generally pick him up early the next day too. feeling very worked up about it and worse still when he woke up from his afternoon sleep today he had a temp and was very sad, took him to the doc's she said its too early to tell what it is and gave him antibiotic's. ??? so now i have the guilt thing happening too iam feeing really and like a bad mummy now!! My poor little angel

Tania2 · 07/10/2004 12:51

Hulababy · 07/10/2004 12:55
