I'm up the duff and obese, according to those freaky weight charts they have in the doctors surgery. Weight loss was mentioned at every appointment with consultant...I just used to cry every time. But the Clomid still works...

I als have two very overweight friends who conceived within six months of trying, and was beginning to think weight myth was bollocks. I think it's all down to whether you have PCOS, as weight exacerbates symptoms and therefore makes it harder to conceive....

God, I'm boring!

Hello All- Hope everyone is well and I see there has been some lovely BFP! Very exciting- well done Floss and NH. I was on holiday and then very busy at work and to be honest, was trying to curb my obsession- hence not being online.

Tiger- I get sore boobs after ovulation (I think) I think it must be progesterone doing it. I did get this 1 month before clomid, but I understand clomid can make you have sore boobs due to hormones.

Well, this is a bit of a goodbye. I have had another AF and after 6 months on clomid (and 6 months of nothing after MMC) I have realised I need to stop focusing on all of this. I lost my baby exactly one year ago and I don't feel I have the energy to face the ups and downs. So I don't think I am going to be around here for awhile. I am now waiting for surgery, but that won't be until next summer, so I am trying to focus on work, home and DH.

Thank you to all of you who have been a great support and source of advice. Take care and I hope all of you achieve those BFP.

Hi everyone i was wondering if someone could answer my question? Ive finished my first cycle of clomid over a week ago however i am experiencing dryness downstairs is this normal? and can someone suggest a lubrication that is not hostile tp sperm Thanks

tigerschick · 12/10/2007 20:55

Hi all

lulu - if you're still around to read this, I hope you have a restful break away, pop back anytime to let us knwo how you are in general.

shazbot - everyone seems to have different reactions to taking Clomid. I haven't tried it but I think that pre-seed is recommended for lubrication. Also, don't know if you are drinking graefruit juice but that can also help. Good luck.

Hope everyone else is well and happy

scorpio1 · 14/10/2007 18:34

Hi tigers

Hows you?

tigerschick · 14/10/2007 19:03

Hi Scorpio
Was just going to come on and see who was here and I found you! What a nice surprise.
Well, I may be going to ov this month! I had a very feint line on my OPK this morning so will be calling on DH to do his manly duties tonigh

How you doing, lovey? How is your bean going?

Hope everyone else is well and happy

wizzywig · 14/10/2007 19:14

hi heartsandmoon, i was told by my gynae that keeping in the normal bmi range will help clomid work better. then again im sure you see plenty of overweight women out and about that are pregnant. its just luck i think.

scorpio1 · 14/10/2007 19:16

Hi

Bean fine, 14+2 i can feel baby now too.

You, ov?!?!?! YAY! grab him! get him! seriously though, all the luck in the world.

Everything else is well, they are still fitting my kitchen!

How did the funeral and things go?

tigerschick · 14/10/2007 19:20

Woo Hoo on your wriggly bean!
Funeral went OK... well as OK as these things can. Cried loads but I always say that that is what funerals are for! The good thing that came out of it is that I got back in touch with a cousin that I haven't seen for 18 years so every cloud and all that

scorpio1 · 14/10/2007 19:22

Glad it was 'ok' then, i know what you mean. When my nan died (at 96!) we saw lots of people we hadnt for years, sort of nice, a real sense of family.

Bean feels funny when he moves, like short sharp prods . DP is yet to feel though. Next scan 22nd november , we are so excited. We are going to find out the sex too, at the moment we call the baby he because it isnt as nice!

flosspot · 15/10/2007 10:13

Moocha · 15/10/2007 21:59

Hi there, is there going to be new thread for Oct - I am due to start taking my 1st course of clomid when my AF arrives this week, so if I could join I would be v grateful!

nh101 · 16/10/2007 12:15

Hi everyone - sorry I haven't been around for a while.

Just thought I'd pop in to say I had my first scan yesterday at 7 weeks

It's twins!!!!!!!!

Good old Clomid!

nomoremagnolia · 16/10/2007 12:46

Oh wow NH!!!!!
How brilliant!!
I want twins

nomoremagnolia · 16/10/2007 12:51

hi moocha there will probably not be a new thread for oct - our july one went til sept, we're not too good at keeping to our dates on here Maybe the next one should just be called 'winter 07'

nh101andhertwinbeans · 16/10/2007 13:04

Ha ha! Are you sure nomore?

Yes we feel very blessed.

Got to go back for another scan in three weeks cos I have a cyst on my ovary probably due to the Clomid. Hopefully it will just go away on its own.

nomoremagnolia · 16/10/2007 13:09

love the new name too NH101andhertwinbeans Hope cyst disappears on it's own (it's not a third bean is it? )

nh101andhertwinbeans · 16/10/2007 13:13

She said she couldn't be 100% sure there wasn't another one in there somewhere! But she said she was pretty sure there were only 2. She showed me the cyst - it seemed miles bigger than the babies!

tigerschick · 16/10/2007 14:16

Oh my goodness nh101!!

2 grins for your 2 beans!!

tigerschick · 16/10/2007 14:16

Oh and - maybe we should keep this thread until the end of October and then start a general Clomid one with out a date ...?

Sunshyne · 17/10/2007 17:17

Hi there,

Big congrats to NH101 what fantastic news.

Moocha - How are things with you. I found I had the most amazing hot flushes when I was taking Clomid which lasted up uptil about a week after. I guess it takes a while to work out of your system.

If anyone has any advise. This is my first cycle with 50mg Clomid. I started it on day 2 and then stopped on day 6. I am on day 12 today as still no ovulation. I am really worried that i haven't got any eggs left !!

Can they take a fertilised egg and then implant it after 7 weeks (this is when I have my problems with m/c's)

Moocha · 18/10/2007 09:21

I am taking my first Clomid Tab today on my first cycle - so will keep you updated. Hope this works

Beena · 18/10/2007 09:45

I am so confused. Am on first cycle of clomid 50mg, took them days 2 - 6. Started using clearblue digital opks on day 10 and got a + result on day 14 so stopped using the opks then.

But this is where it gets confusing - up to that date I had only had one tiny bit of ewcm on day 11 and no cm at all since then which I presumed was due to the clomid drying me up (sorry if tmi). But then on day 16 I got some more ewcm and again nothing since then. I thought you are meant to OV 12-24 hours after + result but then why did I get ewcm on day 16???? Can anyone help? This is my first cycle of clomid so have no idea if this is normal or not! Could it mean I have had 2 eggs released on different days or something? Or maybe I only Ov on day 16 and my body just took a long time to release the egg after the + result?

Consultant said to book in for day 21 test 8 days after + result so should I still do that on day 22 (8 days after + on day 14) or should I wait longer as had ewcm on day 16?

Why can't this all be simple!!

Sunshyne · 18/10/2007 11:24

Wished I could help you Beena but it is all a bit confusing to me as well. There are quite a few more experienced mtb on this thread I am sure they will be able to help. Good luck
