@myttcjourney Ive had all the symptoms in the book this cycle, mainly now big heavy boobs, a cold and lots of cm still. But both strip and frer were bfn this morning :( af due Friday, pretty sure I'm out. Gutted. How's your tests looking @Ellabella234?

myttcjourney · 12/01/2020 19:06

@Elly88 nope def too early to count yourself out! Keep positive, symptoms are a good sign 😀

I don't know how I haven't tested yet 😂

Elly88 · 12/01/2020 19:26

@myttcjourney you're my hero 😂 I know but frers are like 90 odd percent accurate 5 days before af aren't they?

Ellabella234 · 12/01/2020 19:45

@Elly88 def stay positive - you're not out yet if you know af is due Friday! I gave in and used my last frer today, mid morning, it was the faintest of lines barely there to be honest could hardly make it out - maybe my wee was too diluted at that point but I think judging by Tues and Weds pretty strong faint lines (if that's possible haha) today's should have been the same or darker, even if fmu wasnt used, surely?

I still feel pretty nauseas most of the day. But I kind of lost hope now and I think if I was pregnant, I'm not anymore..

We're moving house in a few days (stressful?!) and OH has been painting and doing up the new place. He found one of my blinkin' Frers somewhere so I told him and he said it was a boy if I am. He said the 3rd bedroom in his head he's been calling it 'his room' - as in a little boy, and he quite likes the idea of conceiving in the new house. So I'll stay positive and chug on. Might do another test mid week though to make sure....😅 excuse my blabbing x

Ellabella234 · 12/01/2020 19:46

@myttcjourney no idea how've you've not tested yet 😂😊 xx

Liam2018 · 12/01/2020 19:55

So sorry guys so useless at knowing what my ovulation tests mean, any closer to a positive?

Testing mid January - anyone else like to join?
Elly88 · 12/01/2020 19:58

@Ellabella234 thanks, I'll keep testing too! You defo had some lines there before so don't count yourself out yet either. Moving house stress can't be helping! Let us know if anything else unfolds x

Rebeccalin · 12/01/2020 20:58

Hi all, new to mumsnet.

First time TTC. Currently 6dpo (I think based on calender calculations)
My average cycle is 33 days.

It's my first tww and I'm finding it so hard to not test! How do you do it!?
I'm trying to hang in till Wednesday when I'm 9dpo.

The only symptom I've noticed has been today, I've been so bloated, constipated and very gassy (really smells- sorry tmi) and I've been feeling nauseous.
It's likely just something I've eaten, but I've never experienced this before. I can't face any food right now!
Anyone else experienced this?

myttcjourney · 12/01/2020 21:40

@elly88 they don't show that early for everyone also because you have to remember people can implant from day 6-12

So if your a day 6 of course it will show up 9DPO, but if you don't until 10dpo it won't show up until 12dpo. It should show by Thursday if your due Friday

I've been so tempted but I don't have any tests in the house, I've made it like a mental challenge 🤣 can I get to 14DPO without testing 🤣

@Ellabella234 moving really is so stressful, strange the lines aren't getting darker. I'm crossing my fingers for you. Good luck with the move

Xxx

myttcjourney · 12/01/2020 21:42

@liam2018 the problem with those tests they aren't always progressive in the lead up to peak so it's hard to say. I have missed my actual peak a few months as it's so hard to catch it. This month I tested 6.30pm- negative and tested again 9.30pm positive.

Just keep testing and try and BD every other day 😀 xx

myttcjourney · 12/01/2020 21:47

@Rebeccalin I get bloated a lot in the lead up to AF but I have never got a positive so it hasn't been a symptom for me. I have been sick, sore boobs, peeing in the night loads and had loads of other symptoms over the months, so I try not to look too much into it now as it can drive you crazy

The 2ww is awful but after months of tears and negative tests I'd rather not stress myself out with the constant testing

Def wait until 9DPO if you can, no point doing it at 6dpo. The earliest I have heard is 7dpo with a frer

Good luck xx

Elly88 · 12/01/2020 21:51

@myttcjourney thank you, feel like you've been my voice of wisdom this month 😂 not sure how it explains the extreme faint line a couple days ago though unless we're just seeing things?

MrsH0692 · 12/01/2020 21:56

Hi guys, mind if I join!

CD23, AF due on Thursday! Really having to fight with myself not to test until Thursday! Anyone else in the same boat?

❤️

myttcjourney · 12/01/2020 21:59

@Elly88 was it a frer or a cheapie?

I did have a faint line on a cheapie test a few months back and it came up straight away, bf could see it too (was really really faint). But then nothing

I wonder sometimes if some the tests are a bit dodgy. I have heard recently that apparently frer's have changed and lots more people are getting indents

The only disadvantage of testing early is the dreaded chemical pregnancy thing as well

Can never be sure until dreaded AF shows though, so don't fret ☺️ xx

myttcjourney · 12/01/2020 22:00

@MrsH0692 welcome! Yes a few of us are due to test this week coming

I'm due wed/thurs, haven't yet tested and trying to hold out!

Good luck x

Elly88 · 12/01/2020 22:05

@myttcjourney it came up on both a frer and a cheapie strip. Tho could easily just be seeing things or a shadow/evap

MrsH0692 · 12/01/2020 22:06

@myttcjourney

I’m trying to hold out too, but I just want to know 😭

I’ve got a few cheapie tests, but not FRER.. too early to test and not be an FRER isn’t it 🤣

myttcjourney · 12/01/2020 22:09

@Elly88 very strange, it prob wouldn't be an indent on 2. Not sure what the chances of that would be but I don't think high 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

What day was it? xxx

myttcjourney · 12/01/2020 22:10

@MrsH0692 how many dpo are you? x

MrsH0692 · 12/01/2020 22:14

Well.. according to my Flo App I’m 11 DPO however I got a positive OPK 2 days later.. so 9 DPO. Xx

myttcjourney · 12/01/2020 22:17

@MrsH0692 if you got a positive opk 2 days later then you probably would have ovulated the day after, so you may be only 8dpo

I think if you can hold out until 10dpo that's when the results are more accurate, I'd always use frer rather than cheapies but sometimes the cheapies are good to get the POAS fix 🤣 xx

Shall3308 · 12/01/2020 22:22

Hey

so ive just joined as i was going mad symptom spotting, ive been ttc through donor for a few months. I ovulated last sunday and donations to cover this.

Today i started spotting, really light, and my boobs hurt and i feel yucky sort of bloated and off. I think im about 8 dpo and trying so hard not to test and trying not to get my hopes up its so difficult.

MallonMary · 12/01/2020 22:25

Hi all, I'm 7 dpo (due Sunday) ttc #1!
Haven't tested yet... have ordered some ic which should arrive weds.

Would love to see some bfp on here x

MrsH0692 · 12/01/2020 22:32

@myttcjourney

Yeah so will be 9DPO tomorrow, will maybe get some FRERs tomorrow and test on Tuesday 😂

I feel pregnant, is that mad? I feel different but think it’s my head playing tricks xx

myttcjourney · 12/01/2020 22:38

@MrsH0692 no loads of people say they just knew 😀 doesn't sound mad xx
