@Sammiantha2020 oh no! You kind of knew anyway. I suppose now you know you can move onto the next cycle. 🙌🏽 Such a short cycle considering the last few cycles you have had. But mine were like that my first two cycles were 26,29,31 and last cycle was 30.

@Wintergal fingers crossed for you xx

Wintergal · 21/01/2020 10:42

Yeah told myself I'd wait to Sat morning!

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 11:22

Ive just collected the taking charge of your fertility book from the depot. Looking forward to reading this. Not sure if this will actually help the relaxed approach but I've heard great reviews about it. Has anyone else read the book?

Sammiantha2020 · 21/01/2020 11:30

@Jenna30ttc that’s it, just have to take the positives from it... useless cycle ended sooner for me 😂.
You’ll need to tell us what we’re doing wrong @Wintergal 🤷‍♀️ x

How are we getting on with the need chilled vibes! I went to a gym class and they was a pregnant girl there and I stared at her the whole class poor girl. I've never felt sick during a class or had to stop moving cause of my boobs or feet lol xx

Kendrick12 · 21/01/2020 20:36

Hi everyone I've got a real crazy one for you here. So I normally have a girly regular 30-35 day cycle never any later than that!! I have 3 children and ttc #4. I have had at least 5 very faint positive tests ranging back from 7th January. I'm now on CD 41 and am now getting negative pregnancy tests but no sign of period or miscarriage etc. I am at a total loss as to what's going on, I've never been this late except for pregnancy. I get waves of sickness have had cramps on and off for weeks although nothing the last week apart from back ache, I've had sore boobs the last couple of days and still another negative hpt today! I really am stumped as to what my body is doing I will attach faint pos tests any advice would be very much appreciated. Has this happened to anyone before?? Thanks in advance. Xxx

@Wintergal oh no! Could be positive
symptoms maybe? Fingers crossed it is. How many DPO are you?

@Kendrick12 I can see a faint line. But I have also read on other threads from some people that the tests you are using tend to give out false positives. Have you tried a FRER? I would try that first. X

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 20:53

@sammiantha2020 so I did read bits and bobs of it (I need to read it properly to be fair )but have no patience at the moment lol. I might read it once af arrives. The bits are read were good except where it obviously talks about BBT tracking and noticing CM and how they are the most most important indicators of ovulation. I wasn't too interested in that because as much I do know BBT tracking is helpful I know that it helps if you have been doing it for a few months and also I don't want to do it because it would just stress me out. I figured if I didn't conceive after 12 months I would start BBT. Just doing OPK tests has mega stressed me out let alone temp charting too 😂. Also it's crazy when you hear about girls get pregnant literally straightaway and like we all discussed yesterday maybe the relaxed approach really does help. I have literally been obsessing this cycle and not sure if I can do this next cycle 🙄!

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 20:59

Other things I read you don't always ovulate the same time each month. Also stress doesn't always prevent ovulation just usually delays ovulation. OPK tests are not the best method of tracking. As you go into your 30's the days where you can have fertile cm can decrease from 5 days (which is what you can have in your 20's) to 1/2 days for some women. Which explains why I never notice it much because I'm 30, nearly 31. Once I start to read the book properly I will let you know some useful information. How are you feeling today @sammiantha2020?

Sammiantha2020 · 21/01/2020 21:00

@Jenna30ttc this month was my very first tracking bbt, but I only did it as I wasn’t 100% sure I was ovulating after my loss, I’d say it feels less stressful than opks, but the only thing is... it doesn’t confirm ovulation til a few days after it’s happened which obv ain’t not good if your only using it to time DTD. I’m just going to do it when I feel like it this month... which is a fair amount 🤣. I deffo can’t continue as I was... #newcyclenewme x

@Jenna30ttc I got 4 very faint positives from FRER but back at the start of January and nothing since! 😩😩 if it was a chemical I would have expected to have been loosing blood by now but absolutely nothing! I'm 10 days late! At least just completely confused and if I go to my doctor I'm sure he will say the same as my husband, just wait and see what happens but that is all very well when it's not their bodies!! Why is this ttc so mentally exhausting! 😩😩😩 xxx

Wintergal · 21/01/2020 21:01

Aw just like eight so no idea what's going on with me

Sammiantha2020 · 21/01/2020 21:04

Na I don’t ovulate on the same cd every month, cd 19 this mont? Cd 12 this - I just assumed my body was still adjusting though 🤷‍♀️. I probably only get 2 days fertile cm too... falling apart 🤣 we spend our 20’s doing everything to prevent pregnancy, then our 30’s the complete opposite. @Jenna30ttc

OP posts:
Sammiantha2020 · 21/01/2020 21:05

Cd 19 last month*

OP posts:
Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 21:16

@sammiantha2020 I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I didn't realise. I know it's mentally exhausting. I can understand actually why bbt can be good especially to check if you are ovulating. It definitely something I would consider later on. Defo going to try the no tests approach next month as soon as af ends dtd every few days. I kind of did that this month but I stopped at cd21. And didn't start as soon as af ended 🙄.

@Kendrick12 oh no I'm sorry that just be so frustrating for you. I think you should defo go to the drs and ask them for tests to be done and explain that it's really stressing you out. I don't understand anyway why drs are so reluctant to test especially when it can really affect someone mentally and physically. Have you maybe tried creating a separate post? Maybe there are other girls out there that could possibly help you with an answer? Sorry I cant help you much. Hear if you need though x

Kendrick12 · 21/01/2020 21:32

@Jenna30ttc thank you I'm pretty new here but I will try and start a new thread and see if anyone else in the same boat. Thanks so much for listening. Xxx

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 21:33

@Kendrick12 let us know if you get a response and keep us updated xx I hope you get an answer soon

Sammiantha2020 · 21/01/2020 21:52

@Jenna30ttc it’s ok, just one of these things that wasn’t meant to be just yet. I had surgical management so my cycles have done 42 days, 33, then 24... god knows! But after tracking my bbt I’m pleased that I now know I’m definitely ovulating...just came a bit out the blue this cycle with early ov & short.
We can do the relaxed approach girlies ☺️... well if you two don’t get some good news beforehand! I’d start a day or 2 after af, and continue til cd 25 at least every 2 days...then if it’s long/short we’re covered! x

Jenna30ttc · 21/01/2020 22:23

@sammiantha2020 lets do this. 🙌🏽 let us know when you finish af and ill let you know when I start af. Its so hard to keep a track of everyone's progress unless you read all the messages beforehand which I'm too lazy to do lol.
