TTC after miscarriage - January 2020

Hello all (and late Merry Christmas!)

Looking for TTC buddies in a similar situation! 👋

In September I accidentally became pregnant. We had planned to begin TTC in Jan 2020 anyway, so we were really excited. Sadly, at my 12 week scan on 25th Nov, I found out I had had a missed miscarriage and the baby had stopped growing at about 9 weeks. The week that followed was one of the most traumatic in my life, having failed medical management and then an ERPC. All this happened whilst I was in another country.

Since then my recovery has been okay but all I can think about is wanting to be pregnant again and have been hoping and praying that my period returns soon so that we can officially start trying.

This morning I have had brown discharge and cramping, so it does feel like AF is on the way. So I guess I am going to count today as CD1 of my first official TTC cycle?

I wondered if anyone had been through anything similar and if so I am so sorry for your loss and what you had to go through. It really is a horrendous time. 💐

Anyone want to join me? 💕

BS9790 · 15/01/2020 16:49

@StephyRose deffo a line there! Smile x

BS9790 · 15/01/2020 16:54

Sorry tmi post, had pain during BD on Monday. Then starting last night and continuing today, my lower abdomen/pelvic area feels sore. Not cramping, deffo more of a sore pain, its worse when sucking my tummy in!
I'm thinking most likely cause of this is an infection. Going to ring GP tomorrow to see if I can get an appt, feeling so fed up now.

MilsCookie · 15/01/2020 16:56

@StephyRose no doubt there is a line!!!!

How many dpo are you??

Michette · 15/01/2020 17:09

@StephyRose do you have cheapies opk??? You could do one. It picks up both lh and hcg and shows better

BecsterG · 15/01/2020 17:23

@StephyRose I can see it too!! Yeay congratulations.

I think mine was similar to yours maybe a tad lighter this morning. I’ve been staring at it all day. I’m not convinced though as I feel like I’m imagining it so have to wait and see if it’s stronger tomorrow! Wish me luck! Ekk

BecsterG · 15/01/2020 17:24

@Michette totally agree. Cheapies seem to show earlier

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 15/01/2020 17:32

I see it too!! How exciting! Please show us tomorrows too, we all need this positivity 😊

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 15/01/2020 17:33

And @BecsterG too, lets see those lines tomorrow!

BecsterG · 15/01/2020 17:41

Will do @SweetpeaOrMarigold

I took a video of my cheapie today but it won’t let me upload it for some reason.

toomanyleggings · 15/01/2020 17:50

@StephyRose I know they say those frers are the most sensitive but I always got stronger lines with other tests like the Superdrug own ones or clear blue. I can see the hint of a line on your frer. Fc it's a sticky bean implanting!!

Cruiser1 · 15/01/2020 17:58

@StephyRose looks like a positive to me yayyy delighted for you 😘

GemLou88 · 15/01/2020 18:41

@StephyRose. Looks pretty positive to me! Congratulations! Xx

toomanyleggings · 15/01/2020 19:01

Teacher. Me too. How long after your erpc were you off? I'm worrying about school now

Ejb86 · 15/01/2020 19:12

@StephyRose it's definitely a line! Congratulations!

GoldenBauble · 15/01/2020 19:16

Ah congratulations @StephyRose! That definitely looks like it could be positive to me! I'm loving that we're getting some positive stories already. Gives me so much hope. Fingers crossed for lots of healthy pregnancies 🌈

StephyRose · 15/01/2020 19:33

Thank you so much lovelies. @MilsCookie I cant quite believe it, is how I feel! ❤🌈

I only have two more FRER's, no cheapies but I am not going to test until Friday morning now, to give the HCG time to increase. Just in case 🤞 I was on tenterhooks today at work so I dont think I can do it again tomorrow 🤣 Will definitely do it again Friday as we are away at the weekend, going up to the 'Toon so it will be a mega drink fest. Would like to know for definite before then.😊

@Michette I think I am either 10 or 11 DPO as I ovulated either the 4th or the 5th. That line is more clear (if I can even describe it as that! 🤣) than when I was last pregnant at 11DPO.

Good luck to all the lovelies testing in the next few days @mlax @BecsterG @Michette 💗💙👶🏼🌈🎉🤞🤞

Anny27 · 15/01/2020 19:35

@stephyrose so happy for you lovely!!! Looks like you get pregnant very easily then haha - you were first cycle last time aswell weren't you?

BecsterG · 15/01/2020 20:02

@StephyRose thank you. Your plan is good. Not sure I could wait until Friday! I’m so impatient!! Grin

mlax · 15/01/2020 20:22

Dizziness and lightheadedness has started again.... 😖😖

didslysquiddlydoo · 15/01/2020 21:18

@StephyRose eeeek! Got everything crossed for you! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I've been at work all day today - awful lingering headache and heartburn throughout the day...

I'll be 8dpo tomorrow... think I'll probs do a test in the morning - if there's a faint line, at least I'll know quite quickly if it progresses or not over the next few days..!

Where is everyone else at in their cycle?! Seems a lot of people in the tww!!

Michette · 15/01/2020 21:24

@didslysquiddlydoo i am at 9 dpo

Anny27 · 15/01/2020 21:25

Yeah lots of us in tww!! I am 3dpo today so still a fair while away from symptoms and testing 🙈🙈

didslysquiddlydoo · 15/01/2020 21:32

@Michette you still holding out until 11dpo?! So sensible - wish I was able to attempt to do the same!! 😂

@Anny27 ahhhh - I started feeling symptoms at 3dpo - crazy stupid early, and all probably just wishful thinking, I know.. it goes soooo slowly doesn't it?!!
