Hi TessieBear - it varies, but I find I get fertile CM for a couple of days before ov. So get started now and keep going over the weekend!

MINNIE1 · 08/10/2004 09:00

anyone that is temping can you give me your average temps?? (hope that makes sense)

Tessiebear, Wish i could help, good luck....

Tessiebear · 08/10/2004 09:19

Thanks Hester- i was worried i had missed my slot (so to speak) by not doing it last night!
Well, CD23 - for the whole month i kept THINKING i was OVing but without the "eggwhite" CM - now that i have experienced it i DEFINATLEY know i am about to OV! I feel so frustrated and impatient with this whole damn proceedure This month has so far felt like the longest of my entire life... the pressure to get DH to BD at the right time (he was really keen earlier in the month and now cant understand it when i tell him our earlier efforts were entirely fruitless!!!) We havnt BDed for the last week as we were exhausted and thought i had oved anyway and now to realise i havnt oved and to start again is quite annoying ... shouldnt it be fun?!? Anyway DH is exhausted with work but has said he will come home this morning to do the business - i think it may be our only opportunity this month as we have got a really busy weekend so i shall be laying with cushions under my bum for a fair part of this morning!!!

katzguk · 08/10/2004 09:23

hi minnie - not really a graduate but kinda!

anyhow need advice - don't want to tell people yet but DH's stepdad is staying this weekend only one night i think na di have morning sickness already, what do i do? the additional problem being its DD birthday party and don't want to say tummy bug because then should really cancel the party - help!!

Tessiebear · 08/10/2004 09:28

Katzguk - could you try really hard to pretent you are fine (even though you feel like sh*t?) He is a man after all and that usually means - totally unobservant, oblivious to what is going on around them etc

katzguk · 08/10/2004 09:29

would be fine except for the being sick bit DH tells me very kindly that i would be difficult to not notice!!! so ideas for covering up throwing up in the morning!

MINNIE1 · 08/10/2004 09:40

katzguk, Dry biscuits and a loud radio, pretend your in the showe, put on the radio.. this may cover the sounds of you being sick.. A dry biscuit help me with alot of sickness at work..
Hope one of them work for you..

katzguk · 08/10/2004 09:53

think might try to shower ours is quite loud!! and if he heres then will say................dodgy curry last night? can't even blame drinking too much!!!

sweetheart · 08/10/2004 09:58

I know it's been said before by - my you ladies can chat!!!!

Hi to Bagpuss, Pier and Spykid.

Tania2 - Re, your weekend away. Don't feel guilty. Enjoy your time away and use it as a reward. I bet your a fab mum all the time so you and your dh def deserve some alone time - esp at this stressful ttc time. Relax and enjoy - I bet your ds will have a great time with his nan.

Well I'm cd16 here. Had tummy pains yesterday and sort of watery cm so I dragged dh to the bedroom last night and insisted he impregnate me!!! Will be bding for England this weekend. Have yet to get a positive on the OPK's but I'm sure that will be in the next 2 days.

Runtus, are you about today. I hope your feeling brighter. If not just think - - - - -

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!! YYYEEAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

runtus · 08/10/2004 10:04

CD39, still nothing.....testing again tonight. Don't think I am pg but still a glimmer of hope.....

LipstickMum · 08/10/2004 10:11

Good luck with your testing Runtus, will keep my fingers crossed for you.. and any others testing this weekend

Don't feel bad Minnie, I don't feel under too much pressure, certainly not from anything you said, am just generaaly nervous, you know how it is. In fact, for the first time, if I am not pg I will have a whole group of people who will know EXACTLY how I feel and that is fantastic.

I have been wondering whether I am feeling implantation pains or AF pains... I daren't hope it's the former! Am going to live it up in London and try to forget about ttc and all that for 2 days!!

Sorry to hear AF arrived Pamina, but yes, we know how you feel, just the body playing tricks on us . Another month, another opportunity

valleygirl · 08/10/2004 10:19

Morning
wow - lots of chatting going on!
am a bit worried now havign read that a normal leutal phase should be a minimum of 10 days. mine was only 8 days from my temp rise to AF appearing, and temp rise was 6 days after a positive OPK test and egg white CM. So should i book appointment to see my GP straight away or wait another month to see if this is a more regular pattern? it was a short cycle this month for me of only 28 days, usually it's 30-32 days.
doesn't make me feel good!

Tessiebear · 08/10/2004 10:21

Valleygirl? How many months have you been ttc? Is it your first month off the pill? Also , how many days "Should"you get the eggwhite CM for before OV?

CHRIZ · 08/10/2004 10:23

wish i was told more about this when they taught us at school about periods feel like i wasnt given enough info

whens the best time to test?am or pm

tc

Made4it · 08/10/2004 10:27

Hi Ladies, may I join in? I've been lurking in the shadows hoping that I wouldn't need to join you this mnth but I fear I may be here to stay for a while. STATs: 30yo, ttc#1, on cd24 of an average 25 day cycle. I'm pretty positive that I am feeling the effects of af coming on. Couldn't help myself & did a prg test yesterday which showed BFN - but am confused because according to most cd23 would be too early to test, but with having a shorter cycle, have I waited long enough? urghhh. I think I will just wait & see if af shows up in the next few days. Good luck & masses of baby dust to you all. xx

valleygirl · 08/10/2004 10:28

i have been having unprotected sex since november as my dp previously had a vasectomy and in january we found out that the rversal had been a success, even though he has slightly below average sperm count. but it's only really this month that i have been jotting town temperatures and keeping a keen eye on all the signs.
i have to say that i assumed the egg white phase and the positive OPK tst shoudl go hand in hand and should indicate that ovulation should follow within 24-36 hours, so for it to be 6 days doesn't seem right?
is the vitamin B6 suplement meant to lengthen the leuteal phase?

Tessiebear · 08/10/2004 10:33

Valley girl.... Hmmmm a tricky one ... there has been some good advice on here about lengthening Luteal phases - i think it was in the last couple of days (worth a browse back) I think i remember it saying that it should be around 12 days (worth checking Fertility friend.com)
Welcome Made4it, BBB and chriz!!!!! __ Babydust all round!

Bagpuss30 · 08/10/2004 10:47

Morning everyone . This thread is so long I can only just about keep up with it! Hello to all the other new people that have posted and thanks to everyone else for the warm welcome yesterday .

CD15 and have ov'ed today so will be busy when dh gets home .

Good luck Sweetheart (we are nearly cycle buddies!) and I hope you aren't too exhausted.

pamina3, I have tried to use OPKs before but found them a bit of a faff so I have got a Persona monitor instead. It does roughly the same thing but tells you when you need to test which I find better - we will see if it is right at last this month anyway.

Runtus, good luck and losts of babydust to you too.

Well, I have ordered some Clearblue Digital tests from Early Pregnancy today as well as some Clear Blue Fertility Supplements. Has anyone used either before? DH is nagging me to take a pregnancy multivitamin (he is a born worrier as our ds has a heart condition) but I can't face the Sanatogen ones again (gave me an upset tummy) so thought the clearblue ones might be better.

MINNIE1 · 08/10/2004 10:49

Welcome Made4it, CHRIZ and BibbityBobbityBoo.. Baby dust to you all X

Bagpuss30 · 08/10/2004 10:51

VG I think it's Agnus Castus (sp?) that regulates your leutal phase. Also apparently drinking lots of fresh grapefruit juice can increase EWCM (don't ask me how but I read it somewhere).

Twiga · 08/10/2004 11:00

Morning all! Runtus all the best with testing ++++*+ Welcome to BBB, Chriz and Made4it ++++++

Bagpuss, I've been taking the pregnacare vit/folic acid supplement and it's been fine. Can be taken right the way through into breast-feeding and if you're vegetarian it's suitable (I'm not it's just the one i'd heard most about), haven't any experience of the clear blue one. Have also used the clear blue digital tests and seemed fine although didn't get the result i wanted!
